Nateeva Jamaica absolutely surprising gift for me! When I received it I went on vacation to Cuba and everyone was like omg you smell so delicious. I'm surprised the pyramid doesn't have the very famous Lignum Vitae Flower which is the national flower of Jamaica it's the main note! Full and abundant with its intoxicating fragrance, the vanilla and white musk with coconut and somewhat Tahitian Gardenia or tiare note is to die for, Sillage and longevity are great! Gorgeous and definitely a Best for Summer under the sun looking at the Ocean and drinking Margaritas. Thanks, ONE LOVE TO MARLEN!

When spraying this perfume you can hear children playing and splashing in the water. This really is the "beachy" smell while tanning on the beach. It's a lazy hazy day and someone is eating Burger King on a picnic table in the state park, teen girls are enjoying sidewalk sales in the small town, and a couple with their dog are hiking on a nearby foot trail. There's a lot of people in this little bottle! And there's more headed this way because beach volley ball is about to begin! This is for anyone under the sun!

I’ve never smelled the lignum vitae flower, but I bought this on super sale, knowing it’s not my style, but also knowing it’s gift giving season, and of Nateevas’ offerings, this one was the most intriguing (based on the complete notes and also reviews). I sprayed it on my shirt, because I don’t have the arm space, and the dry down is giving bougie floral lotion. Actually, it’s reminding me a lot of the classic Pantene Pro-V conditioner I used to have in the 2000s (sweet, aquatic -meaning lightly salty), but with other fancier notes thrown in. It gives that luxurious, freshly showered, I smell amazing with my still-wet lustrous hair, vibe. It does have a bit of bitter yet tangy citrus to it, and something distinctly pollen-like. Lots of frangipani sweetness, some solar notes, and very light coconut cream. There’s also something distinctly purple about it, and it’s got a subtle spicy-powdery quality. I’m curious how this smells on skin. Could see it being a great beach/vacation scent, or just a going out to eat somewhere fancy in nice weather one.

Edit: since receiving this decant, I've been wearing it layered with Demeter's Thunderstorm to bring out the vetiver and I just can't get enough. So very very nice! I was intrigued by the description in a fragrance subscription service site and saw the praise here, so I added it to my que and I am glad I did. Beachy in the way that MMM's Beach Walk is, heavy on the aquatic coconut and frangipani notes. This differs, though, in that it evolves into something richer and darker over time from the wood and vetiver. Whereas Beach Walk is a summer afternoon, this is an evening after the tourists have all gone home and the salt air turns chill. If it had the vaguest touch of smoke for the fire, it would be perfect. Still, very much worth a sniff if beachy scents are your thing.

This smells like the idea of the beach. Like sun lotion, creamy tropical flowers, vanilla, and a warm breeze. It is a nice warm weather scent that goes on a bit strong--but not overwhelming--and settles nicely. I was initially disappointed in this because the perfumers' description lead me to expect something more unique than "suntan lotion nostalgia." I did test MM Beach Walk around the same time I got this, and I see the similarity, but Jamaica is a little more sophisticated and less synthetic. I only have a scentbird vial of Jamaica, and I like it enough that I'll eventually use it up, but I prefer to wear balmy or breezy florals in summer, rather than "beachy impressions," so I definitely would not get a full bottle. The scent lasts 6-7 hours on my skin.

Jamaica is much sweeter than Bahamas. Bahamas is a bright morning, light, fresh, careless and simple. Jamaica is the night, the forbidden desires. It's sensual, alluring. I can't distinguish the floral notes. They are a little heady, powdery and slightly sweet. It's an invitation to relax, to enjoy the night leaving all your inhibitions behind. This is not the type of fragrance I would normally choose, but it's attractive. It has a suntan lotion vibe too.

Its giving sunscreen. I don't need to smell like sunscreen when I can just wear sunscreen. While wearing sunscreen- i wouldn't even add this on I wouldn't want to wear this on vacation or to the beach with my sunscreen, I would need more floral or fruit to add depth.

Nateeva website says: The addictive purple blush of the enchanting Lignum Vitae Flower, abundant with its luscious petals, casts its mesmerizing charm within this intoxicating fragrance which also features Juicy Mandarin, Plumeria Blossoms, Vanilla Crystals, Sheer Vetiver and White Musk. This smells like a very high end sun tan oil. The only thing that ruins it for me is that it has a pepper note. I wish they would have gone with ginger instead. Leans more feminine for sure but the spicy pepper makes it unisex if you’re a guy that can rock with this type of fragrance. I would love to smell this on a man. It smells similar to Bronze Goddess but at the same time it smells different especially in the dry down. I’m going to keep giving it a try with hopes I can get past the pepper which is usually an immediate deal breaker for me. I do like this fragrance and I recommend it for anyone who likes tropical beach fragrances and pepper notes. Edit: Ending up selling it off. If the pepper note was replaced with ginger I would have been all in!

This is really nice. The almost peachy solar top notes smell just like the top notes of Bronze Goddess (maybe a little less sharp/less citrus). However, this has something different and special going on in the base notes. The drydown is a familiar scent, but I can't pinpoint where I smelled it. It's slightly spicy and peppery with a bit of sea salt added in. I think it's the vetiver. It does evoke the image of a beach at sunset. I figured out what the drydown reminded me of. It smells like Mugler Womanity. If Mugler came out with Womanity dryer sheets, this is what it would smell like. If you don't like Womanity, I still think you'd like this though. It's a muted, sexier "come hither" skin-scent version as opposed to the BAM in your face I AM WOMAN scent of Womanity. The top notes smell almost exactly like Bronze Goddess though.

So when I smelled it for the first time, I felt it really reminded me of something but I couldn't put a finger on it. Then I saw reviews on here-and here it is-Beachwalk. While I can appreciate Beachwalk, I don't really like it that much because it has too much of that "salty water and air" which lot of people may like but its not my cup of tea. Nateeva Jamaica is not my thing because of it. Its basically sheer beachy floral, but I find it sort of synthetic. Just like I felt BB Beach was. I guess most of us have certain things associating with the beach and for me, its Hawaiian Tropics suntan lotion, sweet, maybe some coconut. This is more salty ocean water, smell of flowers, and it has almost ozonic quality. So its a no for me.

Sniffing from bottle, it’s coconut tropical. On skin, I get Vanilla mandarin with delicate tropical floral behind. Woody notes are purely in support. So very sheer on me, hard to detect. I have 5 sprays on the body mass and I can barely smell it. It does better on fabric, but it really isn’t strong, though it lingers all day at that barely-there level. Secondary impressions are of a licorice-tinted Palo Santo/guaiac wood with the mandarin still prevalent over all and that coconut vanilla tropical vacation feel. Really pretty and fairly layered for being so light. It does have a sunscreen vibe. I normally dislike sunscreen beachy scents but this is really nice.

The first thing I smelled upon application was coconut. I think that it was the combination of vanilla and plumeria on my skin. This one is very sweet on me, and it reminds me of a banana Runt with the balmy flowers, vanilla, coconut, and musk. The end remained creamy and yellow, and the dominating musk was slightly sharp. Over all, I enjoyed it. It wore for just under six hours, had a close silage, and didn't overpower in the humidity.

Received the free samples and this was the only stunner...but the tester was the one-application peel type. That's not enough for me to decide to drop $125. Jamaica is warm and tropical with a fresh vetiver that is dreamy. Wish I could try it out a few more times to check longevity. On a good note, the owners are super nice and donate proceeds to animals. If I thought Jamaica would last I'd purchase a bottle.

I LOVE this! If you like Bond 9 Fire Island, this is a bit softer & smoother , but MUCH better than BB Beach, that's just toooo synthetic to my nose. This...perfect!

Yes! This very much a darker Beachwalk. Where Beachwalk is warm and almost buttery, this is cooler and damper, greener and more earthy.

The vanilla and florals together is giving sunscreen. I do think it's similar to Beach Walk, but not a direct dupe.
