Chocolate Queen

Ok so after letting this macerate it’s true beauty finally shined through, and it’s oh so beautiful! When it first arrived I wasn’t completely inlove with it and I thought it smelt a bit harsh and chemically. But now after letting it sit for a whole month I am absolutely inlove with this decadent fudgy dessert. Ok so I will write this review as I smell it so I can give the most accurate description. 🍫🌰🥛 It smells exactly like a warm milky chocolate fudge. The chocolate in this is very realistic, creamy, milky and buttery smooth. Imagine glossy melted chocolate that you just melted on the stove! This is exactly that. It’s not a cocoa powder smell like montale chocolate greedy for example. A few minutes later, you start to really smell a sweet and nutty hazelnut coming through and giving it a bit of a kick along with some almonds. You also get a slight booze in the background all throughout the entire scent. Later on when it completely dries down, you will be left with a woody caramel & vanilla combination of goodness! Sooo delicious😍 Gabby definitely came through with an amazing and unique gourmand👏🏼 Also this doesn’t smell like any other chocolate scent, but if you have smelt dolce passione this has a similar milky chocolate aspect but in no way are they dupes! The latter is a truffle and strawberry scent and this is a fudgy caramelly milky chocolate. After giving it the full month to bloom, I will confirm that it became much more long lasting and its projection has doubled! Definitely give this a try if you love chocolatey and decadent gourmands. Also if you bought this one recently and you are not liking it, please give it some time to bloom and macerate because I also felt the same way when it first arrived and it started smelling amazing at week 3. It reached full potential at week 4. I realised I got carried away and this review is now long but if you read this far then thank you❤️

I love Chocolate Queen! 🥰 It is a woody chocolate scent on an ambery base. The most prominent notes I smell are dark chocolate and fudge, but they are balanced by the sandalwood and amberwood. The chocolate softens over time and the vanilla starts to come out more, but the chocolate never completely goes away. The other gourmand notes are so well blended that I can't detect them individually. In the drydown, the amberwood base is more noticeable and smells like a molecular amber to me. On skin, I get 6-8 hours and on clothes I get 12+ hours. Projection is moderate (within arms length), which I like because I never want to overwhelm others with beast mode fragrances. I like to be more considerate and polite with my fragrances, but I still want to be able to smell it on myself. Chocolate Queen is delicious, but is not a literal gourmand, which I am so happy about it. I love fragrances that are gourmand-ish, but do not smell like literal food. Chocolate Queen has enough of a gourmand touch to satisfy my gourmand craving, but does not go overboard to smell like a walking dessert. For that reason, I feel like Chocolate Queen is appropriate for any season, any occasion, and any time of day. I've been wearing it everyday for the past few weeks and it has become an easy reach because it always feels appropriate for wherever I'm going or whatever I'm doing. I even wear it to bed because I constantly want to smell it 😁 As far as comparisons go, I honestly can't think of anything that it smells like. Chocolate Queen is unique and doesn't smell like other chocolate fragrances and I am not reminded of anything when I smell it. I know Gabby mentioned it was her goal to create a fragrance that didn't smell like anything already on the market and in my opinion she succeeded at that 😊

I heard Chocolate Queen from Navitus was a just another basic chocolate gourmand fragrance. I got a decant in and did my own sniff test and determined that for me, it was nothing close to basic. If heaven had a section called the Chocolate Room, this is what it would smell like. I love almonds and I felt like angels from heaven had somehow harvested organic spun sugar and nuts and landed them on my skin. It smells so good it boosted my confidence. I BOLDLY proclaimed that I was wearing Chocolate Queen and it emboldened me made me feel like I was THEE CHOCOLATE QUEEN. Yes its a gourmand but it isnt overly syrup sweet. Its like unrefined cocoa powder. Juuuuuust the way I like it. Im beginning to think that Jesus Himself told the perfumer Bertrand Duchafour, "Follow My directions bc I love My daughter Joy and I want you to create something spectacular that she will enjoy. I know what she likes." Im very particular about how I like my hot chocolate. I dont like it very chocolatey. I cant have it made with syrup and I want it extremely creamy made with milk not water. Chocolate Queen has that lactonic touch that I crave in my hot chocolate. This is nothing short of divine for me. It doesnt say that it has coconut in the notes but I feel like it has freshly shaved pieces of coconut whipped in the background tickling me just for my fancy. I will graduate to a fb soon!

This was my first chocolate fragrance and although I had smelled some other fragrances with a chocolate note in them I will admit I wasn’t a fan. I wanted to support Gabby so I blind bought it. The first couple of days I thought meh. After the third day I fell hard like in love head over heals obsessed. I am so grateful that I continued to try this perfume. It’s so good so rich so decadent and creamy. It’s so long lasting and it projects. It’s the perfect layering fragrance to add to other perfumes to add that perfect touch of chocolate and creaminess. I have layered this with florals, leathers, other gourmands, and citruses it’s amazing. Just amazing! I love wearing it alone as well. It’s the perfect comforting and cuddling perfume. My husband loves it, my kids love it. It has quickly become a staple and top tier -can’t live without it in my collection. Gabby did so great! This is a masterpiece, I’m glad she didn’t add florals or citruses or fruits that way we can add those notes from other perfumes by layering. I love that it’s not too complex and stays almost the same from top to base. 10/10 from me, I’m in love with and grateful for this magnificent juice! This and siesta drive are my top favorites!

I received my Navitus Chocolate Queen today so here we go: the first note I smell is the dark chocolate, its very prominent and it definitely smells more masculine for the first few minutes so I was not sure at first..I think I expected instant sweetness. However... the dry down...oh my this scent is beautiful. It smells clean and fresh with a hint of chocolate and hazelnut. Not overly sweet thankfully, but just sweet enough to lean more feminine. I don't bother spraying my skin as NO perfume lasts on my skin, so I spray my clothes - too early to comment on longevity yet I will need to let the perfume sit for a few weeks at least anyway. I have not stopped sniffing myself though! This was a blind buy for me because all of the notes are what I adore! I would say this is a safe blind buy. Run, don't walk! EDIT: projection is pretty rubbish, but I would not expect a chocolate scent to be beast mode, it does last for around 6 hours. I sprayed a jumper with it liberally, but I could not smell the perfume on my jumper the next day. So its a very subtle scent...I would expect more from an extrait parfum but apart from this it is still a stunning perfume and I am tempted to purchase a back-up bottle!

I've been looking for another chocolate fragrance to add to my collection. This caught attention because it is created by the great BD. My first thought was that it going to be way too sweet for me. The opening was rich, chocolatey and slightly lactonic. The shine on my skin confirmed extrait strength. Not as sweet as I feared. A bit chemically which was a bit disappointing. Thankfully, it improves a bit quite quickly. I swear I detected something that made me think of sweet tobacco. That fades and now I'm transported back in time and into the local sweet shop buying some coconut/toffee teacake sweets. There is no chocolate in these yummy confections. CQ now has a more coconut/sugary vibe. Before I know it changes again with sweet tobacco coming through again. It's quite a Willy Wonka scent. It takes you on a wild sweet olfactory journey that closes with more of a bitter almond vibe. Im still a bit crazy for Wicked Good though. I better add that Im a vegetarian and I've tested this confectionary delight in a 6 degree room. Impressive longevity and moderate sillage. If you are after a unisex, chocolate/coconut/tobacco gourmand then worth testing.

This to me is gourmand unisex perfection! I initially smelled this in the discovery kit but it was definitely not a love at first sniff. Upon testing, I found the scent similar to Angel Muse by Mugler - but without the patchouli note. Something pungent, and not for me. However, I revisited a couple of weeks later and I kept going back for more. I just wanted to smell like Chocolate Queen. A few weeks later, I caved and purchased a bottle. I might add that I am very pleased that I did. Chocolate Queen is a delectable scent with a subtle boozy nature (from the Irish Cream accord). It has moderate longevity with the sillage being loud at first and then softening over time. I also really like to wear this to bed as I find it comforting and cozy. I would recommend this to people who are a fan of the Angel line, or those looking to explore gourmands but don’t want to walk around all day smelling like a vanilla pound cake. Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 7/10

Hands down to the BEST chocolate fragrance I have ever found -along with Gourmand Coquin of course-. Chocolate Greedy is characterised by a beautiful blend of buttery sweet chocolate with creamy woods. It's decadent, classy, sweet in the best possible way -like a box of fine chocolate-, slightly boozy and sophisticated. The woody accord of sandalwood and amberwood brings down the sweetness of the perfume, making it much more wearable. I must confess I'm not keen on gourmands -neither on the whole experience of smelling like sugary syrup- but this is such a gem; pleasant enough to sweeten my senses without being overwhelming. Sillage is quite strong and longevity is 8-12hrs on my skin. Please note you need to leave your bottle to macerate, as the blend gets stronger overtime. Thank you Gabby for such a lovely chocolate perfume.

This. Oh yeah. I get it all & it comes to me in different stages. First moment after spraying... don't stick your face in it right away. Give it five minutes. I get the top of the dark chocolate & the nuttiness. Like a bougier version of a chocolate turtle candy. At around half an hour I get the fudge & it's very much different than the chocolate at the opening. The caramel & bailey's irish cream in the mids. I don't really get the praline distinctly, more as a background with the other nutty notes. The amber base with sandalwood comes in on me at about three hours & becomes not exactly a skin scent, but a close bubble & the vanilla becomes way more noticeable toward the end. It is extrait strength, but more adult & reserved. I can't wait to rock this for the holidays. For me, three sprays was plenty to make a statement.

I find this fragrance intoxicating. It was not a love at first sniff for me, but the more I wear it, the more I fall in love with it. I have a large collection, and I really can't compare this to anything in my wardrobe. The notes I pick up most are the chocolate, hazelnut, and Irish cream. I smell hints of the dulce de leche, bitter almond, and caramel. It's a gourmand that is not overly sweet and doesn't smell too much like food. It's unisex leaning feminine. Lasts me through a whole 8 hour work shift.

Subtle fudgey chocolate notes on a bed of creamy sweetness. Definitely a chocolate scent, hints of nutty notes and woody notes at base. The scent sits close, no throw. I blind bought Chocolate Queen, and to be honest, it did not wow me. However, the more I wore it -- the more it grew on me. It is a nice sweet chocolatey gourmand fragrance that is well made, very well blended. I wish it was a bit stronger and had more sillage.

Chocolate Queen is a delicious gourmand. It's decadent, I get so much of the dark chocolate, dulce de Leche and Irish cream with a slight nuttiness from the bitter almond. I was annoyed that I had to wait a month for it to macerate properly but I blame Navitus for that, not Gabby. Either way, I now love this perfume and it's in my top 3 chocolate perfumes of all time with Angel Muse and Theodoros Kalotinis Velvet Chocolate 🍫😍

The name says it all. It opens with a delicious dark chocolate, then you get the hazelnut and Irish cream. It is delicious! Definitely sweet and decadent but not sticky sweet at all. Plus the Irish cream note along with the sandalwood makes it amazingly creamy in the dry down. The best part is the chocolate lasts throughout the life of the fragrance. The perfect gourmand for winter! I’m obsessed with this fragrance.

The notes make this a gorgeous fragrance in my opinion and I got beast mode performance with it on my skin for a night. Woke up with the intoxicating smell of dark chocolate with praline, hazelnut, and dulce de leche. But in a wearable way that could make for any occasion. Except maybe not extreme heat. But as a gourmand fan, this is done well. I’d probably wear it anyway lol.

Chocolate Queen is going to reign a long time in the gourmand fragrance category. It is an absolutely stunning, authentic chocolate smelling fragrance without it being overly sweet, or overly gourmand. CQ is beautifully blended, and it’s ADDICTIVE. The more I wear it, the more I WANT to wear it. It’s one of the fragrances that has done that for me.

Wow! I didn’t want to fall for the hype but I’ve gotta say this is one of the best smelling perfumes I’ve bought in a minute. Boozy deep decadent chocolate. The Irish cream gives it that “umph”. I have a ton of chocolate fragrances and I must say this is unique. I bought a second bottle immediately. Very well done!

I don’t own this fragrance YET however both my sister and my friend do I love, the fact that it is not overly sweet, but does Pull very Belgian dark chocolate a tiny bit powdered OMG this it truly intoxicating to me I really need this in my collection I truly cannot wait till it back in stock😍😍 well done grabby

I bought this based on the notes and was really hoping it was not to feminine, just came in and I sprayed it and wow, this is boozy chocolate to perfection. And too me very unisex thanks to the boozy part. men do not be afraid to buy. This is so delicious smelling people will want to eat you up!

Dear I say this may be my favorite chocolate booze- I really enjoy this fragrance. On a side note, this does smell very similar to the sister company Vivamor's Dark Indulgence - BUT this does not smell like BBW Coffee & Whiskey. The longer it sits the better the aroma.

I love this perfume. It does change a bit on my skin, the Sandlewood really come out on me, however, spray it on your clothes and the scent doesn't change. It really is a lovely fragrance!

@fairymeist, This does not smell like Chocolate Greedy. However- what in Chocolate Greedy do you hate? - if it is the chocolate, than you may be out of luck with this fragrance.

This is ok. To my nose, it's a weak version of Dolce Passione. It really does smell just like it but WAYYYYY toned down. I'm not getting good performance from it TBH.

Beautiful and delicious gourmand, I love it! Sweet but not too much, a little boozy but just a hint. A well made perfume that I really enjoy!

Consider this review as a semi first impressions. I am fairly certain this is the only chocolate perfume I have ever tried but I really like it overall. Straight out of the atomizer, I do not get any dulce de leche. The dark chocolate, hazelnut and Irish cream are what are most immediately present to me. I'm not normally a fan of super boozy notes and they're easy to overdo to my nose but I wouldn't say this is an overdone alcohol note at all. It doesn't overwhelm or make me feel like I've spilt Irish cream all over, though I think the Irish cream does make it feel much more of a night time fragrance. (Though you could spray it about an hour before leaving the house and then it could totally be a cold weather day scent. The Irish cream does start to fade after about 45 minutes.) The dry down though where it transforms into a scent I really enjoy and it is my favorite part of the fragrance. The fudge, caramel, vanilla, and almond notes work together so well without being over the top. The longevity of this is great on my skin and I will still catch whiffs of it 6-8 hours later.

I got this today and it is very interesting. For some reason the initial spray reminds me of a peppermint patty even though there is nothing that leans towards mint, so not sure why I'm getting that. If I sit there and focus I def get all the different notes, including the base notes even at the beginning. This is a very nice and well made fragrance. It's complex and has me continuously reaching for the paper it's sprayed on to smell it. I still need to spray it on myself...which I will do an update later. For now though, I bought this as a blind buy and I am very happy with it. This leans feminine but I consider it unisex because it's not super gourmand, and that spicy kick I'm getting from the sandalwood, Amberwood, and boozy notes makes it lean either direction. I would consider this a cold weather, night scent...though I'll be trying it out in all weather and wearing it more than likely during the day.

I’m not sure why it took this site so long to add this fragrance. I found I needed to let it settle and macerate for the fragrance to develop more. It is not overly sweet. I would say it’s about about a 5 out of 10 for sweetness and that’s not a bad thing. It’s like a semi-sweet dark chocolate cake with hints of the Dulce de leche, Caramel and Vanilla. You get a lot of the dark chocolate as that is the most prominent note all the way through. It is an adult gourmand as it is not overly sweet. It lasts about five to six hours and that was just spraying my hand to test it again. To sweeten it up, I would layer it with Vaniglia. 5 out of 10 for sweetness 6 out of 10 for longevity 5 out of 10 for projection

This is amazing! Not a fun perfume. Not youthful. Chocolate Queen is serious and mature. Its a big deal because if youve smelled other renditions of chocolate in perfume; a spectrum exist, one extreme the eatible candy chocolate like Montale Chocolate Greedy to other extreme herbaceous chocolate bitter. ChocQue is in the middle. This should be at the too sweet end of spectrum because of all the food notes. I smell unlisted aromatic florals. I get salt and butter. Like salt and butter inside microwave popcorn bags heated. I smell the woods, it help balance fragrance keep it mature /serious and something to wear.

I have a similar experience as Rowena. I wanted to love this so much! I am in Canada, so this is very pricy and there are duties on top of the high price. This was around $180CAD. I fail to understand how this can be an extrait and is still so WEAK! Oakcha is an extrait and you can tell. This, I sprayed 8x and can barely smell it. U should be choking myself out with that many sprays. Same with Venom of Love. I love the scent profile, but WHY IS IT SO WEAK? Will let it macerate and hope that it will make it stronger. As of now, I am done with Navitus. Way overpriced for mediocre performance and expensive.

I appreciate that this is a chocolate scent without spices, since that’s the typical pairing I see. And without an equal or greater amount of vanilla. I’ve sampled enough that I don’t think I’m going to find the perfect cacao-floral scent I hunted for for awhile. This uncomplicated chocolate scent is the best alternative. Maybe a bit flat by itself but simple enough to be versatile for layering. I’m definitely a fan. Gotta give honorable mention to Rihanna Rebelle in the chocolate category though.

The initial blast is pure Tootsie Rolls for me. As it dries down, it reminds me of chocolate candies at the bottom of your Halloween candy pail. Woody, powdery, bittersweet chocolate. I was surprised to see the notes list mentioning creamy notes as I don't get any of that at all. There's a couple mocha scented Bath and Body Works spray that smell similar to this, admittedly. So I'm unsure if I can justify the price, BUT, the name and bottle are amazing.

I'm surprised this does not have Ambroxen or Saffron in it. I hate to say this, because it does not smell like BR540, but it does have a BR540 vibe it has that airy quality. It's a powdery nutty chocolate scent that's slightly airy. It smells good, but I'm not obsessed with it. I layer it with Venom of Love and they smell amazing together.

Seems to be quite true to the notes, nice chocolate scent with Bailey's Irish Cream type notes. I think there's a Dua original that smells like this. Might be their Chocolate Affair or Belgian Choco Truffle. Loud sillage and strength. Fairly unisex

This is a very refined gourmand! I’ve had a chocolate perfume that just smelled like boom straight chocolate which I mean...it’s what I wanted but this is a chocolate fragrance! There’s depth and layers. All gourmand but it develops. Pretty nice.

Smells like a more nutty, watered down version of Profumum Roma, Sorriso. If you love this fragrance but want less nutty and a Lot more performance, get a sample of Sorriso. You're welcome.

One of the most true and edible milk chocolate scents I've ever experienced. A nip of booze gives this a gentle nudge from just chocolate bar into mature gourmand.

Well aware that I must be in a minority here but I am not too impressed with this... Or should I say not impressed if what you are expecting is a gourmandise aromatic chocolatey exprecience. When I see people here compare this to milk chocolate and fudge and caramel and Dulce di Leiche I wonder if we have the same perfume? I do see those notes are supposed to be in there. But that is not what I get. Now to be fair a fragrance containing all the notes from this description above would for sure on paper be incredibly alluring for all the sweet tooth’s out there (like myself included) But perhaps if you would mix all those things good at the same time in a large bowl you might end up in like a muddy mess... So it might actually be a good thing that is not what Chocolate Queen is all about, But be warned - if you are looking for whiffs of each of these indulgent notes listed above, they will be hard to find. But thankfully this is also not just a sweet muddy mess either... Now I adore Bertrand Duchaufour as a perfumer and I can in a way appreciate what he has created here as it is a very mature version of something with a hint of chocolate. The chocolate here is the darkest kind you can find that almost when you break it creates a cloud of dust due to the high cacao content. If I am honest there is also something a tiny bit artificial about the cacao note that reminds me of chocolate scented erasers of my childhood in the late 70’s and early 80’s. In essence something plasticky. This cacao note is then combined with a cup of coffee. Chocolate Queen has a strong coffee note as in a cup of coffee, not coffee powder. And something aromatically boozy like a bitter rum or a bitter almond liqueur of some sort (could be baileys which is listed, but I do not get that at all until the late dry down). Or perhaps it is a glass of warm irish coffee or some version of it with a bit of chantilly cream on top resting on a prominent bed of what I would guess could be the amberwood - sandalwood mix if that is a woody note that also harbours a bit of sourness to it which almost brings out a tobaccoish note for me like smelling an aromatic cigar with a tobacco containing a hint of cacao in its aroma, if that makes sense. While sitting in a comfortable chair leaning in over a rustic wooden table. That is the impression and image I get from this fragrance. It is from a composition point of view quite elegant. And to me leaning a bit masculine and comforting in its complexity. On me this is not very sweet. Quite the contrary it is cacao and coffeee leaning more towards the bitter side of these notes. Which makes it sophisticated but a lot less dessert and sweet and as far away from milk chocolate as anything can come if you ask me. Now the perception of chocolate can differ from not only person to person, but can also differ between parts of the world. I mean there is cacao powder, and then there is super aromatic indulgent chocolatey cacao powder that makes your mouth water. And there is a difference between a bar of 90% cacao dark chocolate you buy from the health store and the indulgent lovely kind you get from a chocolate boutique in a European city... They are worlds apart. Just as different cacao powders also can be. And in chocolate queen you get the health food store kind of chocolate if you ask me. In essence not a praline in sight. Nor any caramel sauce like Dulce di leiche and no cacao butter or chocolate butteryness. And as far as creamy ness goes it is more watery with perhaps a light touch of chantilly cream on top of an Irish coffee with some dark cacao powder sprinkled on top served or mixed in with the coffee with a nice Havana cigar resting beside you on the table or with a humidor opened near by... If that kind of sophistication is what you are looking for then this may be quite a nice version of it. Not Duchaufours most interesting composition perhaps but a solid one still. But if you were looking for a girly or feminine or sweet tooth satisfying chocolatey gourmand indulgence that makes your mouth water and offers an uncontrollable craving for something chocolatey sweet with creamy milk chocolate or at least sweetened dark chocolate - then you will not find that here. At least not what I as a European mean when I say sweet chocolate indulgences. And if that is what you are looking for then you will likely be quite disappointed with the Chocolate queen. Now as far as performance goes this offers very light projection and sillage on me and is more the kind of scent that stays closer to the skin. I think I could find this rather enticing on a man if he smelled like this when I was leaning closer to him... Like making a statement but not trying too hard. On me I have to overspray this and top it up every three hours or so as one spray on my skin will not stay there for more than 3-4 hours. I do also sometimes go a bit nose blind (temporarily anosmic) to this fragrance and it can disappear on me completely if I spray it side by side with something else from a similar note family with a stronger projection. The later dry down of this will bring out a bit more sweetness. But not sweetness as in sweet chocolate, but more sweetness as in a sugar cube dipped in the coffee. But as it becomes more faint the sweetness will prevail more than the other notes together with the powderyness of the very dry cacao. The dry down is therefore not overly impressive but rather bland... All in all I say this is for sure not a safe blind buy. And I find it overpriced for what you get. I bought this during a period when they offered 40% (or was it even 45%) off your whole purchase when you bought four or more fragrances. And before they raised their prices quite a lot which happened not too long ago... and even at that largely discounted price I’d say they still feel a bit overpriced for what you get. It seems to me that compositions are a little bit rushed through to keep up a high tempo of releases which makes the end results feel less exclusive and less well thought through. I do however think the idea of collaborating with chosen influencers to be a good idea. But perhaps that also pushes the deadlines a bit too much to be able to create anything really unique or memorable? If one is looking for a more interesting but still mature and sophisticated chocolate fragrance I would point towards Akro Dark. Which is a lot more indulgent and yet even more elegant.

I actually like it. I feel it's not me though. Like I like the smell but it doesn't feel like me when I put it on. A little heavy. Like I'm a very very light fragrance girl. So if you like rich deep fragrances you will probably like this. I like florals, citrus, and some fruits a lot and i'm trying to branch out into other things. I mean the heaviest perfume I own after this is Pure Poison by Dior. So you can see I'm a light weight. I don't feel I have anything I can layer it with either because I have basically light florals. And it says it's unisex and I can see that. I did feel it was a more masculine chocolate but my husband said he wouldn't wear it :(. He owns one fragrance. Bleu de Chanel. Guess we're sort of airy fragrance people. LOL. But it is a nice scent. Just not my personality. Hope this makes sense. I feel a fragrance has to fit your personality.

i think if you love chocolate this must be amazing, but unfortunately for me i do not LMAO. that is 100% on me for getting a perfume called "chocolate queen," so do not take it as an overall criticism, bc it wholly accomplishes what it sets out to do. i like chocolate, but moreso as a background note in harmony with others - here it is front and center. literally smells like i fell into a river of melted fudge mixed with bailey's irish cream. if that sounds like heaven for you then dive in!! if it sounds too rich, then you might be like me and prefer something like al-rehab's choco musk - which is still pure chocolate, but lighter and not boozy at all. overall rating: 🩷🩷💔🖤🖤 2.5/5

I tested a sample from the Discovery Kit and I was taken aback by the opening - I was expecting an immediate rich, sweet gourmand chocolate but I detected a strong, perfumey bergamot in the opening. perhaps it is the hazelnut or bitter dark chocolate and or bitter almond but it doesn't really seem like any of those - straight up bergamot which isn't listed. Then it dries down to a milkier, powdery chocolate but I'm not getting the butteriness or sweetness that others describe. Might need a bigger sample to give it some time. Not what I was expecting.

In the opening, it really smells like tootsie roll, but also i get strong after shave like smell, slight woodiness at the same time. In the drydown, the sweetness, i guess from praline, peeks through. I dont think i get any of the other notes. The thing is with a name like Chocolate Queen i was expecting a strong, deep and dark maybe even bitter chocolate. I am not getting much of that and i have to say i am dissapointed. I dont agree with other reviewers saying this isnt sweet, it is very sweet to my nose, though not sickeningly sweet.

I know this will get down voted, and it is probably just my nose but this had a fresh basil smell and also a citrusy smell in the background. Yes it is a decent chocolate fragrance but I can’t get past the two notes I just mentioned. Something must be wrong with my nose because everyone else seems to be getting a milk chocolate and I’m upset about not getting that. I also let it macerate for 2 months now and still the same. I don’t think it’s the safest blind buy

Blind buy disappointment for me. Hopefully it just needs to macerate. For some reason this smells like chocolate mint on me. Not sure where the mint is coming from. Reminds me of an Andes Candy. I love to eat them but don’t want to smell like them.

This is a SUPER SPICY chocolate. Its completely different from what I expected. It has pretty decent longevity and sillage but when I purchase a chocolate, I want CHOCOLATE, not fruit or spice just chocolate. So I sold my bottle.
