Kind Intentions

WOW I didn't expect to love this as much as I thought I would upon first spray but it has grown so much in a matter of 20 minutes. I also layered it with my br540 and let me tell you my mind is exploding. I love this scent trail, profile, everything. It's giving 5 star resort . It smells nostalgic but not old. Musky but not dusty. Fresh but not like hand sanitizer. It's buzzy and fuzzy but oh so crisp. It's really polarizing and it's an instant love. Instant appreciation. Perfumery is an art and while I have my easy dumb reaches, this is going to be used when I want to feel happy and carefree like when I was a young child with not a care in the world. I could really talk about it so much more. Paulina did a wonderful job and chose a spectacular note pyramid. The perfumer who executed the idea did a fire job. There's also this really nice earthy, woody, petrichor type of scent. Like, when it just finished raining and the earth smells so intimate.. it's really truly grounding for me... I also love the frankinscence in here as well. It's really oily so that tells me it's a really strong and potent juice. Becareful where you spray it maybe? I wear mostly black so I'm without issue there.

To be honest, when Paulina originally announced this collaboration and the notes of this fragrance... I wasn't really interested. The scent profile and notes didn't sound like a fragrance that I'd really enjoy. But I was curious.. so I bought a decant. And let me just tell you - I was blown away. This scent is BEAUTIFUL! And it's unique. It's definitely a marine scent with a strong citrus (mandarin) note in the opening. The seaweed is definitely there giving the sweet and juicy mandarin some 'saltiness' and greenery. It's so refreshing. Once it starts drying down I do get some white florals. But they're not in your face. They just round out the scent very nicely. And the dry down... I totally agree with the review below saying it smells like marine cotton candy. A sweet and salty marine cotton candy. I ordered a bottle so fast! This is one I will wear all year round, day and night. Signature scent worthy imo. I also love the color of the bottle. It fits the scent perfectly!

It'll honestly be a travesty if this fragrance doesn't pick up trajectory (or perhaps not, as many people don't want to smell like everyone else) It is a very unique scent I do see how people could get Baccarat Rouge in the drydown however, the road there is full of so many delightful twists and turns I would genuinely prefer this to BR540. Navitus parfums has REALLY been on a roll. As another reviewer described you do get seaweed which is quite interesting, oceanic, but there is that Ultra sweet candy floss/cotton candy and finally the BR540. I give it 8/10 NOT a blind buy, but I enjoyed after a decant and can see myself enjoying even more as the fragrance macerates.

This is my new obsession. Thank you Paulina and Jerome. You made something truly new on the market. Yes, it has a baccarat vibe, but only a little and not even all the time during a wearing. It’s a strong projecting and long lasting composition that changes throughout the day. Not sure how it’ll smell in 2-3 months, Navitus is always maturing. But now it’s amazing. Love the moss note in it, it almost smells like lemon to me. And the opening is gorgeous. A true mandarin or even a clementine while you peel it. The drydown is salty amber on me, and it reminds me the drydown of Raised Spirits, but not the same. Everybody I know who smelled it was impressed

Coming back to proclaim my love for this fragrance again. I can't seem to put it down! I'll reach for this one at least 3x a week. Which is saying a lot, considering I have almost 200 fragrances to choose from. And for the mentions of similarities to BR540.. I do not get that at all. I have both fragrances and they smell nothing alike to me. But I also don't think Burberry Her smells anything like BR540 either. The airiness quality is totally different here (to me) than Baccarat (one of my signature scents). But if you're unsure, always sample first. Buy a decant from a decant site or from a decanter in the Facebook fragrance groups.

Honestly this is one of the most unique fragrances. All of the perfumes in “this perfume reminds me of” smell nothing like this. I have never smelt anything like this. It’s aromatic, yet oakmossy, yet vanillary. It’s very unusual. The first time I smelt it, it was an immediate no for me. But now that I tested it out more, I actually quite like it. It’s sweet and aromatic and fresh and the same time. It has a marine quality but I don’t detect seaweed. It smells like spending the day at the beach and smelling the ocean breeze. Would be perfect for summer. 🌊🍦🌿🍊 Ps. This is not a safe blind buy, test before you buy

Based on the notes alone this is everything I wanted Chloe Nomad to be but it wasn’t! It was way too oakmoss forward this is a very soft take on oakmoss. Instead of smelling it from a jar and being slammed in the face with it, it’s like you’re getting whiffs of it while walking through the Forrest and brisk morning. Very refreshing and soft. I AM IN LOVE! Update: I’ve revisited this decant during springtime and it’s become a lil sweeter and nuttier than I remember but still has that oakmoss freshness/herbal base. Still love it!

Completely agree with everything in @Jeresa545 review. I actually love to layer this with baccarat to really bring that part out more. It’s definitely a unique scent profile & I do get a marine/cotton candy vibe also.

I'm obsessed with this. Very different and unique. I smell vanilla, seaweed, frankincense and a soft musk. I got a 10 ml decant that's already half way through I need a bigger bottle.

Initially smells "blissfully relaxing". Excellent for fresh out of shower, going to sleep, or even better for an hour of meditation (Which is what I enjoy using it for 🧘♀️) . I wish the fragrance was more beast mode and longer lasting because along with its beautifully unique scent profile, I believe it could rise to the top of many affluent top 10 lists with a price point to match. Again....if it were stronger. (The sillage would be soooo...intoxicating 🤪).

This is a gentle and unique fragrance that takes me to an otherworldly spa. I can’t say I’ve smelled anything quite like it before. It is completely unisex, even though it has a certain sweetness to it (I get the orange and white flower notes). The accord breakdown at the top of this page is fairly accurate. It is definitely fresh and sweet, but also woody ambery and marine. It is earthy, with strong oakmoss. I like it. Wear it anytime anywhere.

This is good but I highly recommend Gaultiers new Divine if you enjoy a marine gourmand scent! Its amazing! Its what I wanted this to be.

When I first tried out Kind Intentions I immediately felt there was something familiar about it but I could not immediately put my finger on it... Then it dawned on me. It reminds me so much of the original line up of the Laura Mercier Eau gourmands that came out the first time back in 2006. For those who are interested Laura Mercier was one of the first to really jump up on the gourmand train and take them into the field of body care and every day wear, and it was said that she wanted all of her fragrances to be built up around vanilla in one way or another. And the Eau Gourmande line was meant to be a good light hearted day time splash eau de toilette offering different takes on gourmand notes mostly also connected to vanilla and meant to compliment her body care line. Now the reason Kind Intentions reminds me of the Laura Mercier line is because it too feels to me like a lighthearted daytime easy grab kind of fragrance that when push comes to shove mostly also is about sweetness and vanilla even though it contains a lot of other notes especially on paper. Had it been a Laura Mercier Eau Gourmande release it would probably have been given a name like “Vanille Marine” or something like it. As that is what this mostly offers. A light summer time powdery vanilla musk with a marine mediterranean touch to it from the very discreet algae note for the sea portion of it and the oak moss mixed with a tiny bit of sandalwood and an almost undetectable jasmine for a soft (sweet) earthy ness. I do not detect frankincense or benzoin in this. So if those are notes you do not enjoy, don’t worry. The main focus once you get past the initial green marine-ish sort of opening will still be a sweet powdery vanilla where the powdery ness comes from the iris. And the sweet vanilla leans into the marshmallow direction. The marine touch from the beginning will however keep hovering around it for a while which will distinguish this from a vanilla with almonds or a vanilla with caramel or a vanilla with something else, if you get the picture. But as a whole Kind Intentions will still remain within the category of a sweet vanilla with something. In the late dry down only the powdery sweet vanilla remains which is nice but nothing groundbreaking and most of you who own any vanilla centred fragrance can experience the same dry down as the one offered in Kind Intentions. Performance wise this is a soft to moderate projecting fragrance depending on how much you spray on. But once it settles it will be a mildly projecting fragrance that stays mostly close to the skin throughout its wear time which on me lasts for about 3-5 hours before it looses the marine accord and what remains is the sweet somewhat generic vanilla dry down. (It is also described like a mildly projecting scent by the influencer involved with the making of it). The sweet vanilla remaining offers however better longevity on me and can be detectable if I put my nose into it for several hours more but only as a skin scent. There is no resemblance whatsoever to more complex or sophisticated fragrances like Baccarat rouge 540 unless you find anything that smells sweet similar. Kind intentions might however allow itself to be mixed with all sorts of scents that you would like to add some sweetness to as it is not overly distinct in any direction but is very sweet Instead Kind Intentions is a more simple composition that therefore to me bears more resemblance to the type of fragrances that the Eau Gourmande line from LM represents. And of course also the many brands that over the years have followed in those footsteps. Brands like 7 Virtues and Sol de Janeiro for instance which makes Kind Intentions feel a little bit like a bin they’re done that kind of experience to me. But that doesn’t necessarily mean a bad thing, but rather an expected one as that will most likely be the result of a collaboration between a new brand who wants to climb fast on the success ladder, a professional perfumer and an influencer with no real experience in fragrance making apart from being a large perfume consumer. And the result will most likely become something easy going and likeable and probably also something that reminds a lot of things already made. Unless you choose to go all bananas... which sometimes works beyond expectations... (pun intended). 😘 In essence if you like sweet and you like vanilla and would like a vanilla that also is usable during summer and has a bit of a beachy marine vibe added to it but is void of coconut - then you will most likely like Kind Intentions. It will not make you feel unique. But it will be ok and you will offend nobody when wearing this scent unless they have other problems with you... It is obviously a girly composition so I doubt men will truly enjoy this on themselves. (Unless they are Ken) It is however not cloyingly girlie but still enough sugary sweet marshmallows vanilla which many girls will like. But since it is also quite a bit powdery more mature ladies may like it too if they have a sweet tooth. Kind Intentions is definitely a perfect accessory to the now rising Barbie hype! All in all and the main reason I do stress the comparison to the LM Eau Gourmande line and it’s equals is because I do find this fragrance to be quite a bit overpriced for what it really is. Had it been launched as a LM Eau Gourmande Vanille Marine or a new Sol de Janeiro or 7 Virtues frag it would have sported a price tag along those lines which would have been more logical as Kind Intentions does not really live up to the super sophisticated or complex perfume compositions that should be expected from a more established niche house. But it is almost priced as one, and that is something Navitus deserves a bit of critique for, in my opinion. Now a good thing is though that Navitus often offer huge discounts sometimes as much as 40% off when buying several fragrances from their website. And that should tell you that if a brand can afford to do that on world wide campaigns the regular price tag is probably way too high to be defendable... To finish off on a good note though I would like to give the packaging an A+. It is an opaque minty green flask with a solid plaque glued on (albeit not entirely centred). And while the flask looks cute it will as well help keep the fragrance fresh a lot longer than a regular glass bottle will as it will keep light from breaking down the juice. I also like its chunky feel which is a perfect accessory to any Barbie girl in a Barbie world! ❣️

I understand some people don’t get the smell of it because they don’t know how algae smells. Honestly it’s a pretty bright, burnt grass, green fusion opening with bergamot; middle or heart with white florals and benzoin. Olibanum is detectable in small amounts. It’s a bit woody smokey. In the dry down you don’t lose the initial algae scent but you get a rich Madagascar vanilla as well. I definitely like the scent as a whole. I wouldn’t say I am happy with the performance. The projection is really poor (very intimate) however, the longevity is quite good. 7 hours on skin. A bit feminine leaning in my opinion. Buy it with the discount codes but don’t pay $170 for it. I think that’s a rip-off

This opens beautiful on paper. On my skin this was horrible and too mossy.

Very unique. Soft and powdery. Very light scent. Nonoffensive. Not worth a full Bottle. Won't buy again. Its a bedtime Scent.

On me it smells like bathroom cleaner.I don't get it but I will give it time And revisit this one.

I received this in the mail about a week ago, it was a blind buy and thankfully I really love it! The best way I can think of to describe it is fluffy marine-scented cotton candy. That may not sound appealing but somehow it all works together. It may not be for everyone but I think this is an absolutely beautiful scent. It has a light green/marine scent which obviously comes from the seaweed in the opening, but it's definitely marine not aquatic (if that makes sense). The dry down is a 'cotton candy' scent which comes from the combination of vanilla, benzoin and sandalwood, and then the musk and iris combine together to add a very slightly powdery touch lingering in the background. I don't really pickup on the white florals too much, it's much more of the sweetness and light marine scent that come through. Some reviews on youtube have compared it to BR540 and said it's similar - I get a tiny, tiny hint of that particular scent in the dry down (as in about 5% hint of it). Thankfully Kind Intentions is pretty much its own unique scent and is nowhere near as similar overall, as I'm not overly keen on BR540. The longevity is quite good on my skin, it lasted about 5 hours, then after that was a skin scent. Its winter here in Australia so I just know in summer this perfume will be even more strong and prominent! Lastly, the colour of the bottle is absolutely gorgeous :)

This is a super odd and confusing perfume. Do not jump on the hype train because of some influencers who were gifted this and they gasp on camera and proclaim how good this is. It is not. For me, this is a scent so weird that repulses me after just ten minutes on my skin. The opening is unbalanced and strange. Thank God I only got a decant. This is a mixture of cloying “designer” sweetness, Baccarat rouge vibe and something else I cannot put my finger on but it’s not the mandarin orange, seaweed or any of the other notes. That something else is not pleasant. It’s not fresh, green or marine but super sweet - as others have pointed out this is almost a gourmand. Neither the notes and main accords, nor the name make sense or are representative of this scent. It smells as if you were to mix some vanillic sweetness with a cheap clone of BR540, throw in some seaweed and let it ferment for a week. I’ll update if I can get my head around this scent and manage better to understand what I’m smelling. I asked two friends to try it and they had the same reaction as I. Now go figure.

This is an interesting fragrance. It smells like dried meadow grass with some sweetness added. The projection and lasting power are actually pretty good. About 7/10 --> but having that much projection on a scent that smells so much like earthy hay is a little strange. I love a Sandalwood type earthy fragrance, but this has a different twist on that, maybe because of the seaweed & oakmoss?? The overall scent smells like something that should not project as loudly. And this is coming from someone who 99.99% of the time is b*tching about fragrances NOT projecting enough! Not quite sure what to think about it. When I wear the perfume I think "Oh this is interesting and different". And I certainly don't hate it. But I'm not sure I really like it either. And I definitely don't crave it or think about it when I'm not wearing it (basically meaning I can easily live without it). Get a decant to try first.

It's a NO for me! This is an unusual fragrance - I can definitely say that! The name is appropriate (if you happen to like the juice), and the bottle matches the perfume as well. Although I do appreciate the individuality this fragrance brings, something about the oakmoss in here just didn't work for me. It's a sweet fragrance; and I love the use of seaweed in here because that's not something I see everyday in perfume. There's also some gentle spice, some powder, and some earthiness from the oakmoss...and that's where the fragrance turns for me - the OAKMOSS! The oakmoss almost made me feel irritated, just like the smell of my Grandfather's Brut did as a child. Something about it makes me feel like my eyes are burning, like there's an irritant in the air so to speak. Brut and Kind Intentions both have oakmoss in the base.

I sampled this, loved it, and now I have a full bottle coming. I think this is so enjoyable. It’s fresh in a way, softly green (I actually think it’s the seaweed I’m smelling because the opening smells like Aloe scented items I’ve smelled, sort of green and clean and soft...the scent of aloe could be like seaweed since they’re both kind of juicy succulent plants), then that dissipates and I get a sweet creamy vanilla-ish scent. All together, it’s sweet, creamy, green, clean, and unlike anything I’ve personally smelled. I’m not a frequent viewer of the creative director Paulina Schar, so she had nothing to do with my purchase. She did a great job though with her suggestions for the perfumer. Love!

This is not in any way marine, green or fresh if that is what you are expecting. It is pretty sweet and honeyed. The last reviewer hit it when they said it’s like a dried meadow. It has that sweet, heavy grassy smell, but it is in no way green. It is really quite heavy and woody. I think it will mix well with greener perfumes, or ones with a lavender note as lavender and honey go pretty well. But do not be fooled by the whole seaweed thing. There is nothing breezy, cool or even gently powdery about this perfume. It is a gourmand and suited to autumnal days rather than spring or summer.

I got Kind Intentions..., I tried it... I see the notes, and I kind of understand that I should get mossy, maybe salty sandalwood with vanilla and some fruitiness, but.... I get what I get.. If you love BR540, I think you might tolerate this one. I only tried Cloud, and Her (from Burberry, and those dirty medicinal band smell...oh.... I just cannot). So this one is the greener mossier version of it. It could be BR540 O'Fraiche. I cannot say that it's screechy or bad smelling, but my nose seems doesn't tolerate anything BR540 related or at least from that family of fragrance.

I really enjoy this fragrance. Much more than I was expecting to. heard a lot of people talking about a cotton candy note but that's not what I get. I understand what they mean but that sweetness mentioned is more akin to temple incense I smelled growing up in Asia. The Chinese or Japanese style incense. It's really quite beautiful. Lasts for hours with moderate projection. I've worn it into the office and received compliments. I am an over sprayer but it didn't seem to bother anyone.

One of 2023’s best releases!! This is so addictive, unique and I will always have this. This reminds me of being on the central coast of California where the forest meets the ocean. Sitting in the backyard of a home that overlooks the ocean while eating a creamy vanilla dessert with an orange powder dusting on top . Absolutely stunning and the color of the bottle just makes you feel its vibe even more!

I am in what seems to be the extreme minority here but, I do not like this fragrance. To my nose the frankincense and oakmoss are dominant and cloying. I also get literally zero mandarin in the opening. Everyone seems to be smelling an airy sweet scent in the B540 family but, my nose is not in sync. I wanted so badly to love this fragrance but, it’s just not meant for me.

The notes and what it smells on me are different. I get a creamy vanilla sandal wood scent that is soft. The orange note is supporting more the sandal wood than being the first layer; however, when I sprayed it in the air, I did notice the orange. Definitely reminds me of the beach near the woods in fall with the beached wood, light citrus, the soft warm sun.

I was so hesitant to try this based on reviews comparing it to BR540, that dna is not my girl. I don’t get that at all!! To me this smells like sitting on a beach at sunset eating cotton candy, 10/10.

Smells pleasant and unlike any perfume I've ever tried, but I think it would make a better candle. It's cozy, warm, salty and mossy. Smells like Winter in the mountains.

Smells A LOT like Cheirosa '40 by Sol de Janeiro. I prefer Cheirosa as I am not a fan of the Navitus DNA.

Idk... It's okay but for some reason I was expecting it to be more special. Not a full bottle worthy.

Got this as a complementary sample. I get sweet & feminine oakmoss, nice!
