Rose Musc

This scent is as beautiful as the bottle! Rose Musc is another deep, spicy, rich rose scent with cloves, black pepper, labdanum and patchouli. It’s warm and enveloping and smells very complex. The opening is straight floral: dark roses and peonies, but after the first minutes the cloves and the labdanum join in and add some spiciness and warmth. Patchouli, woods and musk round up the composition and offer a great base for the spices and flowers to keep going for hours and hours! As mentioned, bottle is splendid, a shimmering, pearly gold with dark rose, narrow edges. Keeps the shape of the regular For Her bottle design but these Oriental Musc Editions have a front central coloured plaque and look very pleasant to my eye! A bit more expensive than the regular line, Narciso For Her, but not too pricey for the quality of the scent and the bottle design. I wish this line would be more available for testing and buying. I mean by that not simply blind buying online. I am trying for months to find a place somewhere close to me to try Jasmine Musc since white flowers and yellow flowers are more to my personal taste than rose.

09. June 2016 Tested in several time on skin and paper already, available here in stores already 185eur for 100ml. All i can say is that this is extremely well done and beautiful. Another high class fragrance from the house of Rodriguez. As one revuewer points out in the opening it resembles very much V&R "Flowerbomb rose explosion" but this is obly opening. And where Rose explosion is unbearably heavy on oud and other oriental notes and more of a winter time fragrance for me - Rose Musc is lighter and very much wearable in summertime as well. The opening is all about heavy labdanum and rose and woods but then the scent becomes thinner and rose more delucate and the middle stage is indeed dominated by saffron but the ckoser to drydown the more of musk and rose you get. That kind of light soapy musc with a delicate rose smell, like a high quality rose scented soap, without turning actually into soap itself. Just one simple word: Awesome!! And i really would love to add it to my selection of scents, guess ill have to wait till its on discount. But this one is really good, also in terms of sillafe and longevity!!!!

I love this one! I do generally love rose and sandalwood though. Opens up with a sweet, slightly spicy, rose with a sandalwood base. Then the rose calms down and there is a lot of sandalwood and a honey note. It is a very inoffensive smell once it dries down. I can't smell neither cloves nor cinnamon in here, and definitely not peony. It's probably good that I can't smell any cinnamon here, as that pushes perfunes into the potpurri-territory. This is one of those dark scents that are well suited for winter in front of a fireplace, or during night time in the summer. Very warm and inviting, not particularly complex. I wouldn't say it's middle-eastern - too soft for that. Interestingly enough, closer to the drydown, this begins to smell quite like Timeless from Makeup Revolution (which completely lacks the sandalwood note)... probably the cheapest perfume I own. I love that perfume though, but the same, slightly synthetic smell is present in both of these. Funny to think about that one is 10x more expensive than the other!

Very expensive bling buy. I was too scared to open the box! The packaging is really luxurious. The bottle reveals itself like a glistening bar of gold on a dark red velvety pedestal. The fragrance is stunning. A bit of the NR DNA but really leans more towards Lady Vengeance and Lumière Noir by MFK. Roses on a bed of spices. Maybe its the combo of cinnamon and saffron, but I smell incense. Maybe it’s the laudanum. But it feels like I am wearing Donna Karan Black Cashmere with roses on top. Warm and fresh at the same time. Is it worth the money? I think if you are a perfume collector, you may find many similar perfumes in your collection, possibly cheaper. But all in all it’s a well made perfume in stunning packaging.

Unlike other reviews, I definitely can find the NR Musc DNA in this; in fact at first I was afraid I made a mistake and sprayed the other instead. But then, WOW! The silky, velvet and dusky waves of musk started to flow to my nose and I fell in love. There is a note that is very persistent throughout this perfume, I believe it’s the saffron, that really makes this stand out. I am searching for the ultimate Rose perfume, and new I have added a new category just to be filled in by this perfume: the Dusk Sand Rose, if that makes sense. I was really sad when I checked the price but at some point I will surely splurge in this one!

Love at first sniff, I know it's not smart to blind buy, especially at this price point, but thankfully I am happy to add her to my stash. I think I will only be able to wear it in cooler weather, but it's cosy,woody goodness comforts me. I'd say it's definitely not a safe blind buy, but I couldn't find any way to try it first. Not going to appeal to everyone who enjoys light and musky scents, or even a die hard Narciso Rodriguez fan, but if you love woody, deeper fragrances, it could be a gem waiting for your appreciation. Shame about the price, but I splurged....

I am a fan of rose scents and am lucky to own several great rose perfumes. So, at some point, I thought that I could not find any new one that would not be a linear combination of the other ones I have...besides, I've never been attracted by Narciso Rodríguez perfumes. However, when I smelled RM I found it irresistible - it's such a sexy rose! And the quality of raw materials seems top to me. So I could not resist to buy a bottle - fortunately I've got quite a good price in a German airport free shop, quite cheaper than the retail price in perfume shops.

i tried it 4 days ago in an airport before my flight and the following day when i took a shower it stayed on my arm!! talk about longevity. the more it settled into the skin, the greater it smelt. it did smell a tad bit too strong after initially spraying it but as i said, the more it sat and "developed" the better it smelt. literally gives off arabian princess vibes and i LOVE it. trying to find it everywhere but i can't seem to :( although it is a bit overpriced and over my budget... i am willing to splurge a bit for this!

ROSE & SPICES!! this isn’t everybody’s cup of tea!! It is definitely a winter scent, or maybe for special night-outs; I get the saffron and pepper well mixed with roses, beside the sense of insence even though it’s not listed above; All in all I would say that this fragrance is perfect for its own people, you know as somebody is fond of spicy woody dark and bold fragrances, it definitely works amazingly on both genders, perfectly unisex fragrance!

Ridiculously gorgeous. I keep getting little puffs of this scent. The rose is a deep, realistic and yet distant rose. It’s an accent not the main player. For me it’s that clean skin-like “for her” musk. It’s not laundry. But like clean warm human skin, just better. Soft spices and this wispy rose. Enchanting. Projects well and lasts. Invites people in rather than giving way all it’s secrets up front. Backup bottle worthy ❤️

I've written my thoughts about this fragrance in the past, but I'm retesting it and I still can't decide which I like better- rose musc or jasmine musc. I adore the rosy powderiness of this perfume, the development of woody notes and pepper add to this fragrance in the most wonderful of ways. Always a love. That's all.

This parfum is very nice ..it turns me on ..its a very intimate smelling scent.. I'm going to wear this beautiful parfum when I'm making love with my husband he going to like it....its perfect ...update this reminds me of tom ford rose prick ..but rose musc is way more womanly than rose prick.

I was in love with Elizabeth and James Rose De Mai but my husband absolutely hated it and he rarely complains about perfume. I find it difficult to find a rose that isn’t sickly sweet with vanilla. That combination really nauseates me. This is a perfect spicey rose without the added sugar.

This is SOO good! Its rosy and musky and beyond words. Not really the usual Narciso DNA- even better. Its a lot like Clinique Beyond Rose but ten times better.

Rose, oud, musk. Perfectly blended. I love this on my wife...but i think i will use too. It's so full and smooth. Seems to be sensual also for a man.

This will be my last NR fragrance. The last 2 I got were lovely smelling but really weak (Musc Noir & Musc Noir Rose). This one is more of the same with a bit of spice thrown in and some patchouli to hold up the rose. Luckily the 100ml bottle is on sale for less than half price or I would be very unhappy. What I don’t get is why NR churns out the same smelling fragrances. Unfortunately nearly all of my purchases have to be blind buys, as I live in a country area with no department stores, and few testers in the chemists. I mainly rely on reviews on here, and have so many scents I don’t like. However, getting back to this, it’s nice, typical NR DNA and with a bit more bite to the last 2 I bought. But not much.

This can hardly be called a new scent, because it is exceptionally similar to MFK Oud Silk Mood, at least in the beginning, with moroccan rose combined with the green herbal-woody note absolutely dominating the opening. I cannot say that the perfumer Sonia Constant literally copied Oud Silk Mood, but the similarity is undeniably there, plain to see (i.e. sniff). However, this scent quickly dries down and turns into a spicy mix very similar to - Dyptique Volutes. So, this is a lovely fragrance, but only if you don't know that it's a rip-off of other, more original ones. Btw both Silk Mood and Volutes project much better and last longer than this one.

This evolves in such an interesting way! I looked at the votes before trying it and didn't know what to expect. NR Fleur Musc and Lancome Oud Bouquet? How are these two connected? Well, turns out it smells like Fleur Musc in the opening, and Oud Bouquet in the dry down! Starts with that sour rose that I hate in Fleur Musc, so I was initially unhappy with it. Then as that sourness fades away it sets into a deep, sweet wood scent. In the middle there's something slightly medicinal, but not in an offputting way. Seems rather strong, I only dabbed a tiny bit on myself from a 1ml sample, but it's been filling up the room!

I must say this is very typical scent from Narciso Rodriguez. Smells like rose, musk and wood to me. Quite strong, as usually making a statement. The one that gets attention, not a modest one. I think it's either a scent for mature ladies or hippy girls smoking a water pipe in some bohemian bar. I don't mean that it's trashy in any way, I just find it kind of oriental and attention-seeking. It's on the border of liking and disliking for me, that's the best I can describe, how it makes me feel. It's not a kind of scent I would wear, but I don't say it's bad either.

Woody Rose Musk with some chypre-ishness about it that gives you that oriental feel. Comforting, warm smell, not particularly intense but like heavy water resides in your skin forever; its predominant woodyness makes the scent a bit linear and monotonous, and yet sensual, homely and inviting, though hardly invigorating, indeed, as it lacks some fresh, airy component, and hence might be rather overbearing for the summer. Love in a cold climate for me.

Beautiful spicy, woody rose. Unisex. This is the most unorIginal out of all the Narciso I’ve tried before. I also cannot smell the Narciso DNA on this. However, this performs just as well as the other Narciso. Perfect projection, not too light or too strong. Sillage is excellent. Above average longevity. Tested from 4ml sample vial that comes with a box.

Friendly and wearable with a bit of depth to keep it interesting. If you are not into rose fragrances, it is inoffensively rosy enough for you to say “oh”. If you like roses, it’s perfectly passable. Happy and pretty. It makes me feel like putting on a little sundress go chill and have a cocktail with my girlfriends. ;)

I initially loved this, but after buying it after 1 spray, I don't like the dry-down. If anyone wants a sealed full bottle, let me know. UK only. The rose is beautiful but it goes in the dry-down leaving sweet cinnamon spiciness. I'm not keen on too much spice and I'm sad that the rose doesn't last until the end.

This fragrance explodes in your face. It is dark and floral and heavy. If you like rose, wood, musc, ash and cloves then you will love this fragrance. It is certainly of high quality.

The ingredients remind me of rose explosion by viktor & rolf a little. I want to smell this. Sounds interesting

Well - it is oriental, I guess. And a little nice - maybe? I got this for a very good price, but I still don’t know if it was worth it!! It is a quite cold rose, I think, but with very much pepper and clove. So, not warm spices, in my mind. Actually, more pepper than rose! 😯😦 I am disappointed in this, since I had high hopes - based on how absolutely fantastic Santal Musc is!! That one is truly worth the gold bottle and packaging. But this, I think I will try to sell. And it is the FIRST of the fragrances from Narciso Rodriguez that I did not like!! Now, I have to wait for the deliverance of Fleur Musc, which I ordered before it goes out of stock everywhere. I hope it will turn out to be a better choice!!! Next day: If I am not going to sell this, I think I at least have a way of saving it - by layering it with Juliette Has A Gun Mmmm... it takes the harsh edges off. Maybe there are more layering options, as well. But as for blind buying fragrances - I ask myself: have I learned my lessons yet?? 😳

This smells like a classy version of Michael’s or a similar craft store. Notes of cinnamon, rose, woods, with peony behind it all to lend a slight sweetness, wearing this is like if you took all the best parts of a craft store and brought it home, leaving behind the glue and paint and plastic toys. On dry down the rose becomes nicely jammy and the patchouli, wood, musk, and pepper work together to create a scent that’s almost amber-y. This is very easy to wear if you enjoy rose scents. After about 20 minutes the cinnamon and clove dies down a bit and the fragrance mellows into a warm, amber musk with a sheen of light red rose.

It is not a love at first sight, because the rose is so strong with just one spray. After 15 minutes, then it became a gorgeous and sexy rose and musk accord. This rose is very unique compared to other rose fragrances on markets. Highly recommended for women 25+. Will be good for all seasons day and night. It has some similarity to its fleur musc.

Sorry, not to be negative but something is wrong with this brand. Almost non of the perfumes have a personality, also silliage is very weak. Never pay this price tag on it, a lot of better niche ones exist.

No lasting what so ever, 1 hours the most & smells old oil's gone bad ,;was blind buy after reading here reviews and understood not believing no one till you try it your self ! The worst parfum ever, smelling old outdated oils ! PS. My favourite of NR is Pure Musc white bottle ..

Very spicy and at your face, completely different from the normal Narciso range which tend to be soft and elegant. Not a safe blind buy if you are expecting normal Narciso DNA.

Curled up on your sofa, soft shirt under fine merino wool, luxurious lounging... Vintage velvet dress, deep red, stately old library with older oriental carpets, warm lighting, low music... The daydreams this gives. The next man I date, I’ll ask him to wear this for me, please. And the bottles in this collection are striking of course, but the matte plaques really are the lux touch. I bought this in the summer, misted myself a few times at night, it doesn’t get that hot here and it rains a lot year round (Nova Scotia Canada) so I find many fragrances work well all year, but now that it’s dark afternoons and dipping below freezing, the gold bricks were made for it here. Interesting comment from a neighbour I passed; ‘Rose smells so good here because of the salt & brine in the air.” I thought that was interesting. In summer, coastal areas here are full of wild roses. I sometimes forget how many variables scent is affected by. This was a blind buy, love rose + NR works great on me. I layered with Elizabeth & James Rose, this is what prompted me to review. Outstanding together. About an hour after NR mist, I thought why not, and I’m so impressed. Deep, dark & smooth. E&J doesn’t tend to last long on me, sure does now. I say this a lot- I can’t wait to smell this on my sweater tomorrow. If you get the chance, go for gold.

This is a beautiful rose fragrance. The rose is jammy and deep and well balanced with woodiness and smoothed over by the distinctive Narciso musk. A sophisticated and nuanced offering, but surprisingly short-lived. 3-4 sprays on skin lasted just over an hour and was fully vanished in less than 4 hours. It's a big bottle, so I'll happily reapply to enjoy the scent all day. That's my only complaint. Beautiful fragrance. I must add a comment to agree with a previous reviewer who compared this to Ambre Nuit, with a more pronounced rose note. The scent was reminding me strongly of something I already owned but I couldn't place it until I read that suggestion....that is exactly it! Ambre Nuit, but a little stronger at the outset, certainly rosier, and sadly, not as long-lasting.

This a fantastic perfume for those who love intense, warm woody scents. I am an addict of rose ouds and have a great many in my collection. However this is different to my nose. It starts out with a sharp blast of spicy rose, but very soon, the rough edges are worn away in a tide of boozy woods and patchouli. The musc is there like a smooth satin polish to the wood, but for me, this is all about the spicy, boozy woods. The rose persists and adds the sweetness but even so, this is quite a dry perfume. It is very different to anything else I have smelled, but due to the booziness is most like some of my amber perfumes. I think is it unisex and as a woman I can’t wait to wear this, but guys can certainly claim it as their own too. Sillage big, longevity 10+ hours.

A glorious, heavily spiced, camphor-ous, woody, mature Rose! Somehow.. Appetizing but not gourmand in anyway. I can't exactly tell which spices, Saffron, Pepper, maybe a bit of Cardamom. The Camphor is coming from the wood, maybe Patchouli, could be Oud. I think it's Guaiac rather than Oud. It is very well blended that I can't pick up specific notes, except for the Rose and the Musk, but the Musk is not super prominent here as with other Narciso's. It has a distinct Oriental feel, but not heavy. Very unique! Extremely nice! I love it. Edit: Have been wearing for a couple of weeks now and I tell you this is BEAUTIFUL, the best Rose I came across so far, arrogant and strong but very well balanced with the spices and woods. I am a sucker for dark roses :)

A nice, posh (yet subtle) oriental scent. It resembles the same Narciso Rodriguez musky-fashion in the heart, but replaces the orange blossom with rose, and adds some oriental spices. The rose is not as emerging as I though it would be, but still it's so oriental and old-school. The spicy undertone is well-balanced. The saffron here is clear, yet this perfume remains one of the safest orientals to blind-buy by rose lovers. It's not loud, and it remains close to the skin for long. It holds a nice medicinal patchouli vibe but not as loud as it is in the "NR Intense" version. I found this perfume really comfortable to wear, and suitable for the office.

Narciso Rodrigues Rose Musc. The only one I don't have a conflictual relationship with. NR musk gives me a headache every time I try to use it, I don't know why. This, on the other hand, is love. A strong, spicy, mature, velvety rose in a bed of warm spices, cloves and cinnamon. There is a touch of NR characteristic musk but it is in the background, delicate, and creates a fluffy effect. The rose in the drydown fade to make way for woody notes, a slightly dusty patchouli and warm spicy notes of pepper and saffron. The final effect is incredible. Rose musc is a multi-faceted perfume, sensual, warm, velvety and skilfully blended.

a bit medicinal on me. thought it would be more flowery and summery. but nope. i will wait for the winter maybe the results will improve. Edit: since i had no success in selling this bottle i just kept using it. and i even got a compliment from one of my friends that she herself is now trying to find and buy one for herself. the only fault i find is that i think the perfume sillage does,not last long enough and becomes a skin scent after only 2-3 hours, which according to it's price is not justified or sufficient.

Beautiful warm spicy composition topped up with a refined rose and musk layered in the background. It resembles Dior Ambre Nuit but more feminine having a more distinct rose and persisent musk aura. I would add Amber as note, but I guess that feeling is given by the way they blended the spices in the heart and the radiant patchouli and woodsy nuances. Amazing stuff. As man I would love a woman wearing it. Top quality in honest opinion. Medium to heavy sillage (depending on sprays) and +8hrs longevity.

This one opens smelling like a very natural and lux version of Lady Vengeance without the harsh powdery syntheticness that Lady Vengeance has. It's funny that JHAG copies Narciso Rodriguez for her to make Lady Vengeance and then Narciso Rodriguez comes up with this. I guess combining a big rose note with Narciso Rodriguez signature musc will create this smelling profile. As the scent progress, it turns into the common Middle East rose oud DNA. Nice but nothing special.

با ایمانی که به برند نارسیسو رودریگویز دارم مطمئن خواهم بود این عطر از بهترینها در سبک خودش خواهد بود این چینش نت ها اگر صحیح باشد واقعا عالی خواهد بود و یک عطر رزی را باید چنین ساخت .منتها اگر مشک و زعفران برجستگی کمتری در این عطر داشته باشند , این یک کار بی نقص میشه زیرا نزدیکی بوی چوب به بوی روز باعث کمرنگتر شدن رز نمیشود ولی مشک و زعفران اگر به بویشان برجسته و زیاد باشد بوی رز را در خود حل میکنند و رز دارای ابهام و ناشفافیت در عطر میشود

Rose Musc by RN, does have similarities with Velvet Oud by Lattafa. If you love Velvet Oud but it is too strong for you, try Rose Musc by RN. I sprayed Rose musc on and thought straight of Velvet Oud, so I spray velvet our on my left hand to compare: smells the same but Rose Musc is lighter, so I use that to church instead. Amazing spicy patchouli rose! This is not a sweet rose. It's warm and spicy, not as musky as I expected, patchouli is very prominent. A sensual scent on a woman, but a man could wear this too! It does not smell like POAL to me.

I just think it's funny that it's called Rose Musc, because aren't all of his perfumes some combo of rose and musk?! How many rose and musk scents can one produce? I'd like to see something new from this designer.

A beautiful rose scent. Very Narciso Rodriguez of course! It is very strong, spray liberally. I sprayed on too much and felt sick. A little goes a long way. It's musky and rosy, which is great!

Rose Musc Intense have similarities with Velvet Oud by lattafa. ( the lighter version), to my nose. So if Velvet Oud is too strong for you, Please Rose Musc Intense by NR.

Cinnamon cloves & pepper rose... Spicy rose it is with sweet cinnamon, cloves, pepper, saffron, and sweetened with peony, & Turkish rose. Nice
