Primas

Opens up like Dylan Blue, Sauvage ETC but after not long, it starts to change to something more exquisite. On my skin, yes the green mango comes out. This might mislead people that are thinking sweet yellow mango, but green mango is not that sweet. It smells like green mango skin just being peeled, which I don't know how to explain if you don't know it. This blends perfect into the oakmoss, which becomes the primary note on my skin with some rosewood, white musks behind it. And this LASTS. Now if I totally ignore the notes stated, I would just make two points. 1) This is like Dylan Blue if Dylan Blue lasted 2 days. 2) The guy who wears sauvage will smell this on you and say "You're cologne smells like mine but better!" I'm not against cloning, but if you're gonna do it, you better do it better. Here, I'd say Navitus did

I've only worn Primas 2 times from the Discovery Set. The first time I thought to myself: "no, not another Aventus clone" I did get a 'dirt' note but it was Aventus again and I have enough clones so I dismissed it. Fast forward a month or two, after really liking some of their other fragrances I decided to try again and man did I get Primas wrong the first time. It does have an Aventus feel, it's not a clone, it's just on the same category but this is something else entirely. The mango and the earthy notes do amazing things for Primas, performance is quite good and I just fell in love, love at second sight so I couldn't help but to pull the trigger and get a full bottle.

If you want a near identical clone of hacivat without the hacivat price tag then look no further. And currently this is also cheaper than hacivat for the 50 ml. Both will garner you compliments, but in my experience more so with primas. It’s most definitely a head turner fragrance for sure. I think the only difference between the two is hacivat is more of an special occasion upscale refined scent whereas primas is an everyday anywhere attention getter scent. I highly recommend sampling each one and then buying one based off how it best suits your lifestyle.

This is a fantastic fragrance for the spring and summer. Longevity and Sillage is amazing as well as I got 10+ hours on my skin. The first day I wore it to work I was complimented as soon as I walking into the elevator at work. I work at Disney and one of the guest even came up to me and said “can I give you a hug, cause you smell really good” which was awkward but cool at the same time. All In all 10/10 in my book!

This fragrance is SUPERB!!!. smells NOTHING to armaf or to AVENTUS... but smells very similar to HACIVAT by nishane. And if you want to compare, is similar to Cedrat Boise than to AVENTUS. but of course is much more rounder and smokier than Cedrat Boise.

Do you love Aventus DNA? You will love this. Do you love smoky Aventus DNA? You must buy this. It has more birch smell than any other available Aventus DNA. Birch in Primus goes well not overpowering and not faint.

Another great product from Navitus. Scent is definitely a big crowd pleaser. Plenty of sillage, great longevity. Could be an everyday scent.

Navitus Parfums Primas is one of the original seven releases, a nice fresh-and-smoky mix that works well both in the heat of summer and in other cases. Its main contributing note categories are a citrus/fruity mix and various woods, so it’s unsurprisingly fresh from the top, drying down into something woodier. The rosewood in particular lingers on my skin from the opening to dry down, and this is great for me, as I’m generally a big fan of rosewood in fragrance. I don’t particularly detect the mango in the opening but the bergamot/grapefruit mix feels right, so I suspect the mango is what’s keeping it from being too tart, with just a hint of sweetness. The fairly large scent cloud at the opening gives way to a more modest but dense projection within the hour, roughly equivalent to my experience with some of the other fragrances in the line, with the ouds being predictably denser. I’m pleased with Primas’ performance, though, as it remains dense while being smooth and well-blended on the dry down. In short, I like its evolution. I’m not sure why Primas comes off smoky to me, but I take it that the particular combination of woods (rosewood, cedar, amber wood), patchouli, and oakmoss yield that effect in this case. It does vaguely remind me of Creed Aventus, Mancera Cedrat Boise, and the like, though Primas lacks both pineapple and blackcurrant. Primas is not as fresh as either of the two aforementioned, leaning smokier than most of the fragrances of this ilk, even though Aventus is known for having various levels of birch, which is smoky. So while Primas does not win huge points for uniqueness due to fairly easy comparisons to Aventus (and friends), it’s very well crafted, feels complete, and has a smoky leaning that makes it a bit more versatile than purely fresher alternatives. It could very well be a signature scent for a man or woman, though it does lean a little masculine to me. Like most of the line, Primas is priced at $195/135 for 100/50ml through the Navitus website as well the websites of Perfumology and Osswald NYC. 7 out of 10

This doesn't smell like Aventus to me. It is pleasant, but not really my cup of tea...I like others in this line more. However, the longevity of this fragrance has to be experienced to be believed. I sprayed one spray (from a sample) on the back of my hand about 18 hours ago. Even through 7 hours of sleep and a shower, I can still get a whiff of this. That is quality.

Primas is a really interesting scent! It's definitely got that 'fresh start' vibe they talk about in the description. The mango and grapefruit combo is super bright and juicy, but then it settles into something warmer and more grounded with the patchouli and cedar. I get compliments on this one a lot.

Primas is like hacivat but more masculine and less fruity. Instead it has more wood and oakmoss. I dont know what makes it but if feels ''spicy'' almost like an blue versison of PDM kalan. I like it, its more versatile! Sillage is strong! Longevity is 10h + but stays on skin until next day.

In the air it smells like hacivat with green mango twist I actually like it more than hacviat I don’t know why All this hate I don’t care if they copy roja’s flacon Or hacivat formulation i’d suggest to try a sample Enjoy !

This definitely justify ’niche’ quality. Primas to me , reminds of hacivat very closely yet Mango note on the top is what makes this unique. Overall, it's a woody, fruity scent. Navitus is an under-rated house !!

Oakmoss is the main note I smell in this after it dries. It's very woody, but the opening has a bit of a slightly sweet citrus. Sharp, however. In the air, it smells ok, but on my skin, it's a bit harsh to my nose. This could be a signature fragrance. It's masculine and spicy. A little smokey, and very unique. In the air, it's bright and smokey, a little dirty and woody. I think this could work for most situations except date night. It would be a little harder to pull this off on a date, but still possible in my eyes. I think it's nice, but not for me.

Yuck. Having tested both Hacivat and Aventus, this is hands down an awful attempt at a copy. I get the same background citrus musk from hacivat and the woodiness from aventus, but the earthy and oakmoss elements completely destroy this fragrance for me as a citrus lover. Any time someone calls out clones, i'm usually the first to jump in and say it's not really a clone. But come on guys, they even stole the bottle designs from Roja Dove...

On skin it smells like another creed aventus attempt. The first 2 hours are good, though as it dries down it gets very chemically-cloying smelling, like lemon dish soap.

Jorge Lee sells his Nishane formula with more birch to Navitus. Fin. Hard pass.

Horrible, crass Aventus clone. Up there with Hacivat as the worst iteration of this concept, for me at least. A nauseating vomit accord comes out withing 5 minutes on my skin. To me this smells more like vomit than Sombre.

They've stolen Roja Parfums packaging, this one being Elysium. Screw these guys.

So I get this Green Mango accord 🥭 at first that gives it this ripe and fresh vibe but it doesn't last long for the life of the fragrance. The freshness still remains up top with the Grapefruit but then it dries down into something woodier. I also get a smoky vibe from the Rosewood Cedarwood, and the Dark Amberwoods along with the Patchouli. The fact that it's smoky to me, the combination of woods (rosewood, cedar, amberwood), patchouli, and oakmoss brings that smoky-earthy vibe which dominates the life of the fragrance. So to summarize this fragrance is fresh, smoky and woody. It's also versatile as well and it's got a lot depth. Some people may say this may remind them of Creed Aventus but not every fresh/woody fragrance has that Creed DNA. This fragrance goes it's own direction which I like and this will be my go to for the Spring and Summer months. As well as all seasons.

this fragrance is nothing like Aventus. this is very clean, crisp, woody, citrusy fragrance. this is beautiful fragrance for summer day or perfect office fragrance. it last 6-7 hours with ok projection. but does it need be monstrous performer in the office? i dont think so. clean, crisp and last good 7 hours with moderate projection, so this is the perfect fragrance for the office. but of course, this is also perfect fragrance for anywhere. might not be cold weather fragrance and also some situation that you want to be noticed. but this one leave a good impression for sure. 24 hours after application, 1 shower, it still on the back of my hand as a skin scent. the lasting power is impressive.

my favorite from Navitus with aweigh being close 2nd. Primas is a direct competitor to creed aventus. Masculine big balls type fragrance. This blend is composed masterfully and keeps you engaged throughout the entire wearing. Extremley satisfying smelling on skin and in the air. Modern, sexy and masculine. This is THE perfect signature scent for a man. Any season, any occasion. The citrus notes up-top dissapate very quickly and you're left with a quintessential smokey masculine aura. Projection is amazing and I still detect a scent on my skin 12 hours after application.

Jorge Lee. Same perfumer that did Nishane Hacivat. I have both Primas and Hacivat. Almost like he tried to recreate the magic of Hacivat again. Hacivat is blended better than Primas. Just a smoother, better fragrance overall. Primas also gets really musky in the drydown and is darker and has more oakmoss. If you have a choice, get Hacivat instead. Hacivat made me leave Aventus alone. It's that good after the drydown.

I’m burnt out on all the Latin terms. I found this enjoyable, but not original in any way. At first I get a Cedrat Boise vibe. Not Aventus. Again, not entirely original. Good, not great. So far disappointed with the fact 6 of 7 in the discovery set were reminiscent or near duplicates of others. Amazed how many fragrances they are releasing in such a short time.

Aventus type of DNA but I smell animalic oud or civet note in here with a dry and ashy tobacco note too...so I guess in the same style as Cedrat boise but not as sweet/fruity, a little more on the peppery/earthy/leathery side with lots of civet/oud

What's up with all the hate on this? It can't possibly be that bad? I haven't tried it or anything but just react on the dislike column. The love/hate ratio seems unreasonable. Should be checked by the moderators.

Got it from perfumery India. What a creation. It's amazing scent with great performance and luxury smelling. It will stay on your skin for minimum 9-10 hours.

Im wondering if Blockade from Mind Games smells a lot like this? It has the Aventus/Hacivat dna with mango.
