Homem Neo

#1154 in my "Tour de Fragrance" As you see in the "Reminds Me of" section, many would say Natura scents are all technically flankers, slight variations on a theme, none of which really depart wildly from each other (Veronica Kato apparently worked on all of them, and she definitely likes pepper for instance). But they are different enough that I can say I prefer this one over that one. I prefer this "Homem Neo" over the scent I tried out yesterday, "Essencial Intenso", for example, but not enough to care which I grab in the morning. This is spicy, woody, masculine, as they all are, but the tweeks, the pataquiera, copahu balm and cashmeran, that's where the action is with this scent that gives it a cozier feel, brings out a little more amber, and a little more barbershop vibe in the projection. Good quality scent, nice magnetic cap, easily stored rectangular bottle. No ridiculous packaging to clog up the landfill. Car pool, elevator and small spaces safe. I live in Brazil, and therefore I know all (and own most) of the other Natura fragrances people say this reminds them of. Let me tell you something, as much as Brazil has a very passionate and dedicated fragrance enthusiasts community, the overwhelming majority of people couldn't tell some fragrances apart if their lives depended on it. They are extremely limited in their knowledge and experience with different scents, and will make dreadful, completely absurd comparisons that make no sense whatsoever. For instance, if you have a chance, try smelling their Homem Cor.agio fragrance. People (even brazilian content creators) will say it smells like 1 Million. The average joe here will basically assume any two fragrances with three or more notes in common will obviously smell the same. Anyway, that's all to say I guarantee: no, this doesn't smell like Essencial Único, it doesn't smell like Homem Nós, it sure as hell doesn't smell like CH Men.
