Homem Dom

I ordered two Natura fragrances from eBay due to the interesting note breakdowns and the highly rated longevity and overall ratings as well, this fragrance, Homem Dom and Homem Tato. To be honest I was much more excited to receive Homem Tato due to the fact that I recently got rid of my bottle of Bvlgari Man in Black, BIG MISTAKE!!!, and the fact that so many people said that they were very similar. This one I was still looking forward to but I was expecting something along the lines of Armani Code Profumo. Well, Homem Tato is NOT what I was hoping for, but this one, this one is much better than Code Profumo in my opinion. The longevity is not what the ratings make it seem to be, but I think a lot of that is due to the fact that in the countries this fragrance brand is sold they don't have easy access to the high end designer fragrances from France, Spain and Italy. But I love the uniqueness of both fragrances! I love that they source ingredients so locally that there are no other brands that even have access to some of the raw materials used in the Natura fragrance wardrobe such as the Pataqueria used in Homem Tato, and the Priprioca used in this fragrance. Natura is the only brand currently offering those experiences to the public, however difficult it might be for anyone outside of South America to obtain these fragrances, I say their uniqueness alone makes them worth at least $50-$60! I got mine for $45.90 each, and I thoroughly enjoy both of them, though I do wish that Homem Tato had much more spice to it and a tad more sweetness. But as far as Homem Dom is concerned, this stuff is great!!! Don't expect the longevity of Code Profumo because it's just not there, but it's still got very adequate performance, and I much prefer this scent profile to Either Code Profumo or Absolu, however Code Absolu Gold is a complete different story. The added saffron accord along with the iris accord in that version are exquisite and there aren't many fragrances on the market that I think are better than it is. 1 Million Intense with it's awesome saffron accord is better, but it's been discontinued for a while now and is fetching over $200 for 100mls! But I digress, Homem Dom is an amazing fragrance and I'm very happy to have picked it up at a very good price. If you are a fan of Armani Code Profumo, or Tumi Continuum then this will be right up your alley. #1134 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I see a couple of folks thought this was similar to Michael Malul's "Jet Black Enigma." Until recently when I decided to retire completely I was consulting for a London firm, and the engineer assigned to me wore a great scent which I asked him about. He said it was a scent by Michael Malul, a brand I'd never heard of and planned to look for but never got around to checking out. I see Malul scents are highly rated on here, a bit pricey on FragranceNet (as most all their niche scents are) but if those scents are anything like this I want to try them out, and Malul has a scent library with 26 of their fragrances I can get for $80! Very cool! But back to this fabulous woodsy-musky Natura scent. It's definitely a love for me. The musk these guys use puts me in mind of the Jovan Musk of the 70's, which is what I think people are misreading as "sweetness." Tons of perfume oil in this. Definitely would oil stain clothing, so skin sprays only. Again they use a biodiversity note no one else uses called priprioca, that is giving this a unique fresh, spicy-smokey note. Comes in a simple, environmentally friendly box, rectangular bottle, nice magnetic cap. Love it! This is masculine, long-lasting, strong projecting, probably wouldn't car pool with this, but okay for an open office plan. Definitely a date scent. No citrus, so leans a little oriental, but no rose, which I very much appreciate. I got this on PureBrasil.com for $39. It's $61 on Amazon, so don't waste your money. PureBrasil ships FedEx and they ship same day. In the past year between UPS and USPS I've had over $2000 in shipments disappear, so I really like that they use FedEx. Anyway, another successful blind buy for me. I'm on a roll!

es un perfume que l inicio sale herbal, muy parecido al homen verum pero este dom va acompañado de unas notas de madera eso es en los primeros 20 minutos, después lo herbal se va volviendo mas tenue hasta llegar a quedar en ultimo plano, la madera y la vainilla negra empiezan a resaltar mas estando entre esas dos notas predominando con otras notas que aun no se como describirla pero se disfrutan mucho. En mi opinión ya después de la 1hrs le encuentro un parecido a tous man intense, lleva ese aire como a chocolate, pero este con la presencia de las maderas lo vuelve mas oscuro y maduro. EDAD DE USO: es un perfume que si tiene un carácter pesado pero no por eso no puede dejarle de gustar al publico juvenil, pienso que si es un perfume de probarlo antes de cómpralo, aun que la verdad si es muy rico, tengo 21 años y a mi parecer si le va bien a alguien de mi edad, aun que en ocasiones especiales y definitivamente es para días fríos/frescos ya que si es un poco dulce y esto lo hace hostigante en el calor.

Rumours of discontinuation made me buy this fragrance and lucky for me, I found it on sale. It's actually a nice fragrance. Subtle and not as loud as people may think. Stays close to the skin. The fragrance itself is very smooth. The main notes you get here is vanilla and woods, it has a chocolate vibe which makes it perfect for fall/winter. Projection is almost none but duration is quite good. I get 5-6 hours on skin and clothes. If you want something loudless, great for office and dates, get it now while you can.

A take on chocolate that is somehow complex - chocolate hijacks all other notes, to be honest: this one shows an effort to avoid that. It is a good option if you are looking for a heavy winter blend. A good reference would be Axe Dark Temptation or Axe Oud Wood and Vanilla - I would say it is quite similar to the last one as far as I can remember. It is sold at a very accesible price - in the local market I would say it is far better than others in the same price point. A good value for money. Edit: The above review was on a trial. After a full wear things changed for I could get notes more clearly. An akin to aromatic opening that morphs into gourmand territory, the chocolate blends with the kind of musk found in Avon's Musk for men or Mugler's B*Men. The initial complexity is lost after half an hour, from then on it is quite linear and long lasting on the vein of a very strong skin scent. Again, the Axe Dark Tempation feeling is there to stay. Nothing groundbreaking, not very original, pretty informal and contemporary; a budget scent that smells a tad better than those by Zara. Good value for money.

Uma fragrância abaunilhada e amadeirada do início ao fim, junto de uma pimenta e uma fava tonka evidente. O bálsamo do peru foi muito bem usado nessa fragrância. A saída desse perfume é baunilha pura, com madeira, pimenta e fava tonka no fundo. Depois que ele seca na pele, a madeira vai ficando mais forte, junto com a pimenta. No geral, é um perfume bem doce, sedutor e noturno, usaria numa noite amena, ou até numa noite fria, em encontros e talvez, só talvez em ocasiões formais. Nota 7,5. Eu daria uma nota 8 ou 9, mas meus amigos e minha namorada não gostaram.

Esse aqui é para quem curte um perfume bem abaunilhado e doce de verdade, que lembra muito um achocolatado confortável. O diferencial é que ele passa longe daquelas notas de café; o que sinto é um cacau bem trabalhado, 'cozido' e muito doce. É uma fragrância evidentemente masculina e volúvel, que consegue se destacar em qualquer ambiente. A fava tonka aqui não está de brincadeira e tem uma participação pesada, garantindo aquela cremosidade que vicia. Se você quer um rastro marcante e com uma vibe gourmand de respeito, ele entrega tudo.

This is slept on, and mainly because of reviewers that accuse this of being unwearable in the Brazilian weather. It's very powerful and sweet, but will get you noticed in a different (positive) way. Go light on the sprays in warmer weather, but wear it! Smells semi-gourmand to me, with a chocolatey accord. Super natural smelling, and out of the norm. Living in a colder part of the country, I see myself wearing this all the time in all seasons but summer, when I'd go easy and gravitate more towards fresher scents.

On first smell it instantly reminded me of Far Away Beyond by Avon. I personally dislike male fragrances that are sweet and full of vanilla or chocolate, so for me it was a no no. Lasting power was great.

1. A warm, dense and full-bodied fragrance that combines exclusively with the nights, as well as the milder temperatures, if not cold, freezing; I cannot see the evolution of Dom Dom outside of this, in fact, it may be humanly impossible to use it outside of this context. 2. I almost felt uncomfortable in the first contact, considering that I don't approve right away the fragrances that are too loaded in the Black Pepper note, I think that if he started out more citric, or even with the more saponaceous aspect of Geranium, he would be without without a doubt, a perfection among the whole family of the Homem de Natura Collection. 3. Balsam of Peru is an asset if well used in perfumery, otherwise it emanates a characteristic aroma of saliva outside the mouth, yes, there is that drool aspect in the drying process, however, in Dom it is well placed between Vanilla in fava beans and more the sweetness of the Tonka that is not sweetened here, but milky and with a resinous pronunciation which dialogues with the smoky balsamic aspect of this phase and make the aroma of the fragrance very characteristic of the proposal of its own bottle, something dark, closed, serious to the extreme. 4. Dom owns a magnificent sillage and projects well in the first 6 hours, then it is something around an armful and a half, but still surprising. I must say that it ends with nuances of wood on fire, Sandalwood smoke, Aldehydes (spicy), Sun over the fire and dry roots, above all, Copaíba is queen here, from the heart it already signals its reign, and in Sun it is in the form of an ointment, like those used in fixed passage rituals from Pará, which, even after their closure, its aroma lingers for weeks in the environment and on clothes even after they are washed.

Boa fragrância, mas praticamente não exala.
