Baklava Royale

This was love at first sniff! It is such a "pretty girl fragrance". It isn't as oberly gourmand as I thought it would be (although I would have loved that too!)... the orange blossom plays a nice role in making this super wearable. The composition is well-done and smell very high quality. It smells more expensive. It is nutty and sweet and all the things but more than that - it has that floral touch that really elevates this perfume too. Very impressed. First Navitus that I loved at first sniff (second now being Lost In A Dream), where other Navitus had to grow into loves but now I wouldn't be without them in my collection! (talking about you Ambrosia Imperiale, Amorous Intense, and Chocolate Queen!!)... The only issue I am having is - I am not sure that the performance is the best. I wish it would last longer and be more noticeable for longer. It isn't too light, but it does seem to fizzle out quickly. The scent & blend is very high quality, but is it actually HIGH QUALITY?? I am not sold on that part because of the longevity - still testing! And also hoping that with time it will only get better like I feel Chocolate Queen has gotten better with time too. Just want to note that the projection could use improvement but is better than Mahni Cassonade (which gave me ZERO scent bubble or silage).... Overall - no regrets! It's gorgeous and can be worn anywhere, any time of year.

My FAVOURITE Navitus fragrance. I had high hopes for Baklava Royale and it definitely didn’t disappoint😍 I literally can’t stop sniffing my wrist after I sprayed it. It’s sweet but not sickeningly sweet, it has the perfect amount of sweetness. It smells like a perfumey version of Baklava. If you smelt it without knowing what it was, you wouldn’t know that it’s Baklava, but you would think it’s a delicious and amazing floral gourmand smell! So it doesn’t have that buttery pastry aspect of baklava, but it has the nuts and the honey and the gorgeous orange blossom syrup. It smells sooo beautiful and elegant and sweet and gourmand all at the same time. The orange blossom and bergamot keep it from getting cloying and give it a lovely perfumey vibe. I also get alot of vanilla which I’m loving. So imagine a floral nutty gourmand with some honey and vanilla🍯💛🍦 Also, this doesn’t smell like cheirosa or girl of now to me. Yes, both are nutty florals but completely different. Gabby did an amazing job with this one it’s just perfect 10/10. I LOVE chocolate queen but this might be even better! Ps. Trust me this is not basic or boring as some of the reviews are saying, atleast to me personally this is SO special and delicious and gorgeous.

Received my bottle yesterday and fell in love on first freezing spritz. I wore it to work and... it was time consuming. One of my coworkers hassled me all morning about sending the link to the perfume, others hovered like vultures trying to figure out who smelled so good, which means the sillage must be pretty decent. Men complimented "you smell good." It's pretty feminine to me. I don't see a man wearing this. It holds up well in the freezing weather. I'd be hard-pressed to find a pistachio- almond (or any creamy nut)- vanilla- tonka- honey perfume I don't absolutely love. The pistachio, tonka and honey are the most pronounced and long lasting. About 4-6 hours on skin, longer on clothes. I sprayed it on the inside of my coat last night. I expect it to be even better in a few weeks time. When it comes to gourmands, Navitus x Youtubers understand the assignment. Overall, a yes for me!

This fragrance is so beautiful. I love that it is not sickly sweet. The smell took me back to when I worked at this Italian bakery in my early twenties, where I would serve up freshly made Baklava frequently. I wouldn't say that this fragrance smells exactly like actual baklava, but certain notes peek through that definitely played into my baklava memories, like the honey, pistachios (just a touch), and almonds The only problem I had with Baklava Royale was that it stayed close to my skin and did not last long at all- about 2 hours at the most. That was very disappointing, but it's a delicious scent.

I love this perfume so much. Initially I got a decant and thought it was unremarkable on paper strip, but I tested it on my skin and it was so different. It smells like a hug, I can't explain, the scent is just so warm and inviting. It's gourmand without being too food-like, sweet but not overpowering. It doesn't seem to last very long on skin but I can still smell it on a scarf I wore a month ago. Or maybe I just become noseblind to it I don't know. It's just a shame it's quite hard to get in the UK as there doesn't seem to be an official stockist, and it's rather expensive in my opinion.

Spicy, nutty, not too sweet but honeyed enough to remind you of the burnt phyllo edges on that first piece of baklava you tried in your childhood. Immediate recall to that moment, watching syrup drip from the fork to the plate, splashing and inhaling all of that thick, sweet, musty air. Pistachios sprinkled along the top. Whoops sorry, olfactory memory overtook me with this one! Seriously, though, this was a blind buy for me (which rarely go well... ). Packaging was stunning, too, and I am excited to display this bottle and wear it through the winter!

From the very first time I laid my noes on this one I completely fell in love with it. I have to come back every to and spray it atleast once, to just enjoy it ! I am getting a beck up bottle, I dont ever want zo run out of it. In my opinion it’s blended to perfection and the true definition of baklava. Its yum and delicious and the honey and the nuts are amazing. Its my current nbr 1 obsession. Its a masterpiece. Get your nose on it, if you are a true gourmand love that doesnt mind when it smells foodie ! Its a compliment getter too.

I just got mine in the mail today and this is simply delicious. Nutty, vanilla, amber, floral goodness. I love the way it morphs on my skin hitting all the notes. I feel it is perfectly cozy and comforting for this cold weather. The dry-down is beautiful on my skin, sultry. I will definitely be wearing it a lot this winter. I can see wearing it during nights out on the town for sure. Easily unisex. I believe this would be very sexy on a man too. Great job Gabby and Bertrand 😊

Love it! It's like a less cloying/syrupy sweet version of Girl of Now. Feels lighter and fresher - has a slightly airy and effervescent quality during the first hour that I'm surprised by (probably thanks to the floral + citrus?). Really happy with the blind purchase. Not sure about longevity yet, maybe 5 hours(?) but I haven't timed it (I'm also a 2-3 spray kind of person).

Perfectly unisex. All of the notes blend wonderfully together to create a sweet honey + nutty scent. (For what it's worth, I am not usually even a fan of honey in fragrance.) The tonka bean also adds a nice touch. The sillage and longevity are there, but it's not beast mode. Instead it's tastefully done, subtly permeating the air and lingering on you like a second skin.

If you listen to some of the poor reviews here, girl you will never buy any fragrance. THIS is delicious!!! It’s blind buy safe. So smooth, soft, creamy with the right amount of sweetness!!! So freaking good. If you like Sol de Janeiro 62, this is the Wealthier Sexier Mother, Father of that! The pistachio we needed! Feminine asf! But a sexy man will pull it any day.

This was a blind buy for me. At first spray it was a like. My first big wear, lots of sprays, it was a love. Very pistachio forward to me. Not overly sweet. I had great performance and amazing sillage. Tons of compliments. Again, through and through I’m getting pistachio, the other notes are there to support. It does not smell or remind me of baklava, but I love it.

After blind buying Miel Extase I discovered that I really don’t like strong honey accords in fragrances (I guess it depends what is mixed with) so I was a bit apprehensive about getting this one...just arrived today and OMG it’s amazing, I LOVE IT! This is honey done right to me personally! So happy👍🏼❤️ great job Gabby!! ❤️

Baklava? Where? This is a very yummy pistachio almond scent, and I really like - but in no way is this baklava. (yea, that for a name? -- r e a c h!) Yes, it does kind of smell like Sol de Janiero, but a lot nuttier. Definitely gourmand. (*if you are looking for Baklava - seek and sample Zaharoff Aurum)

OMG this is better than I had expected, was worried that I wouldn’t like this but instead I love this!!! This fragrance is phenomenal, for me it was blind buy safe and full bottle worthy. This is a true gourmande!!! Baklava Royale is a well blended put together fragrance with all the right notes. 😍

Sooo pretty. Nutty, soft, sweet, clean. It’s gourmand but doesn’t smell like food. It reminds me a lot of Naughty Nonna by Snif. I think it’s more expensive smelling than any of the sol de janeiro scents. Full bottle worthy. I can see this working as a year round fragrance. Not cloying or dense.

I am obsessed with this wow it is incredible!!! 1000/10. This is best smelling Navitus fragrance. Trust me if you want to buy anything from Navitus, just get this one. It smells so sweet and delicious and elegant and ADDICTIVE. In love obsessed and I got 4 compliments today when I wore it!

Man oh Man! This is delicious, scrumptious and everything that I have been craving! Spot on Baklava without being too "foody"! I paired this with Sol De Janiero Bum Bum Cream underneath..CHEF's KISS! Literally top 3 buys of the year for me. Gabby well done!!

This is amazing its one of my favorite fragrances this year. The scent LASTS DAYS on clothing. I passed by my laundry basket and the LONGEVITY is CRAZY. Its still going strong on the shirt I spritzed it on. I just bought a full bottle I'm so happy.

My top fall/winter scent. I get compliments everywhere I go, this is a BEAST MODE fragrance. If you wanna smell like a delicious honey pistachio baklava, then get this. Long lasting as well. Worth every scent. Not bad for the price.

Love at first sniff. Not cloyingly sweet, just right. And the nutty note is just divine. Will keep you sniffing for hours! This is something you can wear all year round since it’s not too foody.

I get a hint of ambrosia imperiale at initial blast. Then it morphs into a mixture of Girl of Now, Kilian Rolling in Love and Kayali Yum Pistachio. Very good. I would like a full bottle.

My favourite Navitus to date! Stunning fragrance

This was my first Navitus fragrance and I’m not disappointed! It’s such a beautiful, dry, nutty, delicious perfume. It is very gourmand but not in the slightest too heavy or too sweet, in fact to me this is not to be categorized as a sweet perfume. To me this leans more towards nutty and woody than sweet but then again I’m used to sickly sweet perfumes. BR has just the perfect amount of sweetness to balance the other notes. This is an elegant, grown up gourmand that somehow manages to stay very sophisticated while still giving me my dose of edibleness that I desperately crave in fragrances in winter. I’d say this I a masterpiece since I have not smelled anything like this. Yes Cheirosa 62 is in the same family but that one does not do it for me like BR does. Baklava Royale makes me feel luxurious, cozy, and elegant while still a little bit edible. I mostly get nuttiness in the form of pistachios and almonds, together with a base of vanilla and amberwood and the slightest hint of honey and florals. It has some depth to it. I don’t know how they managed to make this such a realistic baklava dessert perfume without making it sticky, sickly sweet and too much. It’s beautiful! I’ve had my bottle for a few weeks now and it’s getting better and better every time I spray it. It’s not a beast mode projector but well above moderate on me and it has gotten stronger since I got it. I wouldn’t really want a beast mode gourmand since it tends to be a little bit too much sometimes so I’m perfectly happy with this. Longevity is also good. Very well blended fragrance and a successful blind buy, yay!

BR has earned its reputation as the luxurious gourmand masterpiece of the bunch and for good reason. Even though the crescent‐shaped bottle of its affordable Paris Corner dupe counterpart, Mehwish, often gets the attention (and yes, I’m one of the people who actually loves that design), BR reminds you that true luxury is all about what’s inside. The first time I sprayed BR on my skin, I was genuinely transported. The opening is a stunning, indulgent blend of almond and honey - rich, sweet and dripping with the kind of nutty warmth you only find in a perfectly crafted baklava. It’s lush without being too heavy and it immediately draws you in. As the scent evolves, creamy pistachio and a soft touch of orange blossom start to bloom, adding refinement and elegance to the gourmand richness. This middle phase is where BR shows its premium craftsmanship - smooth, intricate and seamless. And then there’s the dry-down: a long-lasting embrace of tonka bean, vanilla and amber, with slight incense trail that is lingering throughout, like the sweeter version of Commodity Milk. It feels warm, comforting and addictive, lingering beautifully throughout the day without losing its character. Even though I own both BR and Mehwish, I still find myself reaching for Baklava Royale when I want that extra layer of luxury. Mehwish does an impressive job for its price and even has that eye-catching crescent bottle but BR also have impressive golden bottle presentation and carries a depth and polish that set it apart as the original.

I love a sugary, gourmand perfume with some deeper notes to keep it interesting, so I've been fixating on getting my hands on this, but after all my excitement...it's fallen rather flat. This perfume is the equivalent of when you're cooking and you can't quite place why the flavors aren't popping and there's an ingredient missing. It's just bland and not even overly sweet, I get a warm spiciness on the opening, honey, an oily nuttiness and a woody note on the end, but every layer resonates at the same level for me. I think if the floral or citrus was stronger it would've really elevated this. She do last though. I put this in my hair and wasn't very impressed, so I added another perfume to it, and this outlasted it despite having a few hours of wear prior. It's a gentle honeyed hum in the background that lasts for hours. There's certainly some potential for layering here.

This does what it says on the tin. It is literal baklava. You get the crisp buttery filo pastry, sweet syrupy honey, all of the nuts, lifted and brightened by orange flower water. A true gourmand from the Queen Of Gourmands, Gabby. Sadly just like bite-size diamonds of baklava, it was over all too soon. On skin it quickly faded leaving a warm nutty residue reminiscent of Cheirosa '62 but in a couple hours it was gone. On clothing it stuck around an extra hour and retained the opening notes longer than my skin did. Disappointing longevity but a spot-on, realistic gourmand treat. This would layer so nicely with Montale's Arabians Tonka but for the price point maybe the body spray would be better to achieve this combo. Sad that this does not stick around like a sticky piece of freshly baked baklava because it smells just like the real thing.

A decent sweet and nutty gourmand, but just a bit too sharp for me. Mainly almond and honey but I do get pistachio and a hint of bergamot. Has minimal sillage and only lasts about 2 hours, but it remains a light skin scent for about 6 hours. Baklava Royale is what you would get if you combined Cheirosa 62 and Elie Saab's Girl of Now, amping up the almond and honey, and then enveloping the resulting decadent delight into a veil of orange blossom. The opening is disrupted by the same rough, pungent note which prevails among all Navitus creations I've tried, but soon enough the fragrance settles, and it's quite lovely as it does so. It's smoother and creamier than Girl of Now, and more elegant than Cheirosa. It doesn't remind me of classic baklava, which is achingly sweet, but rather a lighter, milky version - I believe it's called cold baklava, or soğuk baklava. I plan on enjoying my decant, but I am not sure I would invest in a full bottle once it's over.

I don't get the hate for this perfume - it is very pretty and feminine. I don't also think it's the same as Cheirosa 62, not at all. The honey and orange blossom here are playing a big role, there is nuttiness but it's more in the background. This perfume is not a full gourmand which i think people were expecting and that's why are so disappointed. It does remind you of the dessert but it is perfumey. It's is in the same family as Jany by Sora Dora but not so dense. It is very long lasting and has a good silage. I bought the bottle with the full intention to resell it for profit because it was at a very good price but decided to keep it, it's just a really nice perfume.

Baklava Royale is more gourmand than I usually go for as I’m not a huge fan of overly sweet scents. I tried it before bed though and it works very nicely on my skin and clothes! It’s definitely not a baklava replica because it’s missing the buttery/crustiness of phylo and the pistachio/almond is very weak. That being said, it does a good job of replicating the syrup portion of baklava: honey, a little bit of citrus, and even though it’s not listed I do catch some spicy notes. On my skin the scent tends to mellow into a more simple vanilla/tonka note within 5ish hours, but the original honey syrup scent stuck around on my sweatshirt for days.

Very similar to the scent of the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream and Cheirosa '62. Baklava Royale has a savory nuttiness from the almond and pistachio and sweetness from the vanilla and honey. I love that almond! The bergamot and orange blossom helps to provide some freshness and airiness so that the overall fragrance isn't sickly sweet or syrupy. The dry down reminds me of pistachio pudding! It really is a delicious scent, but I already have Cheirosa '62, which is a cheapie with excellent performance, so I don't need Baklava Royale. It feels redundant having both. Plus, I don't really care for the gold bottle.

I originally did not like this because it didn't last at all! That and the price in CAD with customs was over $200CAD. I was actually quite mad because I was expecting delicious nutty baklava with orange blossom. I didn't use it again until today. It's now so much better and closer to what I was expecting! It's s nutty, sweet gourmand but not over the top like Cheirosa 68. That is way too strong and headache inducing. I like it but will definitely not be repurchasing. I much prefer Elie Saab Girl of Now for my nutty pistachio scent, as well as any of the Yum Pistachio dupes.

Was expecting this to be much more screechy and in your face. Its definitely a gourmand, rich and nutty with a faint floral overtone but I'm mainly getting the almond and pistachio, mixing with the Tonka. Its nice! I feel a bit uninspired to write anything else about it though so not the best sign haha but its certainly not bad or offensive to my nose. Better than a lot of other samples I've tried but not quite cracking into the favourites list.

I love Gabby and this is nice, but it pulls very buttery on me, as though I’ve melted butter in the microwave and drizzled it over my arm. It’s a no for me sadly. I’ll leave my sample a while to settle and recover from travelling, before I test it again a few times more. Will update this if my opinion changes.

Reviewing the Dapper dupe: The name is spot-on. It smells exactly like baklava—that delicious pistachio dessert soaked in honey. The sweetness is perfectly balanced, not overwhelming at all, making it ideal for wear during warmer weather. It reminds a woodier version of Amande Draguée from Adopt' parfum.

I don't really know what else to say, except that I like it! Dunno if I'm going to get a full bottle but I've definitely been enjoying my sample. I wasn't sure about the nuttiness before I got this but I ended up liking it. It's not too nutty or too thick - it's quite enjoyable overall.

This smells really nice. The honey and pistachio give it a nice touch. It does almost smell pastry like. However, there is something about it that is off putting. I can’t describe it. Sort of screechy. Great longevity. Okay sillage.

Category: Nutty, woody Notes: Pistachio and almond but extremely synthetic to the point where the nuttiness becomes almost woody - reminiscent of paper or sawdust. Hint of vanilla that is also synthetic. Overall a very plasticky, waxy undertone, reminiscent of scented candle wax. After a while the unnatural woody smell turns into more of a sandalwood, but still remains quite plasticky and a little powdery. Vibe: Plastic. Play-doh. Sawmill. Printer paper. Woodworking shop. Wood whittling. Sillage: 3/10. On me this is incredibly intimate, I'd dare say a skin scent. I have to be flush up against the skin to even notice it's there. Longevity: 5/10. Not the best longevity for the price point. Lasted me about 4 hours before it became near indistinguishable. For what I'm expected to pay I expect a better performance than 4 hours. Wear: Day or evening, all year round. I don't think this is particularly autumny or wintery as it lacks the depth and warmth for me. Overall rating: 4/10. I'm sorry but I don't get all the people glazing this. Based off of the notes I genuinely though I'd love this, but it turns out it's a synthetic, unnatural mess. Does it smell like baklava? Not really. Maybe in a very remote way, like if the baklava was made out of play-doh kind of way. Also this isn’t very sweet at all, which I for once was expecting and hoping for, seeing as baklava is extremely sweet and syrupy. But honestly it just smells weird - dry, bordering on woody, while not being woody at all, and nutty but also not and sweet but not enough... genuinely feels like an unfinished thought or the result of a lab spill at the perfumery. Had this had more vanilla in the base and went more syrupy - wet and sweet - and maybe a little more spicy I think it could've worked but as is the composition falls flat. After a few hours of wear this becomes slightly more appealing, but remains synthetic throughout. It also develops a weird powderiness with time that I'm not really a fan of. Is it the most horrible thing I've ever tried? Not at all, but I'm incredibly glad that I only bought a sample - considering the insane price point on this baby I would've had some serious buyer's remorse had I went out and blind bought an entire bottle of this. Who would wear it?: Fergie.

This one is for the sweet lovers. It’s not necessarily feminine, but my wife enjoyed it more than I did. It’s a sweet scent from the opening all the way to the dry down. The opening has a sweet, almost liquor-like smell. It's almost like a Rum cake - a sweet liquor dessert. As it dries down, it settles and becomes less powerful. For an extrait de parfum, I initially thought the performance wasn't good enough. It seemed to fade into a skin scent after about 4 hours. However, at the end of the day, about 11–12 hours later, my wife still picked it up in the air and said I smelled really good, which surprised me. Maybe I went nose-blind, but either way, it seems to be a long-lasting scent. Overall, it’s not bad, but I’m not crazy about it. It could be cloying for some people, so I’d recommend sampling first.

I’m so torn about this. On one hand, it does smell like baklava and it also smells way more like pistachio than either DS and Durga Pistachio or Kayali Pistachio Gelato. But, it also has the same dark vanilla/ambery base as Vanilla Powder, Vanilla Era, and so many other recent releases which I don’t really like. Unfortunately, the base overpowers the almond/pistachio, but I’ll let it macerate more and then see how I feel. I’m a bit skeptical of the idea that you HAVE to let Navitus perfumes macerate, but I’ll give it a try.

Big ol' burst of pistachio pudding in the opening followed by a fleeting hush of citrus, before the entire heart and base whip into a blend. That's not to say it's linear at all, but all the middle and base notes are powerhouse notes, so there's really no slow arrivals. The entire evolution is lent from the middle notes slowly ebbing away. Which is fine. It's thoroughly modern, with a buttercream frosting vibe, not really my thing but it's pleasant enough and cozy-cuddly.

Not what I expected, this is not that gourmand on me. And nothing like the delicious Sol De Janeiro mists or EDP. This has some smokines (especially in the opening) and soapiness to me, and florals are present. So not just the nuts and the honey. I think it would be the most appealing to those with Middle East background. Not for me. Does not radiate far, but lasting power is impressive.

I’m not sure if I like this or not. The opening is VERY sharp and slightly unpleasant, but it improves as it dries down. It’s warm, spicy, and very sweet - I wouldn’t call this a true gourmand, although the honey gives it a very sticky-sweet feel. It definitely feels like a middle eastern inspired scent. The longer it stays on my skin however, the more sour and synthetic it becomes.

This is not at all a dupe for Italica Xerjoff. But it does have that same coying almond note. There's so much to love about this fragrance but it's just not for me. I'm gonna give it time and sit with it and maybe I'll come back with a changed mind. I do respect that this is quite the unique fragrance. Good quality And a great offering to the fragrance community.
