Patchouli Musc

Patchouli Musc by Narciso Rodriguez is absolutely gorgeous! Even though I usually dislike patchouli, this fragrance doesn’t smell like it at all. Instead, it wraps you in something warm and addictive. The patchouli is just a soft hint in the background, blending perfectly with creamy vanilla and musk. It feels luxurious, sexy, and perfect for winter.

I am testing from a small (aged) decant. Very pleasant on first spray, but nothing like I expected! Mild scent, which I could imagine being suitable for most times or places. Interestingly, I seem to be having a different experience from most: I smell earthy patchouli and musk, with maybe a hint of spice in there. No discernable sweetness or flowers, and no vanilla. Also doesn't really smell like anything in my collection, and is certainly different from the many Narciso scents I have owned or smelled. Be warned though that there is an aromachemical in the background that's kind of burning my senses. I can't really "smell" it, but the brain-piercing feeling I get when I sniff it lets me know it's there. For that reason, I recommend avoiding a blind-buy. (It doesn't really bother me, but I know a lot of people have big issues with them.) I do wonder if what a lot of people are picking up as "floral" is what I am picking up as "aromachemical"? Possibly leans a bit "masculine", but could easily be worn under something that needs a bit of grounding or longevity. I think it'd be fine for an office scent.

Patchouli is finicky for me especially when it’s combined with sweeter notes . But as with most of Narciso Rodriguez’s fragrances this is done very elegantly . This takes my breath away when I first spray it . It’s incredibly enveloping and intoxicating I would describe this scent as having an enveloping clean but damp patchouli with a soft powdery vanilla . The floral notes are also there but they are very smooth, and creamy. The musk is a bit piercing similar to the way it’s presented in Pure for Musc for Her, nevertheless it pairs nicely with the softness of the vanilla and patchouli . This would be great to wear in cold winter nights. Also, this fragrance gives me a similar sensation to Jadore Lo’r 2017 edition .

Vanille Musc. That should've been the name of this perfume. Vanilla is the most dominant and obvious note from start to finish. Sweet, edible vanilla. Musk is in the passenger seat next to the vanilla. Clean, fresh musk, just like in Pure Musc. The patchouli comes 3rd in prominence, mild & green. It's very likeable but far from the "patchouli and musk" the name promises. Unisex musky gourmand, more of a mature wear for cools nights. Like.

I agree with other reviewers who said this should've been called Vanilla Musc or Vanille Musc. Patchouli is not the star here. This is a spicy vanilla, but the dry down is a little sweet. It's definitely unisex. This would smell amazing on a man. You'd want to snuggle up close to him. Don't let the initial spice blast turn you off. Just let this juice sit for a minute or two and then enjoy.

This is a floral gourmand. Not sure why they named it “Patchouli Musc” when “Vanilla Musc” would have been much more accurate, and probably would sell better since vanilla is more popular than patchouli. Really curious what the heck they were thinking. And being so difficult to sample this line, many of us are blind buying it expecting an earthy, green, woodsy musk that you’d expect from the name. Instead, we got white florals sprinkled over sugary kid’s cereal in a big bowl of whole milk. It’s not bad, just not what I expected nor wanted. I sold my bottle.

I don't get any patchouli or musk from this. I get mostly Amberwood? with a touch of vanilla and a hint of sweet florals.

By far the sweetest of this particular line. The least middle-eastern arabic oriental (whatever you wanna call it) of this line. The most mainstream/commercial scented of this particular line that is not supposed to be a mainstream/commercial line. Im not knocking it; Its a scent that will please almost anyone. I agree with one of the reviewers that this should have been more aptly named Vanilla Musc instead of patchouli musc. Speaking of patchouli it is blended into the background here. Its slightly smokey and slightly spicy. I can pickup the floral a bit; I believe its Ylang Ylang. It does smell good. As the scent dries down it loses a lot of that sweetness. Not bad. When Oud musc was released (2019) it was noted to have been the last in this line, so I was excited to see another offering here. Its just not what I was expecting thats why my review "reads" kind of negative, but its a good fragrance at the end of the day. Also, I do believe that these musc orientals in this line are all supposed to be unisex.....

first of all, after trying the last two releases for the last two years oud musc'' and ''santal musc'' I was totally forgetting about this house and I told my self nothing will come after the masterpiece ''amber musc'' the lord of the sensual perfumes, I was passing to Harvey Nicols and the salesman told it just came please try it ,I give it a chance and I spend 10 minutes with it, OHHHHHHH my god woow this is breathtaking definitely simple and sophisticated at the same time this perfume is a sexy balsamic boozy classic, the spices are sweet not salt and after 5 minutes the white flower with patchouli leaf with a touch of vanilla attacking your nose to tell don't worry you are going to pay to get me, I purchased it two days ago,I tried several times, fantastic it will give you a good mood, it's fit for office, date, and home, Longevity :8 hours and more. sillage: beast. projection: 1 meter and a half which is fine. Rate: 8.5/10.

Sweet florals and vanilla! This is what it was supposed to be named. Patchouli is not the star at all. I have smelled this kind of scent in small Middle Eastern brands - the likes of Ajmal, Rasasi, etc. Very sweet! It gets better at the dry-down. It is not like it, but it gives a feeling smilier to Noir Pour Femme by Tom Ford. They are different, but in the same family. Santal Musc made me buy this - which is a stunner - Santal Musc worths every penny if not more, and deserves more attention. But this one, I'm just not impressed to say the least, especially at this price point.

This is for me and by far the best Narciso musc fragrance for woman I have smelled! Just love it! A musk vanilla patchouli beautiful scent! Can't stop smelling!!!!! Wow! I do own 7 of his fragrances and this is just the best!

Spicy sweet rose... Floral sweet patchouli with woody musk. Vanilla, fruits, white floral, woods, and patchouli. Nice.
