I’ve worn micodelirio 3 days in a row since I got it. Each time I’ve worn it I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t say “it smells exactly like a forest full of pixies and mushrooms”, but isolated from the marketing, I love how it smells. That being said, it fits perfectly in the Nasomatto lineup to me. I’ve tried them all except china white, nudo, and nudiflorum. This profile doesnt smell like anything else except a Gualtieri fragrance. Does it maybe have notes similar to other Gualtieri fragrances? Sure...I feel the complaints about certain notes being similar to other Nasomatto’s or Orto parisi’s is kinda like complaining about Pharrell’s beats all having his signature 4 beat intro...Every time Gualtieri uses patchouli it’s unfair to say it’s lackluster just because another fragrance of his has patchouli in it...altogether this is a new profile and it’s refreshing with all the sameness in fragrances these days... It starts bright but dense with what seems to be a bitter orange combo with something green, maybe moss/patchouli/something camphorous underneath. This then starts to transition to a combo of ylang, other florals (maybe Jasmine), and what comes off lactonic and nutty with the greenness of the opening still in the background...this is the part I like the most, the part that keeps me smelling wherever I sprayed it...and it lasts for quite a while, an hour or 2...this stage starts to sweeten slightly and moves into a spiced, vanillic, nutty, dry down that goes on and on...please remember, this is a Gualtieri so my breakdown omits the indescribable complexities at each phase. This fragrance isn’t sharp green to me...it comes off round and smooth throughout. It’s not fougere or old school masculine green...it’s just Micodelirio...it’s better suited for fall/winter/early spring, cool weather. The dry down would be too much in high heat. I got the limited edition cap #80/100 and I will continue to enjoy this, another great Nasomatto in my collection. All things considered I rate this a 8/10 for now...I’m sure it would go up to a 9 in cooler, more appropriate weather.

I spray Micodelirio and suddenly find myself in a damp forest, with the smell of freshly turned earth filling my nostrils. It is an intense, almost unsettling sensation. I try to get my bearings, nose pointed toward the sky. I catch notes of conifers, pine resin, bitter balsamic nuances framed by dry, ancient woods. A hint of mold and mushrooms creeps through the air, then, little by little, an unexpected sweetness emerges: almost fruity, exotic, tropical. Eventually, it blends with something cheesy, animalic, primordial. After a bewildering opening dominated by earthy and balsamic notes, the fragrance develops into a substantial drydown that expands noticeably as body temperature rises, becoming almost overwhelming at times. But it was in the evening that I truly understood it. While taking a walk, I realized that Micodelirio was still there, gently cradling me, bringing a sense of peace and serenity, carrying my thoughts away and leaving me with an unusual feeling of lightness. An evening fragrance. Best suited to autumn and winter. More for oneself than for others. Remarkable projection, remarkable longevity. My personal impression is that, unlike many other fragrances by Gualtieri, this one contains a significant amount of natural raw materials. For the fragrance nerds, the label lists some of the following ingredients: Pogostemon Cablin Oil = patchouli Cananga Odorata Oil/Extract = ylang-ylang Jasmine Oil/Extract = jasmine Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil = geranium Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Peel Oil = bergamot Citrus Aurantium Peel Oil = bitter orange Beta-Caryophyllene = spicy, woody, peppery Carvone = spearmint, caraway, mushroom-like and aromatic facets Vanillin = vanilla Coumarin = tonka bean, hay, almond The formula also contains several naturally occurring terpenes: Limonene Alpha-Terpinene Pinene Terpineol Terpinolene Linalool Linalyl Acetate

I think there is a lot to enjoy about Micodelirio. There is the ever-present earth/soil and a freshness that resembles a pine or even a mint to my nose, like a forest walk after rain. But the fragrance does not settle for just petrichor, that would be too boring for something named after a mushroom-induced delirium. The smell has herbal notes that vaguely remind me of Black Afgano (I get artemisia and lavender) and a very earthy sweetness that resembles a sugar beet to me - a particularly nostalgic scent for yours truly. It truly feels like an "enchanted forest walk" in the opening and dries down into a very comforting, ambery sweetness to me. I do get the mushroom note, but like I read somewhere else, the fragrance feels more like the idea of a mushroom than a mushroom scent. I think the base is a bit too warm and might get cloying in hot summers, but the scent seems versatile otherwise. It feels like it radiates a lot less strongly than Alessandro's typical offerings, but lasts for quite a long time to me. I will definitely be wearing it more often.

I’m sure a lot of people is not going to like it ,not because is not pleasant but because is definitely not mass-appealing ,I personally find Micodelirio comforting, cozy and even elegant. To my nose I get wet forest soil after several rainy days, I even get geosmin , wet pine needles or something camphorous, I don’t really get any mushrooms, but I do get something nutty and powdery almost like coconut ,Seldomlyoftem reviewer told me it could be pine nuts, and I think it could also fit the description. As far as the evolution starts green, damp and camphorous and as it progresses the sharp green piney notes tone down but never disappear leaving a mild woody, nutty ,powdery ,calming ,almost meditative scent that stays like that for the remaining of the duration. Everyone is going to have a different perspective on the same notes, to me Micodelirio was a fantastic blind buy and I can’t wait for the colder season to wear it. As a side note I find the projection to be moderate but pretty good and longevity about 6-7 hours.

Decay. At first, a dappled green-brown moss invites you into the forest floor. After some time it buckles and invites you to its bed of rotted wood, so tender it would turn to dust under a human hand. This blooms into a mushroom that can only be called dank. It is humid and dense like mold, truly remarkable. At once, the atmosphere is focused while so blurred. The harder you look at this mushroom the worse your thrall. Micodelirio is a psychedelic masterpiece without relying on any of the scent tropes of incense, sage, or palo santo. This fragrance will not be enjoyed by most people. Evocative, never performative. Attendant at the perfume counter offered me the only tiny promotional sample the store had while they wait to receive a shipment of full bottles to sell. Highly anticipated this scent and the dry-down was worth the wait. If you can try this, do it. Allow yourself to be surprised (submerged). The promotional video for this scent captures it perfectly.

So I just got this in as a birthday gift from my friend...and this is really something else. It's almost along the lines of Blamage but in a darker and earthier direction. A sort of sharp astringent dark green-ness? It smells like a poisonous plant or like ash on the bark of a tree in the rainforest. Very green but not in a Vetiver or Oakmoss kind of way. It's green like it's pouring in the rainforest and you've stumbled across a giant wet tree with a bark that you know you shouldn't touch. Petrichor on steroids with something sinister mixed in. I will have to update but I can already tell this is gonna be one of the more interesting ones from the brand. Will let you guys know on the dry down. UPDATE: This thing is quite linear to my nose and that's kind of a good thing here! It retains all of its character from opening to drydown. Rainy, earthy, forest like fragrance. If I want to smell like a wood elf all day, this will be my go to from now on :)

I’m totally onboard with the psychedelic mushroom idea here. First blast is wet and mouldy, some people say basement but I’m on team forest floor. Realistic and maybe a bit challenging. Then it suddenly transports you into a world of colour. I detect a fresh and bitter beetroot-like note (one of the few similarities to Risvelium). Purple was the perfect colour for the packaging. It shapeshifts back and forth for a few hours like the wiggly visuals of a mushroom trip, sometimes back in the forest and sometimes hallucinating. The drydown has a chocolate sweetness like Pardon and lasts a surprisingly long time. Another reviewer detected tonka bean, which I almost regret reading because it concretised something that was really mysterious and magical to me before. I really like this one. Where Risvelium is a big blast of psychedelic sunlight in your face, Micodelirio is the grounded, earthy embrace of the forest gnomes.

Just got my special edition today (and cap number 1 as well!!). First impressions are very positive. Opens earthy, musty green - reminds me a lot of Prins discontinued Ahuizotl - but slightly fresher and more balsamy. Has somewhat of a more tangy angle to it as well, but doesn't seem to venture too far into incense like Zoologist's king cobra. Place it in the same category as the two I've mentioned though. Definitely going to be a regular wear if the dry down goes well Edit after a day's wear: Dries down to a very pleasant sweet wet woody scent. Ok punch for the first 8 hours, but towards the end it did start to get overpowered by yesterday's Nudiflorum on my shirt. Compared arm to arm with King Cobra. KC is very spicy and green, dominated by the incense. If this was stripped away, I think one would get a very close base to Mico, albeit with Mico retaining a slightly sweeter tone

Was a blind buy for me. Personally I get lots of eucalyptus, orange peel, soil and yellow florals, as well as a bit sweetness of raw-like vanilla? Sister said it smells like orange peel or a glass of aperitivo. I got it the same time I played Resident Evil Requiem, so it will forever remind me of this specific game. Especially the moment when we finally left the sanatorium with Grace and Emily. The outside must have smelled like something similar to Micodelirio. Overall a weird but pleasant fragrance and easy to wear. Probably works for all seasons, but best when it's raining or had rained. Sillage and longevity is slightly above average but comfortable. Not as strong as other Nasomattos for sure. Also one of the more natural smelling Nasomatto to me.

  • em inglês

Micodelirio opens very soily, earthy, reminded me of smell of shu puerh tea. After the earthy layer goes woody and herbal, fresh layer, reminding me a bit of Viride by orto parisi. After some time of wearing it outside i felt a light spicyness, it very interesting how this fragrance just gives you new sensations over time. I also feel like the longer you sniff it - the sweeter it gets, almost vanilla - caramel notes. It really reminded me of King Cobra by zoologist, its very funny because i just got the sample of it recently and it smells very similar. btw this perfume made me finally make an account on fragrantica and this is my first review. peace!

Best Nasomatto ever. So, so beautiful, playful and original. Performs forever without oppressing, unlike Risvelium which made me wish I'd never worn it after a few hours. This is probably the most complex Nasomatto fragrance I've worn too. I didn't like it immediately and it absolutely MUST be worn on skin, don't judge it from a spray on card. Also, I've always thought their flimsy paper packaging was very inadequate, bit this deluxe, velvety version is perfect for this scent, as is the bottle, and it feels more robust.

  • em inglês

Awesome, earthy, damp and wet. It has this really realistic soil note with a bit of a sweet orto Paris vibe to it in the opening, most perfumes by Alessandro Gualtieri have a similar background note, as it dries down it feels like a wet rock in a rainy forest, I love it. Doesn't last as long as I expected though. The dry down after 3-4 hours becomes underwhelming on my skin.

  • em inglês

Blind buy for me...When im smelling it close to skin it creates a perfect vivid image of my late great grandma house...Moldy,old furniture and books...Whole house is very dark and cold, but somehow creates a fuzzy and warm safe feeling for me..I will give it a few days to really try to understand it...This has nothing to do with Risvelium, people are insane

  • em inglês

I just tried micodelirio in a perfume shop in Barcelona. Damp earth, moss, petrichor-like and then... earthy patchouli. Loved it. Like walking in an old mossy forest after the rain. No evolution; beast mode sillage, projection and durability. I'll get my bottle. The cap is cool.

Questo profumo vi trasporta direttamente in un bosco umido, legnoso, circondato da muschi, licheni e funghi. Gualtieri genio contemporaneo non delude mai! (Non prendo soldi dalla casa madre per questa recensione😂)

  • em inglês

Damp moss stones and mushrooms, sweeter as it fades. A more approachable and less "masculine" Olm by Zoologist, but you need to enjoy smelling like a cave (I do).

  • em inglês

Damn this is strong stuff. To make it short, earth (maybe wet), forest/trees, there is something sweet and i do get some hints of mint too. Amazing stuff.

Not sure what to say about this It’s a hard one to explain and even harder to contemplate What goes wild throughout this is the patchouli for sure it radiates throughout the lifecycle of the fragrance The sourness or earthiness I might add is a different story I bought figment man before it disappeared from the market Thought it might be acceptable as an earthy scent but it was unbearable So I couldn’t wear it again What I’m sure about is that the same note or chemical compound was used in this one but in a much calculated manner When you first apply the scent it’s almost crazy strong But later on it gets less intense and more suitable for male audiences My problem with it my nose gets used to it after 3 to 4 hours meaning I don’t get much except a little whiffs here and there Once again the perfumer proves he is as he likes to be called “crazy nose” a very interesting entry but the previous scent was a lot better and a lot more creative I didn’t get any mushrooms if you were wondering

  • em inglês

I took home a napkin with one spray of this, now my whole bag smells like Rumpelstiltskin's coochie. Sooo powdery and dusty that you start imagining dirt particles on your fingers. I like it, but it's a bit too happy for my taste

  • em inglês

Wooster below „recreated” the actual pyramid perfectly and I am fully agree. No muschroom at all for me. Beetroot, iris, tonka. A bit sweet, very comfortable, nothing special actually :(

EN Nasomatto Micodelirio — when a myth starts recycling itself I own practically the entire Nasomatto line, with the only exception of the most explicitly feminine fragrance, which I never purchased. For this reason, my opinion on Micodelirio does not come from a superficial impression or from an isolated test, but from a long-standing relationship with the brand. In its best years, Nasomatto was one of the most recognizable and daring projects in niche perfumery. Its first great fragrances had something rare: a clear, disturbing, almost physical idea. They did not try to please everyone. They entered the room with their own personality — sometimes rough, sometimes dark, sometimes deliberately uncomfortable. One could love them or hate them, but it was difficult to confuse them with anything else. With Micodelirio, however, the feeling is quite different. It does not seem like a true new creative direction, but rather an elegant assembly of familiar fragments. As if Nasomatto had taken certain shadows, certain notes, certain impressions from its most successful fragrances, mixed them together, and then presented the result as a new provocation. And this is exactly the problem: the provocation here feels more declared than real. On paper, Micodelirio wants to evoke a fungal, humid, earthy, instinctive, almost psychedelic world. In theory, this should be perfect territory for Alessandro Gualtieri. But in practice, the fragrance does not really open a new door. It does not take you somewhere unknown. It does not create the sense of disorientation that the best Nasomatto fragrances were able to produce. On the contrary, for a collector who pays close attention to details, Micodelirio clearly reveals echoes of things already done, already seen, already smelled within the same house. And that is exactly what makes the disappointment stronger. This is not simply a weak fragrance. It is a fragrance that tries to appear daring by using olfactory and emotional materials already associated with the brand’s past success. The result may be slightly different on the surface, but it is not truly new in substance. The last three releases, at least for me, make this tendency increasingly obvious. Each of them seems to borrow something from Nasomatto’s historical vocabulary — a little darkness, a little animality, a little dirty sweetness, a little wood, a little manufactured eccentricity — without ever reaching the original force of the perfumes that built the myth. It feels as if the brand keeps imitating its own past, but with less courage, less necessity, less ferocity. Micodelirio is perhaps the clearest example of this drift. The name promises delirium, but the fragrance remains controlled. It promises alteration, but moves within already familiar boundaries. It promises instinct, but feels calculated. It promises a new madness, but ultimately delivers a rather ordinary composition, almost cautious. For me, it is total banality — not because it is technically badly made, but because I expect much more from Nasomatto. I expect risk, identity, rupture, something that cannot easily be reduced to a sum of previous formulas. Here, instead, the mechanism is too visible: take the prestige of past successes, reshuffle a few recognizable codes, and present the result as a new creative adventure. But a collector who knows the line well can see through it. And when the ghosts of previous fragrances are too clearly recognizable inside a new one, the spell breaks. Micodelirio does not feel like the future of Nasomatto. It feels like its past recycled — made easier, more banal, and far less necessary.

Is it a new release from Gualtieri, or is it an old release that he kept hidden all these years & now is the time to release it ? It reminds me of his way of working in the old days when he came up with Hindu Grass; its not about some few similarities that they both share, it’s about the structure he built Micodelirio on. MICODELIRIO is familiar, yet it’s uniquely different than any other NASOMATTO. The opening is violet, spicy with hints of fruity, soury sweetness like mandarin & grapefruit with hints of cypress & minty mango Two minutes in, it starts to become sweeter, earthy, dusty & a bit creamy with green & damp soil notes. Flowers, patchouli, iris & orris are definitely in the background, maybe magnolia as well with a sweet, soury tone with beetroot & rhubarb. It is a formula that needs cold winter to shine. I find the heart more animalic with notes of smoky incense & mushroom. It keeps getting sweeter & less green than the opening. You can sense chocolate or maybe coca butter with cinnamon, passion fruit & sweet coconut rising, & they’re perfectly complementing each other while it gets sweeter & sweeter. There is a real, dense vetiver used here, not the green, fresh, delicate type of vetiver, the other type of vetiver: the dark oily green vetiver. (The real Vetiver) It’s deep, it’s dark, sweet & violety. It smells like baking a sweet & savory cake made of earthy soil & sweet, green vegetables instead of flour. The base is powdery & less sweet with faint traces lingering from the opening rising again along with hints of bitter-green & damp soil notes with more vetiver, patchouli, coconut & notes of oakmoss, amber, sandalwood, cedar, musk & tonka bean with faint hints of oud & light animalic leathery tone. I would say that this is such an interesting experience & every time you wear it, you experience something different & new. Do I love it ? Do I like it ? Only time will tell, as it grows on me super fast. But every time it gets more interesting & that’s the charm of Alisandro Gualtieri’ work of a genius. Performance is excellent with excellent sillage, it stayed on my skin till next day. IG @Sir.Fragrances

*** SPAM WARNING! *** Nasomatto’s latest release, Micodelirio, arrives with the usual dose of mystique, manifesto-style language and just enough conceptual (brain)fog to make you wonder whether you’re about to smell a masterpiece or... something else. Promoted as an exploration of "natural vital delirium" and organic disobedience, it certainly sounds intriguing, although with Alessandro Gualtieri, the line between artistic vision and niche performance art is often deliberately blurry. In my first impressions video (YouTube - mostly_just_perfumes), I go in blind to see what Micodelirio actually does on skin, beyond the dramatic language and intriguing presentation. Does it genuinely evoke mushrooms, wet earth and geosmin-rich forest undergrowth? Or is this another case of a compelling concept doing a lot of heavy lifting for a fragrance that’s less radical than advertised? In my video, I cover: - Unboxing - The presentation, including the distinctive "Brut Couture" Banksia wood cap - My expectations about the composition - The opening moments on skin and initial texture - Early reflection on the scent profile As always, these are my raw, immediate impressions. No overglazed (a.k.a. "affiliated") praise, no automatic reverence (despite being a Gualtieri fanboy), and no assumption that "strange" automatically means "brilliant".

For me this a rhubarb bomb similar to nudiflorum. It’s kind of got that poison plant thing that nudiflorum has that I can’t really even describe because it’s pretty complex and synthetic smelling. I do get a slight beet root but for me it’s more like rhubarb and some type of floral adjacent note. As it dries down it’s becomes almost creamy and velvety in texture with musks in the background. Overall I find it to be kind of this cloying, earthy and somehow synthetic at the same time. To be honest I find it pretty hard to wear. I find that Risvelium did a better job of concept execution for an other worldly psychedelic scent. I’ll most likely not buy this even though im a huge Nasomatto fan. I might change my mind though so who knows. Here’s my rookie note pyramid: Top: Rhubabarb, Jasmine Middles: Mushroom, Beetroot,Angelica Coconut, Geosmin , Fig Base: Sandalwood,Tonka,Oakmoss, Ambroxan I think this is a pretty solid note breakdown but the top middle base is probably disarranged.

Micodelirio is an intresting perfume, today i went to a perfume shop to try something new and i saw Micodelirio there so I thought why sholdn't I try it Imidietly i was hit with one of the darkest and most powerful sents I have ever smelt, I have no idea how but Alessandro made a perfume that smels like a dark forest or an old abandoned cabin in the woods. I was realy surprised by the sent because the only Alessandro perfumes I have tried are Baraonda,Brutus,Boccanera and Teroni so this was a very surprising sent The smell isn't particularly bad, but I will defenetly not buy it because there is no way I will ever actualy wear it. It whould be one of those perfumes you show your friends how wierd and intresting it smells but I could newer spray it on my self for any ocasion Owerall if you like these kind of dark and natural smelling sents you should defenrtly try Micodelirio. This perfume is a little to much for me so I will leave it alone.

The opening is VERY different than the drydown, It starts off vivid jittery intense like being unprepared at the start of a 🍄 trip, i can feel fruity notes and a prominent apricot. However, as it dries down you relax yourself and surrender to ther mushroom's effects. From there you are taken to a foggy white birch forest moist but not raining you can feel the mycelium be present without sensing it though, the moss woods and ¿suede? overpower it. You have know become the student of the trip.

opens like stepping into a damp forest after rain — earthy, dark, and deeply organic. The first minutes smell of wet soil, moss, and crushed wood, almost as if you were walking through a humid woodland at dawn. Soon after, a vivid green accord appears, bringing to mind freshly cut grass and wild herbs, giving the fragrance a natural and slightly untamed character. As it develops, the scent slowly transforms into something softer: a sweet, drydown wrapped in a cool camphor-like nuance

I am kind of disappointed. I thought that geosmin note would last longer, instead we get a little of it, with quick transition to the woody base DNA of this brand.

Boring, lazy work. Mr. G isn’t better to come out that shock people than a boring scent that so many brand made it already before you?

This to my nose smells nothing of mushroom. It is quite minty and Camphorous.

AG post a photo of himself infront of fragrance oils. There was a mushroom with tendrils coming off of it. Mushrooms were used in the marketing but I don’t think that means it’s supposed to smell like mushrooms. At least, not in a major way. Just as Risvelium was influenced by ayahuasca, I think this was influenced by mushrooms. While marketing Micodelirio AG mentioned how he isn’t even making the decisions & it’s creating itself. He seems to suggest that he just “let go”. A state anyone with psychedelic experience would say is necessary if coming out ahead is the goal. I don’t get a mushroom smell or vibe at all. Maybe the earthy/ leafy backbone is supposed to represent that but mushrooms certainly don’t feel like the main character or a supporting one. More of an influence. I also immediately saw similarities in almost all previous Nasomattos. It felt like a combination of every Nasomatto & risvelium. Not in a complete way but in a bits & fragments kinda way. Risvelium & nudiflorum being the most pronounced. It didn’t really make sense. There’s a sorta fall/ dry leafy backbone but it also has this hazy confusion about it. Maybe that’s part of the delirium. Scents like Nudiflorum would randomly pop up like an echo & then fade into the background again. It doesn’t ever really make sense. It doesn’t ever feel super appropriate for a particular occasion either. I again think all of this is the point. Risvelium was the awakening & this was a reflection. A quiet walk in the woods, reminiscing. Just as nudi florum starts with the mission of translucence & is defined as floral... I think mico delirio to vibrate or twinkle mad or crazy (Latin)... is supposed to provide some explanation. The name has nothing to do with mushrooms, from my understanding. The (cap) banksia pod represents survival, identity & regrowth... all in alignment with this overarching concept. It doesn’t smell particularly good or bad, to me. This one feels more like art. I’m honestly surprised it’s rated as high as it is. Probably a bit bias, for now. Some people thought risvelium was too safe... this is the same direction & less easy. This is rated high now but I don’t think it’ll sell well. AG is my favorite artist but from a random consumer perspective... this scent is no where near a 9 out of 10. Out of his 25 main fragrances... this isn’t top 20 wearability, for me. Glad to have it regardless, can’t wait till next drop! I wrote this the day I opened my bottle a few days ago. I was gonna sit on it before posting but i think I’ve become nose blind to this scent & need a break for now to develop any further opinions.

you'll smell a bit of mushroom-like dampness before being submerged in the usual gualtieri ambroxan base. the once revolutionary formula is now reduced to a joke, symbol of one of the worst trends in modern perfumery (the machista obsession with performance). into this thing's drydown, nobody around you will be able to discern if you're wearing this, megamare, or anything else from gualtieri really... sorry but this got boring.

Jonas Akerlund’s ‘Ditch’ in all but name. I don’t get mushroom at all; mould yes, in a cold damp basement. I’m sure this kind of experiment is fun for the perfumer but Micodelerio is truly nought but hollow laughter provoked by a one note joke. My advice would be don’t buy without trying and if you do for heaven’s sake don’t wear it on a first date!

I don’t like it. Straight up mushrooms Right now its projecting from my arm and mixing with Seminalis and its creating a pleasant layer tbh. But then again seminalis is amazing on its on

Had one of the shitty pouch samples of this and it leaked on my desk without me realising. Had to live with my workspace smelling like shit for months. Nasty weirdly vanillic damp earth is the vibe.

If there is a brand that, over the years, has transformed artistic perfumery into a total conceptual act, it is Nasomatto. I am not referring only to the fragrances, but to the entire system: aesthetics, communication, calculated silence, provocation. Its releases have never raised the bar to please, but to challenge (and perhaps challenge itself). In recent years, I have had the feeling that Alessandro Gualtieri has completely stopped holding back in every possible way. As if the historical pillars, first and foremost Black Afgano, allowed the brand to stop compromising altogether, continuing to support the entire structure both symbolically and economically, making an increasingly extreme creative freedom possible. Some columns hold up the temple; others can afford to deform it. For me, the perfect balance point was Fantomas: pop yet experimental, accessible yet disturbing, perhaps arriving from the future a few years too early. P.S.: it still remains my favorite in the line alongside Blamage and Sadonaso, a trio I reviewed here on Fragrantica and strongly recommend reading to better understand my perspective. In recent years, something has also changed in parallel within Orto Parisi: the language has become increasingly vertical, divisive, going all-in every single time. For example, Risvelium felt to me like a strange metamorphosis, an evolutionary fusion of several previous identities merged together. But now we arrive at Micodelirio. Disclaimer: I have not smelled it yet. And that is precisely the point: when a brand makes you write before letting you smell, it has already won. This review was born before the scent itself. It was born from the concept. It was born from the hype generated over the course of a month. It is impressive how Nasomatto manages to generate an almost obsessive level of attention with a video, a logo, the image of a bottle, and a short sentence. In this industry, no other brand manages to create such high expectations with so little. It is communication in its purest form. The concept seems to openly dialogue with Orto Parisi’s earthy and primitive aesthetic: humidity, undergrowth, fungal matter. It is not a “strange” idea in absolute terms, but it feels powerful, coherent, and instinctively aligned with what Alessandro has always communicated. A research into matter itself, into the physicality of smell. Olfactorily, I imagine intelligent reconstructions of illusion: fungal facets obtained from jasmine extractions that are less indolic and more earthy, molecules evoking wet soil, spores, and roots. (for the nerds who enjoy these things, I would imagine the use of jasmonyl, geosmin, 1-octen-3-ol, earthy pyrazines...) But the real rupture here is aesthetic: the cap. For the first time, the clean and minimal coherence of the collection seems to crack in a definitive way. An organic, perforated, eroded form. No longer merely squared or cylindrical blocks, but something almost alive itself (a woody Banksia seed cone, an Australian flower with a uniquely honeyed scent that God only knows what kind of journey Gualtieri must have taken to arrive at such a destination, perhaps wandering through the woods and flea markets of southern Milan like in the trailer video?). The choices behind the packaging, the name, and the cap are radical choices. And radical choices divide people. When the bar is raised this high, the line between avant-garde and self-parody becomes dangerously thin. Every new release seems to implicitly contain the possibility of being the last. The creative tension is extremely high. And I wonder how much further this language can be pushed before imploding into its own aesthetic. That is why I believe Micodelirio could very easily become either a huge success or a huge failure. But that is perfectly fine. Today, Nasomatto no longer seeks unanimity (and perhaps it never did), but loyalty, brand devotion, polarization. And in a market increasingly driven toward homogenization, this refusal to please everyone feels almost romantic. Because beneath all this provocation, I still perceive something profoundly classical. A slow and coherent construction of myth, almost Renaissance-like in its obsession with form. I do not know whether Micodelirio will be loved or hated. I do not know whether I will personally like it, and I do not really care. Because when a brand manages to make you write a review before you have even smelled the fragrance, it is not selling a perfume. It is selling something more important: imagination.

Mύκης means “mushroom” in Ancient Greek. Delirium comes from Latin and means “madness.” For me, Micodelirio is not as catastrophic as the previous Risvelium. It’s not as sharp or loud. It's rather softer. The drilling rig that was boring into your nose at full power in Risvelium is only running at half speed here. To put it in a nutshell - Micodelirio smells like a damp cellar filled with beetroots. And that’s pretty much it. So for the people around you, the main question will be: where is that moldy cellar smell coming from? I got similar impressions from Figment Man by Amouage, only there the cellar was full of sprouting potatoes. Whereas here, it’s all about punchy beetroot in the style of Comme des Garçons. I was also reminded of the same cold cellar from Vetiver Bourbon by Parfum d’Empire, but that one was filled with carrots. If we approach the fragrance not as a casual wearer but as a perfume nerd, it unfolds like this: a powerful opening of biting patchouli with fiberglass-like sesnsation which is essentially due to a massive overdose of cashmeran. There’s a huge amount of it here. It’s responsible for that olfactory effect of a sweater made from 100% synthetic fibers. Against this backdrop a raw beetroot note is sticking out, alternating between freshly cut root vegetable and cold beetroot soup into which someone dropped a box of nails. Around it iris materials from Iris Cendré by Naomi Goodsir drift like restless souls. That’s how it smells for the first couple of hours, and then, finally, something more or less pleasant appears. A sweetish tonka bean note emerges, reminiscent of chocolate. The base notes begin to resemble those in the recent release L’Amant by L’Artisan Parfumeur. I pick up similar musky patchouli with red pepper and chemical ink. It also echoes Purpose by Amouage in its industrial-earthy style. After 4–5 hours, what remains close to the skin is woody bitter chocolate and, unexpectedly, a hint of milk in a metal mug. The signature rusty iron note present in many of Gualtieri’s fragrances is here as well. Not a bad dessert after the amberwood-loaded beetroot soup eaten in a moldy root cellar. I would sketch the actual note pyramid like this: Top notes: red pepper / paprika Heart notes: beetroot, iris Base notes: patchouli, cashmeran, vetiver, incense, tonka bean, musk I didn’t detect any moss or mushrooms. Instead here we have harsh patchouli and radioactive-like root vegetables.

Okay, so this won't be my full review as the bottle has a not reached my country yet but I had the lucky pleasure to get a original decant of it unexpectedly after getting another perfume (Zoologist) at a shopping page. I put the juice into a vial (horrible decant packages though) and got a couple of sprays. Sprayed it onto my arms directly for three days in a row, so got mainly the idea behind it. Earth, moss, definitely geomism, eucalyptus, pachouli, orange/cirtus at the top, and there is definitely some kind of vanillin sweetness; I'd not say fruity sweetness, more like citrus/vanillin sweetness reminicent of the orange color juice of the perfume. This sweetness reminds me of Blamage in its approach but very different at the same time, not the same, kind of fresh. (people say it Blamage has peach in it, that gives it sweetness but I don't think there is any peach more there). So people below me saying this does not have any sweetness and it is purely earthy notes making entirely artistic and unwearable, I think they need some nose adjustment indeed and start smelling some sugar, lol. There is also definitely sandalwood and pachouli, it adds a slightly creamy dark woody base. Again the sweetness here gets so orange to the point that it starts confusing me that it has amber in the base. Of course, airy musk in the base giving it body. Performance: great longevity in my opinion 8-12 hours easily, but... (yeah this coming "but" might be for you, not for me, I don't mind this) projection is actually noticeably in the first 15-30 minutes and then it becomes a more intimate scent. It's smooth. Wearable for all seasons, casual occasions. Actually, I got a compliment out of it the last day I sprayed all the juice. Won't be for everyone, but I don't think it has any challenge on it. I think it has some uniqueness but nothing too challenging, Nowhere close as challenging as other Nasomattos like Sadonaso, Nudiflorum, Fantomas. I thought the concept would have a lot of similarities to Risveleum as that one has a lot of earth tones to it as well. But nah, they are not the same. Risveleum was way more dirty, vegetal, metallic, gasoline, earth.

Yea, earthy petrichor. Damp, upturned earth. I know I've smelled a Demeter one-noter like this, only this is stronger and more concentrated. I think I have a Demeter like this, but don't want to go dig it out to confirm. I have a small collection of petrichor scents. This may also have a distant similarity to Zoologist Snowy Owl too, but only distant and slight. Some say this smells more like beetroot, which I can't confirm since I've never smelled it. And rhubarb, which I have smelled because I like the note and was curious. Since rhubarb is mildly earthy, mildly vegetal, with a subtle sourness, maybe only a little similarity. But others below bring in notes of fig and coconut? No. Nothing sweet. Micodelirio has the same issue a lot of Zoologist scents do : wearability vs. artistry. Is it a wearable scent or just shelf art, to be sprayed just to impress the occasional visitor? I think with Micodelirio I would need to pair it with another scent. Otherwise its just too raw and extreme. I have Rotano by Maison d'ETTO which smells of sweaty horse leather, like taking off a horse's saddle after a polo match. I paired it with Macanudo, from the same horse-themed house, and it smelled a horse running around on a grassy polo field in the morning. Macanudo has a few adjacent similarities with Micodelirio, it smells of upturned grass and a bit of damp earth, minus the fungus/mold/mushroom. But the Maison d'ETTO pairing is very wearable, so maybe something similar for the artsy Micodelirio. All I know is after three simple sprays, the damp earthy mushroom was so intense after a few hours that I had to balance it by spraying on my favorite honey scent for bedtime. Maybe Micodelirio can be a Halloween night fragrance.

Okay, let's go... Microdelirio is Nasomatto's latest creation, presented as part of the brand's artistic project. According to the house itself, the fragrance is born from a "natural vital delirium," evoking a pulsating, wild, and constantly transforming ecosystem. On the nose, the experience is surprisingly realistic. For someone in Europe like me... where everything passes right under my nose first, Microdelirio delivers an authentic impression of damp soil, almost like a forest after the rain. There's a striking earthy accord, but without falling into the excess of wet earth or heavy woods. The highlight is the combination of dry and elegant cedar with organic nuances reminiscent of fresh mushrooms and champignons. This facet creates a dark, natural, and sophisticated atmosphere at the same time. There's a romantic and sensual side hidden beneath this vegetal layer, but it's a discreet, introspective sensuality, far from conventional seductive perfumes. It's a serious, austere, and contemplative fragrance. The scent of soil is ever-present, firm and realistic, accompanied by dry woods and notes reminiscent of a shaded garden, covered in moss and subterranean life. Those who appreciate perfumes inspired by nature, ancient gardens, humid forests, and refined earthy accords will likely find a fascinating creation here. Microdelirio does not seek to please everyone. It is a perfume with a strong, artistic, and challenging personality, transforming the scent of living earth into an elegant and deeply evocative olfactory experience. 8/10

forest ...vanilla-like (tonka?) labdanum ... delicately silky smoky woods ... tired woods, weighed down by the dense humidity of the beginning of autumn, plushly gooey on the surface, quietly exhaling the last remnants of late summer vapors ... a momentary impression of a deliciously wrinkled iris, which with its sweetness caresses the delicate fir balsams ... resins as if in the form of rotting marshmallows - moist, soft, airy and at the same time warm, moist, dusty ... taste/smell of pine cones - again warm, moist (this fragrance does not contain any cold, winter, cold tone, on the contrary - it is like constantly breathing your own warm breath into your palms) ...if it were possible, then - feet up to the ankles buried in moss and only dark bottle-green branches conifers have behind the roof and palms up and facing the sky a charging and at the same time calming force through my feet in the ground... MICODELIRIO has almost all the flavors in it - sweet bitter sour salty ...forest and space... A sensually velvety scent (...and a beautiful velvet box in the color of cardinal purple)

While Micodelirio is a really enjoyable fragrance to me, in the usual Nasomatto style that we all love, I agree with @velb95 that it is nothing groundbreaking. I really like it, but I feel like Alessandro wanted to do the same concept that he did when making Risvelium, which is a perfume based around his other scents. We know that along with the newly added grapefruit note, Risvelium has the leathery base that's found in Cuoium/Nudiflorum, and the green heart of Viride. I feel like Micodelirio is similar in that regard - introduce a new note just like Risvelium did with the grapefruit; that being the mushroom note here, but build it around notes we're already familiar with: I personally get the chocolatey patchouli of Pardon and even Brutus, and I get an earthy bitterness that is similar to that in Absinth. As I've said, it's nice, but it's missing that wow factor we were waiting for. Hopefully Alessandro comes up with crazy new concepts next time we haven't really seen before (at least with his houses).

Much better than I expected! It opens mossy, earthy, slightly sweet, and warm. There’s earthy patchouli and moss, along with a subtle chocolate-like accord. It has a slight undertone of a very masculine shower gel vibe, similar to Duro. The chocolatey patchouli also reminds me of Pardon. There’s also a faint urinous nuance (more of a sweet-sour earthiness than anything unpleasant). It creates an impression of mushrooms and damp forest floor, without actually smelling directly like either. It definitely reminds me of a blend of Pardon and Duro—about 30% of those two combined, while the remaining 70% is made up of earthy patchouli, a slightly urinous facet, and a touch of damp, moldy character. That actually makes a lot of sense, because Alessandro Gualtieri’s signature is clearly present here. Even though the theme revolves around mushrooms, there’s still that dense, bodily, almost dirty-sexy foundation running through the fragrance.

I bought it. First wet soil with fungi and forest flora on the base of Black afgano's sweeter incense, then more herbal like Absinthe together with Pardon, with the solid soil-fungi background. The Black afgano-sweetness is detectable and compliments well the soil-raw patchouli-mushroom-forest soil microorganisms feeling. In the drydown ylang-ylang on patchouli/soil comes up a bit more. Rather unique, typical Nasomatto. I love both the perfume and the cap! NB: I have almost all the Nasomatto perfumes and two from the Orto Parisi-line. NB2: This is not like Risvelium (blanding of the main notes from the other Parisis). This is a unique concept; if it uses the Hindu grass baseline, I don't know. I didn't get a chance to smell that one before it became discontinued. This is more like those concept perfume rolls one can find on Etsy (I have a couple of them).

Read until the end... not what you think. Beautiful gentle woody , forestry opening... Gorgeous , im definetely transported in a forest after the rain. With the mist all around me. Seems like Alessandro Gualtieri has calmed down..is it possible ? Wet amazing damp soil. Give it 20 minutes and it's fully rotten soil and mold in the base of a dying tree in the forest. The mushrooms yes, but it's unwearable and heavy. Makes me cough. The evolution on me is super difficult and not fun, like a bad trip. So advice : no blind buy. BUT i still love this fragrance for my collection, would prob not wear . Cause we are all a little bit insane , and that's how we like it. This is a beast ! ( says someone who wears black afghano and stercus * old formula )

A complete failure. And it's a clone of Tom Ford Extreme, which itself is echoed by Amouage Figment Man. All three are artistic fragrances centered around one thing: the smell of wet earth—mud, plain and simple. If you enjoy smelling like you've rubbed mud on yourself and walked through a crowd, that's your personal choice. But what matters to me now is that Alessandro is clearly trying to imitate that style. Unfortunately.

I just sprayed it on my skin and on paper. On paper it's really fleeting, on my skin it plays so wonderfully out. It keeps me guessing. I smell patchouli, I smell geosmin, and I smell the beetroot, but every few minutes it changes. The smell of beetroot is the most prominent. I also smell mushrooms, but not in a very strong type of way, it's almost as the mushrooms were washed and you smelled your hand after you've washed them. Not at all offensive. There is a light wind outside and whiffs of the fragrance keep hitting my nose. For me it's a must buy.
