Saint Thomas

This perfume is absolutely gorgeous!! I was fortunate enough to be a lucky winner of a full bottle in a Fragrantica giveaway recently, and I selected this fragrance knowing that it was based on the frangipani flower. While I own many perfumes, Nateeva St. Thomas quickly rose to the top of my favorites list! Many of you may know the frangipani flower by its other name, plumeria. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautifully fragrant tropical flowers, and this perfume captures it perfectly. Although not mentioned, I feel like I can detect a slight undertone of coconut, perhaps in the topnotes, but it could just be my beachy mindset while wearing this. I will include additional notes from a previous Fragrantica article I read during the launch, since the above doesn't mention any others: "Bold and irrepressible, the exquisite aura of the Frangipani flower is accented with a shimmering salty, watery accord and opulent petally notes of Rose Absolute and Orange Flower Absolute—all balanced by an enveloping base of creamy Vanilla and sultry Musk." The perfumer/nose on this is said to be Laurent Le Guernec. Some of his more recognizable fragrances (to me) are Michael by Michael Kors, Christian La Croix Rouge, and many Bond No 9s. Longevity and sillage are both well above average with 8+ hours of wear being about the average time frame. The outer packaging is elegant, while also sturdy. The box is almost like a coffret with a lift off top that has a lovely message inside. The bottle is housed in a multi layered raised floral base that will make you want to keep the box, for sure. The bottle is a relatively heavy glass, with the bottom almost like a paperweight. Overall, this is a fine niche perfume that I am proud to own and would purchase again. I was surprised to know that it sells for $125 US for a 3.4 oz / 100 ml, which seems to be what many of the "designer" fragrances sell for at department stores these days. I personally would much rather wear something special and unique like this that doesn't smell like everyone else in the crowd. I encourage everyone to visit their website, as they are involved in animal charities that will make you feel better about buying and wearing this brand, as well.

I agree, it reminds me somewhat of bath and body works Butterfly Flower. I smell a honeysuckle type smell. Almost smells a little like banana, an unripe banana. All the Nateeva fragrances smell like natural florals. Great quality fragrances. Edit: In the dry down I get a musk similar to Egyptian musk. A tropical floral Egyptian musk. I do not get any coconut. I think it’s just the tropical vibes that people associate this with coconut. Many people associate the smell of coconut with me. Lol. I was obsessed with coconut for like a decade, starting back in the early 2000’s when it was hard to find coconut fragrances but then coconut made an explosion in the fragrance community. I’m really over coconut. Still love it but just can’t like I use to. So I am glad I do not get coconut in this. Now I am more into tropical white florals. I could wear this everyday in summer if I only had one fragrance to choose. This has become a summer staple for me, it even bumped Terracotta out of the top slot! I love this perfume!!

sweaterfreak has written a very inforamative review. I feel no need to repeat OR compete. I also love this beautiful scent. It will be worn often this summer! I was sent samples of each of the scents they have. Each one is seriously as good as the next. Trying them all was like being in a nursery and all the babies were mine! I love them all just as much as the other, and for different reasons. So many different personalities and features. How can you choose a favorite!? I can't! I have a decant of Jamaica. It's exactly as if you'd spent the day at the beach wearing Hawaiian Tropic dark tanning oil. St. Martin is very modern to my nose, and amazing! Dominican Republic would have been my first choice for a dislike. It's impossible! It's gorgeous! There are a few lake towns we like to visit during the summer...just quaint little day trips (dates). St. Thomas will be the lovely sunshine that brightens my day and makes everything exciting on each trip. I already want to wear anchors, white clothing, and go yacht club crashing! This is one lovely woman's scent. Jaws drop with this perfume. I'm sure your the first house to have your first six perfumes ALL be 5 star perfumes! Congratulations Nateeva!

Sweet musk and creamy plumeria. It starts off smelling like a breezeway in a Waikiki resort and finishes like clean laundry. Sillage is small but it's not quite a skin scent. Longevity is okay; it's not eternal and you may have to re-spray once or twice throughout the day. This is such a nostalgic and pretty scent to me, and definitely FBW!

Very sweet floral! Starts off like breezy jasmine, greens, and gardenia but dries down more ocean-y and subtle. I can smell a hint of coconut and something creamy and delicate after it settles. Smells like sitting in a beautiful garden drinking something fruity and sweet. A relief from the heat of the summer's day.

It's December for crying out loud! I do NOT want to wear this but....I gotta!

At first, I get strong gardenia and frangipani. Very vacation-like - I can imagine this is what an island smells like. The drydown smells lovely...very similar to Prada Candy Florale's drydown on my skin. This scent lasts a very long time on my skin. I purchased a sample decant. I doubt I'd buy a full bottle, but I'll definitely use the decant until it's gone!

Starts out with a fruity green note I associate with guava fruit. Smooths out to slightly powdery and creamy but still green and fruity frangipani, slightly salty, despite being very sweet. Very pretty.

Gives tropical vibe with its coconut notes. it doesn't project strongly, staying closer to the skin - mild silage. It has sweet undertone - but not heavy.

Opens with coconut white florals that is very pretty. On my skin, it dries down to a green, slightly fruity frangipani -- which totally appeals to me on paper but turns out quite strange. I usually love floral sunscreen-vibe perfumes (Terracotta, Bain de midi, Monoi by Yves Rocher, etc) but this is truly straight up fresh sunscreen on me and I don't really like this. EDIT: Sprayed on my jacket instead of skin and it's PRETTY! The drydown is creamy coconutty floral (freesia/peony?). Projects and stays on pretty well on clothes.

Really lovely. I just wish it lasted a bit longer with my skin chemistry :) it’s a very soft and delicate white floral. Almost a bit creamy, and yet still oceanic. It’s very well done.

I smell bananas. In the lightest airy-est creamiest most delightful way ever. This almost smells like Butterfly Flower from BBW. A beautiful summertime scent.
