Fantomas

I first smelled Fantomas at Scent Bar in NYC and the first experience of it was very intriguing to me. I smelled it with an open mind and little expectations, as I've learned to do to avoid disappointment and I have to say I wasn't nearly as disappointed as some seem to be. In fact I was quite impressed. Fantomas is a warm fragrance that gets fresher as it wears. Over the years, I've grown to appreciate fresh perfumes a lot more. I always preferred darker, warmer scents and I may still be consistent because Fantomas is essentially a dark fresh scent. I typically find freshies to be boring, chemical concoctions. It's hard to find a fresh scent that is unique, interesting, wearable and impressive. Every now and then I smell a fresh fragrance that challenges my assumptions of fresh perfumes and Fantomas did just that. It doesn't rely on the expected fresh fragrance blueprints. There's no use of citrus, it doesn't smell aquatic and it uses notes that come across heavier than what you normally find in fresher perfumes. Fantomas is very synthetic but Imo it's an amazing example of synthetic perfumery done well. When I smell Fantomas a strong picture of an object enters my mind. The scent reminds me of a silver revolver handgun. This perfume could've easily been called Chrome...if that perfume name wasn't already used. It's very metallic in the beginning with a blast of berry full fruit, melon and a rubber note that almost makes me visualize a hard rubber grip or the handle of a revolver. I was very shocked when some people smelled it and picked up a milkiness from it. I can almost perceive what they are talking about but for me there is an earthy, soil like scent as well as a smokiness that is very noticeable giving off the vibe of gun powder. If you are bored with a lot of fragrances on the market, get your nose on Fantomas asap. It's extremely powerful on cloth with insane sillage. If you spray it on your hand and it gets on the sleeve of a jacket or coat, the scent will remain there for days. If you put that jacket on days later, the scent will still be transferable to your hand. I could literally walk by my jacket 7 days later and smell the perfume that was only present on the ends of my sleeve. Just wow. How I knew I liked it...Every time I walked by my jacket, I felt compelled to grab the end of the sleeve and take a whiff. It reminds me a little of Night Flyer by Olympic Orchids which is the rerelease of the original Bat by Zoologist but I have to admit I prefer Fantomas because it's more versatile and easier to wear in more situations. Some people will perceive Fantomas as a fresh take on Black Afgano and I can appreciate that interpretation. To me Fantomas is a lot more than that and from my limited experience, it may appeal to more people generally speaking. Though Its a strong scent, Fantomas could conceivably be worn all year although I would only wear it on cooler summer evenings. i could wear it dressed up or down and it doesn't follow any perfume trend at all, allowing it to be a very timeless scent one could easily wear 20 years from today without dating themselves. It will not smell dated in most of our lifetimes. The smell of it is very captivating to me and while it's not the standard Nasamatto, it fits the brand aesthetic and style and broadens the options the brand offers. This is no sell out, money grab option from the brand. Its a very thoughtful, well conceived perfume with a lot of dimension and character. When I think of Nasamatto, I think danger in a bottle and this newest effort which makes me visualize a firearm, is in keeping with that. This brand's scents represent something negative, made positive in the form of an awesome scent. Many people won't get it, but many will be intrigued by it. I love that many people here doesn't like it or even hates it because I don't prefer popular niche scents in my collection anyway. If you like to smell interesting, not just nice that may appeal to you. If I had to rank this scent in my P.A.G.E. Rating system, I would rate this a G+ scent for 'very good' and it's close to an E status for me or Exceptional. At first, this fragrance confused me, finding it... uncanny, off-putting in a way I couldn't describe. But, the more times I smelled it, the more the nostalgia hit me. It reminded me of the old computer/printer repair shop my father had worked at when I was young. It's like... an overheating computer trying to generate the idea of a fruit, though... it's shockingly enjoyable and wearable. It has since turned into my favorite, the thing I unconsciously compare all other fragrances to, my signature fragrance. Definitely a fruity, smoky, plasticky, and ozonic DNA. It does have a bit of an earthy aspect in the base that I do sense, though. It slightly morphs every time I smell it, which is coming from someone about to be on their second bottle of this. Everyone I've had smell this had a wildly different reaction and interpretation. Which is true to what they were going for, ever-shifting, difficult to place, disguised; just as Fantomas as a character. Weirdly enough, it reminds me of how I'd imagine Max Headroom as concept would smell if you crawled into the screen. I'll paint the scene. 1986, a humid summer night after an especially miserable hot day. You're the only one working the night shift at a computer repair shop: overheating CRTs and their beige plastic shells- the weirdly sweet caramel adjacent scent of warmed adhesives on tech, buzzing warm fluorescent lighting above, and a stick of patchouli incense you had lit earlier still very much lingering in the air. Your stomach rumbles, causing you to pull out some leftover fruit snacks that had melted into a singular sad clump due to being left in your drawer all throughout the summer day along with your various repair tools and junk. You sigh, taking a bite of the multicolored amalgamation before standing up from your desk and going outside. The humid air sticks to your skin, and immediately you're able to sense the brewing storm approaching in the near distance, hair standing on end. You lean back against the windows, head right next to the glowing neon open sign; the static buzzing next to your face. You look out to the rubber asphalt parking lot that's still retaining heat from the long day- seeing half a melon after being discarded in the sun for god knows how many hours.. not rotting, but succumbing into the rubber. You take a deep breath, a flash of lightning striking in the near distance.

It’s a Smokey fruit smell at times, then other times barely sweet and bloody. At first it smell like gunpowder and a rotten melon or fruit. Actually it can smell like that all the time. It’s so bad but then so ok to good to interesting great. My friends brother liked it. My friend said it gave him ptsd from his car crash. At first my friends dad didn’t like it then he did. Don’t think I can ever wear this. I don’t regret this purchase but for money I spent it’s hard not to feel a little regretful. It leaves this unsettling vibe even when you’re not smelling it. If you want a unique experience here you go. It’s horrible but then good. Ok it transformed rapidly It’s now a milky Carmel sent with hits of burt rubber and plastic but not in a bad way at all. But it’s really faint. This might be a gourmand believe it or not. Take plastic fruits cover it in chrome and caramel and then pour some milk on it. Then spribkle gunpowder. Or if you just mixed Carmel and milk and though it on a chrome wall. Honestly I’ll be back to tell you my experience. In the dry down it’s definitely more wearable. I can see it getting compliments Mabye. But to be safe if I ever wear it it’ll be a colder spring day and I’ll be leaving my house once it enters the mid to dry down. Became fresher too and less sweet. I can now see why people would say the summer is suitable. Sweet and fresh ish. I’m definitely a little nose blind, but regardless of that it’s now a sweet milk to me. Still everything else I said before ofc but sweet milk stands out to me the most. It’s a wearable sweet milk tho. But if I focus on a more candy scent I get that too. I actually love the unique scent this gives. My base rating is a 7/10 but I just got it so officially??? Imma try to wear it out but this stuff is very unsettling and even makes me nauseous at times. So I’ll have to get used to it. But saying that is crazy because the people I said smell it said it was relaxing almost Wore it to church with no complaints but only 2 sprays. Made my mom smell me and she said it’s good. Just a musky scent to her ???/10

The masks no longer seem playful but ominous, and in this atmosphere of uncertainty, doubt reigns. Anything can happen from this moment forward. This is the essence of Fantomas by Nasomatto—enigmatic, dark, and provocatively complex. The fragrance opens with a sweet, fruity brightness, reminiscent of the melon at the buffet, but this is quickly shadowed by smoky, leathery accords that hint at something sinister. Notes of resin and sharp metallics cut through, evoking the disquieting blend of elegance and unease. As it dries down, the scent lingers like a mystery unsolved—smooth yet unsettling, sweet yet dangerous. Fantomas is not a fragrance for the faint-hearted; it’s for those who embrace intrigue and thrive in the unknown, leaving a trail of both allure and unease in their wake.

Okay... Meet the Robinsons holds a dear place in my heart so I’ll try to make a review to show my respects. This perfume reminds me of Lewis from the movie. Him making the memory scanner thing to get a glimpse of his mother, how she looked like and whether she loved him or not. This is what I imagine Lewis's room smells like. Him staying up creating machines with his intellect, creating time machines. And after succeeding, and in the end when he could’ve changed the future, seeing his mother barefoot and in the street who left him next to the orphanage door due to her situation and struggle, then he decided to respect his mother’s wish and leave his little self next to the orphanage and ring the doorbell by himself, his future self. And being happy. And he said he wouldn’t change the past even though it was hard for him, because he saw his future self with people and a family that love him. To me, this perfume smells beautifully unpleasant. But to me this smells like Lewis’s story. Him tinkering with machines all night all day, then becoming successful with a family and people that love him. What a beautiful inspirational smell. A smell that reminds me of that scene when Lewis failed and them telling "You failed! And it was awesome! Exceptional! Outstanding! From failing you learn, from success, not so much...". Shout out to Mildred for taking care of Lewis and being a good caretaker of him almost as a mother. And of course little Goob that cute little ball. Fantamos. Meet the Robinsons. Forever.

It's a very fascinating fragrance. Performance: this stuff is by far the strongest thing I've ever encountered and it isn't close. 24+ hours of projection 8+ of which is room filling. A buddy of mine sometimes wore it, doing less than one spray on his skin. The shirt he would wear would project Fantomas after weeks and multiple washes. I own a bottle but have yet to wear it because its so strong. Scent: very polarizing and interesting but amazing nonetheless. It has a burnt plastic with sweet melon and its not synthetic in the traditional sense. It smells synthetic in the sense that it has this oily, amplified plastic note that is very prominent. The smokiness isn't very noticeable but it's definitely there. It almost smells like what you'd imagine electricity to smell like. My best way to describe it would be like an electrical fire if it was sweet. Its extremely smooth and not harsh whatsoever and is top-notch quality. Truly among the best fragrances I've ever smelt. Wearability: This is very subjective but I'd say you can get away with it any time of year. It'll work any time of day but is definitely better in the evening and nighttime. Its bold and stands out so its more so something that you would wear only a handful of times throughout the span of a year. Summary: It's absolutely wild but is certainly among the best creations I've ever tried in perfumery.

I'll never stop being fascinated with how individual chemistry affects fragrance perception. That a note can be listed as prominent in the creation by the creator (in this case plastic) and be nearly absent in the presentation on the wearer. I get zero plastic from this. None. Which isn't a complaint. I am head-over-heels in love with this perfume, and it was FBW after the first day of testing. To me, it smells of raw silk, first and foremost. And this impression lasts the entire duration of its wear time. For anyone unfamiliar with the smell of raw silk, it is dry, warm, earthy, and sweet but not cloying. Keeping things from getting too organic is the sharp, tangy gunpowder accord, which keeps showing up and acts like a palate-cleanser, allowing you to keep smelling the more complex elements in this fragrance that people can grow anosmic to over time. It's like a built-in reset button, which is really cool and is a massive win for Gualtieri in structuring it this way. Since acquiring this fragrance I've been complimented excessively by strangers and lovers alike. Everyone loves it. It is flawless, addictive and gorgeous and endlessly satisfying.

I’m not going to lie, I’m starting to regret selling my bottle. It feels like an artistic experiment in sweetness, something futuristic and slightly broken. It smells like a computer that’s overheating, the plastic beginning to melt, and somewhere underneath that chaos, a soft trace of melon trying to break through. There’s a slightly creamy undertone hiding beneath the synthetic warmth, almost like the smoothness of melted caramel blending into the plastic. The plastic completely overtakes the fruit, creating this strange but addictive mix of sweet melting plastic and faint fruit. It’s both fascinating and unsettling in the best way. Ganymede is what we'd like to imagine aliens smell like, but Fantomas is what they actually smell like. The performance is excellent and the whole experience, from the mirrored cap to the dry down, feels like wearable modern art. It has a weird beauty that keeps pulling me back. I still have a small sample left, but I have a feeling I’ll be getting a full bottle again and keeping it for good this time.

This is my second fragrance from Gaultieri, Fantomas is slightly akin to a more melon-y, earthy bergamask. I get none of the plastic or rubber others have smelt bar from a faint latex smell. The initial spray on my hand reminds me of, specifically, a Lost Mary Triple Melon vape, it’s an in your face melon with an indescribable sweetness afterwards. The earthiness follows suit, bringing a light musky smell to creep from below the sweetness. Fantomas is what its flavour text says. It truly feels as if it is an act of transgression, the smell itself feels as its a statement, to pierce through the nose and leave a feeling of near discomfort and mystery to others who smell it, although not an unpleasant smell at all it certainly leaves an impression, good or bad, in both the wearer and people who have smelled it. its the perfect culmination of weird and wearable, though very occasionally. 8/10

I do so look forward to wearing this unique scent on the first days of spring when the weather rapidly warms and your body hasn’t quite adjusted from cooler to warmer weather. I live in a true 4 season area with erratic temperatures. I find the scent most fitting when I am on the border of breaking a sweat, on overcast days which sunshine barely peeks out from behind the clouds. I also spray this fairly heavy on skin and clothes, 4-5 sprays to create my own scent cloud. I also find I reapply after 3-4 hours which I am fine with. I will purchase another bottle when I run out. This is not a fragrance I could wear day after day though. As for the scent itself, I do not know what is going on, nor do I try too hard, but it works. Sweet industrial antiseptic-ish vinyl with strong brand DNA and intrigue indeed!

An extraordinary fragrance. At first, I intensely smell melon/watermelon, but in a synthetic way—something like melon or watermelon-flavored gummy candies. Shortly after application, the scent takes on strong latex-plastic-rubbery qualities. There's a distinct aroma reminiscent of burning plastic or rubber, which lingers throughout, with a hint of sweet melon. A very intriguing fragrance—I tested it in winter and am eager to compare it in the summer season, where I believe it will truly shine. Definitely not for everyone; it’s a highly unique scent that some may find slightly off-putting due to its "latex-like" character. As expected from Nasomatto, the longevity is incredibly strong, as is the projection. On the plus side, the bottle as well—I think the chrome cap fits this fragrance perfectly.

Fantomas is a unique fragrance because most other fragrances try to imitate smells of real life, be it flowers, fruits, wood, leather, musk, etc. This one, however, was designed to smell artificial. There's absolutely nothing real about it. It reminds me of a smell of a working laser jet printer with its hot plastic and melting chemical ink and a melon-scented vape. Longevity and sillage are nuclear, one single spray made my whole apartment smell of Fantomas for days. Definitely not a fragrance for an office job (please respect others) and definitely not a fragrance for hot summer days (it'll choke you). It's very wearable for a right occasion (fun nights out or just walking around the city in late fall). Probable one of my all-time favorites

So after reading the comments I was looking forward to get this futuristic, plasticky synthetic melon perfume. However, my skin chemistry makes this perfume perform slightly different than what's mostly written by other people. It starts really strong, and I get that synthetic feeling, but it mellows down very quickly into this pleasant sweet skin musk smell - getting sadonaso vibes, but mellowed down to the point that it's wearable in the office. When I first tested it on my arm, I could still smell it next morning. Doesn't have super strong projection, but it does fill confined spaces such as elevator the moment you step in. All in all super happy with this perfume, just wish my skin chemistry would play a bit more on that synthetic aspect.

It’s so fucking amazing, words can’t describe it. Just imagine you’re in the woods at a campfire at night with all your friends, telling bullshit ghost stories... and then out of nowhere a UFO shows up and aliens abduct you while you go take a piss. It smells like the inside of that spaceship with alien in it, and yes there is this smokey campfire notes to it which i love. I sprayed Purpose 50 and Fantomas on my hands and forgot which one was which. The whole day I was like, “Purpose 50 is so fucking amazing.” Then I realized I was smelling Fantomas the whole time. Holy shit, Fantomas is so fucking beautiful. I wish it came in a bigger size. It's the next day after a shower and i can still smell this beauty. TOP 5 for me.

I wore this when I went to go see Lady Gaga for her Chromatica Ball stadium tour this past August. Wow what a statement piece! I wanted to wear something that smelled brutalist...and man did this fit the bill. Stylish, edgy, yet elegant! I was getting compliments left and right as I was in the pit surrounded by other hot bodies and pounding house music, this perfectly fits a darker rave aesthetic. It smells like melons in front of a fog machine while at a music festival walking on wet soil. Longevity is fantastic and projection is definitely very noticeable, especially in the heat. I’m so glad I chose to wear this to such a life changing musical event as every time I smell this it immediately takes me back to Chromatica!

I love this extract! The first impression is extremely fruity, a little refreshing combined with a heavy and futuristic rubber vibe. In a drydown, the fragrance evokes a surprisingly powdery and sophisticated effect. In my opinion, a more masculine fragrance. During the evaporation itself, there is lactonic caramel and a hint of hazelnut. A wonderful creation that evolves like an unexpected aura around you. No one can identify the notes in this fragrance, which is extremely attractive to the surroundings and adds to the mystical character of the wearer. I would recommend this purchase (not a blind buy) to anyone who dares to show their creative and unusual side. 10/10, a very unconventional signature.

Fantomas by Nasomatto is an experimental fragrance that defies all conventions—sterile, futuristic, and almost clinically clean. Its metallic facade gives it a cold, synthetic character, accentuated by hints of rubber and plastic. At the same time, a touch of melon sweetness seeps through, softening the otherwise contemporary composition. Smelling it, I picture a spaceship—cold, sterile, filled with unknown technology. Yet, another unexpected association emerges—a latex condom, perfectly smooth, synthetic, like the scent of something freshly unwrapped. The olfactory landscape is completed by a peculiar shade of green—reminiscent of hospital walls or the signature Prada store green.

The way most fragrances start chemically and settle into natural scents, this one does the opposite. It's also kind of doing two things at once, on one hand it's fruity, clean, and fresh, and yet it's also so otherworldly and synthetic. Wearable, edgy, loud, and strong. Edit: Finally bought a bottle. On my skin, the sweet melon is gone, less of the disinfectant smell too, it's all smoke and metal. I love it even more.

People talk about overall ratings for this fragrance but didn't see over all voting and counts of vote ,this fragrance is definitely unique and its not for everybody but definitely mass appeal fragrance, the plastic note People talk about is just different fresh accord they have used and it didn't last long and it actually smells very good and fresh with melon notes,dyrdown is where magic happens and it come very quick so opening don't last long,dry down is beautiful fruity,cashmeran and nice patchouli which is smooth not sharp i like this fragrance easily best from nasomoto plus bottle design are gorgeous 9/10 for me.

I wear this to the office when I want to piss off my coworkers. Whether it does or not, it gives me the feeling of being unapproachable. This is an aggressive, plasticky, amber-forward scent bomb, but it's also nuanced and complex. The melon lurks like a phantom in the background throughout the life of the scent, which feels eternal. I have shirts that still smell like Fantomas even after several trips through the wash. It lingers on fabric, on skin, and even in the air. Do not wear this around anyone who claims to be sensitive to chemicals or fragrances unless you want to make an enemy of them.

A bizarre but rewarding scent. Nasomatto's Fantomas is the scent of: - freshly upturned, dark, rich soil in front of a New Orleans mansion - an impossibly wealthy mountain lion - a slightly overripe cantaloupe served at a Michelin-starred restaurant - Karl Lagerfeld's cat Choupette - being ravaged by a multimillionaire vampire (net worth $50m+) who sunk his teeth into your neck and you loved it - Patrick Bateman from American Psycho - the leather interior of a Mercedes G-Wagon after two people fucked in it with no AC on - vapor, the fictional street drug from the FX series Legion.

it was a blind buy and i was scared based on the notes, but it was suprisingly good, definitely a scent that u never seen, the longevity and the projection are both pretty good like every other gualtieri, the opening is pretty smoky and plastic type of smell i don't know how but it smells good, i don't know how he done it but when u get that sweet airy scent and u get close it disappears and u keep smelling the smoky rubber type of scent, it's definitely one of the most artistic yet easy to wear frances made by gualtieri, for me it's a 9/10 definitely not a safe blind buy

This scent is bizzare. It’s the second most confusing fragrance i own, behind blamage by the same brand. This is very very polarizing. If you wear this, dont expect compliments, expect people to either think or say "What the fuck is that" it smells like a ball pit, burnt caramel, sweet plastic or fruity latex gloves. (Odd i know) but it’s addictive! I dont wear it much as its very unpleasnt to wear when your not feeling it. But when i am in the mood to wear it, it’s so good, confusing and mysterious. This is an emotionless scent. Something a narcissist would wear. 9/10

Most unique and interesting fresh opening i have ever smelld in any fragrance, yes there is a plastic note but in any way it does not smell bad and it last like few minutes, then melon notes kicks in and after 15 minutes later base note starts to evolve and its really beutifull base with cashmeran and nice patchuli i don't understand why people hate this ,its definitely deserves more appreciation then hate it gets ,probably beginners who only like citrus freshie doesn't understand the craftsmanship in this perfume, and yes bottle look so dam good 5/5 💙💙💙

I was expecting something really insane but it’s honestly not that wild. It’s nothing offensive in my opinion. Although it’s quite intriguing to the palette. Yes it smells like synthetic melon. Like they took cucumber melon body soray and only used the melon and spilled it on a tire. It’s really fascinating and I really like it. It may be more of a novelty fragrance but it’s fun. I would wear this tbh. I think it’s unique because it’s more so suited toward the equinox seasons best. Spring and autumn I could see this wearing well.

When I ask people what it smells like I get answers like Musk A general sweetness And flowers??? Twice Don’t over think when wearing this gem. It’s transformative and honestly mass appealing. If baccarat 540 a cologne that smells like a sweet hospital can sell like crazy and be worn out daily so can this sweet hi chew melon fragrance with burnt rubber and metal undertones. Ok on my life I just got a compliment 20 min after writing this. It was hard to tell him what I’m wearing because of how long of a name nasomatto Fantomous is.

I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream Malevolent and alluring. A cacophony of notes that for some reason just works, and I can't get enough of this. If memory serves me right, it was Persolaise who once compared it to the scent of a crime scene, and I can't agree more. Watery, metallic, gunpowdery, and plasticky facets, with subtle hints of a damp canine lurking in the background. To call it unique would be an understatement. Truly masterful work. Performance is nuclear, borderline sickening.

I fucking vibeee with this so much. The smell of rubber mixed with the fruitiness of melon is a duo that is just about right. It’s really an industrial, maybe light brutal fragrance, but it’s the friendliest out there out of all other options. The thing they have said about this fragrance, mostly that it’s about clubbing or raving etc. is completely false imo. Yes, it’s well suited and on point, but you could wear this for going out for a coffee too. Treat this fragrance better!

Fantomas, my beloved. I have a 5 ml decant of this perfume, and I can't decide if I should go for a full bottle. I'm obsessed with this fragrance. It opens with a strong, synthetic melon. After it dries down a bit, I can smell something super sweet. The mix of melon and the overwhelmingly sweet accord reminds me of my fav cocktail: watermelon juice mixed with cheap rasberry vodka which has a super sweet, artifical smell. It dries down earthy, it smells super soil-like.

Instant love! No gunpowder, no burnt rubber just some soft synthetic very soft melony/fruity vibe, actually like summery vibe. 80's synth vibe, neon and plastic. I can't really describe it! There is something mysterious/foggy underneath! Edit: I asked a colleague to describe it and she said she felt no fruits. And that she couldn't describe it at all. Edit 2: Wait.. Does someone else smell something milky? Edit 3: no, not fruits. Sweet milk? This is hard to pin down.

Nauseatingly wonderful. I bought it in Chicago on a whim. It was one of the first I sampled, but I was sold immediately. I’ve never smelled anything like it. It’s overwhelming and industrial. Reminds me of a specific visual novel I’ve played over and over. Feels dystopian. The more I wear it and smell it, the more I hate it, and then I end up loving it more because of that. So bizarre. Horrible and wonderful. Absolutely satisfied with this purchase.

My skin chemistry seems to react to Fantomas wildly differently than most of the reviews I have read, which makes wearing it such an interesting experience. The performance on me is fantastic. The opening is a bit weird at first, but as it settles, it turns into this musky, metallic scent with a very, very faint sense of toy plastic. It makes me feel like I belong in Cyberpunk 2077 or like I am half a cyborg from the future. An absolute masterpiece.

In conclusion it smells like fake plastic trees by Radiohead and crystal castles the band. Also tried it again rn before I went to sleep. Amazing, unique, and wearable. A insane blind buy but a successful one. Smells so much better than the first time I sprayed it, got used to this stuff fast. I can barely a smell soapy. Oh and I get a creamy melon now. Unfortunately my skin absorbs fragrances like crazy. So this doesn’t project but it last forever

When I initially sprayed it, it smelled very synthetic, metallic, smoky. Very much industrial. Then it develops to ozonic, fruity, earthy. It is not very intense, not sweet, fresh and definitely rich. I do like to wear it, it is another good fragrance from Nasomatto - creative, different, deep. I do not understand the low rating here. If you want to be different, this is definitely for you. Dress it in jeans and a tee or a shirt. "Love" from me :)

I love this fragrance so much I own a tester of this. Sadly I don’t own a full bottle. I will be owning a full bottle soon but about this fragrance. Yes I do smell the plastic and rubber. But the melon note in it is soo strong and that sweet note is making it sweeter. It dose sometimes give me headaches but only when I over spray.but other then that it’s amazing. Sweet fruity Smokey from the gunpowder plastic and rubber. 10/10 I must own this

I like this. It’s fun. It’s no what you’d call “super pleasing” - or “mass appealing” - but if you’re looking for an experience, this would be it. Unmistakably nasomatto. If you look at the notes - you can likely isolate each one while taking whiffs of this. Pretty cool. If I had to summarize - or give an overall feel - ummm... steamed metallic melons. Just a weird, fun smell that keeps things interesting.

It isn't half as controversial as some of the reviews will make you think it is. The melon and the rubber create an unforgetable mix. It smells like a bubblegum stuck to the sole of your sneakers. It's bold, energetic and a bit weird. It makes you think about hot summer days, as you walk to a beach after a night out. It smells youthful I would say that it gives an 'authenticly fake' vibe. I love it

One of the most unique fragrances out there, the blend of sweetness, smokiness and plastic stands out when compared to the other fragrances in the "futuristic" genre. Its impressive how the sweetness transitions from an overripe melon to caramel, but its smooth and not jarring. Great longevity like all Gualtieri perfumes, with one of the best bottle presentations in the entire Nasomatto line.

I dont understand why people complain about plastic smell which stays for minute or two on my skin and then go away ,dry down is beautiful cashmeren and earth patchuli with fruity notes stays most of yhe life span of this fragrance, even plastic smells accord is good as well it smells fresh not a burnt plasticy smell ,also for this price point i cant complain about it 8.8/10

By far my favorite fragrance EVER. Sends me to another dimension when smelling it. A beautiful symphony of fruity, metallic, ozonic, aquatic notes. Matches my persona totally. It's how I'd define mystery in a perfume. all-year round fragrance, maybe *just* not on a hot summer day as persistance and sillage are monstrous. Looking to buy it if you have a started one

Definitely a most interesting and unique freshi in my collection more i am wearing this more i appreciate, can't understand people talking about plastic note, its melon note which smells like newly made plastic but in a fresh way and doesn't last more then 30 sec on my skin ,Definitely deserves more praise then hate .

Reminds me of a friend of my grandparents on my father's side, Mallan, who wears really strong perfume and smokes a lot. This perfume is like sitting in her car. But on my skin. I love it. I don't need any other perfume. It's the only perfume I've tried that actually makes me feel that sense of nostalgia too.

This is a SINISTER fragrance. Unsettlingly unbudging? I wore it all day and left the gym in the evening still smelling like someone spun tires on a smashed melon in a parking lot on a hot summer's day but god if it didn't make me feel like a freshly unboxed cyborg with those metallic notes... Love it.

Burning rubber, cantaloupe, gunpowder, wet soil, ozonic notes. Fantomas makes no sense as a perfume, and yet it's so enjoyable--an almost maniacally happy scent. Sillage is strange; it disappears quickly, but reappears in wafts for a good 10 hours. Could only come from the mind of Gualtieiri.

Donno where ppl get this plastic note. This is sweet amber on a max! Lots of jarvanol, norlimbanol ect. you get the point. Very nice blended. If you into this type of ingredients you are gonna love it. In drydown smells a little similarly to Antonio Banderas The Secret Temptation.

I mostly get melon and a hint of plastic—no gunpowder. It’s still a unique and wearable fragrance, but it’s definitely not as strange as people make it out to be. I don’t understand how some find it unsettling. Still, it’s my favorite Nasomatto fragrance.

for people who are not into fragrances, at the wirst sniff they will think it smells like pumpkin or cough syrup. Its really hard to get plastic and rubber. This fragrance is not unique as You might think. 100% do not blind buy this one

Such a strange perfume. Clean smelling plastic, just like an inflatable beach ball, with a salty melon smell. This one actually got me a compliment from a complete stranger the first day I wore it. It performs incredibly well.
