Elation

There must be some serious BBB hate out there to say that this fragrance is weak. I bought the discovery set and I think that this is quite nuclear! I sprayed 2 sprays on a paper strip and I could smell the sillage from 2-3 feet away for an hour. I liked the dry down so much that I put the paper in my shirt pocket this morning (12hrs after I sprayed it). I could smell the sillage up to my nose for an entire work day. I don’t know what people want but if that isn’t power and longevity, then I don’t know what is. Update 08/11/21: So I’ve worn through my sample and I just want to add some details on the scent itself. This is very much in the mold of a Bleu de Chanel, the original Dolce & Gabbana PH, and other iconic signature men’s scents. Very bright, crisp, aromatic scent that opens fresh with a musky woody foundation. I don’t think it changes much throughout, but this scent is long-lasting, signature worthy, and a dumb reach to smell good whether casual or dressed up. The best analogy I could give you is if you combined the top accord of Chanel Allure Homme (think of the bright citrus accord) with the base of Dior Sauvage, you’d be close to what we have here. Maybe not too original but very well done. 10/10 scent!

My third sampling Navitus Parfums’ Enamoured Collection is Elation, perhaps the easiest winner of the collection, a mix of citruses, herbs, florals, and woods, a universally-agreeable, mostly-fresh blend, that’s very smoothly and cleanly put together, smelling somehow both familiar and safe yet new and interesting, a welcome signature type of scent, a versatile crowd-pleaser that nonetheless has some quirks. The key notes for me are a the citrus mix, particularly lime, along with petitgrain, juniper, clary sage, with a dry down of driftwood, musk, and nutmeg. It has mildly aquatic and dirty features but remains more wholesomely terrestrial, fresh, and clean. Still, the blend of the two counterpoints is what makes it more interesting than most of what’s out there. The color of Elation’s bottle is blue, fitting in that it has the make-up of a fresh, semi-aquatic, semi-masculine scent with some “blue” DNA, along the lines of some men’s designer releases in recent years. It performs reasonably well and is, as I sometimes say, a fairly easy winner, in that respect. It feels comforting and easy to wear at any time, for any occasion. Like the rest of the Enamoured Collection, Elation is priced at $195 for 100ml, which remains a good niche price point (at under $2 per ml), though certainly given the superior performance and uniqueness of the other entries I’ve tried, Exalt Nuit and Soir Exclusif, the pricing seems more difficult to defend than for those two. But the bottle size is easier to defend, so as a practical matter, it might very well make more sense to own a 100ml bottle of Elation than the other two, because one might very well wear Elation more often, and more of it, at that. Overall, Elation is a welcome addition in new quintet, in my opinion, a great freshie option with slightly masculine touches like Primas and Navus in the original collection. 7 out of 10

I love how this smells but this performs quite badly if you don’t spray enough. It does last long on my skin depending on how much I'll spray. You can get a full day's worth. And it smells nice all the way through to the base. I would make sure you spray more if you want attention. This is a good fragrance otherwise. Edit: Coming back to this, Elation is a good fragrance, but it's not what I love. It's an awesome citrus and slightly fruity, slightly woody fragrance with a powerful sillage in the opening. There's nothing that I've smelled that's similar to this that I can compare with. Great fragrance, but this would be better for someone else.

Pleasant opening but no longevity Smells very banal overall Light citrus

A good but standard citrus and lavender scent.

Elation smells watered down. Imagine buying orange juice and then mixing it with water. Imagine a fresh citrus fragrance that is overly perfumey. This smells nothing like Egoiste Platinum. 4711 is a better neroli fragrance. There is an undertone that smells cheap. When could you wear this? Never. I know some people think I'm trolling, but I am absolutely not. The opening is horrendous. Fresh fragrances should not be overly perfumey. Save your money. Note: the notes listed are not correct. They are there to cause confusion.
