Flor do Luar

The perfume Ekos Flor do Luar was launched in May 2016 and had, as a concept, to reveal the essence and mystery of the planet's richest garden - the Amazon. This time, the inspiration came from the Flor do Luar (Moonlight Flower), which can be found on the banks of the River Negro, more specifically, in the Anavilhanas archipelago. The Amazon Moonlight Flower (Selenicereus Wittii) is found along the Rivers of dark waters, in the flood forests of the Amazon. And like the others of the same genre, its perfume is sensual, mysterious and intoxicating. Ekos Flor do Luar features notes of lemon, mandarin and green notes, in the output; Gardenia, jasmine, orchid, rose, violet and essential oils of pataqueira and priprioca, in the body; Cedar, tonka bean, musk, sandalwood, moss and copaiba oil, in the base. On the skin, it behaves like an Eau de Parfum fragrance (in Brazil, Deo Parfum). In fact, I understand the reason for being within the Ekos line, which works with essential oils patented by the company and obtained from the natural parts of our Country. But do not be fooled, because Ekos Flor do Luar is a bold floral, which is mutant and admirable. When touches the skin, the floral bouquet is violent and seductive, with a certain nocturnal aspect. The dark side of the forest, for those who are on the banks of the river and lurking for the opening of that flower is transported into the bottle. Who sees the notes of the composition, imagines one thing and finds another. On my skin, at least, I did not feel the lemon nor the mandarin. Over time, it seems that the flowers have been dipped in vanilla, since a sweetness remains for as long as the fragrance exudes. Both the gardenia and the jasmine are fantastic in this fragrance. The pataqueira, much used in smelled baths, fuses to the priprioca (relative of the papyrus) with its woody and sensual nuances. Ekos Flor do Luar is a mysterious perfume, which shows itself floral and green, sometimes earthy, sometimes semi-gourmand and woody. I could even write one of those legends of creatures that appear at night, in the forests, with the intention of seducing men and women with their scent. It was made for women, but it is perfectly shareable. Some say it is very similar to The One (Dolce & Gabbana). I remembered quite a bit about the charm of Covet (Sarah Jessica Parker) when the green nuances begin to merge with a chocolate base. Anyone who has ever felt the latter will understand this feeling. Projection and longevity? Amazing! If applied on the main points, Ekos Flor do Luar projects very well and lasts more than 10 hours. Without a doubt, a beautiful work by Verônica Kato in co-creation with Clément Gavarry (IFF). We need more fragrances of this quality in the national perfumery.

Perfume arrasadoramente sensual, com as notas florais bem proeminentes mas com um toque ideal de mistério na mistura. Dura bem e tem uma projeção moderada. Realmente um perfume muito interessante. Representação maravilhosa dos segredos da Amazônia. Wonderfully sensual perfume with very prominent floral notes but also with an ideal touch of mystery in the mixture. It lasts for a good amount of time and has moderate sillage. Quite an interesting perfume. Marvelous representation of the Amazon's secrets.

On me I don't get much of the citric notes, but an inviting and exotic mix of balsamic, oily woods with flowers. It is quite a linear fragrance, it doesn't evolve much, but I absolutely love it. It's elegant, smells sophisticated, I've tried it with hot summer days and fall, and it works perfectly for any occasion, a sure compliment-getter. It has a 6hr longevity on my skin, which for the price is more than what I could ask, and more than 12hr on clothes.

Very linear perfume the proposal of all others in the Ekos Collection, that is, it refers to pure and vibrant nature with the famous footprint of organic alcohol that is a recognized impression from far and near Casa Natura. Large and intense floral, as well as dirty. I know the real Moonlight Flower up close, because of the trips I make through the freshwater archipelago of the Marajó Islands, in periods of research or holidays; it is a part of the unknown Amazon and of fauna and flora not fully explored. The Moonlight Flower blooms even once a year and does not have a very friendly odor, no, it is somewhat fetid and confused referring to the odor of water hyacinth with freshwater salt spray and more mixed aquatic plants, in addition to the smell of stalk that is quite evident. Here the flower is mixed with citrus touches, floral notes of yellow plants, a woody footprint and an oily soup that reminds us of baths for religious or loving rituals of my Amazon region. The exit bothers because it takes a long time to evolve, bringing a kind of saponaceous aspect, then on the body the floral becomes exuberant and nocturnal giving space to a more serious and rustic woman base that lasts for hours. It is a perfume that does not make the style of women from large urban centers, it alludes to the profile of the model of advertising itself, an Amazonian woman, of the suntanned skin that reflects in the fresh waters of an infinite river that since its birth, is the street and the backyard of your house. Excellent fixation and projection. Aroma that is not common and not everyone will please.

Achei muito, mas muito parecido com o L' Instant de Guerlain. Como colecionadora que sempre comprou importados, mas nunca deixou de torcer pela perfumaria nacional, eu posso dizer que com esta colônia a Natura acertou a mão. Muito boa mesmo! Ela tem um ar fougère, um aromático de respeito com notas verdes muito elegantes. Apresenta um cítrico que é leve, equilibrado, não agressivo como na maioria das criações. O acréscimo harmonioso e exótico da priprioca, copaíba e da pataqueira são a base de luxo que sustenta esta bela criação. Um cheiro de Brasil maravilhoso! Parabéns!

This is a beautiful creation made by brazilian house Natura. Earthy and green at the same time. I have no familiarity with the ingredients, which are mostly natural and represent Brazil. Could be sol aboard for hundreds of dollars. Not a safe buy.
