Natori

Natori edp I know this may be blasphemous but to me this is like a better version of Nahema. Or at least, a version more agreeable with me. It’s got a touch of oriental depth to it that Nahema lacks that makes the classic vintage rose much more appealing to me. But they are otherwise quite similar, at least on my skin. I associate this perfume very strongly with Chanel No. 5 edt. Not because they smell similar (they don’t) but because they have the exact same vibe to me-cozy classy, perfect for autumn, restrained & sophisticated enough to wear to the office in cooler weather but sexy enough for a date night at the same time. Both make me picture the women of Mad Men, but if Mad Men took place in the 80s and 90s. I wore both a lot during a certain period of my life that I have very fond memories of which just adds to the cozy association/feeling but it was there before that, hence why I made these my autumn perfumes of choice for a while in the first place :) if you like this I strongly recommend trying the EDT concentration of Chanel No. 5, and vice versa. I was so happy to add this beauty back to my collection that I immediately ordered a back up bottle! Natori is a very underrated little perfume house, better known for their lingerie, but much like fellow high end lingerie designer Agent Provocateur, makes excellent, unique, and affordable perfumes as well. And in beautiful bottles too! Oh the bottle for this one is just STUNNING irl, it’s one of my favorite bottle designs along with the original Dior Poison. It’s weighty and smooth and cold to the touch like it’s made of solid polished precious stone. It looks like it holds a magic potion. It smells magical too! Sultry and intoxicating just like Dior Poison (which it happens to share more than a thing or two in common with-plummy seduction, imagine a Poison with rose and amber instead of tuberose and opoponax) though not quite as “poisonous” smelling lol. This is a quintessential floriental. It’s a perfect and definitive example of what a floriental perfume might smell like (and look like, because as I just covered the bottle design is PEAK), like if someone asked you to show them some floriental perfumes that define/perfectly exemplify the genre, this would be one of them, especially a 90s-2000s floriental if you wanna get real specific. That being said I don’t find it at all dated. Like her cousin Dior Poison, she is timeless. A total underrated legend this one is!

I became aware of this perfume after searching Fragrantica for my sister's favorite, Avon's Natori. I thought it strange there was another obscure perfume with the same name, and found myself re-visiting the page here, wondering how it smelled. It just looked so... exotic. Exotic, it is! And dark. Perhaps a little racy. Definitely a nighttime scent (if not a boudoir scent!). The scent and the bottle together seem suggestive, and definitely evoke female sexuality. The rose is soft and feminine - somehow understated despite being prominently featured. The plum, though, wow - very delicious, especially when paired with that sultry ylang-ylang! Lastly, the aldehydes really do provide a fizzy, effervescent quality. Mmm... smoldering! Now, it doesn't seem to last terribly long, but, it's a fantastic blend. Another plus is that it doesn't seem terribly popular or well-known, unlike many of those dark, sultry scents out there. So, it's a unique scent. It's also very affordable. However... The bottle design is the absolute worst I've encountered yet. I don't know where to start! First - the bottle leaks. I bought a 1.7oz bottle, and 25% was gone due to leaking during shipment, despite careful packaging. It appears to be leaking one of the small circular "windows" at the bottom of the bottle. It also leaks from the top. Perhaps this is my fault for trying so hard to get the cap off! I didn't know quite where to pull from, and I tried to be gentle.. but the cap is heavy, and fits tightly, causing an awkward tug-of-war when trying to decap. Sadly, there are yet more bottle complaints (sorry!): The cap seems dipped in some kind of paint to make it black. Because my bottle came leaking, the wetness compromised that black paint on the cap, leaving weird wrinkles and bubbles in the texture. After gently wiping my damp bottle with a tissue, some of the purple paint started coming off in small flecks. The paint on the cap is also flecking off. I've been as gentle as I could with this bottle, but no matter how cautious, I'm ruining it! Which is a shame because it's quite a lovely bottle design otherwise.

Hm, I was expecting fresh air kind of aldehydes, or coldness like in Galliano EDP, plus a sweet plum. What I got instead: very heavily musky rose and thick plum skin with a deep powdery feel from the amber & older style aldehydes (such a wide variety of scents one can get from aldeyhdes!). Again these are NOT fresh, cool air aldehydes but rather those thick soap bubble aldehydes that give it a rather strong, feminine, new-vintage vibe. After no less than 3 wearings (& lots of male compliments!) I have fallen totally head over heels for it. This is now frequently in my top 5 rotation. I get lots of rich plum, that vanilla-infused creamy 'jasmine' from popular scents lately but never gets sickly as many of them lately. Then, as the crowning gem of the scent, the most elegant soap aldehydes! But the vanilla richness and floral lean with plum keeps it from ever actually being soapy overall. It's hard to describe, but oh-so fluffy, sweet, and delightful. To me it is the perfect blend of a deep, rich sweet fruitiness (plum skin), a floral overtone with sweet vanilla, and a rich, heavy powdery sweet aldehydic mix. Nouveau vintage at its best! If you, like me, want to like vintage florals but found they never quite speak to you, this may be your dream come true. A perfect blend of old and new to me, like Boudoir (though they smell nothing alike!). Delish, and an all around pleaser. Love, love, love. Also it lasts OVER 12 HOURS! Natori EDP. Wow, does this start out wonderfully different. I love plum perfumes, (poison, 273, femme) but this turns in a different direction with the aldehydes,plums and rose. When you think of the floral oriental genre, it is dominated with white flowers, ylang, and carnation at the heart. Natori is special floral oriental because it uses rose and peony with the classic jasmine and ylang for the floral oriental identity. This is not generic by a stretch. Very feminine, bordering on delicate. The musky amber drydown is a delight for those that do not enjoy a spicy base but it is very voluptuous. Passion comparison: Passion is the incence kitchen sink (in a good way) I dont get a Passion feel at all. Natori is really well edited. Opium comparison: Not remotely close. Do not buy this looking for an Opium replacement. Poison comparison: Only the plum note. But there is no tuberose to give it the "poison" vibe. Very remote distant cousin at best. This is great for: -Someone that likes plum or peonies -floral oriental lovers that want a twist on tradition -a nouveau classic scent with memories of 80s/90s style done in an updated way -someone that wants to try the floral-oriental category but wants to start subtle, less dramatic traditional, than the strong, white floral route

First of all I want to thank all of Fragranticans who answered on my topic "Natori"-I was asking if I will like it,is a blind-bye-gift from a friend. I have to thank my friend too,of course for her choice! You were right,I not only like it,I love it!Is such a great perfume,nothing synthetic,nothing dated,nothing wrong and what a great bottle! At the first spray,I've been scared a bit. Something very similar to Femme/Rochas and Passion/E.Taylor hit me and I dislike much both of them. After a while,the fear disappeared and a warm lovely aroma started to develop. Maybe should I say,that's what I was expecting from Femme and Passion to smell like.(But they don't-on me of course.) On my skin,I detect 3 phases,the one better than the other. I can't pin point the notes,but all the stages are lovely. The perfume has on me a life around 6 hours and on clothes more.Is very uplifting and feminine and very vivid,don't stops to send me signs even at the end. I never believed I 've been so enthusiastic with Natori,but here I am! Is so balanced and calm that I don't think it will be someone who don't like it. Sad I have the 50ml bottle! I m gonna finish it in a month!

Bought a large tester totally on a whim....was looking for something else , saw a great deal on Natori on Ebay, quickly did my homework on it...and it was mine. Interestingly, that these spontaneous blind purchases are the most successful for me, even though you take double risk. First of all the bottle is absolutely gorgeous midnight blue, very elegant and beautiful in its simplicity. The perfume suits the bottle perfectly...very soft and elegant, slightly powdery, it has that velvet smooth quality. I don't get any aldehydes but I do get a lot of plum, rose and amber. It has great sillage, especially for a subtle fragrance. Very well made and makes a great addition to my collection. Edit: the longevity is extraordinary as well....3 hours later still going strong.

What a surprise! Beautiful & not overpowering perfume with almost medium longevity & gentle silage. Don't over-judge it on your first applications, give it some time to develop and to show its all beauty. Classic ,very elegant concoction with retro-notes that reminds some French vintage perfumes. Dark bloody velvety roses are dominate here surrounded with gentle aldehydes & patchouli , plums & amber are gentle as soft background. Later you'll detect also more powdery / cosmetic notes & cologne / chypre character in the base. Unique dark-violet glass bottle with heavy ceramic cap is a very nice addition in my collection. Suitable more for special occasions & theatre visits. Lovely creation for elegant & classy perfumes lovers.

I've just received this beauty after a blind buy, prompted by the many reviews here and a beautiful write up on Now Smell This. I am truly impressed, the bottle and the juice are both amazing. The fragrance opened with soft aldehydes, not too shrill thankfully. I am often wary of fragrances that have aldehydes as they can turn somewhat screechy on my skin. This perfume opens with a gentle fizziness, quickly settles into the rosy and plummy heart. I can sense the amber base all along, it gives it a lovely and warm backing, almost a radiant quality. Thank you all for convincing me to take the leap of faith to try this blind! I know that Natori and I are about to become very good friends thru this long and cold winter!

Natori is gorgeous. The opening strongly calls to mind Chanel No. 22 with fatty, soap bubble aldehydes and ylang ylang. A fruity plum accord (almost peachy) with citrusy undertones joins with a demure rose note and a resinous amber to cut through the thick opening, forming a rich and complex heart that goes on for hours. The drydown reminds me a lot of aldehydic fruity chypres on the market like Yves Saint Laurent's Y and Chanel's 31 Rue Cambon but with its own slight variation on the theme. Natori smells, wears and evolves like a vintage fragrance. It is a full bodied, powdery, boudior scent with a noticable chypre bone structure and heritage. I'm amazed this scent was created in 2009.

The idea of this feeling and wearing like "a lingerie of scent" is absolutely apt. Its smell reminds one of a vintage frag, but isn't. It wears like one, but isn't. It is amazingly fragrant and BEAUTIFUL, but it is modern. She only lasts for about 5 hours, is the only drawback. It is something I have tested everywhere, and most people can't smell it unless they are close; a very good thing for when you don't need/want to project, but still need to get that feeling of opulence and femininity. When I've had a stressful day, I like to relax with a bath, a cup of tea, a good book, and Natori. Everything about this is soft and comforting-even the bottle, with its rounded contours, provides sensory pleasure. A deep, velvety rose combined with soft purple plum fading to a musk drydown. While the projection is rather strong when first sprayed, it is gone without a trace several hours later. To me, Natori is quite similar to Narciso Rodriguez for Her, but at a much lower cost. The only thing I dislike about this fragrance is the sprayer-it is weak and makes me feel it is at immanent risk of dying.

This is an elegant scent, reminiscent of glamorous Hollywood heroines from eras past. It is a very grown up scent, with hints of ripened plum and fragrant peony, mingling with the darkness of patchouli, and the sensuality that musk brings. It is a retro scent that takes me back to what the ladies wore when I was growing up, and ladies wore dresses, and were softer spoken than the men that opened their doors. It was a different time, before we all started wearing our dessert foods as perfume scents. If you like retro, this one will take you back to yesterdays of the long gone past.

OMG!!! Sooo impresive! I got this beauty in a wonderful swap and immediately fell inlove! So classy, elegant, soft and feminine. The bottle is amazing! Heavy cap, black elegant body... WOW! I don't understand why i didn't buy it untill now?? Maybe because the price was cheap i thought that the bottle and the juice will be the same?? Well, here is a leason for me, not to judge the book by it's cover! This perfume might be cheap and can not even compare it's price to the prices of the niche perfumes i purchased lately.. but it's amazing!! Pure love in a magic bottle!

The initial spray does smell a bit dated, however it dries down quickly into something beautiful. I get plenty of the plum, which is apparently one of my favorite notes in perfume these days. Something in this turns into a creamy, nutty goodness on my skin. No clue what note I am sensing, as there are no nuts listed in the composition. All the other notes are beautifully blended; none overwhelms the others. I wouldn't have picked out patchouli, rose, or jasmine had I not read the notes. Whatever. It is gorgeous. It stays close to the skin, but last forever.

this opens smelling like a yellow floral and fruits, it does bring plum to mind and the bottle color and design really fits the mood of the scent. this stuff is pretty strong and kind of bold, it's reminding me of some 80s or 90s scent that i can't quite place. it's got a powderiness and smoky depth to it, due to the amber. it smells very "womanly" to me. i don't like to stereotype, but that's what it brings to mind. it is not a candy sweet or fresh scent but is rather a deep, dark floral. very opulent.

Wow, I am enjoying this a lot. Didn't think I would as I'm more of a fruity/gourmand lover. The dry down is just heavenly. At first spray, I was still skeptical. I thought it smelled a bit like an 80's perfume I used to play with as a kid. But then it dried and changed into a softer, powdery, very attractive scent. I can't stop smelling my wrists lol This is vintagy alright, but very wearable IMO even for people who don't usually go for this type of fragrance.

I enjoy plum scents, and this takes a distinct spin with the aldehydes, plums, and roses. Natori is a unique floral oriental fragrance since it combines rose and peony with the traditional jasmine and ylang. It's quite feminine, with a rush of aldehydes up front and centre that lingers over a rich plummy amber. She's a daring combination of jasmine, ylang ylang, amber, blueberry, aldehydes, and old-school elegance. Natori is gorgeous

For me, this smells close enough to the old and better formula of Opium. If you miss that, this is good replacement. It isn't as powerful and the longevity isn't as great, but it's cheaper and more tolerable. Plus, the bottle is gorgeous. I have the 3.4 oz and it's pretty heavy. The bottle in itself makes a great designer piece. It smells so sexy and exotic for the night. I give this a 4/5 stars.

Jeepers what a sensational perfume! Gorgeous! Lovely lovely lovely!! Rich fruity roses, passionate plum.....all so juicy....rich and smooth amber, soft and warm; delicate and gentle patchouli...... mmmmmmm..... oriental and sensual....exotic. Beautiful. And a sensational bottle and colour too. Such a rich royal purple, and charmingly voluptuous shape. All fabulous. A wonderful, thrilling thing.

I have owned a tiny bottle of Natori for years and never opened it. I decided to wear it to bed after reading the reviews. I love the old school vibe I'm getting from the Rose and aldehydes. And the plum is just right. It sits close on my skin and I did have to reapply when I woke up this morning. But this is definitely a keeper for me. I can't stop smelling my wrist. The bottle is a beauty.

This is a fragrance for the center of your vanity. Remember in old black and white movies when the leading lady would sit elegantly upon her vanity bench and apply toiletries? Well, Natori is the fragrance she was applying for the final touch. Natori is THE throwback fragrance. She's a bold mix of jasmine, ylang ylang, amber, blueberry, aldehydes and old school glamour.

Jammy plum, aldehydic roses, and a tangy ylang are the most dominant to my nose, very beautiful and harmonious. Wears beautifully in warm weather (spring, summer, early autumn), loses its spark in the cold. Great sillage, can work in intimate settings too. Perfect addition to any collection.

This has much of the notes that I love...it does have a vintage vibe at the initial spritz, but as time goes on, it warms to a soft sensual plumy musk with a touch of rose. And as the end nears, it finishes off with amber. The only thing is that I wish the scent lasted longer....

It's all been said, & very well. Deep intoxicating Plum, purple, sugary, dense but never overpowering.The Patchouli is delicate, so don't be put off if you're not a lover, the Amber comes through beautifully. Not a powerhouse, but worth a try, you may like it as much as I do.

I adore this perfume. But after running out a lovely friend bought me 3 bottles as a gift and they're NOT the same at all. It smells of alcohol and nothing like the soft allure of my previous bottle. I wish I knew why or where to get a bottle like I had. It was heaven!

This is a new version of the earlier perfume... updated version released in 2009. My daughter and I love Coco Mademoiselle, but are switching to this to give ourselves something different for awhile. The dry down is gorgeous. Really gorgeous.

OMG! This is such a beautiful scent; musky, full of plum, roses & gorgeous patchouli. After a couple of hours you're left with a gorgeous amber seductive smell. It's a very elegant scent.

Natori doesn't look like something launched in 2009.it looks like something from glorious past days First it's flacon caught my eyes,I tried it and didn't like it but when I reached home I was mesmeriesd by velvety dark purple scent on my skin. I went back and bought a 1.7oz.I didn't purchase bigger bottle though it was cheap because 50mil bottle looked cute,also I thought it's not my type and 100mil would be too much for me I like it's appearance.unique and easy to hold bottle Something in it's scent makes me remember hermes rouge.similar type of powdery rose,ylang ylang and amber but it's not a heavy powerhouse as hermes rouge.there's a non juicy plum note in it that sometimes comes to the front and sometimes fades.aldehydes are there but not too strong or soapy.they just give a fizz to the blend which I find intresting.this plum,aldehyde combo appears as red wine to me in a special way.boozy but not wet.it reminds me winey note in Armani si intense.but this plummy,boozy fizzy thing appears just in first minutes of application and just sometimes I believe natori needs couple of wearings to show all it's beauty It's subtleness makes it easy to wear and finding such a sensual,rich,voluptous,elegant and sophisticated scent which is also gentle and wearable and has a budget friendly price tag as a bonus isn't easy.it's mostly a powdery,ambery floral on my skin and there's just a hint of plum,patchouli and aldehydes to make it more charming,deeper and more complex By the way don't forget to give it enough time to settle.it's opening may seem too much powdery or oldish but it develops to a warm,gourgeous velvety floral wrapped by deep base of honey like,dark amber I can't comment on it's longevity and sillage yet,as a lot of fragrances seem weak to me at first but often in such cases I find that it was my nose's fault so I won't judge it's projection and lasting power now As a conclusion,I'm glad to have it as a part of my collection.now I think buying a bigger bottle would be a better idea since it's dtydown is oh so lovely but I agree it's a mature scent.I believe natori worthes much more than it's price tag speacially If longevity and sillage show to be satisfying I believe one can use natori in different circumstances.it can make a good office perfume as it's gentle and stays close to skin,also has a formal vibe.it smells expensive and is totally suitable for a sophisticated,successful business lady.natori is also a good choice for evening,night arrangements such as going to a fancy restaurant, theatre,cinema etc as it won't suffocate people sitting near you and is elegant at the same time.it's even sensual,intimate,inviting and charming enough for a date,probably a first date All in all if you love retro fragrances but you can't go for them because you find them too much of a good thing and too strong for most modern life's situations,then you have to try natori.don't look for anything revolutionary in satori.it's too soft to really surprise and amaze you but that's also it's good point.being mature and glorious in the most subtle and humble way possible ❤❤❤❤ Edit: Last night was my third wear and I have to report that unfortunately lasting power doesn't exceed two hours.sillage is almost soft too so there won't be a lot people who notice your perfume and it's a pity Last night it smelled a bit different.all I could smell was plush plum and soft scent of a flower bouquet.rose,ylangylang,and other flowers(including 7omething like orchid?!) with a hint of dusty powder(iris root?)and amber warmth.I couldn't detect any aldehyde,patchouli ,musk or anything retro.a simple scent but also very beautiful and soft.I just wish it was stronger I have to try layering it with a spray of my other plummy powdery perfume,marc Jacobs decadence which is unlike natori very strong and bold hoping to enhance natory's strength.I just wish that one's woodiness not to cover all the floral beauty of natoriq

Natori makes gorgeous lingerie, so when I saw a feature in W magazine a few years ago in which Josie Natori was discussing her soon-to-be launched perfume, my interest was already piqued. As I learned that she favors perfumes such as Bal à Versailles and Joy, I became even more interested... When the bottle appeared at various sites, I was even more intrigued, but then something funny happened: I learned that Natori was subsumed under Parlux, and suddenly I lost any interest in pursuing the perfume further. Obviously I have developed a deep-seated prejudice against Parlux and figured that Josie had made the bad move of latching her perfume onto a pretty disreputable juice factory, her superlative tastes and aesthetic sense notwithstanding. After reading many reviews of this perfume I slowly forgot why I had been deterred from picking up a bottle blind and when I saw a small bottle online for a fraction of MSRP, I decided to give it a try because the price was a good one even for the bottle alone. To my pleasant surprise, Natori is a new old lady perfume! It offers a blast of aldehydes up front and center, which then linger atop a deep plummy amber reminiscent of Prada Amber. Imagine Prada Amber with aldehydes at the opening. That is pretty much my experience of Natori. Well, I'm always up for aldehydes, and I have come to appreciate Prada Amber, so in the end I find that Parlux has proven me wrong: they produced a decent perfume. A word about the bottle: the cap may well be my favorite of all time. Weighty like a smooth stone over which water has flowed for centuries. The color is dark charcoal matte. The bottle is made of surprisingly light glass to the touch, but from a distance it looks great, even though the cap is disproportionately heavy to the vessel. Maybe I'll end up acquiring the larger bottle just to see if the cap matches better on that one. I'm a bit curious, actually whether they may have used the same cap for both the 50ml and the 100ml, so it might look very nice indeed on the latter. There is an opening in the side of the bottle, which allows one to look through the liquid and see the sprayer tube. That's a nice aesthetic touch, but because it lets light in, the perfume is not protected, so in order to put this one on display, I'll have to drain it. And I just may do that!

I came to Natori after hearing it had a vintage feel, which it does and beautifully so without feeling old, dusty, or out of date. For me, it opens with a strong plummy note and a moderate dose of aldehydes. After this short period, the notes become less distinguishable and settle in to an almost linear fragrance. The presence of rose is there, but it is not a rose perfume. In the end, Natori is a semi-soft, tad dry and powdery scent with a touch of smokiness. The amber keeps it grounded. Looking at the ingredients you'd expect a loud chypre, but Natori is that more subdued of girls along for the ride in a gaggle of raucous females that have dressed her up and dragged her out for the night, a lovely bystander to their antics. I ordered a full bottle immediately. Longevity - 5 hours when dabbed, I hope the parfum spray does better Projection - stayed close Wear - I would not hesitate to go day-to-evening with this one, for vintage lovers and those who like a bit more weight to their scent Edit: Yes! The parfum spray did not disappoint. Longevity and projection is much better. 3 sprays was way too much. Lucky me, it will last longer.

Rose and patchouli are usually not so much my thing, but I really like Natori. It is a very pleasant fragrance, once it unfolds its beauty on my skin. Unfortunately it fades away too fast. Merely an hour after I applied it I need to basically bury my face into my wrist to detect a slight remainder of its glory. That is just too short of a time. So I will spray the heck out of it, and when it's gone it will go into the section of "perfumes I had" and not be re-purchased. There are way more fragrances out there that I like as much if not even better with greater staying power. The only time that I deal with a frag that has poor staying power is when I love the scent so much that I would give it an A or better yet an A+, like my beloved Jil Sander Style Pastels Soft Yellow for example. But even that weakling lasts a good 2-3 hours and is on me absolutely divine. With my body chemistry the scent of Natori is more a B to B-. So it's nice, but not nice enough.

Natori opens with a blast of aldehydes and dewy pink roses, at this point reminds me of the crunchy "green" rose found in Nahema extrait. Maybe it's the lack of powdery notes but the opening feels like a vintage inspired but still contemporary proper perfumey perfume. The heart is my favourite part as the dominant moderately sweet ripe plum goes very nicely with the rose and the milder ylang ylang. The drydown is less distinctive than the previous stages but probably the most crowd pleasing, featuring basically an amber-musk skin scent which is a tad sweet and slightly powdery. Projection is strong at first but fades rapidly as the heart wears off. Longevity around 5 hours. I truly find it a beautiful fragrance - again, especially juicy plum part is wonderful - but so far I'm content with a hefty decant.

To my lovely swap partner thank you! I have seen this one but have never had the chance to try until now. Wow Natori is a lovely fragrance. I think at first I was not quite sure what I was smelling or thinking about it for that matter. But after spraying on my wrist and allowing it to settle in, this is a beauty. Soft, gentle yet powerful scent. Not like today's fragrances. Natori is not necessarily vintage or dated smelling but it does not smell 2016. To me this is good as I don't care for all the typical smelling scents on the market these days, yet I don't want to smell dated either. This one is perfect and has a hint of powder in the dry down. I think it is good for 30+ not sure if the younger crowd would dig it. Anyhow great perfume so glad to have it.

I'm wearing this whilst drinking a light pink demi sec in my sunny back garden on a Sunday. It's pleasant, comforting, relaxing and on me smells like a lovely skinscent; barely detectable in the light breeze. I could also imagine spraying it on my pillow. I'm not normally a fan of rose or amber however the subtle patchouli renders it pleasant overall. It's almost disappeared within an hour. In it's opening moments it hints of a modern interpretation that reminiscent of fragrances long gone in the same way as, say, 31 Rue Cambon, however this floats away in a cloud of vapour within seconds. I imagine having a Turkish rose coffee on a balmy day, a slight breeze with distant creamy hint of biscuits buttery jasmine and a hint of warmed suncream on my skin.

I love this slightly boozy plum and rose scent. The aldehydes are very polite and adds a little mote of saltiness that blends well with the delicate plum note. The main focus in this fragrance is on the rose which is soft and velvety. The patchouli is creamy and with the amber it leaves a sweet little trail many hours after applying. Natori is not as weak as previous reviews might make you think, but still a very good choice for the office. Especially when you want something with a sensual projection. The sillage isn't huge but its there and it last from morning to late afternoon. Eventhough I'm downsizing my wardrobe almost violently, Natori is definately a keeper. And the heavy glass bottle with the ceramic lid is a stunner on your dressing table ;)

There isn't much I can add to the reviews for Natori which opens with plum, amber and aldehydes that make the top notes sparkle. I don't smell the rose note in the opening that many people mentioned but I really notice peony in the floral heart which still possesses an effervescent quality. On me, the luscious plum note carries right through to the dry down which I really enjoy. My only complaint is that it's gone in an hour, although I can still smell it on my clothes. Luckily, Natori is fairly inexpensive now so I can reapply to my hearts content. It is a subtle feminine fragrance with minimal sillage and an old fashioned vibe.

Another classic "skin chemistry" scent. On me it opens immediately into a nice amber then in a few minutes the roses come up, followed quickly by the plum. Eventually the musk and patchouli tiptoe in but the aldehydes haven't shown up after several hours. I don't think this is a particularly special oriental floral but it is nice and reasonable for the price. My problem with it is that my more favored florientals keep shouldering it aside. When I first sprayed this on I didn’t like it because it smelled like ET Passion and I don’t like that fragrance. After just a few seconds the fragrance calms down and I liked it but after an hour the scent was almost completely gone! The fragrance is really nice but has no staying power and I got the edp. A soft powder and sweet rosy floral with a touch of warmth to it. Too bad it doesn’t last longer because that’s what keeps it from being a love for me.

I do not love the opening as it is a bit too heavy on the Aldehydes synthetic scent and I do not get much plum or rose. The base settles nicely and the different flowers peek out of it. Pros: this wears well and dries down into a medium inoffensive oriental floral. I wear this casually in cooler weather. cons for me: It is not powdery and sadly I do not get a lot of Yang-Lang in the middle. I prefer it for daywear, it is a good work scent.

This is expensive, understated lingerie in a bottle. A ripe plum that lingers but never cloys. A warm modern rose that whispers. I have to invite you in before you can experience my deliciousness, my subtle sensuality and the enchantment of my complex amber afterglow. ,,,stays close and this barely lasts 2 hours on me but what a lovely 2 hours it is! I think Natori has created the perfect fragrance to compliment their lingerie. well done!

I like this one quite well. It's a dry, dusty, powdery, almost chalky, dark rose/plum/aldehyde, with a bit of peripheral flowers besides. Unfortunately, it has poor longevity and it doesn't do anything for me that Histoires de Parfums' Moulin Rouge can't. It has more going on than Natori does, and it lasts well. Natori does smell really good; it's just more understated, and a bit more dry-smelling, than I prefer my perfumes to be.

NATORI is a Fragrance of the 2000's that has a 70's soul...It's for those of us who appreciate a fragrance with that "perfumey" vibe, Definitely has that Vintage Lipstick scent, It's to My nose kind of like a Mix of Dior's POISON and CHANEL'S Coco NOIR, Two fragrances That I LOVE, however with Natori it results in a Fragrance that I JUST Like.

Reading the notes surprised me, since it smells like vanilla, chocolate and coffee on me. Then the amber develops, but the sweetness remains. It stays on me for a long time. I woke up in the morning and I still smell faint sweetness and amber from wearing it yesterday. After wearing it for two days, I started to smell the floral notes too.

This one is nothing special and pricey, I received a sample yesterday and when I applied it to my skin I was WOW very nice, I could smell the peony, musk and the plum, but never amber and patchouli and after a while it becomes dull and disappears really fast, no lasting power at all. I still like it though, but I won’t buy it.

It even smells purple, no doubt due to the plum. I like it but don't love it. It's effervescent plum and flowers, but doesn't have enough backbone or personality for my liking....sillage is moderate and longevity is around 2-3 hours. I bought it out of curiousity, but I have no regrets, I will wear this from time to time.

What a pretty fragrance. Soft, not a punch you in the face at first application type fragrance. Graceful is a great way of describing it. I could smell the rose and peony. Faded quickly though. It's a scent I'd readily wear if gifted, but not necessarily something I'd rush out to buy.

Indeed the perfect accompaniment to Natori lingerie..a sheer veil of aldehydes with whispering rose and ripe plum for a perfect autumn day. An incredibly sexy, vintage veil of fragrance that seemingly disappears but then I catch little whiffs of scent throughout the day!
