Melon Kiss

I do not have anything else like this in my collection. I love this but I do not think that the casual fragrance wearer would feel the same way. This was not an immediate love, I had to wear it s few times before I really started to appreciate it. It is very melon and honey forward, so if you struggle with those notes then this probably is not the perfume for you. The melon is juicy and ripe, I get more of a honey dew melon than a traditional watermelon. The honey in the dry down its creamed and very dense like artisanal honey from a fancy organic farmers market. It is not a smooth liquid like the honey in the little plastic bear containers. It is uniquely sexy and surprisingly versatile. Depending on which body spray or lotion you layer with, you can wear this during multiple seasons. In the spring pair this with pink florals or light fruits to lighten and freshen this up, like L’mperatrice. In the summer wear on its own. And in the fall layer this with honey scented lotions or body sprays. I would not wear this in the winter. I wore this with the Body Works Honeycomb body spray and matching body cream. If you had difficulty wearing Melon Kiss try that layering combo because It softens the honey scent and blends it more. I did not have any performance issues with this even in the heat I got 6 + hours (I did over spray) and the projection is moderate. 9/10

Wearing this today for the first time. I attempted to order it right away, but it sold out so fast. After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous to purchase it when it came back in stock. In the end, I decided to go ahead and buy it. So happy I did! I’m not the biggest fan of the smell of melon, but it works here. It smells fruity and tropical, with a creamy coconut and vanilla. It’s hot here today and this smells pretty and feminine in the heat. It has a bit of the same base in it that Kind Intentions has, which I also love. If you enjoy that one, you may enjoy this. On another note, I always let my perfumes rest after they arrive in the mail, otherwise there can be a note that pulls too strongly at first. They always smell better if you wait at least a few days.

“Melon Kiss” is a unique perfume for me. I don’t have anything like it in my collection and I think it’s a great perfume for daytime in the Spring/Summer. I live in a warm humid climate, and I enjoy how it smells and radiates off of my skin. It doesn’t have humongous projection or longevity but I don’t mind. I appreciate its uniqueness. It’s like a creamy sweet melon candy but not too sweet. It’s also fresh and definitely gives off tropical vacation vibes. IMHO, a great perfume for Spring & Summer that will set you apart from all the other “typical” summer fragrances out there.

Some of these reviews are mean and silly for no reason... I get that fragrance is subjective.. but some of these people do the most for no reason... it's a nice watery melon and coconut water fragrance. If you do not like melon this isn’t for you. Now, I like melon kiss a lot... is it a must have? no .. but is it a nice addition to my fragrance collection? yes! It's perfect for warm spring and summer days. It's fun and fruity! There is no weird dry down 🙃 and Navitus Parfums tend to get much better with time.

I was hoping for a true honeydew melon scent. The name is very misleading but it fits the scent profile if you just imagine the sweet honey scent in an actual honeydew melon fruit sprinkled with sweet coconut shreds. Had to give it a couple test wears and it’s definitely grown on me, it’s making me want to sip on a huge tropical drink somewhere on the beach. It’s actually a really addicting scent. It’s delicious

I got this as a free All over spray in Melon Kiss and I love it! It’s a soft melon/coconut/vanilla fragrance. I don’t get any weird things other people are smelling here. It’s just sweet, gentle, nectar like melon, creamy honey and vanilla scent with a lot of coconut.

Really love this one, it's sweet but not to a sickly sweet degree. Idk why but at least on my skin there's notes of like bubblegum in there too. Girlypops that wear bright color scheme clothing should take note of this one

LIt’s fruity, sweet and fresh. And it really does smell like melon. Strangely smells like Extra Melon Mint Chewing Gum.

Definitely smells like melon - I was nervous about that since I don't actually like to eat melon, but I am kind of loving this perfume. It is a creamy melon perfume... definetly a lactonic quality and there is an "aura" of freshness without smelling bright. At first, up close, I was getting melon candy (think melon+cream hard candy). That soon gave way to an almost melon cake/cupcake vibe... but fairly quickly it settles into this pretty creamy melon fragrance. The coconut milk comes out more in the drydown for me as well. As someone who loves lactonic, creamy, milky fragrances - this is a huge win for me and I like it more than I thought I would! I have to say though - there is something familiar about this scent, like I've smelled it before somewhere... Maybe a Britney Spears fragrance or a body product?? It reminds me of a more elevated version of whatever that product was though. It still smells pretty unique though among the sea of fragrances available these days and I appreciate that. Glad I bought it. May not be a safe blind buy but for me this is a nice, easy-wearing niche gourmand. ... Perfect for day-time Spring & Summer. ... Could easily be worn to work, day-time date, the beach, vacation, bbq lol, etc. Projection: a solid moderate Scent: 8.5-9/10 Longevity: still testing, but not terrible

Hmm. This is interesting. I've never been inspired to purchase a Navitus perfume but something about the idea of creamy melon got me. I wouldn't say it smells like literal melon at all but there is a sense of aquatic fruitness and vanilla. I think what stands out to me and what makes this interesting is what I perceived as an aldehydic accord... Probably why people are getting ozonic as an accord above? It's a bit sharp, a bit metallic and in the background but definitely present. I'm not sure if this is part of the aquaticness or there to add an airy quality. In any case, I can't decide if I enjoy it or not at this point. The bottle is really very cute and the fragrance is perfectly pleasant but I think I do slightly regret thr blind buy :)

A friend gave me her sample of this, and I actually really like it a lot. I’m not usually a lover of sweet perfumes, but this one is just so soft and endearing. This is what I imagine a melon pudding might smell like. Not incredibly complex but that’s fine. I feel like I’m wrapped in a cozy cloud when I put this on, and although it’s sweet I don’t think it’s cloyingly, offensively sweet; the fruitiness maintains a certain amount of freshness to it which I appreciate. This isn’t on my top priority list of perfumes I feel like I need a full bottle of, but I do think I will miss it when my sample is done, so we’ll see. Art I think would smell like Melon Kiss: Pink & Green by Georgia O’Keeffe

Smells good to me my only problem is it’s weak. It starts to disappear way too soon. This perfume reminds me so much of Victoria’s Secret MELON DRENCH which I have and use for spring and summer. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s where the idea came from. They smell good almost identical. I just wish the perfume would actually last long for what you are paying. If it doesn’t last, you are better off with the VS body spray trust me they smell the same. Tropical Creamy melon, good but again VS body spray vibes. Love Gabby I even blind bought this thinking it’s going to be a hit. Really disappointed with longevity and projection. I really hope letting it sit and macerate helps.

I was pleasantly surprised by this as I thought it was going to be a watery melon freshie but its actually quite a rich decadent creamy melon - like a melon ice-cream as opposed to sorbet or granita.The honey and coconut milk make this feel denser than your average one fruit tropical scent. The drydown has an interesting and pleasant powdery make-up feel to it. So while its fresh it's also multi faceted. Not my usual sort of fragrance but perfect for hot climes, holidays, Summer days and maybe even nights - youthful and fun, gives Kayali yum vibes. I tested this from the Discovery Kit.

I loved this at first! And then after a few times of wearing it - It just smelled disgustingly synthetic to me. And I love some synthetic perfumes. But it was almost like trying to substitute sugar with Splenda. That fake sweetness. I couldn't do it anymore. $170/bottle - I expect better quality. I don't think the quality matches the price. Sadly. Would love a brand to make a similar scent but better quality. WaveChild is not similar but is a better (water)Melon fragrance. Better quality for sure -- and it cost less too.

I get the honeydew throughout the entire wear. I really like it, but do wish it was just a little less sweet. It is candy sweet. I will defienetly wear it. I wish there was something like a bamboo note or some other aquatic to give it a bit more of a juicy refreshing vibe. This is sweet and super creamy melon.

If you’re into fruity, sweet scents, you’ll love this fragrance. It’s definitely perfect for spring and summer! If you want to smell tropical, this would be my go-to. I really like it!

FIRST IMPRESSION: Melon Kiss is a delicious, creamy honeydew melon scent with a tropical vibe 🍈💚 The overall effect is definitely creamy honeydew melon and the opening makes me think of those creamy honeydew Melona ice cream bars! The notes I smell the most in the opening and beginning stage are honeydew melon, coconut, and vanilla - in that order. I also smell something reminiscent of a tropical flower, like plumeria (frangipani), although there are no floral notes listed. There is a freshness too, which I believe is from the bergamot, but it's not distinguishable as bergamot, at least not to me. In other words, it doesn't smell citrusy in any way. There is just enough bergamot to cut through the sweetness of the honeydew melon without adding a citrusy aspect to the fragrance, which I appreciate. The coconut is creamy like coconut milk, but doesn't smell like suntan lotion. I am not sure what creamed honey is supposed to smell like, but I will say that there is no animalic note in here at all, which you can sometimes get from regular honey. I don't get the urine, vomit, or sour milk smell that others mention below. As Melon Kiss dries down, the coconut gets stronger and reminds me a little of the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration line. There is no shampoo-like smell in Melon Kiss, no, not at all, but as it dries down it reminds me of the creamy coconut fragrance that is used to scent the Hello Hydration line. UPDATE: The late dry down completely loses the melon and I'm left with a musky coconut with a tropical floral component, which I'm guessing is due to the creamed honey. I reeeally wish the melon stuck around longer...the honeydew melon in the opening is so yummy and I would have loved it if the fragrance smelled like the opening for the entire wear. I wouldn't be as disappointment if the coconut stayed creamy, but it turns musky. It gets musky whether applied on skin or clothes, but it gets muskier faster when on skin. I still like the fragrance, but it's one I'll have to reapply in order to revive the melon note. So disappointing because the honeydew melon opening is sooo good! UPDATE 2: Had to change my vote from a "love" to "ok" 😕 If the fragrance smelled like the honeydew melon opening for the entire wear, then it would be a love. However, the dry down turns into a non-gourmand musky floral. The creamy honeydew Melona ice cream bar opening is delicious, but the scent dries down to a very musky plumeria/frangipani scent. I keep re-trying it hoping the honeydew melon opening will stick around longer and the muskiness will go away, but the dry down is always the same 😢 Thankfully, I still don't get the urine, vomit, or sour milk smell, but I don't think I like this enough to keep my bottle. So sorry this didn't work out for me, Gabby! I still love Chocolate Queen though - it is my HG chocolate scent! 🥰🍫

It opens with a pretty bright burst of melon, which is truly lovely. Then it morphs into a tropical vacation scent - sweet melon and coconut, a bit creamy (but not like a desert, more like a cocktail I guess), a bit powdery /slightest bit of soapy floral but kind of in a good way. Reminds me of some hard conditioner scent, in a positive sense, just perhaps a bit extra tropical vacation be from melon and its' sweetness. Not loving it for myself much though... As I'm not a huge fan of coconut scents (except some toasted, creamy ones.. Like Crème Brûlée by Theodoros Kalotinis 🤤). Performance is okay. It was fun to sample this!

I've purchased Gabby's other Navitus collaborations and I'm happy with those, but this one has no longevity or sillage on my skin. And this is after showering, moisturizing, and letting this sit as I ordered this before summer. Even trying to layer this doesn't help it. It's a nice after showering-around the house scent for the hotter days. Once I've finished this I won't repurchase. 125.00-175.00 for a perfume that lasts shorter than a body splash isn't worth it.

I wanted to live this sooooo bad!! I sprayed it on a tester strip and it was love at first sniff, I was ready to buy it right then and there. But then I sprayed it on my skin and something went wrong. On the tester strip it was a sweet fresh melon scent. The perfect melon fragrance. But on skin it turned bad, almost rotten. I’m glad I tested it on my skin before buying. I was so disappointed because the scent is wonderful on paper.

This fragrance lasts as long as a fart in the wind. Thankfully it smells much better than that but I’m tired of spending money on fragrances that have extrait in the name and has less performance than a body spray or EDT. At this point it’s just a marketing tool.

I agree with what another person said.. it smells like urine or diapers?? I think it may be because of the honey note. I was hoping for a bright and fresh honeydew scent, but unfortunately this isn't it. It starts off great but the dry down just smells dirty.

I feel like melon is hard to do, in the opening it reminds me of a kids perfume- super duper bright sweet and a bit punchy. The dry down is nicer, it settles to a creamier almost melon scented soap esque scent. Not really my thing. But not offensive

@Myri_Dans yes, couldn't agree more! Aziri Paris Granita is actual melon, and the best one out there IMO. This one just fell short for me unfortunately

I was so excited to purchase Gabby's new fragrance so I pulled the trigger immediately. The bottle is stunning. Just a gorgeous addition to any collection. The juice is a huge miss for me. I'll start by saying that I don't do well with lactonic fragrances. Looking at the notes alone I should love Leisure in Paradise type scents but they are overripened rotting fruit that borders on vomit. That's exactly what I get here too - it's like someone was overserved soured milk based drinks all day and threw up in a honeydew melon. I absolutely hated it and it was an instant scrubber - I couldn't get it off fast enough. Luckily I am in a large Facebook group where I immediately sold it to a woman who thinks she won the lottery since it's sold out. Get a decant - it's not a safe blind buy!

Wait, what? Did the influencers lie about this one? They would never!!! Sooooo, another overly hyped release with nothing to back the hype up. Opens with honeydew and bergamot, and then dries down with this weird, musty, cheap, milky coconut milk and then sweetness from some honey. And then, it's over... it's gone. This is actually a good thing because I would be really mad if I had to smell this cheap-smelling, bodyspray energy for any period of time. Think $20 cheap, Arab frag on Amazon. It's not horrific (like Caramel Cascade- which is literally fart spray) but it's not good. Makes me sad to write this because Gabby is adorable and I wanted her to have a winner.

I really can’t pretend to like it any more... thought I was going to love this... I gave it so many tries, and waited to maybe get better over time! But no! Today is the day I just have to give up on it and pass it to my mom or something 🤷🏼♀️(like I usually do with the perfumes I don’t like) . There’s something about this scent that makes me hate it... the creaminess really don’t work at all with the melon...if it was fresher I think it would of been amazing!

I was really mislead with the description and the fragrance notes. I thought for sure this would be a slam dunk winner. I was wrong. It smells nothing like melon, green or otherwise. It sadly smells like an expensive Bath and Body works creation. I get none of the notes described and I am a super-smeller. All I get is a floral soapy scent. Would not recommend.

.... literally no longevity. There is something off putting about this.... kinda reminds me of stale or sickly breath??!? I've only had it for a day, so maybe it will take some time to settle and develop. Right now I'm disappointed as I have LOVED the previous Navitus collabs.... Definitely not a safe blind buy.

I loved it when I first sprayed it, it smelled really nicely of melon, but now after about ten minutes it smells sour and soapy. It’s a shame, because I really wanted to like it. This is the first time a perfume has changed like this on my skin.

I’m so sad. The opening is stunning, juicy with creamy coconut. It’s a little sweet from the honey but also fresh and airy. I thought it would be my signature summer scent. However, as it dries down on the skin, it gets synthetic and plasticky.

There was a fleeting whisper of melon before it settled into just coconut milk and honey. I’m letting it sit for a few days before I try again but so far, I’m pretty disappointed. I had really hoped for a creamy melon scent and this isn’t it.

To the reviewer below, no one is being “mean” or “silly”. We wouldn’t say it smelled like urine, diapers, dirty, etc. if it didn’t literally smell like that to us. Yes, for a significant portion of the population, the dry down is not only “weird”, it’s actually offensive and intolerable. The opening is beautiful, and I truly wish I just smelled the “boring” watery coconut some people have lamented. I was just excited to get a true melon scent as there are so few, but I was completely unprepared for it to smell like a urinal. If anyone is curious about why this happened to some people, I suspect melon accords are challenging, which may be why this is one of very few fine fragrances to give honeydew the center stage. Melons themselves have no oils that can be isolated...their flavors and aromas are usually suggested by the chemical Calone or its derivatives. These chemicals are also used to suggest marine notes like brine and even oysters. Read Matvey Yudov’s article about Calone where he mentions one used in high concentration for Secretions Magnifiques. I’m not a professional, but I wonder if things went wrong when they decided to mix these tricky melon accords with a honey accord, which is also perceived as urine by many people—something that’s also been documented extensively in forums on here. For what it’s worth, I did ask for opinions from others before I got rid of my bottle, and they denied smelling anything bad. They said it smelled “vaguely fruity” and “tropical” after it dried. That would have been a win for me, but I smelled urine from the nozzle, on paper, and on my skin.

In my opinion it is a good tropical fragrance with milky coconut and bright bergamot in the opening. Unfortunately I don’t detect any melon in the scent AT ALL, it is more like a soft ripe peachy note but at the end I am perceiving only vanilla and coconut here. It is very pretty, subtle and feminine. I can’t imagine a man wearing it tbh. It does not remind me of any other fragrance that I own, but the biggest miss here is longevity. I have counted a total of 3 hours on skin. I will surely wear it in the summer and see what happens. I do wish it projected more (being Extrait de Parfum) and it smelled more like an actual honeydew melon. No melon kiss was ever found in my bottle. I am still waiting... It should have been named “Coconut Kiss”. Name is totally misleading.

The bottle is cute, and the juice smells like melon in the beginning, but once it dries down, it starts to smell like pee. At one point it dried down into a powdery melon scent, and I thought that awful urine scent evaporated, but alas, I sniffed my arm an hour later, and the pee scent creeps its way back 😞 I would say its Bath and Bodyworks quality, but at least BBW doesn't have body sprays that smell like pee. I tried this sample on 3 other people and out of the 4 of us, it smelled fruity and like melon on just one person. This fragrance is the type that will choose its chosen one, and I, unfortunately, am not one of them.

I love Gabby and I own and adore both her other releases: Chocolate queen and Baklava royale. Unfortunately, melon kiss is not for me, although I was so excited for it. It has an animalic smell to it that I can’t get past, sorry. I’m very sensitive to animalic notes. I can smell the melon, and it smells amazing, but I can’t get past this animalic smell. This fragrance had so much potential in my opinion. The animalic note is like the one in vanille de tahiti which I personally cannot stand. If you enjoy melon kiss, I’m so jealous coz I really wanted to love it too!

Honestly Melon Kiss has been a weird unexpected experience. I’m definitely getting the tropical vibes right off the bat like Coconut, Pineapple and maybe a very light Melon, but I was really disappointed with the poor sillage and the longevity is giving me. Also, where’s the honey note? Lost with the melon I guess. This is definitely all about the coconut (Water not Milk). I was expecting way more Melon than I got. Edit: this one got better with time! I am truly enjoying it now.

Realistic honeydew and young coconut for less than a minute before fading to old urine...not sure if this is an issue with quality control or if it’s just the nature of the accords...I do own a number of melon scents, including some from cheap brands, and while I’m familiar with the “ozonic” sharpness they can suggest, this is my first time encountering a melon gone so awry. Not since Tom Ford Vanilla Sex has my nose been so offended by a perfume.

Im very glad I bought a sample of this. The melon is very real and I know the vanilla is somewhere trying to be seen but it dries down to a pee smell. I cannot figure out from the notes listed what it could possibly be. Is it off? Is this the legit smell? It reeks bad I’d have cried if I took the plunge and bought a full bottle

The coconut ruined it for me. It's not a tropical coconut, it's a more literal earthy type of note. The fragrance bounces between SOUR & EARTHY. I was hoping for something sweet, aquatic, fruity... overall, it's a somewhat confusing fragrance. I would not wear this at all.

When you discover fragrances like Granita by Aziri Paris you suddenly realize Melon Kiss smells nothing like melon 🍈 it’s just coconut, citrusy notes and vanilla. Simple as simple can be. Not worth $195 out of my pocket. In my book this is NOT a melon fragrance.

I purchased a 5ml sample and was excited to try it as I’ve never smelled a perfume with melon notes. The opening was nice, but it unfortunately turned into a urine smell in the dry down. I’m disappointed but also glad I didn’t blind buy the full bottle!

Horeible sentetic overripe melon, the one you think is ripe and ready but if you open its all saggy en watery and the flies come. I cant stand this . Its like the cheap cream melon liquer from aldi midle aisle when christmas time

To me this just smells off. There is no sweetness. I get melon on the first spray then it becomes truly awful, musty, nasty, I don’t smell urine, just something off. A proper scrubber.

Melon Kiss is not giving any melon vibes? What the heck is honeydew melon supposed to smell like? Strength is 5/10. Longevity is 4/10 very soft. Not full bottle worthy for me.

This is a review of the body spray from Navitus in the white bottle. Which I’ve heard is the exact same thing apparently. (Then why is it also 100 ml but $100 cheaper??? Idk but sus lol) I bought cabana sunset and this for free. First thing I smelled on first sniff was an airy sweet aquatic but gourmand coconut. I was expecting a blast of melon. Gabby goes on and on about this honeydew melon right, but either I don’t know how honeydew melon smells or the melon is not here. I get the creamed honey part in the dry down in the most refined way. Maybe I’m just used to the melon in Erba Pura not a honeydew melon honestly I’m confused. It’s got something I’m not familiar with so it might be that hd melon. I might have to go buy one and crack it open and take a whiff haha. Anyways this is sexy, it doesn’t smell designer but it gives me bougie Tom Ford vibes. It’s got a sexy niche aura that I strongly appreciate. I’ve been down this niche rabbit-hole for a few years so I appreciate the uniqueness and that distinct raw materials smell that this has. My first thought was “this is sexy!” It lasts so long and it projects and it so damn sexy! I feel kinda bad because I didn’t buy this in the bottle when it launched because the notes sounded meh tbh but boy was I wrong, I also recently got baklava royal in a sample and I’m getting a full bottle of that. Sorry I doubted you Gabby! Lesson learned. Edit: day 4 I finally got a big blast of melon woo hoo! Love love love!

This is one of those perfumes that reminds you to try for yourself. I’ve got a 150 bottle collection and work in a niche perfumery. I read a lot of reviews and smell more fragrance than the average person. I’ve spent a bit of time with this one and I don’t get dirty diaper or urine. I own Mendittorosa Osang and if you want to read some reviews about a urine note, go there. I’m not sure how anyone would get a true urine note from this scent. Yes honey can morph into a urine note but I don’t feel this has the weight/darkness to pull it off. That brings me to my only issue, it’s so light. It doesn’t last on my skin for more than four hours. So it’s nice while it’s around. The melon makes the vanilla crisp. It’s sweet, but balanced. The honey note is light. It’s not groundbreaking, but that doesn’t mean it not good. I haven’t seen so many bad reviews with similar grievances. Someone told me it’s due to the house collaborating with a reviewer. I can’t imagine people would be that petty so I’m going to assume that it’s a frag that can go wildly wrong on some people. It’s a pretty benign fragrance, but since I'm seeing enough people here feeling otherwise I’d say get a sample first.
