Ambrosia Imperiale

Not sure why there’s a random Karen in the comments but as a lover of fragrances I quite enjoy seeing lists like the one from JoyousOne because it gives me ideas from others who already have a similar nose as I do. Not to mention that it’s a good list! BR540 is amazing (when it isn’t playing the disappearing act on skin). Valaya has been on my wishlist for a minute now. Parfums de Marly is so hit or miss. I blind purchased both Cassili and Delina Exclusif which I hated Cassili and loved DE. Notes wise I’m almost positive I would love Valaya but yet I still hesitate mostly because I’m busy buying other things first like Ambrosia Imperiale which.. I have not a single regret. I will say I’m not in love yet but with all niche fragrances I’ve found that you need to let them sit for a while before they really give you what you’re looking for. Nishane Ani was a hate at first sniff because I couldn’t stop gagging over the loud ginger but after a month of ignoring it I suddenly began to smell all the other symphony of notes that left me smelling like a vanilla ginger pastry all warmed up and sprinkled with a hint of citrus which to me comes across lemony but my point is I know to give it some time and even from first sniff with AI I can already tell what boozy warm caramelized goodness this will turn into. My only issue is that I have to wait for it. I honestly sometimes hate that some of these fragrances need developing time after first spray because I want to be obsessed immediately and so far the only two fragrances to be obsession at first sniff are Bianco Latte and Akro Bake.. both are worth the immense hype they’ve been getting like it’s chefs kiss how good those are. Navitus is known for fragrances growing more potent and delicious over time so I can’t wait. I am considering going for Mahni Cassonade next but part of me wonders if it’s just another vanilla because while the bottle is beautiful I’ve been hearing great things about Lost in a Dream from Navitus. Not sure which direction I’ll go but I do know that Navitus is slaying the niche game because their juices are top tier quality while not breaking the bank like fragrance du bois likes to..

I was so incredibly excited to order this given I am a huge banana/banana scented/banana flavored anything fan. My expectation before first smell was for the fragrance to be thick, boozy, and syrupy like per the "bananas foster" reference. Upon first spray, that is not what I got at all.... and I was so thankful for it! Instead of a thick dessert like aroma, you're met with a STUNNING banana fragrance that is reminiscent of banana runtz, but not in a bad way. Over time... this banana scent becomes more realistic and sits on the skin SO well. I get the banana scent from beginning to end, coupled with the saffron throughout. Although I thought I wanted a more pronounced gourmand/thick-like fragrance, this is a much lighter and aromatic profile that makes it wearable for everyday use... which again is not what I thought I wanted... but I now totally appreciate. The true magic of this fragrance is in the dry down. This is where the base notes really shine. I get a really rich caramel scent that plays in tandem with the benzoin very beautifully. The rum note basically holds all of the deeper notes together, but its not the most noticeable scent which I appreciate. Again, for me the banana and the saffron are the strongest players throughout my entire wear. Lastly, the ONLY note I think that may deter people initially is the davana. You definitely get a green quality throughout the entire performance, which is presumably this note. It has a sharp herbal/balsamic essence that umbrellas the fragrance which in my opinion, is the sole note that stops this from being fully gourmand. BUT with that said, I grew to love this note in the composition of the fragrance and overtime, you understand why it compliments the other notes so well! - Unique/Niche banana fragrance, never done before - AMAZING sillage/longevity/projection, easily 8+ hours, clothes even longer - AI the Great did an incredible job, I hope she puts out more fragrances in the future!

Given all I had heard about this fragrance I was surprised to find the banana actually feels quite green in the opening. I was expecting it to be more sweet baked bananas with cream and rum. Perhaps its the davana note which I haven't heard of before and if its been mentioned in video reviews I clearly didn't hear that part ! That said its still quite delicious although does remind me a little of those foam banana sweets. Its very bubblegummy too. Also not as gourmand as I expected - even though I am listing various foods as descriptors lol- and I'm not sure if that's because of the greenery or something else. Basically I expected more cream ,sugar and caramel but the green banana is definitely at the forefront. Thinking about it AI the Great doesn't like overly gourmand gourmands and I think she has the balance right here. Its gourmand but still fragrance first and foremost. I would purchase a smaller size bottle if available. otherwise I probably wouldn't reach for this often enough to merit a fullsize. UPDATE - OK - I keep coming back to this one. I want to keep sniffing it and I love the drydown and the scent it leaves on my clothes the following day. I have only used the tiniest amount from a tester and it stays all day on my skin and days on clothes giving constant beautiful wafts of the banana. I wasn't sure of that green banana at first but now its grown on me SOOO much. I LOVE.beast mode frags and this IS one. There's something very moreish about it and I know once this sample is used up I am going to want to smell this again. It has a gorgeous airiness to it which makes it a Summer friendly gourmand. I can smell it on a jacket hanging by the door when I go past in a similar way that you get distant wafts of BR540. Tempted to get a bottle. Torn between this and Amour Infinite - both would add something new to my very small collection. It's original but still very wearable AI the Great? More like AI the Genius.

This is a beautiful adult gourmand. For those who are afraid of the banana note, dont be. The banana isnt prominent. Its like plantain chips or unripe green banana. Its not a Laffy Taffy candy banana. This fragrance takes you on a beautiful long journey. Its not linear by far. I love what the saffron does in here. I love the drydown of the musk. There's nothing like it. Its in my top 5. Its an easy reach. Even when I think I DONT feel like wearing it, once it touches my skin and my nose gets a whiff, my entire body feel the euphoria. I feel so empowered and strong when I wear this. Its not for everyone, but Ive decanted about 5 bottles for ppl. Ppl do overall LOVE this fragrance. I love that a Black woman is the creative director behind this fragrance. I feel like it represents me! As a woman we carry a lot of things in our purses. American Express says never leave home without it. We have to have a purse and id. I ALWAYS have a decant of Ambrosia Impérial in my bag. I NEVER leave home without her. Im ALWAYS excited to share this with someone. My name is Joy, but Ambrosia Impérial brings me so much joy! Whether Im wearing it layered with Notorieta from the Black owned brand Maison De Darius, Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, Kilian's Apple Brandy on the Rocks, or solo, its always a stunner. I love passing it around at Perfume Exchange dinners and fragrance events so I can see the delight in someone's face immediately once they smell it. This typically graduates from a paper test to skin test rather quickly. Then they pull out their phone to screenshot where they can buy it from. I already loved A.I. the Great BEFORE this masterpiece was released. This just gave me all of the banana rum, vanilla, caramel, whipped cream extra reasons to adore her more! I already look forward to evert single fragrance she will ever release for her entire life!

Oh my gosh I absolutely love this fragrance, I don't see how anyone couldn't enjoy this scent. Upon first spraying it I definitely pick up on the citrus notes in here, I know it has orange in it but oddly enough I'm getting something in here that kind of reminds me of lime but I don't see that listed in the notes. Even though it has citrus in it it's not really what I would consider a straight up fruity fragrance, it's almost like the citrus notes that remind you of Christmas especially with the cinnamon in here. I usually do not like banana in fragrances but that could also be attributed to the fact that I just don't like bananas in general, but as long as it's not the main note I smell in a fragrance then I don't mind it too much. Sometimes I feel like banana can end up smelling too artificial in some fragrances but the take on bananas in this fragrance is more of a creamy banana. I also definitely get the notes of vanilla, caramel, and whipped cream in here and that's what really does it for me. It's like a spiced banana bread topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. The dry down is amazing and I really get the musk note in this one. The projection and longevity on this is insane too. I sprayed this on my wrists & neck when I went out one night and I could still smell it all the next day, it's like it didn't even fade at all. I could smell it on my sweatshirt for days too. This brand is definitely one of my absolute faves, the Baklava & Vanilla Eclat from this brand is delicious too. If you're usually a gourmand lover or you like musky fragrances like me than this brand is for you, and considering the quality and the longevity of the fragrance then I would definitely say it's worth the price point because a little really does go a long way.

*** Dreamy, warm, addictive, euphoric !!! *** It is like a hot banana bread straight out of the oven, soaked into rum and vanilla extract, covered in caramel, topped with cream and rich sprinkle of brown sugar! Divine, delightful gourmand fragrance! The second I sprayed it on my skin, I was obsessed! Exceptional job by AI the Great and the perfumers of Navitus! Once you try it, you can feel the effort, love and passion put into creating this masterpiece. I very much look forward to trying the other 2 fragrances by AI and can already foretell that they will be incredible. Some metrics - great performance on skin (easily 6-7 h on skin, much more on clothes; tends to create a magical cloud in the room where you sprayed it), the perfume evolves a little bit but keeps its main character until the end, strong sillage and long lasting! It doesn't remain unnoticed and gives the right vibes of the luxurious fragrance that it is. Perfect for any season, but early fall will probably reveal its warming nature the best. Falls into daytime and cozy category, however - if you get under its spell, I think you wouldn't stop wearing in any time and occasion. I truly cannot get the comments for a cheap bubblegum and similar hate comments. The ones for green banana are also totally inaccurate. For me this is the absolute best from what I've tried from Navitus so far. For any gourmand lovers - it is a must try! I blind bought it and for a first time in a while I got mesmerized by a quality made gourmand perfume!!!

The first day or two trying it, it was an "ok" at most. The dry down was such a disappointment as it turned mainly musky and spicy. I have let it sit for a few days and went back to it again, and I have totally changed my mind - I totally LOVE this fragrance! The initial spray is a very sweet, candied banana with boozy notes and has this fizzy feel to it. As it dries down, the caramel and whipped cream really come through. I remember smelling my shirt the next day and it was this creamy and elegant caramel and I couldn't pinpoint what that was, then I remembered...Ambrosia Imperiale! Longevity is exceptional, on clothes it easily lasts 24h. Projection is at least within arm length - it is hard for me to test this one so your experience might differ. I recommend giving this perfume a bit of time to sit, and at least a couple of wears to fully experience it. Also, it can be very different when testing it at home, compared to being outside. When out, I get whiffs of it more often and it is absolutely divine in the air.

I waited a while to review this one bc I didn't know what to think about it at first. I blindly ordered my bottle when it launched with the 30% discount. The notes looked amazing and the only other frag I had with a banana note was Buontalenti. But when AI arrived, I just didn't love it right away. I let it sit for 2 months and revisited it - then I started to like it. I get a lot of boozy banana liquer and caramel. The cinnamon is light and adds some depth. The dates makes this smell syrupy on my skin (I love it!) While the whipped cream adds airiness and the davana lends some greenery, which works beautifully here. And the vanilla surrounds all the other notes perfectly. It's a really unique and gorgeous scent. I have nothing similar to it in my collection. Edit/ this fragrance has become a love for me. I have reached for it a handful of times in the last couple of weeks. I've been layering it over Sugar Works Banana Nectar Mallows body oil -- and that combo is divine!

The hype is real. They've simultaneously balanced a strong projection with a sense of softness. It's truly unisex though.. if you're a feminine person, it'll lean feminine. If you're not, you can still certainly wear it. It's hard to describe because no individual note is the star of the fragrance. They each have a turn at being beautifully present. There's nothing overpowering or artificial about it. It's sensual, alluring, juicy, green, & gourmand. All at the same time. It's just blended to perfection & able to check all the boxes. I think it's sweet & airy enough for hot weather and still deep enough to hold up in the cold. This is truly a chameleon which makes it a perfect candidate for a signature scent. Good for errands, holidays, parties, dates, or even to wear to bed. If you are concerned about the price, you have to consider the size of the bottle. It's like getting 4 fragrances in 1.

This is hands down my favorite perfume! Everytime as soon as I step out the the house I get sooooo many compliments!!! The most I have ever received on a fragrance I’ve worn! To me get a heavy banana smell! That banana smell last all day on me!! That to me is everything! Overall this fragrance on me is a banana orange boozy sweet scent. I definitely pick up on the banana, orange, rum, saffron, and vanilla. There’s times when I get a baccarat smell which I looove because that’s one of my favorites. Iam obsessed with this fragrance. This will be a forever buy. It’s very unique I can wear this all year. I can not wait to get the lotion!! I’m so very proud of A.I ❤️ she did an amazing job with this one! Yaaas, gurl! First of all, Navitus. Second... bananas, dates, whipped cream, rum, cinnamon. All that, with a twist of davana to keep it out off the 'too sweet' zone. I get so many compliments on this. At first I was a bit skeptical about this being good in summer, because the notes would suggest syrupy, but that's not the case at all. I broke a light sweat with this in the Georgia(USA) heat & humidity & thought it was going to break the mix & go stinky. Nope! It just got more beautiful, and upon drydown kinda reminds me of a no coffee vanilla caramel frappucino, light & frosty. IDK, but I will always have this. The bottle is a very generous 125ml & the perfume is extrait strength, so you are getting good value. If you decide to get a decant, make it a good size one. You won't regret it.

I ordered a sample of this from My Perfect Scent (UK based website for Niche brands) and wow, it was not what I was expecting but its delicious! It's very moreish, I kept sniffing myself all day. I would say this perfume is beast mode, I sprayed around 5-6 sprays on my arms/top and could smell it on my top the next day. I wouldn't say it is 100% gourmand, as it has a freshness to it but I love that. I desperately want a bottle but its very expensive at around £194 and out of stock constantly :( I will wait for the hype to die down and then try to purchase. I would not say its a safe blind buy (purely down to the cost) as I don't think this will be everyone's cup of tea but for me, personally, if I'd have blind bought this I'd be super happy. It really is stunning.

Ambrosia Imperiale smells like candy- a banana boiled sweet. I think it is unique. I haven't smelt or owned anything like it anyway. I don't really get whipped cream but then I struggle to get that scent in most sweet fragrances because to me, it is overpowered by the other scents. It gives banana Daiquiri vibes. Very sweet. Lasts a good 6 hours plus (i am a heavy sprayer). Compliments are "you smell like candy". Very interesting worn with bubblegum by Rebel. You smell like a sweet shop. The only resemblance this has to Amorous intense IMO is that it smells like a sweet. Otherwise, in my opinion, this is the preferred choice. If you like candy like scents that you can wear all year round, this is a safe buy, but it is a pricey one.

This fragrance is phenomenal! I'm absolutely obsessed with this fragrance. I have nothing like this in my collection and I'm so glad I have it. I'm extremely proud of Ai the Great because she has great taste in fragrances and I truly enjoy her weekly videos. This fragrance is gourman-ish but not to sweet and totally unisex. I mainly get banana, Saffron. And rum. It's last on me 8-10 hours on skin and on clothes forever 🤣🤣. I've received more compliments with this fragrance than I have ever received from any fragrance I own. I so glad I purchased it when it was 30% off but its so good I'm ordering a backup bottle. I feel its blind buy worthy but I do suggest you try to get a sample. It was a blind buy for me and I'm soooo obsessed!!

This is absolutely both equally beautiful and stunning. This is high quality niche thats well blended and unique. This is grown adult gourmand. This isnt overly sweet. This is unisex. This is iconic. This is groundbreaking. This is trail blazing and trend setting. This is unisex. This is smooth musk and saffron. Even if you dont like bananas, you can like this. A co worker smelled this on me and she sd I smelled lickable in the most innocent way. This is a historic creation and Im privileged and extremely blessed to own a bottle. Plz read the notes while smelling this. This is liquid art. This is safe to wear in environments where perfume isnt allowed. She's demure yet confident. Get your nose on this!

I’m glad to say that I am pleased with this fragrance. A batch went out to some customers prior to me getting mine, and the reviews had me biting my nails on whether I’d like this or not. This is boozy, amber, banana dessert (sweet & fried), it’s musky too. The sweetness reminds me of Khamrah by Lataffah, and the booziness reminds me of angels share. Note: I said “reminds me” these are not at all dupes, and I don’t have anything like this is my collection, which makes me really happy. The only con to me, is that it doesn’t project as much as I’d like. I really enjoy it otherwise!

There was a bar and his 🍸 drink made him comfortable to share the truth without inhibitions. He continued, "How in the world do you smell this good and NOT expect men to approach you? You know EXACTLY what you're doing!" Winning combination paired or solo!

Some of these comments...are sad and messy. We get it! you don't like it and that's fine ..but to troll and rate fragrance because of hate is not cool. Ambrosia Imperiale is a delicious treat, unique to my collection. This is a airy gourmand and the banana note is not too sweet or heavy but floats through the fragrance and caramel is not sticky, but hard and sweet. Saffron and davina matures this and helps to project and make this a very long lasting fragrance. She is expensive and smells expensive!! And the yummy banana fragrance I have been craving 🍌🥃🍦🍬

This fragrance OMG what a stunner and it takes you on a journey. Seriously if you don't want attention drawn to you then don't wear Ambrosia Imperiale. I received 7 compliments on the 1st day and they keep coming. I ordered a backup bottle. The satisfaction I got from. This perfume is what I expected BK540 to make me feel. I felt nothing with BR540. Did not raffle my feathers a bit but I have it dt FOMO but AI, what a wowzer, makes my heart flatter and my nose sings when I breathe it in. I'm so impressed with AI. She sure know how to deliver.

I have a decant to sample and have been trying it daily...its one of the sexiest banana scented fragrances I have ever smelled! Ambrosia imperiale definitely has projection (wow!) with moderate longevity about 5-6 hrs which is ok for me. I'd say be careful with the sprays because it can be cloying--and strong white floral can be headache inducing after hours and hours of wear. Other than that, the fragrance is Poppin! it's a really gorgeous scent and very well blended. Kudos to the parfumer and creator!! It's fb worthy, as its very unique.

The first time I smelled this, I thought, “Fruity Pebbles!” Not in a synthetic way, but in a scent-memory way. The more I wear it, the more I smell the coriander and for some reason, I really like it! I layered it over white tea ginger lotion and that really brought out the banana note but it didn’t last long. It’s ok, I dont really want to smell like banana candy. I’m not a perfume expert by any means, but I think this one really is a masterpiece. The price feels high because the bottle is so big. Wish it came in a smaller size bottle.

Im not sure why there has been an influx of negative reviews on this beauty recently. Ambrosia is still Navitus' #1 selling fragrance. I bought the matching candle, it smells good. I tested the body cream at ScentXplore NYC 2 weeks ago. Brown Sugar Babe and AI the Great teamed up for the Ambrosia body oil and guess what....IT SOLD OUT! Everyone in social media groups are BEGGING to try it. Interesting group here on Fragrantica. Ambrosia is still my #1. I host fragrance events with DOZENS of ppl and it's a hit EVERY TIME!

yooo i got chased down in the mall from a lady wanting to know what I was wearing! That has never happened to me before. This fragrance creates a soft sweet fluffy bubble around me, clearly it projected much further than I thought. The banana note in this fragrance is light thought, not heavy and sticky. It is accompanied by a green note which gives the impression of the leafy parts of the banana tree as well as the fruit. The dry down is whipped cream and vanilla for me. this was a really great blind buy for me!

A perfumery version of Bananas Foster on a sawdust vanilla musk. Seems like they added an unlisted bit of black pepper to the caramel rum sauce. A nice add since it cuts the sweetness a bit and lends more interest. Smells better on the sillage than on direct wrist sniff. Too close and I pick up too much of the sawdust. Lasts forever on my skin. It's an interesting smell - particularly for those of us who like sweets and have been looking for a banana scent that's not so literally fruity or candied.

I’ve been obsessed with wanting to buy, but can’t afford $245! 😩😩😩. I even bought Banana Foster by Dua to mix with a decant I have of BR540, but it doesn’t seem right? I will compare to sample to see if I can recreate the smell without breaking the bank 😔😒 Edit 7/20/23 My sample arrived and it’s a very sweet banana candy, spicy (saffron) banana. It’s very different, and I like it, but the price is just too much... Now they raised the price to $295. Way to be relatable Ai the Great! 🙄

I Love this, it’s got a similar vibe of Tiziana Terenzi Kirke but instead of passion fruit it’s Banana & Rum, the musk is similar to Tiziana Terenzi, I personally love this fragrance. Banana note isn’t as potent as Bana Banana, which I have and I’m happy about that, if I want to increase the banana smell, I’ll layer with Bana Banana. Longevity 10/10 (8+ hours on me) Sillage 8/10 (passed arms length) Smell 9/10 Unisex I’m based in the UK, all ratings are based on personal experience.

I think this is a beautiful scent. It makes me think of bananas that are still slightly green at the top, (my favorite stage), not super mushy and overly sweet. Still having some firmness and a bit of tartness. It actually really reminds me of the original formulation of Dior Fahrenheit. I used to go bonkers over that when my bf would wear it lol. So good. Kinda fruity, kinda sweet but not too, perfect for warm weather. In my opinion, unisex but leans slightly feminine.

I can’t even explain why I love this. I have some heavy hitter fragrances but I keep coming back to this one. I started with a decant, then purchased the all over spray. I am still going to get a regular full bottle. This could easily be my signature scent and I can’t even tell you why, lol. I didn’t care for the amour infinite and glad to only have purchased a decant. This scent is either for you, or it isn’t. It’s really just that simple.

I have fallen in love with this fragrance! I have nothing like it in my collection. It’s a sweet slightly green banana with some sexy saffron and whipped toppings. I love that it’s not too sweet and that I could wear this anytime of the year. I have sprayed my bottle everyday since I’ve received it because I find the scent so intoxicating. It’s long lasting and it projects. It’s a love for me and I’m so happy to have in my collection.

This is a masterpiece fragrance. Full stop. If it had been released through another niche house (e.g. Xerjoff or Kilian) the entire world would be raving about it. This is absolutely gorgeous. It is sensual, tropical, and deliciously feminine. And it doesn't smell so tropical that it can't be worn in winter (I have worn it here in NYC and it's divine in the cold). This is a for-life fragrance for me. 11/10, can't recommend enough.

I just got a decant in the mail this morning and a few hours later I was on the website ordering a full bottle. This is so unique and beautiful and I'm obsessed. The banana is not artificial or overpowering. It's like a very ripe banana that you would use for banana bread and the rum, dates and caramel give it a banana Foster vibe. I love it so much and can't wait for my full bottle to arrive!

This scent is absolutely phenomenal. I’m shocked at the reviews that say they don’t get the banana or that this is sugary sweet. I actually wish it was a tad sweeter. This fragrance is a sexy, slightly spicy gourmand that lasts all day on my skin and days on clothes. I’ve gotten compliments every time I’ve worn it. Very unique fragrance in a fantastic way.

It’s a strong like leaning towards a love, I sprayed around 1pm(2/3sprays), 2 showers later it’s 2am in the morning and the scent is still prominent on my skin. It’s so well blended I could not pinpoint an exact note but the dry down is a creamy banana & rum on me, beautiful. Got repeated compliments thru the day. Well done AI & Navitus! Worth the price.

Not getting anything chocolatey or caramel. The notes I get are the orange and whipped cream with a slight touch of banana. Very soft and feminine. It’s yummy smelling but not sickly sweet. I could see this performing well in spring and summer. It’s clean, sweet and comforting. Love this one, it was an unexpected winner for me!

This fragrance is a powerhouse, perfect for the cooler months. The scent of banana is present but not overwhelmingly sweet, thanks to the balancing saffron. It lasts for about 8 hours and always receives numerous compliments. I own other fragrances from this house, and I believe they are all worth the price.

Have gone through 2 full bottles of this and a body spray. This is a beautiful slightly green , banana, whipped cream and caramel scent. Stunning on vacations and the scent trail it leaves? Out of this world. Highly addictive. Beautiful juice, bottle and packaging. This is a staple for me.

I went to a Galentine's Day dinner exchange. I gave Ambrosia Imperiale. The gift bags were given out randomly. The lady sitting NEXT to the lady who got Ambrosia stood up at the table and held up my bag and sd, "Who gave this gift? What is it bc it smells soooooo good!" Winner!!

This smells like nothing on the market. This was the best fragrance launch of 2023 soo good. Yummy yet sophisticated for a man or woman. This is not an overpowering sweet candy scent. This is grown and sexy in a bottle. Light, airy, musky, slightly sweet, long lasting scent.

Wow. I'm picky let me tell you and this is a fruity gourmand that retains an elegant profile while wearing like a fruity marshmallow scent. So nice! Signature scent worthy. This reminds me of teissendu by frassai only the summer version.

@sweet69 not sure why my response was singled out, but the banana is prominent to MY nose and to many who’ve complemented me on the fragrance. Everything isn’t for everybody but my previous review still stands...phenomenal fragrance.

Absolutely beautiful. I can't stop smelling my wrist. Long lasting and sweet but airy at the same time. Very versatile and can be worn in all seasons due to it's lightness. It's gourmand but not too cake like.

This is sooooo good. I have nothing like this in my collection nor have I sampled anything remotely like this fragrance. It’s lasted on my skin for 10+ hours. I got so many compliments.

All noses are different but from a blotter I have to agree that the banana is very evident and overall this is a very nice and unique fragrance.
