Paradis Exotique

I bought several fragrances from Navitus, love the house. This is very bright and ginger-spicy, lightly sweet, refreshing, great sillage and longevity. Reminds me a bit of Vibrato, but definitely not the same. Definitely unisex. Very happy with everything from this house thus far.

Surprisingly found (almost) the whole line at a store today, but out of the two dozen plus fragrances I tried, only 6 stood out: 2 of them turned out to be dupes and the other 2 were just okay after all, which leaves Nuit Royale and this basic–citrus, herbal, & slightly minty–fresh scent, which is not bad but nothing special, while the rest of the line smelled cheap and/or awful... I am genuinely surprised by the hype that surrounded this brand and disappointed in the YouTuber I once watched. The most ridiculous thing is the cost—This seems like another run-of-the-mill Middle Eastern brand that's all about faux luxury; I can't believe just because they hit the jackpot (with 2 dupes) a couple years ago, they felt comfortable enough to create a collection that's $100 more than the already unreasonable price!

I'm testing Navitus scents via the discovery set and I'm finding that they have quite a few citrus forward ones, many of which smell more masculine leaning and a bit sharp on my skin. This one also smells a bit harsh on initial spray, but quickly dries down to a calmer citrus with a sweeter undertone. This one smells the most unisex of the citrus-y offerings to me. I really like this one. Regarding Navitus itself, I think they offer a wide enough variety that everyone can find something here to really fall in love with. Best route is to test first, as there are a few perfumes that I thought I would love based on the note profile, but didn't quite smell too appealing on me.
