It was released in 2010 in another joint creation, this time involving Natura’s perfumer Verônica Kato and Givaudan’s perfumer Marion Costero, who has won awards in the industry and signs various fragrances for houses such as O Boticário, Jequiti and, of course, Natura. Essencial Exclusivo Masculino is a woody-aromatic that, on the skin, reveals itself much more as an oriental-aromatic, full of presence and sensuality. Today, it is not considered an innovative cologne. But when it was released, it came together with others "ballad scents”, a Brazilian term that came to represent fragrances that, until then, were called as nocturnal, sensual or ideal for dating. Its composition includes notes of cardamom, cognac, apple, ginger, basil, geranium, artemisia, lavender, pink pepper, cedar, guaiac wood, mosses and patchouli. In particular, I do not think it resembles the original version. Being the first flanker released, 15 years later, this is a downside. But the truth is that the fragrance impresses! It is one of those rare cases in which Natura launches a bomb in order to fight against competition without mercy. On my skin, the work comes down to the mix of cognac and apple, which lasts for all evolution and goes toward the spicy facets of geranium and the smoked facets of guaiac wood. The patchouli conveys a sweetness that makes you believe, after a few hours, that the fragrance contains tonka bean notes. Those who enjoy fragrances with succulent notes of apple mixed with alcohol or gourmand nuances, have everything to like this scent. The projection is great and the lasting reaches ten hours. The bottle follows the visual identity of the line, all in black, reinforcing the nightly appeal. In fact, if the name was Essencial Noite Masculino (as happened with Sintonia Noite – “noite” means night, in Portuguese), I think it would be more coherent. To finish, when I compare this fragrance to the rest of the line, I think something does not fit. The impression I have is that the product gained its own life during the packaging, and decided that it wanted to be part of the Essencial family.

This is perfect for any night time occasion. It's sweet, boozy & spicy...Fragrance that will stand out. While everyone is wearing Sauvage By Christian Dior, The One, etc... You'll smell different, stand out, imo smells way better than everyone else in the surrounding area. When i finish this bottle, i'll get another one asap. I smelled this all night, it lasted 10 plus hours... You walked by anyone, you got them to turn there head. Maybe even start a conversation, because of the scent. It's a great wing-man fragrance. Over all, get a sample and see what i mean. I used five sprays...both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest. Will I buy this again?...Yes. #1190 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is kind of reminiscent of Nishane "Ani X" to my nose, but not more than maybe 70%. The Nishane makes the same sort of impression but fruitier. But it definitely has the same "Essencial" vibe as most of the rest of the lineup. Fruity, green more floral than I expected, but still comfortably masculine, suitable for the office or casual day wear in warm weather. Doesn't strike me as particularly sexy, but safe grab in the morning that will offend no one. Nice and clean, like you just showered with VO5 "3-in-1 Fresh Energy for Men." This is good quality stuff like nearly all Natura EDPs, and in expensive at $47 on PureBrasil.com. A successful blind buy for me.

Esse foi meu primeiro perfume, na época achava ele perfeito, até eu conhecer outros perfumes. Ele é intoxicante, no bom e mal sentido, cheirando no borrifador é incrível, mas na hora de usar me incomoda um pouco, se torna enjoativo. Acho que ele só serve bem para encontros e saídas noturnas, e nessas ocasiões têm perfumes melhores. Nas demais ocasiões ele é muito chamativo e pode te deixar desconfortável se você for uma pessoa discreta. Quem marcou que parece o Pure Malt está completamente louco, não tem absolutamente nada a ver, são dois perfumes doces e alcoólicos, mas seria a mesma coisa que dizer que sorvete de morango e açaí são parecidos por serem doces e gelados.
