Lost in a Dream

Got this today, full bottle blind buy, and... it’s softer than I thought it would be. Softer not weaker, so it feels elegant. It’s definitely a projector but not in an attention seeking way. Been wearing for hours now and the bubble around me still hasn’t shrunk. My 7-yr-old baby girl, bless her heart, is my biggest complimenter. She loves it and says it smells like cereal and milk and coffee Lol I can’t believe it, she has such a good nose. She swooned, oohed and awed every time I walked by. I don’t get any coffee but definitely milky and creaminess with woods and a ton of sweetness. I have never tried Commodity Milk so this is unique to me and my collection. I have tried blanch bete and that is gross to me (sorry, made me nauseous) Bianco latte is on its way so I will try that and compare soon. I have This is Her and don’t like it and this has the same sandalwood but way in the background so it doesn’t bother me. It actually smells like a cup of cold milk with sugar. The sweetness isn’t overwhelming and I like that it’s airy. Well done Paulina! All in all, I love this I can’t wait to wear it out, it’s worth the money I paid, free shipping, gorgeous bottle, I love Paulina she’s so cute, I watch her always. Bought VOL loved it, but the second release I didn’t even bother buying because it doesn’t sound like something I would like. I wish people didn’t buy perfumes with notes they dislike they know they won’t like then talk badly about it. We have very similar taste so I buy a lot of the things she recommends and 95% have been successful blind buys. I was kind of weary of LIAD not gonna lie because of my hatred for Blanche Bete but I saw that it wasn’t in the “reminds me of” section so I took a chance and I’m so glad I did! And I’m sure it will evolve for the better as time goes on but even now on the first day I love it and it’s strong and long lasting. Edit: the amount of compliments I have received on this is crazy! I wear a perfume everywhere and this one gets me the most and it projects beautifully in the air!

creamy vanilla take center stage. woods complement it with a warm background. lactonic, sweet, a little savory, ever so slightly resinous. i don’t know if someone accidentally swapped the labels on my decants, but i would swap the main accords for navitus lost in a dreams with those for vanilla eclat. the latter imo is way sweeter. but i get a lot of woods with lost in a dream, like a really good quality, airy, toasty oud. i even hesitate to call it “oud” because it doesn’t smell like the way oud in most perfumes aimed at international audience do (thick, syrupy, dark), but it smells like real, raw incense wood chips. i think, at least to perfume hobbyists that have only smelled oud in western perfumes and have not tried wood chips, describing the woody parts as oak & sandalwood will probably paint a more accurate image than calling it “oud”. the woods aren’t deep and dark, just a hint toasted. i don’t really get the breakfast notes everyone’s talking about. i can’t say much on the comparisons to commodity milk since it smells like gasoline and burnt tires to me, but thankfully i don’t get any of that with lost in a dream.

Ok so I’ve come back to say that I absolutely love this! Although I have smelt commodity milk+ many times before, I personally don’t own a full bottle of it, so lost in a dream has been such a good scent to add to my collection. I find myself reaching for it so much since I received it in the mail last week. I especially love spraying it to bed because it’s so warm and comforting and cozy☁️🌙✨ Now I know many of you have smelt commodity milk+ before, but I will try to explain lost in a dream for those who never smelt milk +. It’s a very warm and cozy lactonic scent. It smells like a cold glass of milk with lots of cinnamon added and topped with roasted marshmallows and sandalwood. It has a slight orange scent in the opening but not very prominent. It’s mainly a warm, milky and woody scent. I definitely get a prominent sandalwood that’s very lovely and smooth. 🥛🪵🤍 Ps. The bottle is so pretty in real life and this fragrance lasts me a long time. I wake up and still smell it after spraying it to bed

I love this perfume!it opens with a hint of an orange scent then I start to get a cinnamon crossaint dipped in a glass of milk with marshmallows.alittle nuttiness comes tru with alot of vanilla.ending with a creamy sweet sandalwood with alittle musk.i don't get why so many people are hating on this perfume?it does not smell like a dupe for milk to my nose.it is lactonic. I can't believe how mean some of these reviewers are being towards paulina and this perfume.i don't know her personally so I'm not favoring her in any way.just an honest opinion. You should sample this fragrance so you can see for yourself it's not just commodity milk.you can go to greta beth sillage to sample the fragrance. All in all this is full bottle worthy to me.a very cozy winter fragrance.

I love Lost In a Dream so much, it’s like nothing I’ve owned before and I’m so happy I have it in my collection. After reading some of the reviews, I feel like I hit the lottery with this working so amazing with my PH. On my skin, this gets sweeter and sweeter the longer it’s on my skin. It blends so well that I can’t pick out just 1 note like some can. I’ve read that it gets compared to Commodity a lot and for me they are totally different. On me Commodity leans very masculine, and I hated it, so I gifted mines to my son. But L.I.A.D. is such a feminine, boujie gourmand on me, I can’t stop reaching for it! I’m lowkey happy that so many are not in love with it, so that it will always be in stock.🤭🤭😏😍🥰

I like this fragrance and think I will start to love it with time and the right layering combinations. I am happy to report that mine passed the overnight wear test with somewhere between 7 and 8 hours of wear time. I do not think this smells like Blanche Bête (a scent that I respect), nor do I think it smells like Commodity Milk (a scent that I dislike), but perhaps I am willing to concede that Lost in a Dream might lie somewhere between those two other fragrances. For my nose, the jasmine, the tonka, the sandalwood, and the musk are the most present notes. I recommend this fragrance to those who want a sweet, creamy, and musky fragrance that does not smell edible.

But yes, it does smell almost identical to commodity milk. The only thing is the bottle is SO much prettier so I’m happy about that. It is warm, woody, creamy, sweet, cozy and lactonic. I think it’s perfect for a cold day or as a cozy night scent. I can smell the cinnamon too in the opening🤍🥛🥐 In saying so, if you own commodity milk, then you don’t need this. But if you don’t, and you want Milk+ in a prettier bottle, then this is perfect for you

This is so good!!! It's gourmand but not cloying . It's not overly sweet. Its perfectly blended. I know this fragrance has a lot of notes but it's so well put together. In the opening you have that burst of citrus. Then you get the milk and vanilla. It's lactonic but not to the point that it will make you sick.(at least not me). Ppl say that it's a similar to Commodity. I have put my nose on it and it is similar but Lost in a Dream is more potent and last longer. I would repurchase this over and over again.

This is a beautiful scent. I am truly surprised by the reviews. Yes, it gets stronger and more beautiful within 2 weeks, even when it was projecting very well since first wear. Besides loving this scent, it is also a compliment magnet. I own Blanche Bete and Bianco Latte, this trio will stay in my collection, I get different atmospheres with each one.

This perfume has left me absolutely mesmerized. On my skin is sweet but not at all cloying, the spices are quite powerful but also magnificently balanced. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every spray, giving it a luxurious feel. After all Duchaufour is truly a genius and his mastery shines through in this exquisite fragrance!

I came to see the comments I buy this without knowing what it smell went came yesterday and i test I was .... Thinking it reminded of something for sure it’s commodity milk more refined I would said I will keep it because I love milk so I don’t care have a backup and I but it less expensive that commodity and the bottle it’s beautiful

So far upon arrival, I get Commodity Milk Expressive. LIAD is like a heavier Commodity Milk BUT it opens like Bianco latte on my skin minus the caramel. No croissant, no coffee, no almond, no fig milk, not much sandalwood either. Smells like marshmallow with powdered sugar and cold milk.

I think this smells great! I’m not a big fan of Commodity Milk or Blanche Bete (which everyone is comparing this to), but this one smells unique and addictive to me. My favorite from Paulina so far!

This smells like Kind Intentions to me, as in, the same train tracks. I love KI and happy to have something similar. I absoulutely love it. Not a safe blind buy. Any age, gender, season.

I wish there was a way to block these rude & hate comments, as if they could ever create a fragrance sigh smh. No more manners left in fragrantica.

Beautiful perfume but since i own commodity gold, there is no reason for me to have two perfumes that smell nearly identical.

Sweet, cozy, delicious. The croissant note is so good, so buttery and realistic. A Sunday scent for snuggling. A delight!

90% Bianco latte & 10% Commodity milk expressive, delicious soooo happy I have it.

To me, this and Blanche Bete are almost identical. Both beautiful and creamy.

If you love lactonic gourmand scents, it is a must-try.

Ive been found! I'm on dream 100 and it's magnificent!

A lovely oriental gourmand. It starts with some breakfast notes: orange juice, coffee, vanilla creamer, and a little bready croissant. The orange is then gone in an instant, and I get almond and a bit of marshmallow to join the coffee and then a little bit of non-citrus fruit - must be fig, as black fig usually gives a kind of generic fruitiness to an already sweet mixture. I also detect some of jasmine and white musk in this stage.... and then as the scent matures the sandalwood, woods, resins, and tonka make themselves known, grounding the scent and and making it very wearable. Throughout the coffee and vanilla milk notes are present. This is a very gourmandy oriental. Delicious! I haven't tried Commodity Milk but will do a compare and update here. ps. this reminds me a lot of Beauteous Delight by Dua, except with orange instead of cherry. It has that same coffee-milk-caramel-vanilla-jasmine-woods-tonka-sandalwood thing going on.

It seems I have a thing for lactonic scents. In the last few months I have bought Quattro Pizzi, Blanche Bête, This is Her, Italica, Egyptian Sugar Soirée and now this one. Actually, this smells a bit like if Blanche Bête and This is Her had a baby. I really appreciate the savoury character of Lost In a Dream. I have alot of sweet fragrances and it's a welcome change. Unlike others, I am getting buttery croissant but the sandalwood and tonka are more prominent. I am hardly getting any of the fruit or floral notes but I don't mind. It's very nice. I need to go and check but I feel if you have this, you don't need This is Her or Italica as they are very similar scent profiles. Do I think this is worth the price...as someone who has spent an obscene amount of money on nice smelling water I would say no. Just buy This is Her and enjoy 😉

A soft, pleasant lactonic scent that is easy to wear every day or in close quarters like an office. On me, it does not smell sweet, instead it smells like comfort- more rice and less milk. I got a couple of complements on it, even though I thought of it as a skin scent no one would detect. While I love the calming scent of rice, I wish this perfume was a bit stronger and had a bit more projection. I much prefer the Navitus Vanilla Eclat which is along the same lines of mild lactonic scents, but the salty vanilla gives it more depth. Regardless, I think that Lost in a Dream is a safe, inoffensive scent.

So far I'm disappointed, its pretty but very familiar..... I'm going to let it sit and come back .... the notes are super soft and I really wish to my nose the croissant accord was stronger, and I think this was a missed opportunity from Navitus to punch up that unique bread accord, it's very similar to Milk. It has very good longevity and projection. although the scent is soft, people will smell you! ... the bottle is beautiful just gorgeous😍.... but I am very careful with it! It stays in the box and the flat white color can be easily ruined if you don't have clean hands or handle it with care!

Nice, but just a bit too spicy for me. I don't get any milk, croissant, bergamot, orange, or sandalwood. I mainly smell cinnamon, oak, and tolu balsam with hints of marshmallow, musk, almond, orchid, and jasmine. I only get fig and coffee in the initial drydown. It has minimal sillage and lasts about 4 hours. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Commodity Milk: a light grassy vanilla on me, no spices ❌ Navitus Baklava Royale: not as spicy or woody ❌ Paris Corner Emir Fire Your Desire: spicier, less sweet, and much woodier

Lovely, complex, sweet, soft and cozy scent. Easily wearable, with good but not too loud performance, just lovely! It has some sour note, probably it is mainly bergamote, but it really compliments the scent. Also the milk is not a sweet artificial nonsense flavouring, it is very nice and not overly thick 👌🏻 There indeed some leather but it is very soft and doesn't standout, just makes it feel more expensive. I don't love Bianco Latte and do not see the similarities to it. Also I find Lost In A Dream to be rather addictive.

I absolutely love a good lactonic, nutty, vanilla, creamy fragrance. That scent profile has my heart and I know all the heavy hitters. Now trust me when I say this is 99.9% match to Christian Siriano Intimate Silhouette. (That bottle is so ugly, but is sooo much cheaper than Navitus) This is very similar to Milk (Not identical but in the same wheelhouse) Fresh baked cookies, creamy whipped cream, fresh bread. Milky, sweet, a touch woody. Such a good vibe, cozy cuddling perfume. Smells like a big warm hug.

Never thought I'd prefer the poop emoji "reminds me of" form of male bullying on here to female emotional tirades but here we are. Yes, this smells similar to Milk and This is Her, but they are not exact dupes. I actually like this more than both those fragrances but probably won't be buying a FB. Think it goes without saying that one should sample an influencers fragrance before buying.

Finally got my bottle ♥ To me, this is a definition of a cozy scent! It's less sweet, and more woody than Commodity Milk and I actually prefer it that way. / Ended up trading my bottle. The scent is really nice but I just don't know how or when to use it 😂😭

This isn’t bad at all. If you have a collection of vanillas, I don’t think this is needed. It smells very similar to Dior Addict to me. The marshmallow and almond stick out the most. The longevity is good and sillage is moderate.

yes it smells like commodity milk. unlike some of the other reviewers, i got pretty decent longevity from my sample. i sprayed it on before bed and could still smell it the day after.

Sweet incense. Smoky amber and spice. Sadly, I didn't get much of the gourmand notes with this one. It smells like an Enya song in a bottle.

Lovely scent.. very reminiscent of Milk personal, which I also have. If you like the sweet, creamy, lactonic vibe, this is a winner.

I've been eyeing this frag for a while. I finally got a sample today. I've had it on my wrist for about 40 min. From all of the previous reviews, I expected a very complex, sweet, creamy, sandalwood, gourmand scent. I can see the comparison to Commodity Milk. I don't think they smell alike, but they do have the same vibe. To me, in the beginning, it smells like powdery licorice. After a few min, it smells like powdery oak tree. I don't really smell any of the other notes. Although I suspect the milk and amber notes are responsible for the powdery/ lightness, this isn't a creamy frag. You won't actually smell those notes. I think it's very blended. It does not smell like a glass of milk, cinnamon, or food of any kind, but I'm going to try it again at a later date because I can not fathom how anyone is smelling anything remotely resembling food. I think I have a good nose, so I'm kind of confused by those reviews. As time goes on, the powderyness goes away. This frag smells like light wood dust, kind of like if someone was cutting wood, swept up the shavings, but there's still a dusting of it on all the furniture. This leans masculine, since it isn't sweet & smells like wood, but it could be worn as unisex. It's definitely a skin scent. From the first spray, the scent stays close to the skin. I could see myself using this to layer with for the purpose of adding depth to a scent that's too sweet, but for the price tag, I wouldn't bother purchasing with the sole intent of layering. This isn't a is a safe blind buy. It's not a mass appealing kind of frag. I have bianco latte and I've smelled blanche bette. There's 0 comparison. It's not a vanilla frag. Get a sample prior to committing. It's not an easy sample to come by on a lot of decant sites. I seen the comments about how bad the customer service at Navitus is, so I didn't want to order anything from them. I ordered my sample online from a small family owned niche boutique in Philadelphia named Perfumology. I went there once last yr when I was in the area. The owner and staff are amazing. I wish I lived closer.

Missing a lot of the complexity I expected here. The notes are absolutely amazing, but they aren’t really served up how I thought they’d be. Is there such a thing as TOO blended? I keep wanting to put up individual notes, but I absolutely can’t. In a way, it’s like I can sense many of the notes but the more I smell it... the more difficult it is to pick it out. It does very much remind me of Commodity Milk, which is disappointing for me. For those of us who wore Victoria’s Secret/BBW body sprays back in the mid-2000’s... this is THE signature warm vanilla & brown sugar vibe. It smells nice, but I grew up smelling it everywhere... so much to the point where I never bought a second bottle of it because it felt so blah. The sillage of this smells more unique than what you get from the projection. In the sillage I get that buttery croissant and lactonic feel... with a bit of sandalwood and cinnamon. If only I could smell my sillage all day instead of what I get up close.

Ok....so I've had my bottle for a little over a year now. And I finally have my thoughts. All in all...this is not a "bad" scent. It's extremely comparable to Milk Commodity (the middle one) with some slight nuances. Lost in a dream is creamy and bready. It kinda reminds me of a cinnabon roll without the thick sugar icing....and it's overdosed with a very heavy ...borderline headache inducing musk...especially in the dry down. The strange part is that although the dry down is quite heavy...it has a piss poor performance..I'm talking like barely 2 hours. Not a top pick from Navitus...they have some other great options (Baklava Royale, Mahni Cassanade).....but Lost in a Dream is not worth it imo.

It seems that I am in the category of the handful of lost souls that had this perfume not smell like anything it says on the tin. On first spritz, all I encountered was a lovely, burning incense smell. Then, for a fleeting moment, it seemed to become sweet and juicy, but quickly descended into the “gasoline/oud” scent that is still lingering on my body. I was so so so looking forward to the lactonic, almond, marshmallow, Parisian-breakfast dream everyone was talking about, but for some reason, on my skin, it seems like the sandalwood, resin, amber, musk, and balsam merged together in an assertive masculine scent.

I am low key dissapointed. I was excited for the millk, croissant, marshmello and coffee notes get those minimally. I thought this was going to be a Gormund king. I expected something more thick, but i got the opposite.. Not that it's a bad thing, if there is any such thing as being an Aromatic Gormund this is it. I can smell the notes i mentioned but they smell very atomized and fresher so this can be worn in the Summer. It may need to macerate, as the first time i gave it a full wear i didnt smell anything. Gave it a few weeks to a month and by the second wear i got lots of compliments. I give it 6.5-7/10.

Someone below said they could smell oud in this and I don't think they are wrong I can also smell something similar. Not a heavy masculine oud it reminds me of the oud scent profile you get in FDB's Sirene (the similarity ends there though) This is mixed with a creamy lactonic, vanilla marshmallowy, nutty vibe to me. In fact it seems to share DNA with BTSO Sugar addict. I don't really pick up any coffee - which is a bonus for me as I can find it quite overwhelming and I feel that the citrus notes are taken over by the gourmand vibes. A pleasant fragrance but not sure how often I would wear it.

I had the pleasure of meeting Paulina and smelling LIAD at perfumology in Philadelphia. On first spray in shop (on paper) I thought it smelled like Blanche Bete, which I adore. I Ordered a full bottle. Now that I have it at home, it’s much much closer to Commodity Milk expressive. They are almost identical. I don’t get any croissant. I have Milk expressive and bold and love them. I’m a lactonic girlie, but this is just redundant. I’m on the fence if I'm keeping it. It has great longevity and performance. It’s just a dupe to me.

I was really looking forward to trying this fragrance but sadly I find it pretty disappointing. Not because I dislike it but because it smells so similar to Commodity Milk it’s uncanny. I already own CM Expressive and CM Bold so this is a huge let down. Where’s the orange, almond, fig milk, croissant etc? If you already own Commodity Milk then I seriously wouldn’t bother with this or you may find yourself being utterly disappointed like myself!

I can smell pastry note and marshmallow at the beginning, but very quickly it dries down to a milkier This Is Her, if that’s what Commodity Milk is like (haven’t tried it), then the rest of the reviews are accurate. It’s something I’ve smelt before for sure.

To me, this is reminiscent of Shaghaf Oud Tonka, although both are beautiful fragrances. I don’t get any creaminess, although some people have compared it to Milk by commodity. Selling a full, in box bottle for $130.

This smells just like Blanche Bête. The milk, marshmallow, coffee, jasmine, vanilla, musk, tonka bean.. all the same. It would be redundant to own both. And quiet as kept, the dupes perform better.

Wasn’t sure I like it very much in the beginning...but I’ve been wearing it every day since I received it and I must say I love it now❤️! And it seems the longer it sits the better it gets👍🏼

As others have noted, this smells similar to Milk (expressive) by Commodity. No need to have both.
