Essencial Mirra

Almost a dead-ringer for By Kilian's Single Malt! This is excellent, especially for the price. On my skin I absolutely get a boatload of fruity plum in the opening as well as soft spices. This slowly evolves into a warm, ambery, "golden" (to quote another reviewer) base with a little bit of a granular texture, I'm assuming from the wheat/carrot/tobacco notes. It is definitely a niche scent profile, but I do disagree that this is a challenging fragrance, especially if you have smelt any niche ambers or boozy scents. But for a designer? Absolutely. The quality is evident. As I mentioned in my review about Essencial Oud, what I really like about this is that the blend smells natural and nothing about it is assaulting my nose; it's smooth and silky and warm and smells great in the cold mountain air of La Paz, where I'm currently at. I would say that from my tester sample the scent is slightly thin; I wish there was some more robustness from the myrrh and tobacco. However, this could just be the sample. The scent is so affordable that I'll be buying both it and Essencial Oud soon and updating with my bottle review. Overall, though, this is just great. If you like niche ambery/boozy/tobacco/resinous scents and want something on the cheap, or want something that will remind you of Single Malt, this is a fantastic option, batting in the same league as Bentley For Men Intense and Red Tobacco but, to my nose, smells even higher quality and less synthetic. 8/10

#1143 in my "Tour de Fragrance" The opening of this fragrance is nice enough (pepper, incense, balsam, amber). Doesn't impress all that much at first. But as it dries down, projects, and as the day goes byI tended to keep sniffing my skin for a hit of this scent. Contrary to the "reminds me of" voters this has no resemblance of any sort to Tom Ford "Tobacco Oud." It's much more English Laundry "Windsor." Overall, like most scents with a plethora of notes, it's a hard scent to characterize except to say it's very spicy, pleasant, wearable and likeable, something you'll love smelling on your skin. So it's a successful blind buy for me and I'll be acquiring and reviewing more EDPs of this fragrance line. Versatile for any wear. Inoffensive in any setting. Very reasonably priced at $42 on PureBrasil.com. UPDATE: On a whim I layered this scent with Natura's "Homem Aromaticos" and the result is very nice! Might be a ritual for me!

If it were from an expensive French house it will be the hype of latest years for sure. Incredible smell. Well rounded, very rich but subtle and sweet tobacco with chocolate and vanilla notes. At the middle ambar and balsamic notes are always there. I can't tell the middle notes and citrus, but is an incredible fragrance for the price. EDIT: I started to find a little bit of minty scent and a leathery note that reminds me a lot to CH Man. Try it without doubt if you can.

Simplesmente excepcional, marcante, forte, amadeirado, levemente adicicado na minha opinião. Dias frescos e noite, achei bem baladeiro. Pelo preço é sem dúvidas uma das se não a melhor opção da natura, encontrei ele por 130 original. Sem palavras para esse perfume, fixação excelente, tomei banho ainda estava, dormi, acordei no outro dia e ainda conseguia sentia bem pouquinho dele o que é MUITO impressionante, e exala que é uma beleza deixa um rastro delicioso.

Starts boozy without any citric notes, maybe some cardamom, or black pepper; it then flattens heading the tonka bean/tolu balsam way - this is where I can get "some" myrrh, just a hint at first, after some minutes it becomes prominent; the myrrh notes ends up blended with those of tobacco leaves I cannot avoid the feeling that this is quite in the vein of Homem Tato and Homem Dom; to be clear, I get from these three the feeling of prominent gourmand-chocolate-like notes that can be analogous to those of pipe tobacco; however, in the case of Mirra, it sets itself apart because of the base notes. Regardless of the myrrh/tobacco combo, it can be redundant if you have Homem Dom or Homem Tato (Homem Tato can be considered as Homem Dom's light version). Of course, this does not diminish its (perceived) quality, above par for its price, as it happens with all the offerings of the house. I do not know how it compares to niche alternatives; from my experience, many of these make huge efforts to ensure consumers get the longevity and sillage expected after hefty prices. In this sense, Mirra (as well as many others by Natura) delivers in these fields for a very affordable price, with the benefit the blend does not feel unbalanced, as it happens in somr offerings currently sold for more than USD 100.

Well this fragrance is a good choice for any collector.... Start off with a fresh aromatic notes i really smelt the pepper and carrot mixed that brings me the iris orris sensation, then comes to up a resinous-balsamic notes the myrrh is very predominant in the background you find the tobacco and amber bring us the woody-sweet touch, at the end this is a balsamic-woody fragrance very strong and excelent for the price. For me is an unique scent, yeah sometimes could reminds me to another flanquer of the line essencial but this has his own way. in fact: Very masculine, mature and special for occasions fragrance. Projection: 2 hours Duration: 8+ hours Use: Special (Cold weather) Age: 30+ Tpi: Mid age man in a business conference in winter. Alternatives: Is an incredible option for 35USD unique an strong, what other thing could u get? *tpi - type of person i imagine wearing it.

Smells almost exactly like a bowl of shredded wheat cereal. Creamy and sweet. Definitely NOT blind buy safe. I blind bought it but luckily I was a fan of the structure of this fragrance. However, it will not be to everyone's liking. I get alot of vanilla / wheat / amber and that's about it. Doesn't transform much on my skin and stays pretty linear but around the 30min mark I start to get more of that carrot note oddly enough. I give it an 8 / 10 for the scent itself. Longevity is average, nothing crazy here. I get about 6hrs typically. Sample (if you can) before you buy!

This is another one of Natura's extremely sweet male fragrances. However, out of the "Essencial" line, this is my favorite. It's definetly a syrupy amber, but it's warm, golden. It opens up already very sweet and ambery, then we get these thick, almost earthy notes that are quite special. I suppose it's the many resins involved. It develops a waxy, lipsticky quality that gives maturity to the composition. The dry down lasts forever and is a little more common; I just get amber. I find it interesting because it's not a gourmand, wich is the rule for sweet male fragrances is Brazil. Brands go after the "1 million" teenage fruity vanillic profile that is very popular here. Essencial Mirra is not one of those. It's a very resinous, rich, decadent amber. The word "golden" keeps coming to mind.

Sacred, solemn, esoteric... alongside Essencial Oud, the best perfume from Natura. It opens on my skin with a very strong myrrh, alongside tobacco and elemi, which gives it a slightly lemony resinous air, combined with black pepper and a spicy sweetness of cardamom. From the heart notes, I sense a slight fruity plum, along with a somewhat dry and vegetal tone, which I believe comes from wheat and carrot, very subtle. The perfume is basically the combination of the base notes, especially myrrh, tobacco, and amber, with elemi, which lightens the weight of the base a bit, leaving the fragrance very subtly "fresh," but with a medicinal freshness that doesn't make it light or versatile at all. The other balsams from the base join patchouli and labdanum, reinforcing the somewhat syrupy medicinal tone and giving the base a slightly earthy feel. Vanilla gives it a balanced sweetness, along with myrrh and tobacco, but it's very subtle and hardly noticeable. It's a dense, closed, mysterious, dark, and obscure perfume. It's the scent of a mass inside a medieval cathedral. I understand the comparisons with Jubilation XXV, but I prefer Essencial, which is less fruity, animalic, and doesn't have that bothersome propolis smell. Essencial is more sober and woody, in my humble opinion. It's a bargain for what it delivers, but it won't please everyone. The performance is excellent on my skin, projecting intensely for 2.5 hours and lasting at least around 10 hours.
