Tempt Me Not

compared to EG: i've never smelled escapade gourmande, but i do own maitha by lattafa which is touted as a perfume oil dupe of EG. to my nose, they definitely have similar DNA, but tempt me not has more depth to its sweetness and smells more "caramelized". while i don't think they're identical, i'd say having maitha (or any EG perfume oil) and tempt me not for layering is practical, but owning both escapade gourmande and tempt me not would be redundant. tempt me not is basically the vanilla toffee perfume i've been looking for. brown sugar, caramel, toffee, tonka, and vanilla? yes please. and it smells just like how it sounds, with the heliotrope adding the perfect powdery touch. the dry down is what i really can't get enough of, the toffee really comes out on my skin and it's this rich, sticky sweetness that i keep getting whiffs of. if you're also a gourmand lover and you just want to smell edible, sweet without being too cloying, cozy, and a little bit sensual, i think this is probably a safe bet. if you're put off by the milk note, i personally don't pick up on it so i wouldn't call this lactonic myself. hempz toasted vanilla caramel lotion + lattafa maitha perfume oil + tempt me not = absolute match made in heaven. edit: the longevity and projection of this fragrance is seriously lacking. this is my first navitus perfume and i've heard many people say that their fragrances need time to sit to perform better, but i mean.. i expect that from my $50 and under middle eastern fragrances, not one that's $170. i'll give it time before making my final judgement on performance since i've only had it a couple days, just disappointed thus far.

Darkly delicious and gourmand! This is a yummy darkly browned sugar and creamy caramel fragrance layered on a sweet vanilla base. It’s thick, syrupy, and smells like it would taste divine, but it does not become cloying. I personally don’t detect the heliotrope or any floral notes and while there is a creaminess to it the milky/lactonic notes are not overly apparent or sour. To me, it is perfectly suited for fall and winter or at nights year round. Very comforting and delicious, smells absolutely edible. I think it could be too much in the hot summer and spring days, it would probably be overpowering or cloying. Longevity: Enormous! 14+ hours and I’m still catching whiffs of it as I move throughout the day, still delicious just not as often or strong.

I love this! It’s a gorgeous fragrance that smells exactly as described. I ended up giving in and buying a full bottle. I can smell the caramelised brown sugar, toffee, caramel and vanilla. It’s really delicious, decadent, cosy, warm, comforting and long lasting. Great for cool/cold seasons! I personally don’t think this smells like Mancera’s Amore Cafe, which I find nauseating. Escapade Gourmand (which I also have) is quite different in that it’s a caramel vanilla. Tempt Me Not is much richer and more of a thicker toffee/caramel. I struggle to layer Escapade Gourmand with other scents, but can see this working with several. I think this would be amazing layered with La Danza Delle Libellule for example. It’s divine!

This was a love for me straight out the box! I can see the Amore Caffe comparison, but this doesn't have a coffee note to it. It's a warm brown sugar and toffee vanilla goodness and can be worn year around. I tested this over the last few days and got roughly 6 hours of wear time out of it. This isn't a beast mode fragrance, but it isn't a skin scent either. My family could smell it well after I left the room, so the silage is good.

Better longevity then tomavicci and smells like escapade gourmade but with out the price tags of either. It has good sillage and is smooth more milky and when I say milky not sour creamy like ice cream rich vanilla favour and it’s not synthetic smelling. If you like that DNA go for this one for some reason this one is not overly cloying. I love it.

I'm really not much of a gourmand girl, but something in these notes just grabbed me. The brown sugar, the milk, the toffee oh my!! And Navitus was having a sale so I went for it, blindly. It is absolutely delicious!!! Sweet, yes. But not overwhelming. It gets compliments overtime I wear it and lasts for HOURS!! Thrilled with this blind buy!

I understand where this could compare to Escapade Gourmande but no this is completely different this is done more creamy and lactonic from the milk and caramel notes it’s so good every time I smell this I fall in love I love this so freaking much so sweet, warm and comforting.

A gourmand lovers dream! I purchased because I love Noelle so much but I’m wearing because it smells delicious! I highly suggest you smell this because it will be instant love. A little goes a long way so I guess that this bottle will last me a while!

This smells exactly like Escapade Gourmande and Caramelo Vanilla. They could be triplets. This is a sweet caramel lactonic fragrance. More creamy than milky. Nothing like Bianco Latte which is VERY milky. You will definitely smell like a dessert.

Very nice lingering creamy milky sugar. Much more complex than the Escapade Gourmande Maison Mataha, I like it more! The toffee comes through very nicely and a bit of the beautiful helitrope. I like it a lot :-))

Ive never watched Noelle, but this perfume is lovely! I will re-buy! I don’t detect an overdose of ambroxan but the longevity is there. Its nice and sweet without being overwhelmingly so. A successful blind buy!

Addicting, caramelized brown sugar scent that reminds me of Amore Caffe by Mancera. It also reminds me of a deeper, darker version of Escapade Gourmand. I’ve been layering it with Phlur’s Vanilla Skin.

Navitus is only shipping out bottles of this now. How can there possibly be negative reviews already?? I wish Fragrantica would remove these false reviews and block these trolls!

I read and viewed a few reviews about this fragrance, comparing it to a smoother, creamier alternative to Mancera "Amore Caffe." I am on my second full 120ml bottle of Amore Cafe, which I like a lot. I blind-purchased a new, 100ml bottle of "Tempt Me Not" because I located one at a pretty good price. So, Navitus "Tempt Me Not" is very pretty and a rather nice surprise. I like the fragrance a whole lot. There are similarities between Amore Caffe and Tempt Me Not but the fragrances are not identical. In short, Amore Caffe opens with strong, bright, aldehydic notes along with a vanilla, amaretto and a very boozy coffee accord. Tempt Me Not does not have coffee notes listed. I think if Tempt Me Not does project coffee notes in its opening, the notes are most reminiscent of a very sweet, "flavored coffee" and not a true black, or roasted, or dark coffee. The opening notes of Tempt Me Not are akin to a sugary, sweet, burnt toffee, burnt sugar, or sweet caramel accord. And Tempt Me Not is very lactonic in its initial performance, something Amore Caffe absolutely is not. Both fragrances dry-down with slightly creamy, vanilla, sweet base notes. Tempt Me Not is notably creamier and milkier than Amore Caffe. IMHO, Amore Caffe retains quite a bit of an amaretto liquor booziness throughout its entire wear. I like Tempt Me Not a whole lot! I just wish it performed more beastly and for a longer period of time. If you own Amore Caffe or Tempt Me Not, you do not need both. The fragrances are a bit redundant, albeit different.

I’ve seen a lot of comments saying that this smells exactly like Escapade Gourmand, I’m gonna have to disagree. It is similar, but definitely not the same. This is a sweet toffee fragrance but not overly like EG, for some reason I get sort of a smoky scent from it, I think it might be from the toffee. If you’re a fan of Escapade Gourmand, Bianco Latte, Eclaire and Amore Caffe, I think you’d like this. The only issue with this one, at least for me, is that it’s not really long lasting and the projection is too weak for my liking.

Smells good, like a mixture of Amore cafe + fire at will + Escapade gourmande. It's more creamy than lactonic on my skin, nice but redundant if you own EG or Amore Cafe. People saying this is the sexier version of EG.....well, it's definitely yummy but NOT a sexy frag.

I can't believe how weak this is. It's a good thing I got 10 mm of it bc that is about 4 wearings. It reminds me of Nyla Vani-elle. I used an entire bottle of it in a month. I can't imagine paying Navitus for basically a body spray.

What a beautiful fragrance! I can REALLY smell the Crème brûlée vibes! Wonderful Job on this one!! Sweet, but not too sweet, cozy and comforting :) definitely a great buy especially for fall and winter!

Had this since April. It's been sitting in a dark cool place. I thought the fragrance would last longer by now and have a little projection, but it's the bare minimum. I can barely smell it. I'm disappointed.

This initially smells wonderful like vanilla ice cream but as it settles it smells like burnt sugar, which I don’t find pleasant.
