Élan Noir

I blind bought this perfume due to the endless positive reviews. I am a huge fan of cherry scents and own quite a few. This is nothing like "Lost Cherry (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford" or "Venom of Love (Extrait de Parfum) | Navitus Parfums". It’s along the same kind of vibe as "Narcotic Delight | Initio" or "Nirvana | Paradis des Sens", although they are all still different and unique to each other. Elan Noir was a love at first sniff for me. It’s a truly stunning scent that’s soft, sexy and sophisticated. It’s a little sweet, a little sour, a little spicy even. I can smell a mix of sweet and sour cherry liqueur with a slightly creamy, slightly powdery vanilla. It’s the far, far dry down I’m not loving currently. The cherry and vanilla fade and the sandalwood takes over. To my nose it comes across as a smokey Oud. It’s bearable but I hate Oud scents. Hopefully this is just due to shipping shock, but something to bear in mind if you’re considering buying this. This is a very long lasting scent. I could smell it after 10+ hours from the initially spray. I’m still going to say it’s still an overall love. I’ll give my bottle time to recover from shipping, and update my review once I’ve tested it out for longer. Update - it’s now day 3 and already the notes have evened out quite a bit. The smokey Oud type of scent I was experiencing in the far dry down is now a much more enjoyable light sandalwood. The cherry is also remaining more prominent throughout. It just keeps getting better. I’m really pleased with this one. It’s a stunning scent.

Elan noir is sophisticated. I am a lover of a good cherry note and this is cherry done right. Dauchfour and Ricord blended these notes to perfection...talk about a perfect melody! Cheraye has a phenomenal nose! I enjoy the journey that's my nose takes from the opening to dry down. A lot of my favorite notes in here cherry, orange blossom, Turkish rose, Madagascar vanilla, sandalwood. In my opinion this does NOT remind me of TF lost cherry or it's counterparts. When I wear this scent it evokes class, sophistication and sensuality. It's sexy; very come hither. I think of women that possess allure like Eartha Kitt, Elizabeth Taylor, Dorothy Dandridge, Marilyn Monroe, Lena Horne, Diana Ross, Sally Richardson, Scarlett Johansen, Angelina Jolie So far I'm getting 7+ hours of wear and pretty strong sillage. Someone can definitely follow your scent trail. I'm not an occasional girly because every morning I open my eyes is a special occasion but I'd say this is gala worthy. I'm impressed.

I guess I really enjoy sandalwood!! When I first received this, it smelled like a tree had been chopped down and squeezed into my bottle. I couldn’t smell anything else. Weeks later, the wood calmed down and I couldn’t smell anything else but the cherry and it was faint. Now I can smell the cherry a lot more but there is still a lot of sandalwood. I am writing this review bc ELAN NOIRE is my SOTD. It’s very oily and the blanket I was cuddled under absorbed my scent. So, I went to reapply just a little because I really enjoy this a lot! So, I wanted to see if the main note of this fragrance was the sandalwood being supported by the cherry. It is not. Yet, per my bottle and how it wears on me, the sandalwood is the star. This is a sensual, sophisticated & bold unisex fragrance. Addicting. I like it a lot. The sandalwood makes me feel sexy. Only FENTY has ever had this effect on me.

As a well known cherry hater. I purchased this perfume only because I really like Cheraye. I was scared it would smell too syrupy. I must say this is the best cherry perfume I’ve smelled and also the only one I currently have in my collection. It was love at first sniff. When I first received the perfume, I had like 2 sprays and went to my sister’s. My sister and her husband were like what smells this good and gave me money instantly to buy them 2 bottles because they didn’t want to share that one. That’s how good it is. It smells like old money, seductive, main character energy. If you’re scared of a Cherry note like I am, give this one a try.

Love this. A solid, cherry-forward, fruity, oriental, floral fragrance. Opens with a seductive, balsamic sour cherry. There’s a roasted, smoky nut and slightly jammy rose in the mid. I get a powdery rum and cherry coke with a vanilla Kahlua chaser in the drydown. Ive always enjoyed a good cherry, not really a Lost Cherry or juvenile, candied smelling cherry fan, but love Cherry Smoke, Love No Same, Cherry Ambition, basically any cherry with some dark, mature, Smokey, balsamic note in the mix. This is a mysterious, cool girl in dark washed jeans, stilettos, the confidence to be herself because calculated risks can be fun.

This fragrance showcases a prominent cherry note that truly stands out! It's an elegant and sophisticated scent that exudes richness and luxury. The longevity is remarkable, lasting for hours, maybe even days! It's simply incredible. The blend is expertly crafted, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys cherry-forward fragrances. @neciajax I agree this is gala worthy.

I meant to say that this fragrance puts me in the mood for sexy time. 😍 And only FENTY (oxidized ) has had this effect on me. FENTY’s carnal effect is much stronger and way more distracting though. Yeh me! I now have 2 parfums that take me there.

Elán Noir is a heavy hitter. She's not a soft, natural, fresh faced, white Keds wearing girly girl. She's wearing black stilettos and a full beat at 7am, and waiting for you in the conference room for the meeting YOU called. She's unapologetically cherry 🍒 but not at all sweet, very peachy and fresh. I've had her since August, and I was on the fence at first because she was giving high-end fabric softener. Very nice, and the quality is unmistakable, but how do I feel about it? I gave my coworker(who is about 20 years younger than I) a decant; and when she wore it, that's when I decided this is not for young women. It's too classy, too MUCH. She hasn't achieved that smell yet.😂 Fast forward to today... The cherry 🍒 is CHERRY-ing! Still not sweet though. That woody-ness has smoothed out quite a bit and it's even better. I've decided I love Elan...This is a grown woman fragrance. This is life together, no drama, don't call me after 9pm, I travel with shades and one carry on bag energy.

This exquisite fragrance arrived in the most beautiful packaging I’ve received. This golden cherry nectar glistens in an auspicious, opulent golden bottle. I know comparisons are bad, but that’s what you came here to execute. Elan Noir is a superbly crafted amalgamation of Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry and Electric Smoke with a bit of Mind Games’ French Defense incorporated. This is how I layer my perfumes for a cherry evening. Receipt of a 125ml bottle plus a body cream is a steal for $205. If you or a loved one prefers cherry fragrances, this is a no brainer. The packaging alone seals the deal. Love you Cheraye and besties!

If you enjoy sour cherry & peach in your fragrances, this one is for you. I get a lot more peach than I would've like and that mixed with a sour cherry and blackcurrant, it somehow does not satisfy my senses ( a tad too bitter). As a massive cherry scents lover, I could've skipped this release for sure but letting sit for now. For me, it's an okay scent, nothing worth the hefty price tag. If you're looking for a sexy cherry, try Vivamor Cherry Prive !!!

This is a strong, heavy perfume. I don't know why but to my nose it smells like there's oud in there. Since oud is not listed I'll refer to it as sandalwood, but that sandalwood is very strong. There's sweet cherry syrup and woods, that's what I mainly pick up. It's quite headache inducing the more I sniff it off my tester strip, and it also has a ME vibe to it. This is definitely not for me.

This was a blind buy... it’s VERY strong and kind of headache inducing. There’s something very artificial about it... it has a strong shampoo/body lotion vibe that I’m struggling to overcome. Definitely not worth the hype or the price tag! IMHO

I’m genuinely disappointed! This fragrance smells good for the first 10 seconds. The dry down reminds me of RAID bug spray! It is very nauseating 🥺

Yikes. It’s so distasteful to hate on a fragrance just to A be the first review and B give it a nasty negative review when your ignorant self doesn’t even know what it smells like. Respectfully you should keep it to yourself when you know nothing about it. For anyone who reads that review please ignore the ignorance of someone who has never put their nose on the scent. Real fragrance lovers know that a lot of fragrances can have the same notes and smell entirely different. I own like 6 different cherry scents.. even more mango fragrances and they all smell different. They are all their own and I love Cheraye. I plan to be all over Elan Noir. Fragrantica folks really need to stop voting for fragrances that smell alike because most of the time they are false and in this case it’s votes jumping the gun because I doubt any of those votes have even smelled the fragrance to even form an opinion. I cannot wait to see how this scent wears and once I do I’ll be back!

Oooohhhh weeee!!! Aaayyyeee, this is fire and desire in a bottle!! I am wrong for drooling over this masterpiece and I don't want to be right! 🤤 The cherry with the tart cherry and peach is the uplifting nuance i didnt know I needed, but the scent it takes you on a sexy deep roller-coaster with rose and sandalwood, its almost 'suedey' to my nose, slightly animalic and earthy but balances so well with the ever so elegant orange blossom--she's a classy lady with naughty ways in private places 🤭! I'm so in love with this fragrance. Idk what season it was designed for, but I am rocking this allllll year round!! And the performance purs with beautiful sillage all day long. 1 sampled spray lasted on my skin for 6-7hrs before it became a soft skin scent. Magnificent. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I ordered a 2ml sample of this fragrance. This fragrance is a good dupe of Valaya. But not amazing just like Valaya. It's synthetic smelling in a sense that it seems like the perfumers were actually in a lab. No extracts. Just lab created cherry, lab created peach. It plays loudly in the forefront t of this fragrance. It's not a bad release. It's just not worth the price tag and if someone is selling a bottle wich they are get it that way. It will fill the room and people will notice you have it on. It's intended to get you noticed

I blind bought this. I legit didn’t even read about the notes (maybe I should have) because I don’t like cherry notes. That said and done, here we are.. very beautiful packaging. Well worth the money and as a launch offer I got a free luxury cream. Initial spray had lots of cherry in it but as it settled in I started smelling orange and blueberry. No vanilla yet. It’s quite strong with sillage and longevity potential. I’ll give it a few more wears and I’ll be back to update my review.

I definitely guessed once i saw the notes , another Tom Ford Lost Cherry category type scent ,.... yawn. Glad I have no desire to purchase . or even Violet Blond or Killian ABYSS.
