Maresale

This is not bad at all! I was gifted one a few years ago, but my interest in fragrances wasn't there then, so I am coming back to this now. I guess it is difficult to find one outside of Italy, anyway, I want to spend a few good words about it. I am wearing it while writing, and I am wearing it often in the last days. I can see this EDP prevalently for summer and spring, when there is sunny, hot weather. It feels like a skin scent to me, but I am using it in winter, not the best season to let it fully express its notes. It won't project; this one is not to impress. It is for discrete moments in which the protagonist is not the perfume, but it is still there and pleasant when somebody gets close to you. The name Maresale literally translates to "Sea salt" and the salty, aquatic, fresh note is very much representative in here, not only for the top notes, but for all its duration. The woody, sandalwood note is there and balanced with the rest, giving it body while keeping it fresh. I am using it as my all-day fragrance: it fits any situation and in my opinion, mostly the daytime. I consider it a marine-aromatic scent: fresh, clean, and evocative of sea breeze. There is even an impression of sand in the background. At some point, the lemon gives space to a flower note, with a spontaneous and pleasant evolution. I do have some doubts about its longevity: I think I might be nose blind, because I am reaching my arms often to smell it and get a better sense of it. Still, don't expect a long persistence. I have no clue about its price (mine was a gift), and I am not familiar with other aquatic fragrances, but overall, my impression is positive.
