Peach Aurum

So who is rating this as weak and way overpriced when it hasn't even started shipping yet? Haters gonna hate but I'm sure Sharida ate! Will update and add my review soon .. @David159 Peach Cobbler I guess ? Review update. Its a lovely, musky, peachy amaretti-biscuit perfume that is not super gourmand but you do detect a little butteriness in the opening and the condensed milk which comes out in the drydown is one of my favourite parts. I used to own My Burberry Black in which the peach became quite overpowering in the end and I stopped wearing it This has just enough peach which for me is neither fresh, nor baked, its somewhere in the middle like a lightly poached peach with amaretti biscuits sprinkled on top.The amaretto dissipates quite quickly and the other notes come into play. It also reminds me of peach Danish pastries the ones with the puff pastry and half a peach in the middle more so than it does Cobbler. That said it is still a perfumey perfume rather than a straight up dessert gourmand. The pastry note also reminds me a little of the croissanty Lost In A Dream. It isn't weak but it isn't as much of a powerhouse in the projection department as say Ambrosia Imperiale. It lasts overnight on skin and longer on clothing. Oak leaves are not a note I am familiar with and searching it on here it seems pretty rarely used. I can't say that its a tree that I have paid much attention to its odour either so if you asked me how an oak leaf smells I would have no clue. Come Spring and I will be out there sniffing the leaves now lol .The drydown is very pretty so they work! I would say this is wearable all year round and for any occasion. In short - a versatile peach scent with a sweet, comforting, musky drydown.

I do think it's overpriced. For comparison, CH good girl flankers are 170 USD now, along with these Navitus perfumes. At least CH perfumes perform better, but they don't have the uniqueness of Peach Aurum, Vanilla Eclat etc. But Peach Aurum doesn't have horrible performance. People are definitely over-exaggerating on here. I get a solid 3-4 hours with 6-8 sprays and a nice scent bubble (moderate projection). It's not beast mode, but it does linger for a few hours. And I'm not sure what people are smelling!? This IS a peach cobbler, with the FLAKES and sugared musk aspects of the crumble of a peach cobbler. I smell the puff pastry, baked peach (specifically), amaretto, a hint of cinnamon, and sugared musk. What more do people want from a peach cobbler scent? Sharida's creative direction was amazing! You get an elevated perfume of a peach cobbler, without being too edible or artificial. This is a peach that's never been done before. I have nothing like it in my collection. It may even become my signature scent, it IS that good!! Of course I would like performance to be a bit better, maybe even beast mode, but I'm sure with maceration it'll improve it's performance. And it already does perform for longer than 15 min to an hour lol! Why are people saying it's non-existant?

To my nose this is an unsweetened peach pastry with a lovely sexy musky dry down. A diet gourmand imo. There isn't much projection but, it does last for hours on my skin sitting close to the body, I love wearing this to bed. It's a neck nuzzler. Mahni Cassonade is still my favorite from Sharida! But this is sexy lite gourmand fragance to my nose and I like it!

To me, this is like Angel's Share, but make it "peach". The puff pastry note really shines, but in no way is this a sickly sweet gourmand. It's attractive and alluring to the point you just want to keep smelling it nonstop. It's tame enough to be a daily driver throughout the fall and winter, but it's also sensual enough to pull out on special occasions.

I love it! It starts out as a delicious peach cobbler, but quickly turns into a gorgeous perfumey gourmand. A very well balanced, rounded peach melds with the creamy condensed milk! The amaretto in the top adds a gorgeous sweet nuance and the puff pastry is "crispy", not doughy! This is such a sophosticated take on this decadent desert! Love!!

Mine arrived yesterday, but I’m on vacay and had a friend get it off the porch. I can’t wait to try it and review. Navitus gourmands are great for cold weather, strong and lasts forever.

I blind bought Peach Aurum bc I have watched Sharida on YouTube over the years and really enjoy her content. She is a Blk woman who is the creative director over this as many of you already know. I wanted to support her. I curate fragrance events and I have a small but burgeoning section I share of Black women influencing the world of perfumery. I feel like this is a part of history. I sprayed some on myself and someone sd, "I smell pumpkin 🥧 pie!" I told her it wasn't pumpkin but it was cinnamon. I walked over to her and when I got closer, she sd, "I can smell the cinnamon now!" I don't pick up on the peach. I do get the beautiful Amaretto in the opening. I love a good boozy fragrance. This is an extrait. It sits very close to the skin in the most intimate way. If you liked Sharida's 1st fragrance, Mahni Cassonade....I think you'll enjoy this. If Mahni WASNT a hit for you like it wasn't for me, this is still worth trying. They don't smell alike but their performance is the same. This is an adult gourmand. Don't be afraid of this if you aren't TYPICALLY into peach. This isn't an extremely sweet fragrance. Its top tier niche, it's unisex. It doesn't have a lot of alcohol. The perfume oil concentration is noticeable and rather high. Its quietly whispered luxury. It does not take you on a long journey. The bottle is GORGEOUS! I can't wait to see my friends' facial expression in person when they try it at the next fragrance event.

i think i'll have to be in the mood to wear this perfume, but i do think it's pretty! it opens with a boozy, slightly cooked peach that still has a bit of tang to it. as it dries down, the fragrance gets rich and warm with the cinnamon, and it's almost like the peach cooks down further into a more muted fruity scent. the puff pastry accord isn't too buttery (thank goodness) or prominent so it isn't overly gourmand. after sitting on my skin for a bit, it settles into a woody, musky, spiced cider. i wish the peach lasted longer and i could actually smell the rose. the performance, however, is abysmal. i'll update if it gets better over time.

I do enjoy how this fragrance wears overall, but surprisingly I do not detect any notable fruitiness, nor do I detect much spice. Yet, Peach Aurum will feel familiar to anyone that has worn or sampled Jany by SoraDora but without the apple elements of that fragrance. Peach Aurum gives off similarly sweet buttery pastry vibes to Jany, but it is certainly no clone of Jany. In short, I am pleased with the fragrance overall despite the note breakdown being distanced from the reality of the fragrance.

This opens with a buttery note that fades within minutes and never fully ventures into true gourmand territory. For me, it never quite lands on being a peach cobbler. However, it does have gourmand aspects, reminding me more of a hot toddy and peach hard candies. The dry down is beautifully musky, with the oak leaves adding a unique touch. The projection is minimal, staying close to my skin, though that might change since this is a new bottle and may need more time to macerate.

I was a little unsure about this one at first, but the drydown is soooo lovely. Fragrant, sweet sugar peach that doesn’t smell artificial. Not really a gourmand in the way I think of them, but tasty nonetheless. Intimate against the skin. An autumn cuddle.

Peach Aurum opens with a buttery puff pastry note paired with an almond-y Amaretto drink mixed with spicy cinnamon. There is a little bit of a stewed peach, but it's secondary to the boozy Amaretto and cinnamon. I can detect a soft rose that melds with the stewed peach, but it doesn't add a flowery aspect, thank goodness. The opening is my favorite part of the fragrance. Unfortunately, the puff pastry and peach notes disappear so quickly and then I'm left with an Amaretto spiced with cinnamon on a woody base. The cinnamon here is not the sweet syrupy cinnamon like in Angels' Share, but more of a dry, hot cinnamon (think Red Hots or Big Red gum). The stewed peach is in the opening for about 10 minutes and then it gets softer and softer and soon becomes buried in the background and forgotten about. I don't think the name or the marketing paint an accurate picture of what you actually smell based on my experience. No peach cobbler on my skin, sadly. It's more of a cinnamon-y Amaretto that turns into cinnamon and woods rather than a baked dessert. In the faaar dry down (hours later), I'm able to pick out the condensed milk. I wish the puff pastry, peach, and condensed milk were more pronounced and the cinnamon was toned way down. In terms of comparison, the almond-y smell from the Amaretto combined with the spicy cinnamon is giving me Xerjoff Starlight vibes. I have Starlight and have been comparing them side-by-side and they are not identical (Starlight is sweeter and has additional spices), but they share the same vibe, especially as Peach Aurum dries down and the peach is no longer detectable. I can also see the comparison to Jany, but Jany is much more peachy. Final thoughts: Despite its name, Peach Aurum doesn't smell like a peach fragrance nor is it a gourmand. If you were hoping it would smell like a dessert, or at least dessert-like, that's what I had hoped too, but it's not what I get. To me, it's more spicy and woody and reminds me of a Christmas candle or holiday air freshener because of the strong cinnamon note. Reminiscent of Bath and Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. It's quite spicy and I would categorize it as unisex, possibly leaning masculine because of the spiciness and lack of sweetness. I actually think it would smell better on a man. If you are waiting on a full bottle, I would highly recommend resisting the temptation to open it until you have sampled it first so that you don't lose the opportunity to return it if you don't like it. Peach Aurum isn't a bad scent, it just doesn't match the description or the images of the peach cobbler inspiration, so it's not what I was expecting or hoping for.

Very feint rose/oak/Musk with a little bit of spice on first wear. Hard to tell to be honest, it barely smells of anything. I feel catfished, even the cheapest Lattafa/Fragrance World etc fragrances start out stronger than this. Not worth the price. At this price it shouldn't need to 'sit' (which is not maceration, BTW). I'm not someone who requires (or always enjoys) 'beast mode' but this is barely discernable and leaves the equivalent of a shower gel strength skin scent, an hour after showering. Do the free PR brigade get a different product? I can't see how anyone would advertise this with a straight face otherwise! If anything changes I will update.

I really like this fragrance but IT DOES NOT LAST. I’ve worn it everyday since I received it. Generously sprayed skin and clothes and in less than an hour, it’s completely gone. I’m going to let it sit for a couple months and try again after it’s had time to settle. I really want to love this, but if the performance doesn’t improve, this will be the last Navitus fragrance I purchase.

Peaches on their way into fermentation. this is boozy, with more mild peach notes. Not very sweet, not very gourmand.

This smells like a peach cobbler candle

Echoing the sentiments right below, this fragrance has no presence and no longevity whatsoever. It’s a big (huge) disappointment coming from someone like Bertrand Duchaufour. I don’t know what to think. Did they finish it on a hurry? Cheap and weak. No peach found as a main note. This is Amaretto and Oak, something woody and slightly fruity. Not worth the price tag. Not even with discounts applied. It performs like a body mist. For the ridiculous price I would say it’s a no go.

Not quite the gourmand for me. In fact it doesn't smell nice at all on my skin. The milk smells sour/ spoilt on me (I don't think that note works on my skin) and the fruits are there amongst the sourness. It kind of reminds me of baby food/ fruit and milk on a bib. I am glad I sampled it first.

Smells so good but I wish it lasted longer than 10 minutes on skin. What a flop!! Really disappointing performance. The price is ridiculous!!

It's peach with some spices and amaretto fragrance. I like it. The peach is .... weird, but no one promised me peach jam of fresh peach... It's not gourmand per se, but definitely has some gourmand aspects. I like aromatic accords in there. My biggest complaint - it doesn't last at all! 15 minutes in and it's barely there. In 30 minutes - I need either to re-apply or put my nose into my hand in hope to get at least something from it. Maybe it's just because it needs some maceration.

I get more of a peachy perfumey liquor than any type of peach dessert. It doesn’t quite become gourmand, which is kinda sad. More shampooey than dessert. After smelling this on myself for awhile it finally dawned on me what this reminds me of. Zadig & Voltaire This Is Her! It has the same creamy tartness, that weird thing that you either hate or love. Peach Aurum also has it, but the shampooey peach version.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this sophisticated scent because of the mixed reviews, but I couldn't be happier with it. A hint of sweetness and creaminess with a hint of spice characterize the dry down. A subtle peach note is there, but it doesn't overpower the aroma. Also, in the few times I have worn this I've received multiple compliments from coworkers. What great taste Sharida possesses. Well done!

To my nose i get this buttery bread smell in the opening, that doesnt last long, (although i wish it did) after that i pickup on this ripe peach smell with this light spicy vibe in the background. Based of the notes you would assume it will be super edible gourmand, but no its still quite perfumery. Cannot wait to see how this develops over time

Glad I didnt blind buy this , cause the prices are insane for something that never seems to give fully what the marketing notes are selling you , leaving you half only satisfied because your spending close to 200 bucks and you cant even return or exchange it ....how exciting , not. And this doesnt smell like cobbler , thats a selling gimmick.

This is GOOD and perfect for the fall/holiday season. Even if peach isn’t your thing, I think this is one that does peach right. A gourmand that’s not too foodie, this is truly a perfumey take on a delicious treat. The rose and oak notes give the perfect touch. Well done again!

Peach is a difficult note for me but I love this one. It's boozy, sweet and decadent. Too me, this is a spring and summer gourmand due to It's lack of longevity. This is the kind of scent that blooms in warm weather
