Happy Dust

This smells gorgeous but then seems to disappear entirely behind my skin but then wafts out regularly all around. I like the review about how it had much better sillage when it was sprayed from the full bottle, so if that is true, I then this would be so so nice to have a FB of! I love this kind of vanilla, its sweet without being foody gourmand. its warm and creamy and light yellow to pale yellow smelling with a hint of freshness. I really like this, and the fruit in it makes me think of Profumum Gioiosa which has coconut to make it fruity - this is similar I think to that one. My comparison to Gioiosa may be just an initial first impression, I don't know about how it'll be on the dry down. So far, I like this a lot! Edit** 3/31/25 - I tried this on one arm and Gioiosa on the other arm and they are VERY similar. There are some notable differences however but both are absolutely gorgeous. They are both very oily fragrances when applied to the skin. Happy Dust is only slightly less oily than Gioiosa, but I would consider them both oilier than other fragrances. I read this as high quality and they sure do smell high quality. Happy Dust is more floral than Gioiosa. It's cleaner and fresher, and a little bit fruity with the peach - its thinner, airier and lighter smelling, almost like a sweet vanilla freshie with florals. Its more transparent and there is a greenness - a very light pale green in with this fresh and bright almost citrusy vanilla. its going to be great for spring and summer! I went ahead and ordered a full bottle with a discount code because its not cheap. This is the most gorgeous fragrance and the most "me" that I have sampled in the last 6 months. Gioiosa is the same price basically, so its not a good cost saving dupe, but if you have either fragrance, you don't need both probably unless this is absolutely your favorite scent profile and then in that case they are definitely different. Gioiosa is creamier and slightly toasted. Happy Dust is fresher but still creamy. Both are 10/10 in my opinion.

I can see why people love this! It's light and sweet but not overly so. I struggle with mate/matcha scents usually since I dislike green and tea-like notes, but this one wasn't overly grassy like others I've tried. The mango gives it a little bit of a tang to bring you back from the sweetness. It's more 'perfumey' than most of my regular scents, which do lean a little more gourmand, but that does make it feel a little more classy. It's lasted well enough for me, particularly on my clothes. I generally love the scents that other people say are too light or non-performant. I wore this today for 10 hours and I'm still enjoying it wafting up from my blouse. Looking at the 'Reminds me of...' and seeing Mochi Milk was a surprise, since it's one of my favorites, but I can see what people are saying. They're definitely not the same scent, but they do share similarities in strength, sweetness level, and some other little bits to the DNA, like the powdery marshmallow vibe. Making the connection between the scents actually makes me appreciate it a little more. I don't see a similarity to FAW, either. I find it absolutely wild people are comparing this to Bianco Latte, however... this isn't even a strong vanilla to me, let alone a heavy lactonic, caramel vanilla. I think maybe Happy Dust is designed for very sensitive noses, because I can pick up all of the stated notes... I have enthusiastically added this to my shelf at a great sale price and even nabbed her cousin, Narco Oasis, at a steep discount.

Just to preface..I am among the very small minority of people who prioritize scent over performance. If one is beast and sharp but another is soft and well blended, the softer one is what I will buy. Fragrances are my aromatherapy. The scent has to be pleasing to my nose above all. I appreciate moderate projecting, inoffensive, pleasant scent bubble fragrances. I feel like there's a time and place for them. Happy dust is just that. Take the creamy vanilla vibe from Hufflepuff, the brown sugar from Vanilla 28, and the sweet marshmallow green tea from Princess...you have Happy Dust. Imo. Considering these 3 are among the top 10 in my collection, I absolutely love Happy Dust. This is an airy fluffy matcha vanilla scent to my nose. Would I like this to be stronger? Sure. Will I overspray and enjoy this beautiful fragrance anyway? Hell yes... with no shame. This one is NOT a strong performer, and that's perfectly fine with me. If that's what you want (understandable for this price and from this house) COMPLETELY skip this one, you'll be disappointed. **Update: Sprayed earlier on clothes and moisturized skin. 7 hours later I'm still getting whiffs when moving around. I have no issue smelling this fragrance. Several months into owning my bottle and longevity/ performance is absolutely fantastic.

The sheer ridiculousness of comparing this with the dank, dark, shrivelled-vanilla-pod-in-a-spice-cupboard of Tihota or the milky powder bomb that is bianco latte should disqualify you from posting on Fragrantica. Honestly. You are anosmic. Happy Dust, if anything, should be compared with other white vanilla gourmands like Choux Choux or Vanilla Haze (both a bit heavy tbh). That being said, it is totally different and infinitely superior. This is an ethereal, sparkling vanilla veil. It opens with a fresh juicy mango note which disappears fast. The spun sugar element takes over but is tempered with the fresh greenness of matcha to keep it from ever becoming cloying. It is simply fresh, sparkling, white vanilla perfection. Happiness in a bottle. Perfect for layering, perfect for wearing on its own. I just finished my 10ml sample after finishing a 2ml sample and bought myself a full bottle. This perfectly sewn silk slip of a fragrance will not appeal to lovers of heavy brocade and that’s fine.

This bears the closest resemblance to perfumes that list only vanilla and musk as notes, like Indult's Tihota. But this one's lighter and airier, not as sticky caramel sweet. After trying the hyped modern vanillas (Bianco Latte, Delizia Di Marshmallow and this), out of them I find this the most pleasant. There's genuinely nothing to dislike here! The lightly scorched woodiness of vanilla bean balanced with light touches of tropical fruitiness and floral muskiness. Acts like a halo of scent, very subtle on skin yet I smell wafts of it in the air. I wouldn't personally wear this as a guy due to it being quite "perfumey" in a feminine sense. Still smells very beautiful. Could very well be a best-selling designer scent with how mass-appealing and inoffensive this is.

This is such a stunning light vanilla perfume. When I first sprayed it, I was very meh about it, didn't get the hype. But the longer I let it sit, the more I became addicted to the smell and quickly became signature scent worthy. It is definitely a more subtle, light smell but I love it! The name is honestly so perfect. It really is happy dust. I know a lot of people complain about lasting power but when I spray this on clothes, it lasts a full day and some. The only thing I can't get behind is the price! I bought a 2ml sample from lucky scent and then got the 9ml version because I just couldn't justify spending 400+ CAD. I may look into getting one of the dupes one day. I also recently bought Mochi Milk by Dedcool and it smells like 80% similar.

I really do not fancy much vanilla note, nor sweet perfumes, but I must admit, this one is one of the best I put my nose on. I can't detect any fruit notes and to be honest most of my perfumes have them, nor any tea notes. Pure vanilla scent, but so happy, light I can compare it to that feeling when your baby kisses you. That moment when your heart melts. It's a bit too sweet for my taste, but I tend to go for unisex occasionally, so I like them a little more complex than this one. I am thinking to search for a bottle or smth like a travel size. Now I want to try all of the perfumes from this house. I am brain damaged. If only I can be a billionaire. With this kind of hobby I probably would never be. Ah?

Before getting a decant I was reading the comments here and I need to report back- ladies and gentlemen, whoever says this smells like Bianco Latte owns probably no vanillas at all. BL is not a vanilla perfume but cloying biscuits with milk. Happy Dust is totally different. It is an airy vanilla with a slight coconut and matcha undertones. It is a bit creamy but also green. Truly a veil. If anything it is closer to Fire at will but FAW lacks the green, tea quality. I have encountered such a blend only with Guerlain (I have all their popular vanillas). This one is just weaker in projection BUT I keep smelling it whenever I move which leads me to believe it actually projects a bit more than I think!

Oh my god. I'm obsessed. This definitely reminds me of several cozy vanilla perfumes like Bianco Latte and Profumum Roma Gioiosa. It's got the same classy ice cream shop vibes of Gioiosa that I love. The fruity, airy notes remind me a bit of Mochi Milk and it's got a similar vibe as Kilian Princess. This feels more refined and elegant than any of the others though. It feels like it has sort of subtle complexity in a similar way to Kilian Princess. The longevity is remarkably good, like lasting on my wrist for 24hrs+ good. I work in healthcare and need scents that are relatively inoffensive and not too strong and this seems to fit the bill. Is it worth around $300 for a full bottle? I'm not sure.

Oh, Happy Dust...you sure are beautiful. This is an immediate love. Signature scent worthy. It's not the most innovative fragrance but it's done so so right. It smells like delicious sugar dust on my skin. With a burst of matcha. It's really pretty... I kinda compare it to Bianco Latte...which I love but this is more toned down. Bianco is NOT something you can wear in every season; in summer it's suffocating. But Happy Dust is year round. I absolutely love this, but I wish it wasn't so expensive. It genuinely smells like sugary marshmallows, and transforms during usage. The tropical notes starts to peak through after the first hour.

This might just be THE vanilla for me. It’s incredibly well blended but the projection sucks though so I wouldn’t splurge on a full bottle. It’s nothing unique but very straightforwardly vanilla with a touch of the matcha. The mate and matcha notes make it much less indulgent and dark than other vanillas like Perestish’s Cozy Vanilla. The scent that got me into perfumes in the first place is the limited edition Frosted Bare Vanilla from VS-I used the entire bottle and couldn’t find anything remotely close to that soft creamy vanilla with a touch of cool mint but Happy Dust comes VERY close. If only this scent lasted longer :’)

Gorgeous fragrance. I don’t say vanilla because it is much more than just vanilla. All of the fruits and other ingredients are blended so well. Delicious on its own, but I actually layer it with many other fragrances that need a touch of sweetness. I get magic when I blend it with citrusy or matcha or apricot fragrances. This is a must try. I have many, many high end vanilla blends but this is up there in my top 3. Has to be worn on skin and experienced to judge, not on a test strip or clothes. Projection? Yes it does project within a few feet. I get compliments on this one.

I enjoy Happy Dust, when I first tried a sample it barely lasted. I did not detect any mango at all. I let the sample sit and retried. Gorgeous sweet vanilla with a matcha twist. Still no mango. I ordered a full bottle. I made the mistake of over spraying when It arrived and WOW too much. I have since learned one or two sprays of this goes along way. I use Happy Dust primarily during the day, or to layer other fragrances with. it stays on my clothes for days. I have received feedback that this fragrance stays in the room for hours after I leave. Many compliments on this one!

This is one of the most beautiful vanillas I’ve ever had my nose on. It smells like sugar cookies fresh from the oven and fairies and twinkle lights and happiness. This vanilla has a sparkly element to it, and is almost indescribable.. it’s so well blended that the notes are hard to distinguish. I do believe though, that the light touch of mango gives the vanilla a brightness. Otherwise, it’s simply delicious. A true sweet vanilla through and through. This is the vanilla of your dreams. Buy a sample, buy the whole bottle, just get your nose on it, it’s wonderful! 10/10

There’s a lot going on in the notes, but honestly I just get this warm, delectable, burnt vanilla sugar! It came off in the opening as a bit like cotton candy and maybe the fruits are lending that to it, but this dries sooo nice. Once it settles, it’s this warm, toasty, woody vanilla sugar treat. So cozy and delicious. Happy dust indeed!! I would not pay any attention to the mango because it’s really not there - it seems like more of a support note to elevate the fragrance. Overall a super beautiful gourmand that I am adding to my want list!! 10/10

The bad reviews almost made me miss out on this beauty! Definitely top 3 vanilla fragrances I have own. The longevity and projection of this fragrance is great, we just need to realize this is not an atombomb type fragrance! I got good 6 hours of wear out of it and even after I got random whiffs of the fragrance. But it projects and stays on the skin really really good. Also from start to finish I can smell all the notes, like I’m on a fragrance trip! I highly recommend! It’s definitely not the cheapest purchase but definitely worth it.❤️

I tried this with the new Luckyscent gourmand sample set...and this surprised me. First of all, thank you Luckyscent for switching to atomizers for sample 2ml bottles. To my nose, I immediately got Dedcool Mochi Milk. I hadn't heard the comparison before, but apparently several people agree with me. I've gone through two bottles of Mochi Milk, so it's easy to say that Happy Dust is going on my wish list! It's such a soft, romantic vanilla with that powdery mochi base. I'm hoping it lasts longer than Dedcool perfume though!

Absolutely gorgeous. Vanilla is perfectly balanced. I love the matcha notes. It smells so rich and lovely. You would have to be a god damn mosquito on my skin to smell this. And, I'm sorry, I am NOT spending $300 on a perfume that only I, my partner, and the amoebas living in my skin biome can smell. Edit: I am the clown. I am the fool. I am the villain in my own story... I couldn't stop spraying and loving and thinking about this perfume from the sample I got... so I caved and bought the full size. I fucking hate myself.

Happy Dust may be the most addictive scent I've ever smelled. Not in the heavy, intense kind of way but in the enchanting, comforting kind of way. I disagree that it's a basic vanilla fragrance. There is something magical about the combo of notes that I'm not skilled enough to explain. To me, it's reminiscent of Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel but has the depth and complexity of a perfume vs a body mist. This is the scent I spritz on my pajamas before I go to bed so I can drift off to sleep on warm vanilla clouds.

First off, this is EDT level performance and that is the only negative thing I can say about it. Otherwise, this is my favorite Narcotica by a mile. Sweet vanilla, matcha and musks with a tad of the coconut water and tonka. Absolutely beautiful scent, but the performance is lacking. I may end up getting a full bottle after my sample runs out because this is a very unique scent despite the longevity issues. Very enjoyable. 8/10 scent with a 4/10 performance. After more than a year of using this I will give my second review. It's still amazing. It's a super different vanilla thanks to the mango. I have so many vanillas and this one eclipses a lot my other perfumes in a good way. It stands out, it's special, it's not common or similar. It's beautifully blended, airy, pretty. Makes you want to actually eat mango with vanilla some culinary vanilla essence to see if it will taste like this perfume smells.

This is a very comforting and classic vanilla, but below the surface there are really beautiful nuances that make this perfume an absolute favorite for me. There is a really beautiful, subtle green tea note paired with a indistinguishable tropical watery quality, and warm brown sugar to round it all off. Unfortunately the beautiful tropical and green notes that bring this perfume to life do vanish fairly quickly, but I personally don't mind that.

This is a lovely vanilla. However, it is about 90% similar to Bianco Latte to my nose. Wearing them side by side currently. Happy Dust has a little bit more of that bright fruity vanilla DNA you get from Vanilla Woods/Cheirosa 40 which is really nice, whereas BL is fluffier and performs better. Performance of BL is so much better and they’re so similar I just wouldn’t buy happy dust if you already have BL.. especially for this price!

I got a sample of this and this is still my favorite vanilla (with bianco latte at 2nd, yes I know I’m basic) fragrance. the other notes (especially the tea and mango) compliment the bright, beautiful vanilla so well she’s just beautiful. i wish she lasted longer and had more projection :( I’m debating on trying to dupe from Andromeda’s Moon since it’s 1/2 the price since I’ve heard it’s the same but stronger and longer lasting

i think the matcha note does something really beautiful to this fragrance. it’s a fresh, slightly earthy vanilla - i’ve honestly never smelled anything like it. i don’t distinctly smell the mango, but i suspect that’s where i get a tinge of freshness from this. this leans more into a comfort scent for me. interestingly enough, i paired it with Gigglepuff, the dupe for Hufflepuff by HOS, and it really works well together.

I love the original Happy Dust and have purchased many large samples of it from scent split to keep stocked but can't justify a full bottle. Recently, I ordered Athena Club's body spray Golden Vanilla. I was surprised that IT SMELLS SO SIMILAR. More cozy and soft than Happy Dust but NOT weak by any means. The DNA is there for sure, but for $16 dollars?? It's worth trying and you can tell me if I'm wrong.

This is the vanilla I have been looking for. Smooth, creamy, no heavy woodiness or spice in the background, no screechy powdery musk. Just true, sweet linear vanilla with a hint of matcha and a whisper of mango. I sampled a decant and immediately ordered a full bottle. I haven’t stopped wearing it since. It layers beautifully with other gourmands and fruity fragrances. I plan to buy a back up bottle.

I'm disgusted by how much I love this. I got a tester on Mercari for a better deal than retail but fr why does it cost that much?? I really don't care about projection or longevity. Yes this is a wisp of a fragrance but that is part of its appeal to me. Just a cloud of vanilla brown sugar matcha pixie dust. That said, I actually found I could smell it on my hand for 8+ hours while at home.

Crushed velvet vanilla, earthy green tea, and syrupy mango. Three of my favourite things. This scent is so incredibly addictive I couldn’t stop smelling it the for a week the first time I got it. EDIT!!!! about a month after i received this decant it started to make me nauseous. the lactones and vanillin are all i can smell. sickly sweet. definitely addictive, but quick to overdose.

This is a season less, musky skin scent vanilla. Loooove it! I like to get decants since it's pretty pricey but it really is a complex gourmand. There are complexities to gourmands! ;) its on the same level as maison mataha escapade gourmande- I dont know that you'd need both. Happy dust is fruitier and sweet but not toooooo sweet. The musk/ambroxan? does last several hours!

This fragrance is the one that made me fall in love with perfumery. It’s the most perfect and addicting combination of sweet, warm, cozy and edible. It’s not sickening sweet, the matcha note saves the day and makes it a perfect blend with the vanilla and brown sugar. Sure the projection is low but I smell it on myself all day long and it makes me so happy.

A light, fluffy straight up vanilla scent. I don’t get much of any of the other notes to be honest. Maybe a little bit of the brown sugar but not much. Very versatile and works well in all weather day or night! Perfect if you don’t like super heavy gourmands or a spicy vanilla. Not much depth or crazy projection but that’s what I like about it.

Beautiful and airy vanilla with a fruity nuance, which makes it wearable even in hot weather. I can’t do the creamy and richly sweet vanillas, but this is gorgeous, I layered this the Les Nuits d’Izu the other night, and the combo rocked, creating a citrusy vanilla aroma that was fresh and not sweet. Give it a whirl. Lots of compliments.

I have owed happy dust for over a year and half and it does last longer the longer you have it, I get 6-7 hours wear time on skin with this beautiful creation and on clothes I can smell it the next day this is without layering. This is gorgeous. This is my absolute favorite fragrance. I have a decant of the OG and about 4-5 dupes of it. It’s sweet, fluffy vanilla with matcha and the slightest hint of woodiness to make the matcha realistic. Truly great year-round, for any occasion. My signature scent. I cannot say enough good things about it

I don’t care if I’m basic this is the greatest perfume I’ve ever smelled. It’s so soft so inviting so sweet and beautiful without being overwhelming. Of course she is a vanilla girl, but I’m getting a lot of marshmallow vibes from her. If I was a beautiful pixie fairy, this is what I would smell like!

This is the best vanilla perfume I own! It’s delicate soft and invoking emotions at the same time. A people’s pleaser and best layering perfume in my collection. I will never not own a bottle!!! P.s 9months of this juice Maturing it performs better, I get 8 hours on skin with 6 hours of projection.

I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love so fast with a perfume. I smelled it today for the first time and was intoxicated by the sprinkling of airy vanilla pixie dust. I can’t stop smelling my arm, it’s so addicting. This immediately became a top 10 for me, I’m blown away. 10/10 perfection!!

I really do love this scent. But people aren't exaggerating when they say it doesn't last. $300 for a bottle of this is insane for the few hrs you get to enjoy the smell. I'll just stick to the Athena Club Golden Vanilla body mist considering it lasts the same amount of time pretty much.

I am pretty picky when it comes to vanilla, but this 😍!! I absolutely love it. It’s light enough to wear daily but it’s also a little sexy. This is not an overly synthetic vanilla, which is absolutely great since i find most popular vanillas on the market to be pretty synthetic.

Happy dust really does smell bright and happy, like a fairy theme-park. I actually get quite a lot of mango in this. Not fresh mango but dried mango. The vanilla is sweet and comforting. The price is way too much for me to ever spend on an unnecessary item but I do love this.

To me, this is exactly how the name describes - it literally smells like Disney on Ice or any indoor circus you've ever been to. It's verrrry light and for that, I unfortunately won't be keeping, but it's very nostalgic smelling and certainly evokes some very happy memories.

It makes me so mad that this is the only true tropical fruit and brown sugar fragrance I’ve ever found. The mango fades after about 2-3 hours but while it’s there it’s the best combo I’ve ever owned. Even after it’s gone the sweet vanilla that’s left is better than most.

Words can't describe how much I love this fragrance. The brown sugar is so ethereal. It's sweet but not cloying. It's my signature scent and I will buy a back up bottle soon. It's delicious and not over powering. The lil hint of musk makes it sexy. It's intoxicating.

This is perfection for a women's vanilla perfume. Intoxicating, sensual, and exquisite. My favorite vanilla ever. No mango or matcha detected. It's an airy vanilla, with hints of brown sugar and caramel. I've never smelled anything like it, and it has no equal.

I absolutely adore this fragrance. It is a sweet musk and it’s so addictive. I wish I could take all of the notes and amp them up about five more notches. Even though this fragrance does not perform the way I wish it would, I’d still repurchase.

This is a gorgeous, marshmallow, vanilla HAPPY scent! But for the price- NOPE! It’s too linear. If you can get your hands on What The Fluff, get it!! It’s incredibly similar and, with some maceration, lasts way longer, and smells even better!!!

On me this is 100% Vanilla Planifolia extrait by Guerlain, but with weaker sillage. This is smoother, not so loud but the fragrance itself is almost identical. Honestly I prefer this over VP. Im glad I found this it's a very beautiful vanilla.
