The Embrace

I can't totally remember which YouTuber it was that mentioned this fragrance, but based on however they described it I ordered a sample and was eagerly waiting to put my nose on this. Well, let me tell ya, it did not disappoint! I wanted to buy a full bottle within the first five minutes of smelling it, but I had to slow myself down and say "hey, you need to wait at least an hour to make sure you like how it opens up." I definitely ordered a full bottle after that lol. This is a gourmand scent that opens up very nutty due to the sesame note. It doesn't smell specifically like sesame to me but more like a general nutty accord. The major player in this is the honey. The nuttiness opening fades but still lingers in the background, and then the honey is the heart of this scent. The honey stays prominent throughout the longevity. I love the honey in this the most. It is so yummy and intoxicating! There is also this slightly bitter, herbally nuance on the dry down that I can smell about an hour into the fragrance (and really only if I shove my face into where I sprayed it). It's probably from the vetiver and maybe even coffee (idk what vetiver smells like specifically though). It works very well with the rest of the notes and gives it a touch of depth. Longevity is very good, I can still smell hints of this on my shirt 24 hours later. This is a very good cozy, comforting scent. 10/10

The Embrace is a Middle Eastern realistic sesame tahini halva topped with honey. Never have I tried anything like this and I was super excited about this blind buy. Navitus surprised me again. The embrace is a solid gourmand fragrance but in a very classy, yet natural way. The raw sesame paste with balanced sweetness is the best you could want if you are in the pursuit of natural dessert smells and want to escape the trend of sickly sweet scents. There is an aromatic note that differentiates it from any similar fragrances that rely solely on sesame and honey. Fun fact - I was wondering why would they call it "The embrace", what was the origin. Still don't know, but on my way from the courier's office to home, I was of course impatient to try it out as soon as I can, so I sprayed it on my wrist. The similarity to the abovementioned dessert was the immediate impression, but all the way back I could feel the warm "embrace" of this fragrance around me even if I don't sniff it directly. It was like a sensual aura formed around you from the moment you spray it. Great longevity, the initial notes are well-preserved until the end, moderate sillage, wearable for the summer even during the peak temperatures. I absolutely love it and recommend it to the gourmand junkies out there who are looking for an escape from the commercial fragrances.

Wow - a unique creation. I wasn't aware that Monica Cioch had a fragrance out with Navitus. I often watch her videos although I don't always share the same fragrance taste with her, but I find her incredibly soothing to listen to and very elegant. This fragrance is so her! The sesame note is gorgeous, so warm and gourmand in the opening with the mandarin orange but fades into such a pleasing comforting blend of notes that I find really hard to distinguish between and with a slightly soapy vibe that I rarely enjoy, but here I do. Totally different notes but reminds me somewhat of Mon Guerlain in its comforting, natural skin sort of scent and not what you would expect with honey and coffee! It reminds me of a wheat body cream my mother owned in the 70s, quite delicate and soft in the drydown. Hence the name I guess - a comforting hug. I really want a full bottle of this. Was not expecting this concoction of notes to be quite so lovely. Smells very niche and the sesame won't be for everyone but I think its a classy all year rounder with daytime appeal. I tested a lot of Navitus perfumes yesterday from the discovery set, like 5 or 6 on both arms and didn't remember which one was this wonderful gourmand that smelled so good on my left arm... and I kept on getting wafts of it throughout the evening, and went back on all the fragrances that I've tested...and finally found the one that I was looking for ; THE EMBRACE...this is gooood!! So I've tested it again alone this evening: The opening is a burst of sesame that, to me smells almost like roasted rice...but in a good way, like the rice note in the opening of "One umbrella for two" from Floraiku or "Je ne sais quoi" from Téo Cabanel...(they don't smell alike but that note does to my nose) and it's mixed with a beautiful and very light honey, it's not sticky or too beewaxy... it's sweet but airy. The dry down is this luminous mix of honey with the mandarin that almost smells like orange chocolate vanilla to me... very pleasant and warm and cozy! I very much like it! I'll come back for performance and longevity !

What a beautiful opening! The sesame note is up front with this savory, nutty, dry roasted quality that is very unique yet all too fleeting. But I think if it stuck around too long it would become too much, so as it drys down, it disappers just in time to let your body heat warm up the honey and vanilla so this gorgeous sweetness mixed with the citrus and cedar lift off the skin into this full bodied scent. It really goes through big changes, so give this time to develope! The coffee reads as more of an earthy tea note to me, which radiates at arms length, but the deep dry with the vetiver, cedar, and honey are what I love the most. Perfect for the cold seasons and night time adventures! Moderate projection and great longevity this is a finely crafted fragrance with originality and style.

Unparalleled gourmand!!! With only 2 simple main accords, it's not to be matched or compared with any other gourmet scent at present~a stand alone epicure, for sure. Because of the sesame added, it's different, delicious and dark with touches of boozy Intoxication. I'm also getting a bitter almond note though not listed and gentle peaks of coffee and honey, here-n-there. Then comes the warmness of vanilla, dashes of spice and earthiness that nodoubt make for a well composed, awesome fragrance. An impressive, true definition of a gourmand fragrance. Blind buy worthy for sure but just try it for yourself!!

I could not love this fragrance more if you paid me to do so! It is exquisite! The honey is very forward on this one, yet it is not like anything I've ever smelled before. It is unique, and beautiful, and one of those scents that I'd rather not tell anyone about because I want to be the only one smelling this amazing. Yet, at the same time, I want to tell everyone about it because it is such a masterpiece. I don't think this would be a safe blind buy unless you're like me and just adore honey. I'd always said I would never buy anything over $150. This one convinced me otherwise.

Addictive & comforting, this is a coffee gourmand I can get onboard with! As the name suggests, The Embrace is like a cuddly, warm hug. It is the perfect blend of honey, coffee, sesame, and vanilla. This is as cozy as it’s gonna get. Not like the other coffee scents that overdo it on the sweetness and coffee, this one is just right. PS if you liked Jo Malone’s Scarlet Poppy but felt the performance was weak, get The Embrace instead. Very similar fragrance except The Embrace packs a punch.

Soft, cozy, inviting honey nuttiness that keeps me smelling my wrist like a maniac 😅😅😅 I love how the sesame here has this soft and cozy vibe accentuating the sweetness of the honey. To me, the sesame almost smells like chestnuts that have been warmed in the oven...such a perfect treat! This is for Fall/Winter nights spent with loved ones. Such a comforting and wonderful enveloping experience! I have to have a full bottle of this Beautiful Fragrance!!

Ditto everything iamshera623 said. I LOVE the sesame and honey notes, which are the most prominent to my nose. I also get the citrus note which keeps it from being too sweet. My heart is a little sad because I recently purchased this fragrance and since Spring is here, I won't be able to wear it much longer. Oh well, I will have something to look forward to in the fall.

Idc what anyone says, this is a gorgeous unisex fragrance. Nothing like it out there! The sesame and honey mix is so different and smells amazing! 100% gourmand. Makes you want to eat where ever you sprayed it.

I adore this fragrance. I don’t have anything like it. It smells so warm and beautiful. It’s a cozy and sexy scent. I can’t stop sniffing myself when I wear it. It’s just so intoxicating.

Sweet, oily, complex, rich and distinctive. A lot like Ultimate Aphrodisiac by Vivamor, especially in that oily quality. But a bit lighter/brighter than the latter. Familiar and unique at the same time. Not at all what I was expecting for bread on the notes. And it is pretty feminine for me (I'm female). The rounded richness and oiliness are a bit overwhelming for me, prefer to smell it on someone else. Performance is great! Update: okay, now I did a side by side comparison of The Embrace against the Ultimate Aphrodisiac by Vivamor. The Embrace opens with a bitter sesame (which is mainly notice at the very fist few minutes). Also later in the wear, it is more spicy-aromatic, I kind of get some cumin from it. While Ultimate Aphrodisiac is sweeter, more creamy and more feminine. Prefer Ultimate Aphrodisiac, it is much better for my liking!

Opens up with a mesmerizing nutty sesame note (kinda like soy powder or peanut butter), mixed with golden syrup. To me, it's mostly a sweet vanilla gourmand with some fluffy nuttiness and cocoa/coffee powder. Nothing aromatic at all. I'm always iffy about the honey note, because it can be sharp sometimes. But the honey note here only provides the gluey sweetness, nothing offending at all. I've tried this next to chocolate queen, raised spirits, and venom of love. The other ones have slight resemblance to other frags that I've smelled, but Embrace is its own unique frag. I didn't know I'd love the sesame note so much, however, I just wish it can be less sweet. It's like 120% sugar and can get a bit cloying.

Testing this one out today! I actually really like this one... it'd be a unique one to have in my collection! Upon the initial spray, it was a burst of roasted almonds (despite no almond notes listed here...) But perhaps the coffee and sesame give off an almond vibe. The honey makes it so warm and sweet, but not overly to the point of being cloying. I do enjoy gourmands, and this an edible one! But here's my gripe. I can definitely smell it on myself when I lift up my arm, etc. But I don't think this projects much on myself. My rule is that if a perfume doesn't project, I can't justify a price tag over $100.

Nutty, warm, and interesting. This fragrance for me is quite a unique one from the get-go. Right from the start, you can smell the sesame note, which gives this nutty creamy scent. However, the nuttiness isn't particularly long-lasting. Then it tones down slightly and reminds me of a nutty ice cream; which is pleasant for sure. The honey takes over with the vetiver, and the nuttiness subsides. I feel this perfume isn't the most projects, but that's understandable being an Extrait de parfum. It's a fairly nice close encounter scent. 3.5/5 Wish it projected a bit more and the nuttiness lasted longer.

I’m a gourmand lover in moderation and the Embrace is strictly speaking a little past moderate, but it is so delicious and seductive and sweet in a nibbly sort of way. Starts out super nutty and gets balanced out with some sweet citruses over time. At first I was convinced there was tonka bean in there but the richness is more understated and in the direction of almonds, darkened by coffee. Not very long lasting, barely 3 hours of decent silage. But how comforting while it lasts!

I like the opening more than the dry down but it’s still a nice find. I wished it stayed a bit sweeter. The Vetiver leans a little synthetic. Almost like dental office smell. But not quite there. EDIT: I don’t know what happened with that first sample spray but I wore over night and this stuff stayed beautifully toasted and sweet. Like caramelized sesame seeds, kind of salted brown sugar vibes. Not overtly knock u out sweet but definitely for gourmand lovers.

I was lucky to be able to receve a sample of this one, becouse unfortunately it didn't worked for me. It opens with a sesame note but on me this sesame note is too "dry" and not sweet. After a few minits it start to become honey sweet sesame, this way it start to become juicy sweet! But somehow this fragrance gives me a (different type of) Italica vibe. But I don't like Italica. I hoped it will work for me, becouse it's not Italica, but looks like this one also a no for me. And somehow the finale drydown is a bit soapy on my skin. (Maybe Navitus useing some ingerient which turnes soapy on my skin becouse this also happend with Chocolate Queen. But Venom of Love and Siesta Drive fortunately didn't contains this ingredient, and I love them! :)

In the opening on my skin, this is very rich. It's also heavy and dark in a more feminine way. And it's very sweet and sticky. In the air, it's airy but still quite sweet and alluring. I get a little bit of fruitiness, and a tiny bit of tanginess or maybe a metallicness. I assume that comes from the coffee. It's something that tickles my nose hairs lol. The coffee note is strong, but the honey actually transforms it into a more unique version. Almost like a boozy concoction. It's nice, but very dense in the beginning. Towards the end of its life, it lightens up, but that's when it becomes weak. The performance is not the greatest, but I think it's still nice.

Even before I opened this perfume, it smells exactly like a box of chocolates before you open it. The orange is present, and everyone knows what orange oil smells like, so I don't need to elaborate on that. It's not heavy on the orange oil though, it goes full "let me make you hungry for an opera cake" gourmand. It's not a true sesame note. It's very different to the sesame note in Memo Kedu. Memo kedu is a light sesame note, but quite accurately sesame. This is a heady mix of roasted hazelnuts, chocolate, praline. The two don't layer well at all, Memo Kedu completely overwhelms Navitus. It also has an off-putting tar smell, but luckily this doesn't project. So not 100% safe as a blind buy. I wouldn't call it a scrubber, just a slightly off putting aftertaste....I mean after-smell. This smells very similar to Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy and barley. (Red bottle). I guess poppy seeds and sesame seeds could smell similar. Reviews there describe that scent as also being "cosy" even "cuddly" and a few people have even had the scent turn unpleasant on their skin. JM SP&B is a strong scent in the JM collection, however, Navitus The Embrace is STRONG!!!! JM is mere sparkling water compared to Navitus. And unfortunately, Navitus is also more masculine and more unpleasant on my skin. Which is a shame because I'm female.

Opens with a green, almost bitter sesame note and blooms into an airy, honeyed, cherry-almond-amaretto sweetness, grounded by wood and vetiver. I find the sesame sticks around for a long time but starts moving into the background after the first few minutes. It’s absolutely still present, but just mingling quietly with others instead of shouting its arrival at the front door. Reminds me a little bit of Italica (aside from the sesame) but not as foody (which is where I struggle with Italica). BEAUTIFUL sillage. This is one where if you spray it on a blotter, it will call to you from across the room for days.

Full bottle minus test sprays, full presentation, in brand new condition (bottle, packaging, minus 8 test sprays) for swap, or sale- I can list it on my Mercari for you no problem if you’d feel more confident about the transaction. I almost blind bought this, and I’m happy I didn’t. So delicious in the very immediate opening (5 seconds or less), as I pick up a delicious cherry scent—although cherry is not listed. Within just a few seconds, I get a very present rubber note. Specifically, a rubber that is almost burned, but not quite. This remains for a significant length of time before sweetening up a bit, though that rubber remains on my skin. My skin also eats this fragrance and it doesn’t last on me.

This is such an interesting one. I get so much cacao pod from it; there’s a fruitiness that doesn’t give me any citrus at all; it’s like a very elegant take on a peanut butter jelly sandwich! Nutty and subtle but distinctly fruity. I don’t get the honey note, and I only get coffee if I’m really sniffing for it. Surprisingly fun one! I’d call it a gourmand just because it smells like some food I’m not familiar with: yummy and edible but unknown.

I agree with the comment below me . I haven’t smelled anything similar to this . What I get the most is a nutty honey . So warm and cozy . I don’t know if I want a full bottle yet but I definitely want to keep at least a 10ML travel spray around for the colder months coming up . Edit : 3 days later . I get the most beautiful wafts with this . I need a bottle of this .

I LOVE sesame notes in perfume so I had to try The Embrace. This smells like you just pulled gooey roasted peanut pralines out of the oven and drizzled them with honey. Sometimes middle eastern desserts with sesame taste a little nutty but I would not say this is a true sesame scent. It is a yummy gourmand but I can imagine this becoming quite annoying after a while.

This juice just radiates from the atomizer..I smell it front & center wen opening my cabinet..the sesame accord is what peaked my interest & it didn't disappoint..me likey..yes maybe it's a tad feminine cuz it def has that sweet component..but if u have the balls ur pulling this off np..

This is so delicious!!! I can smell the honey and sesame but it’s not overpowering. The sesame amplifies the almond and lends an almost peanut butter accord. Very rich and decadent. Gourmand af. Sexy though. It’s not your typical baked goods. So glad I have a full bottle

key notes am getting are honey and vanilla ... Potent frag lasts the whole day but remainds me of Montale - Chocolate greedy and dua - chocolate affair in the dry down

Super nutty and sweet with a chalky dry down. Mild projection and 6+ longevity. Savor your best bite of a delicious rich piece of Baklava.
