Maniac

Lovely. Creamy toasted smooth strawberries. There is a "custard" coziness to this. Not nearly as sweet as Love Me Latte, the coconut, vanilla and musk are gentle and support one another beautifully. I think its a combination of the ambrette, ambroxan and ambergris that give this a soft incense quality. The dry down smells of strawberry incense. Love it. Its not overpowering, yet still projects nicely without shouting. Longevity is stellar too. Im in agreement with others. Top notes are fleeting. I get the mint in the opening but its only a bleep and then its gone. Don't really get the citrus notes at all. I think its probably one of the best "strawberry" scents I've ever put my nose on. I don't find this juvenile at all. Very grown up and sexy berry scent thats not overly sweet. Blind buy success for me.

I tried this parfume at a retailer, could still smell it strongly after 12 hours on skin, om clothes the smell sat for 3 weeks strong When i tested it my buddy met me outside the apartment and he could smell me from 10 feet Smells very sweet, i could imagine myself using this, but my girl thinks it smells like little green tree with strawberry smell

This is a juicy, fruit stripe gum, strawberry, citrus bomb and I must have more! Reminds me of being at the pool as a kid and having an Astro pop. A bit of a sour candy note in here as well. With a sparkling lemon base. It is not quiet and it is not a safe blond but but Holy Ghost I love this. It’s a lot of personality though and wears loud.

Very nice. Mostly get the raspberry, strawberry, sugar musk. Sweet but not overly so. Sometimes gives off a shampoo vibe. Don't detect any mint, clementine, or lemon. Also smells like a higher quality niche version of B&BW Velvet Sugar (minus the florals).

The decant for this had spilled slightly in the package (only slightly, still intact) I had received it in and as soon as I had opened it I was met with the smell of strawberry syrup. On skin, this reads as less strawberry and more of a medley of sugared fruits. As time goes on, the citrus starts to become a little more pronounced but at the same time becomes airier which I do appreciate since I cannot stand citrus scents for the most part. Overall, this is a strawberry dominant fragrance but a potent, ripe sugared strawberry in the strawberry doll head realm. This is lively, flirty and bright like a gorgeous woman dancing in red in the summer. An obvious powerhouse, I am really pleased with how well-blended this is. The strawberry is perfect and ripe with the clementine, raspberry and green apple complimenting it. There is no sharp tart quality which I find most of the time in these fruits. It's sweet, fruity, not tart and not at all coconut heavy like most summer fragrances I come across? Oh my god, sign me up! I will continue testing this but this may become high on my summer fragrance potentials. This may be the only strawberry fragrance I've sampled that I actually really love!

This is my third fragrance I had tested today. The most intense for sure! Perhaps the most artificial? I can't say for sure, but going from a 100% natural fragrance line to this is quite a shock. I really don't know what to say. Lol. Yes it does remind me of the mid 90s Bath & body Works etc. And I enjoy that sometimes. I don't know if I want to wear it 24 seven, but I do like the nostalgia of it. This is very strawberry and very sweet. There are of course other things going on, and to be honest, this is one of the better ones I have smelled in this particular genre. Call this neon orange and pink. Lisa Frank. Strawberry shortcake cartoon. Adult version! I do really like that it's an extract. I do like this house, they do excellent work, and I think, although I never wear fragrances like this, I don't mind it here! So go for it. Screw it. Have some fun sometimes. This fragrance is definitely fun. There's no way you can wear this unless you are already having a good time. I am unfortunately rarely doing fun things or having fun in my mind. But if I were to! This would be the fragrance I would reach. Lol

Does any one remember the lipgloss from the 00s with the fruit sticker on the top of the screw-on cap, plastic ball roll-on applicator, and the glossy-oily texture of the liquid? Narcotica Maniac smells like the balmy ambergris version of the sweet strawberry-scented lipgloss, which was never natural smelling. The scent sticks on the skin 6+ hours and honestly two sprays is enough for what the scent is. It projects well, but you can go to town if you want to be wrapped in girly 00s nostalgia. Dries down calm 3 hours in with warm brown sugar added to the strawberry gloss.

This is very nice but reminds me of other scents I own (Sacred Bond and Nassau) I’ll need to go though my collection and compare this to my other scents, before I decide whether it’s worth buying From Maniac I get a powdery, creamy, musky raspberry/strawberry, coconut and vanilla scent. It almost resembles a strawberry cheese cake for me. It’s a very good scent and longevity is impressive for Narcotica, The more I smell it the more I am really liking it.

I’m a juvenile strawberry lover

At the beginning there were alot of notes coming at you at once, - fruits , coconut, mint , sugar, which came off as reminiscent of artificial fruit spray ( mostly strawberry) - fruit loop vibes - but dried down to a sweet, fruity ( I got mostly strawberry/rasberry) sugary coconut with some musk and sandlewood. Feminine. This is a very youthful fragrance, I think best for teens/20's . I thought the dry down was pretty and well blended, but still , high price point for fruit loop vibes.

Bright fresh strawberry at the top, then I’m not really sure what happens. But on my skin, it gets stronger and sweeter and much more synthetic. If that fresh strawberry would’ve stayed this would’ve been a banger. Something terrible happens in the mid and dry down and it turns it into like maybe a little girls first perfume or something. Not a safe line buy sample first.

A lovely fruity bomb. The listed notes are all present and accounted for. The musk on the dry down drowns out the rest of the delightful top and heart notes, but not a bad perfume. For me, likely not wearable.

Be careful. This fragrance was bombed with fake bot ratings all on the same day - pushing up the enormous sillage, eternal longevity, unisex and value ratings. I like this perfume but it should be £30-£50 very artificial fruity, cheap smelling fragrance that is very linear and moderate/light in projection. Strawberry is rarely done right in perfumery and this is no different - very synthetic. Anyone in the UK - this reminds me exactly of Impulse sprays! I’m hoping it transforms with maceration. Ok so update - I wore this again for the first time in ages, I received three people telling me at work that my perfume smelled bad. I nearly fell off my chair. No idea what note puts proper off this - but people hate it in the air .

This reminds me of what a teenager would buy as their first fragrance from Claire’s Accessories. Super synthetic, artificial strawberry scent. Not offensive but smells like a cheap body spray. However, I found it long lasting and had strong projection (sprayed on skin and clothing). Later in the day I added Flora Danica - Turn the Page on top and it created something much more palatable. The green notes in that seemed to tone down the chemical fruit explosion of Maniac. I will finish the sample using it as a layering scent but not full bottle worthy for me. Would rather buy a cheap strawberry body spray from TK Maxx which would do the same job.

Dusted this off and wore it again for the first time in months - what a disaster. This is the first fragrance which has resulted in MULTIPLE reactions of disgust from my colleagues. Never in my life have I had people specifically tell me directly that my fragrance was bad - but multiple of them too! I’m not sure what about this puts people off so much, sure I struggle with how synthetic it is but something here really turns off people. de-cluttering immediately!

I’m always eager to try new Narcotica fragrances. But this one was a disappointment. To my nose this smells like some children’s fruity candy. Gummy bears? Or maybe that powder that comes in those straws? Either way, it’s not something I want to smell like. Extremely synthetic. Hard pass.

I cannot imagine this even as a house fragrance. So long lasting that it is unbearably gummy bear-like annoying sweetness. This is NOT a grown up smell, even if you have a collection of teddies on your bed.

This was a real disappointment for me. It smells like cheap, like a apple-scented hairspray, extremely synthetic. Such a shame as I had high expectations for this

Opening is a very juicy raspberry shower gel smell- a la 90's The Body Shop, and I think when natural ingredients were readily available for bath and body products. Maniac becomes more strawberry as it dries down like Strawberry Shortcake figurines, which had a realistic strawberry extract smell blended with the dollshead vanilla. Maniac is rounded out by a textured, realistically cakey vanilla with a touch of woods and booze. To my nose, Maniac is a much less synthetic take on this genre. And the same could be said about Dulce Diablo. I'm excited to try more from this house, despite not being a gourmand lover. Hey Narcotica, how about a smaller size or sample collection for purchase?☺️

Let me start off by saying that I've been extremely impressed with the offerings from this house. Let me also say that as a heterosexual male in his late 40's I have no problem wearing many fragrances that are labeled as more "feminine". With these 2 things being said I don't see how I could pull this one off. It's exactly what its supposed to be & I completely appreciate this for what it is but find it hard to imagine that most males, especially older males would consider adding this into their rotation.
