Biografia

Biografia Masculino (which means, in English, Biography for Men) was launched in 1994 and became, over the years, a classic of the Brazilian perfumery, among the ten best-selling fragrances made by Brazilian companies for a few years in a row. It has, in its composition, notes of bergamot, lemon, and verbena, in the output. The body of the fragrance combines notes of lavender, Lily of the Valley and nutmeg, while the base carries notes of sandalwood, vetiver, oakmoss, and cedar. It is considered a woody fragrance but turns out to be a beautiful fougère-aromatic, at least on my skin. I've read numerous reports of users who describe it as citric, in a general manner. When I spray it on my body, I feel a real lump of herbs. The verbena, with its cleansing nuances, joins the nutmeg and the scent of woods, giving me the impression of a fragrance full of herbal and aromatic tones, like Rosemary and Mint, for example. It's refreshing, masculine and timeless! Unfortunately, some reformulation must have occurred since its launch, because the fragrance does not have the same durability as before. I remember the vintage version (a term applicable in this case, since the original has more than 20 years) and I understand that the fragrance has not changed too much and still has a lot of quality. But the projection lasts one hour maximum and the durability is median, not passing of 5 hours on the skin. In 2013, the Natura brand created new packaging for the Biografia line, incorporating a more modern identity. The bottle became prettier, bringing a black belt around (which conveys the impression of being made of metal) and the inscription "sign your history" engraved on the metal part of the neck. I just think the spray could be better because it seems fragile, but it does not compromise the presentation. Biografia Masculino is a scent of great versatility and looks like it was designed for the Brazilian man because it is refreshing and stylish at the same time. Hence the reason for its success.

Not woody at all, remains citric and sweet from lemon verbena FLOWERS! Then you recognize sandalwood and cedar scents. Nutmeg note is cloying. Very similar to Acqua di Gio.
