Vanilla Éclat

I revisited this for the reviews to see if a lot of others have fallen in love and I’m surprised that more people haven’t because I’ve gotten so many new gems and yet Vanilla Eclat is STILL my go to fragrance when I need to feel warm and cozy. It’s like a perfect spiced blanket that’s how it feels.. the rice and buttermilk are stars of the show which like I said before I almost cried I hated it so much at launch.. I regretted the blind purchase but within a week I was like wait a minute and now all this time later I’m absolutely committed to this scent and I have over 50 so for me to say I’m committed to one AND have half the bottle of a 3.4oz gone already.. that should tell everyone how good this is. I’ve been wearing this on summer nights because I can’t wait for fall/winter. This scent is unlike any other it’s truly unique while being absolutely divine. I never thought I’d want to smell like rice and buttermilk because that just sounds wrong but this scent profile is sooooo right!! It’s a hug you want to snuggle deeper in. It’s a forever fragrance and if they ever discontinued it I’m buying 6 bottles immediately just because I need to make sure I have a supply for the rest of my days so I can have my snuggle mood fragrance. It’s just a classy smell good scent like it’s just complex enough while still being so dang ethereal. Vanilla Eclat is an ethereal fall gem it’s one of the best cozy scents you will EVER find. And like all navitus fragrances the performance and potency get better over time. But I want to touch base on what made me comment again.. I don’t know who is voting that Nearly Noon is like this but it’s not!! They both have a potent rice and supporting sandalwood note but that’s entirely where the buck stops. I love Nearly Noon but it’s not on VE’s level.. NN is fig heavy and while cozy it’s sweeter than VE and no shade at all but it feels not as smooth like the notes don’t melt into each other as well as VE. With that being said NN smells fantastic but it absolutely is different it’s in a lane of its own and that fragrance just like VE doesn’t smell like anything else out there. The rice, fig, sandalwood, and creamy sweetness really create a unique scent with good complexity but the opening isn’t as married together as some scents. It takes the dry down for the notes to more so settle and meld together. While VE is a masterful blend that is truly a beautiful and sophisticated work of art. It takes vanilla to a new unique level. It’s perfection and the perfume nest Chris did friggin fantastic. I adore her creative direction/nose when it comes to this. Love love love. Would love even more if they sent me a back up bottle for the free praise I be giving this scent lol.

The dent I have in this fragrance is massive.. I can’t believe it just released a couple months back and I can’t believe I hated it upon first sniff because I’m utterly obsessed now. My nose and my brain didn’t know what to think of smelling rice and buttermilk with some vanilla and cinnamon mixed in. The buttermilk felt off butting and the rice was just weird but even though it smelled like rice pudding something was just not good for me.. fast forward a week later and I’m catching beautiful whiffs as I’m trying to sleep and its vanilla eclat. Somehow the rice has grown on me and the buttermilk has toned down to be a unique side touch while the cinnamon and sandalwood make it both sweet and grounded at the same time. The basmati rice smells like real rice but the fragrance isn’t gourmand and the note is actually good. This scent is cozy. It’s like the warmest hug from someone you find comforting. The vanilla and basmati rice feel like there’s a light dusting of cinnamon overtop of things and just a little drizzle of caramel so the fragrance it perfect. Not in a headache inducing way but in the just perfectly sweetened way. It’s a signature scent if I’m being honest like it’s so special but for those addicting to fragrance like I am I don’t really do signature scent BUT I can say vanilla eclat is currently in my top 3 along with the glorious smoky vanilla dream that is Vanagloria! And of course Long Kiss Goodnight from Chris Collins is the sexy gem that everyone needs. That man knows about sex appeal inside and out that’s for sure.

She is ultra intelligent, articulate, relatable & kind-hearted - a physician who happens to have a passion for perfume. I found a few gems to add to my collection based on her savvy scent reviews. I purchased this fragrance as a “blind buy” & can’t wait to get my hands (nose) on it. The notes sound delicious & I have full faith that it will be a blissful blend of goodness that will work well with the holiday season. The bottle complements the overall feel of the fragrance, too. Grateful Navitus facilitated this “Christian-Christine” collaborative fragrance between perfumer Christian Provenzano & Chris from the Perfume Nest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I received my Vanilla Eclat perfume delivery from Navitus today (12/11/24). The notes that stand out the most to me are the vanilla, RICE, citrus (bergamot w/ a hint of lemon) & pale wood. It's light wearing & unique. This is not a "perfumy" perfume. Simple sophistication. It's a niche fragrance with natural, realistic aromas that can be equally admired by a beginner or more advanced fragrance aficionado. The bottle is ultra elegant. I'm intrigued.

one of my most successful blind buys this year, i absolutely love this fragrance. i honestly bought it to let it sit for a couple months until the weather is cooler, but i couldn't stop myself from wearing it right away. vanilla eclat smells like a lemon meringue tart on my skin initially-- not in a photorealistic gourmand type of way, it's neither dense nor cloying and still smells "perfumey". in the deep dry down, the citrus has faded, the cinnamon and vanilla start to come out, and the sandalwood adds a creaminess that overall changes the fragrance to rice pudding (still, without being too sweet or heavy). it's a comforting and beautiful scent that i can't wait to wear more often later in the year. my complaint however, as i had with tempt me not when i first purchased it (i'll revisit her when the weather cools down also), is that it's currently a very poor performer. i really have to overspray to get a scent bubble going, which i'd rather not have to do. hopefully by the time it's cooler out, the performance will have improved.

I’m a Navitus brand hater, but I did cave and blind buy this. It’s so beautiful! The opening was coconutty-caramel, almost more ‘designer’ that reminded me of something I can’t place. On paper, it oddly reminds me of Ylang in Gold. But the dry down is a pretty vanilla sandalwood with some rice in there. It stays on the fresher, lighter side of gourmand but it might get stronger as it macerates. I think this would be a great year round perfume and almost think I would like it more in the summer. I think this is a perfect unisex fragrance too. Super happy with this! Edit: it has definitely gotten stronger and more gourmond over the last couple of months! I notice more of the sweetness without it being a straight-up sugary vanilla. It lasts so long on my skin. I still don't really get a ton of sandalwood, just a woody vanilla vibe with rice and caramel popcorn in the background (which sounds weird, but it's great!) I've put a huge dent in the bottle and wear it probably 4 days a week, at least in the evening

There is something so classy, rich, and feminine about this fragrance. The fragrance is very light and has a slight hint of rice to it. This was part of the Discovery sample set I purchased from Navitus. Among all the scents in this particular set, this is my favorite. In honor of Christmas, I will purchase a larger bottle for myself as a gift to myself. The scent is not overpowering, but it will sneak up on you and you will keep catching whiffs of it. With this perfume, I can imagine myself wearing all white to a holiday brunch or outing for lunch during the winter season. I believe this could also be worn in the fall and spring.

“ *Not Just Another* Vanilla” Eclait... Dammit, this is good! I can’t wait for a full wear tomorrow. I just couldn’t wait and sprayed for bed. It’s the Rice and buttermilk with an overarching Spicy Cinnamon vanilla that makes it different. The way people wrote off the rice note as weird and the buttermilk as sour should be pleasantly surprised. It smells like something I should pour in the spiked eggnog or add to a caramel latte to make it even better in an unrealized way you can’t really explain except it’s gone from really good, to *chef’s kiss* while not being just another purely sweet foodie gourmand.

This was a blind buy. This perfume is so delicious!! But it's super unique!! I finally found a rice perfume for my collection. I tried One Day by Taipei, and it was horrendous imo. This was the type of rice I was looking for... well blended! The coconut, buttermilk, rice, and sandalwood, with hints of vanilla throughout is a masterpiece!! All the notes are so good together. Chris from the 'perfume nest' knocked it out of the park with her direction. This is a good winter cozy scent (staying at home and reading a good book feeling).

I initially bought this as a sample and fell in love immediately, it’s cosy, comforting and angelic to my nose. The opening is like a boujee rice pudding and it’s intoxicating. The dry down for me is where the real magic happens though, the sandalwood is so beautifully blended with the vanilla notes which almost has a fresh vanilla cake air about it, not sickly at all. My only gripe is the moderate longevity, for an Extrait I feel like it should last longer, otherwise I really rate this one highly

Let me begin by saying I really do like this fragrance, it's just not exactly what I expected. The rice and vanilla notes fade quickly on me, drying to a primarily sandalwood fragrance. It is lovely yet totally unisex in my opinion, and could be worn on any occasion. It will be interesting to see how the vanilla develops over time. Perhaps next year it will more closely resemble its name 'Vanilla Eclat,' but right now I'd call it 'Sandalwood Eclat.'

I love this fragrance so much! It was a blind buy after watching Christine’s YouTube channel. The opening is rice and the dry down is woody. It is a very warm and cozy scent, and I have never experienced another fragrance with the same notes as this one. The rice note is remarkable, and not overly sweet. I purchased two more bottles immediately after receiving the first one. I will never be without this fragrance.

It's delicious and warm, comforting, and non-offensive to the nose. It blends very well and I never reapply. However... It lasts FOREVER! I adore this scent but it's been on me for 3 days now and I can still smell it clearly when I smell my arm. Thankfully it doesn't mess up other fragrances I spray on top, but I fear I may just smell like this forever LOL

This is STUNNING! Chris and I have similar taste, for the most part. I bought a 10 mil sample from ScentsAngel and I could not believe the love at first sniff. It's beautifully blended wiith subtle spice, creamy, comforting and classy. I cannot afford a big bottle of an Navitus perfume so when this 10 mil is gone, I'll get another. Good job, Chris!

This is truly lovely! It's so cozy and comforting while still feeling elegant! The rice, vanilla and sandalwood stand out the most to me. The bergamot in the opening is fleeting but adds a freshness which really lifts this fragrance. I'm not a huge gourmand girl but I can see how people like me and gourmand lovers alike would enjoy this beauty!

Just smelled this for the first time in Neimans.. genuinely one of the best first impressions I’ve ever had of ANY TYPE OF SMELL EVERRRRR. Full stop. Like I’m fucking speechless right now. Will go more in depth when I’m able to test it out more but wowwwwww. Absolutely beautiful

I wasn’t sure about this when I first got it, but I absolutely adore it now. It is so cozy and warm. I get the sandalwood, the vanilla, the rice, the spices...it’s a bit reminiscent of rice pudding. Soft projection, decent longevity.

This perfume is like a warm sandalwood, vanilla-rice hug. I got it about a week ago and wore it to a holiday party and it was quite nice with several compliments. Creamy. My first Navitus and I am quite happy.

I can't wait to try this, Chris from the Perfume Nest is so classy and has amazing taste in perfume so I know this will be a masterpiece!

Navitus Vanilla Éclat – The HR-Approved Hug in a Bottle I fell shamelessly in love with Blanche Bete, wanted to wear it all year round, even in the summer, so I was looking for something similar, a scent that won't offend anyone, but will still allow me to feel it. Enter, Vanilla Éclat – The opening? A gentle whiff of popcorn – buttery, a little salty, and somehow still inoffensive. Then comes a subtle hint of coconut, not the tropical sunscreen kind, but more like the kind popping on a stove top. And yes, there’s vanilla – creamy, soft, and mild. There’s even a whisper of something lactonic, but so faint. This scent doesn't scream; it gently suggests. Vanilla Éclat smells nothing like Blanche Bete, but it definitely gets compliments. In summary: If your goal is to smell like a well-behaved snack while avoiding HR complaints, Vanilla Éclat is your new cubicle companion. and it does have better than average lasting power, partly because it qualifies as a gourmand. Initially I was put off by the smell of salty popcorn, and was going to sell it in my Mercari, but after two weeks of testing this, I am so glad I kept it. It grew on me, got me many compliments and there are times when I feel addicted. I now see it as a "sophisticated vanilla" , a grown woman's vanilla without the sugary sweetness. Perfumes smell totally different when the weather changes. And now that the temps have gone up and it is humid outside, it smells less like salty popcorn- it is now more mild like like fluffy rice and milk. I'm slowly falling in love, but if you are on the fence, you might want to test this a few times before buying, and definitely test it at different levels of heat and humidity.

Vanilla Eclat opens with buttered popcorn and powdery steamed rice along with candied bergamot. I LOVE the opening. It's the only time the scent has any sweetness, which I really like. I'm not sure where the buttered popcorn smell is coming from, I'm guessing the basmati rice mixed with the buttermilk. The bergamot is slightly sweetened, but at times it smells almost aldehydic because of the combination of citrus with powdery notes. Makes me think of the citrus+aldehyde+powder combination of Chanel No. 5 L'eau. Although not listed as a note, I'm picking up something animalic, which smells a lot like castoreum. The animalic smell was a surprise and totally unexpected. The mid and dry down stages are very powdery and woody, but more powdery than anything else. I get some vanilla, but I wish there was a lot more. I find the name to be a bit misleading - I think "Poudre Eclat" or "Santal Eclat" would have been better names because of how powdery and woody it is. It's not vanilla forward and not very gourmand, which is what I was expecting and hoping for. Instead, it's very woody and powdery with a castoreum-like animalic undertone and leans mature. Very classy and sophisticated and smells like something Chanel would release in its Exclusifs line (I mean that as a compliment). I really wish the scent that I smell in the opening is what the fragrance continued to smell like. Unfortunately, that delicious and sweet opening lasts 2 minutes and then the scent goes woody and powdery. I still like it, but I would have loved it if the opening smell is what the scent smelled like the entire wear.

Initial Impression: I blind-bought this perfume, trusting Chris’s expertise. On first spray, it opened with steamed rice and a hint of bergamot, but within 20 minutes, it faded almost entirely. I was left disappointed and wondering if I had a faulty batch or if it needed time to macerate. At that point, I regretted the purchase. A Week In: After letting it settle for a week, the fragrance has transformed. The rice and bergamot now remind me of ice cream wafer cones—sweet and delicate. As it dries down, a creamy sandalwood emerges with a touch of sweetness and a faint, slightly animalic hint, possibly guaiac wood. It’s far more balanced and enjoyable now. Final Thoughts: This has been a lesson in patience and now I understand that freshly batched perfumes can require time, and this one seems to reward it. I’ll share another update in 2 to 4 weeks, but for now, I’m cautiously optimistic about its continued evolution. It’s clear my initial judgment was premature. This perfume benefits greatly from time to develop, and even in just one week, it’s improved significantly, so please be patient.

If you are looking for a bit of a twist on the standard milky lactonic scent profile, this might just be it. yes, it's lactonic and milky, but I think perhaps the rice and the buttermilk notes add to the savory slightly salty scent. Not blind buy safe though - 1. It's not just a pure sweet vanilla, so don't let the name deceive you. It's actually not very sweet at all. 2. For those that sometimes think certain lactonic scents smell like spoiled milk, this one might hit your nose in the same way. 3. For those not a fan of coconut scents, this one also might not be for you. It's not super coconut forward but just enough to be annoying for those that dislike it. 4. Fragrantica notes list spices but I'm not picking up on anything spicy here. It might sounds like I dislike this one, but I do like it - but wanted to make people aware of some aspects they might not like about this one.

This is a beautifup rice scent , i have loved everything ive tried from navitus , this one is beautiful and creamy and projects wonderful . On initial spray i do pick up a bit of saltiness ,im guessing from the buttercream , it fades within 5 minutes and thecreaminess takes over it dries to a beautiful sandlewood vanilla with a added creamy rice note its really beautifuli cant wait to get my hands on more from this brand . So far ive tried 4 and all 4 have been winners for me .

I had the chance to smell this at the Scentxplore convention and sprayed it on my skin, so consider this more of a first impression than a full review. Without checking the notes beforehand, my initial take was that it smelled like a luxurious Mexican vanilla bean ice cream served in a freshly made, still-warm wafer cone—truly enjoyed it! Now that I’ve seen the official notes, I can definitely see how they align with my initial impression.

If you don't like pungency this won't be for you. I cant wear it on myself but on others it smells good. It's like a warm spicy blanket, only for winter I'd say. There is a vintage aspect to this perfume as well. I think they did a good job on this one and I know some people will really resonate with it. I just can't personally wear pungent things, but I'd happily experience it on someone else.

this is lovely. i really like chris and when she said it had rice and coconut notes, i had to jump on the pre-order. as she described, it's comforting and warm -- not too sweet but with just enough spice to make it interesting. as a fan of d'annam white rice, i feel that this fragrance is similar, but not so similar that i'm disappointed to have both. i am very happy with my purchase!

Huge fan! It smells like a creamy vanilla rice pudding and dries down into sweet woods. Unlike other reviewers, I do think that the vanilla is quite prominent. Addictive scent. Updated to add: This lasts moderately on my skin, but it lasts FOREVER on my clothes. Must be a skin chemistry thing.

This is so beautiful! It's so buttery and beautifully sweet. It has gorgeous caramel and rice notes. It's a very beautiful and very intense vanilla (just like Duelle by Diptyque). Longevity was high for me and this perfume lasted a long time.

Waiting for mine to arrive too. Somewhat I imagine this fragrance as sophisticated and classy in a way Chris is, hoping foe Dama Bianca style perfume( not a dupe). Will edit the review after delivered.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. Vanilla Eclair opens with a creamy vanilla and an icy cold lemon sorbet in the opening. The lemon is almost like a candied lemon peel to me. It throws me off because I feel it doesn’t quite go together. Im eating lovely winter warm, cosy, creamy rice pudding with a glass of summery homemade lemonade. I really like the lemon note, but find it confusing with the rest of the scent. It does fade into the background, and the scent evolves into a vanilla rice pudding, but the coconut, cinnamon and spices are super faint to me. I find the scent overall quite weak. I wish the notes (minus the lemon) were much stronger. This is nice, I do like it, but not sure if it’s full bottle worthy yet. For me, the best fragrance in this category has to be Casaniche “Me Quiero Cesar”. If you have the chance to try this, it is absolutely divine! It’s what I was desperately hoping this would be, since Casaniche is completely inaccessible if you live in the UK. I will put my sample of Vanilla Eclait away for a few months and revisit it. Maybe it will get stronger over time.

I’m not sure why, but I’ve always avoided perfumes with a rice note. This composition does indeed open with an accord of cooked rice, which fades very quickly. The rice is accompanied by a touch of acidity, I’m not certain whether it’s bergamot or perhaps buttermilk. After a while, the scent becomes sweeter, with notes of caramel, a buttery accord and vanilla. It is sweet, but not gourmand. The base is a very pleasant combination of woody notes and vanilla. The fragrance is pretty, but it doesn’t quite convince me. Longevity on my skin is also disappointing, after two hours I can only smell it on my jumper, and the projection stays close to the skin.

Meh!! Take it or leave it.This is quite uninspired , and I'm unimpressed! There’s an underlying starchy, rice-paper quality throughout that gives the scent a slightly pasty impression, making it cozy yet oddly flat. Talk about flat...This fragrance has little to no sillage.You're barely smelling anything after 10 minutes. It's a nose to skin scent after 20 minutes. Very disappointing , as this is advertised as a niche fragrance!!! While undeniably smooth and wearable, Vanilla Éclat lacks dimension and intrigue....not particularly captivating or memorable.Pleasant enough for comfort, but unlikely to leave a lasting impression.

I watched the YouTuber video on this release where she claimed buttermilk is a sweet note. 🤣 A little confused whether she has actually smelled, let alone drank/tasted buttermilk, because not only is buttermilk NOT sweet, it is actually quite bitter and lactonic. Then a following video, her daughter is guided, prompted, and tends to parrot her wording, what a wonderful non biased add in to promote this fragrance. 🤣 🤣 Please someone add a real, non biased review. Because so far, sounds plain, yawn, done before vanilla with spices scent.

This is really pretty. It opens like a creamy sandalwood with less vanilla than warm woods. I compared it alongside Sandal Rice on the other arm and I couldn't smell the Vanilla Eclat after 10 minutes compared to the other arm. Not sure if this fragrance just died off, or if the Sandal Rice simply overpowered its presence, but Poof! gone. I wanted to love it, and in theory it should be wonderful, but I would really want to smell it for more than just 10 minutes.

Beautiful perfume. I like to wear it on one arm and Blanche Bête on the other. I gotta say, I've sprayed it on the one arm probably seven times.... and it just does not last. Blanche Bête I only had to spray two- three times and it has lingered. Vanilla Eclat is a lovely scent and I will continue to wear it, but I would say it's not a good performer.

This reminds me of a woody version of Replica Afternoon Delight and/or Xerjoff Allende. I would try before you buy - like the ones I mentioned, this too can be a polar fragrance. Rated: Sugar, spice and everything rice. :)

Starts of with a beautiful savoury note similar to Basmati Santal by affinessence. This is then followed by soft woody sweeteness. Close to skin scent and vanishes really quickly. IG/Tiktok: @wilddew_vibes

This is not it for me, just smells like iris?? Not sure where that's pulling from. Maybe the sandalwood(but i cant imagine how.) Super powdery and mature. definitely not for women in their 20s or even 30s. scrubbing. 6 hrs later edit- after scrubbing, it still remained but the dry down is much more interesting than the initial projection. Too bad you have to brace for the headache before the good.

This is a beautiful scent, but the longevity on me is 20-30 minutes and then it's an almost completely undetectable skin scent. I keep spraying more and more in hopes it will linger longer but it doesn't. At this rate, the bottle will be empty within a few weeks.

I love to watch Chris but I’ve come to the conclusion that we have different tastes in perfumes . What I get from this is powdery buttermilk. Very old-lady. It’s a no for me .

I’m against blind buying but being an avid watcher of Chris’ (Perfume Nest) videos for the past few years I trusted her collaboration with Christian Provenzano had produced an amazing product. Many of her recommendations have resonated with me, because she’s incredibly articulate, passionate, & knowledgeable about fragrances. That being said, I’m eager to share my unbiased opinion. Initial blast on skin after receiving was heavy sandalwood & cinnamon with no other discernible notes. Dry down was a pleasant vanilla/sandalwood. I admit I was impatient to smell it before it had time to rest after shipping, so I resolved to leave it alone & try again in a few days. When I resprayed I discovered the opening notes were better balanced. I can now smell the citrus, coconut, & rice mixed with cinnamon. The caramel emerged several minutes later along with the sandalwood. I can’t smell the buttermilk, but I’m sure that in addition to the rice is what makes this scent so creamy. Dry down is a phenomenal mixture of vanilla, sandalwood & spices. This isn’t a heavy gourmand which is fine with me. Thankfully, It didn’t turn sour with my body chemistry. I sprayed it once on my arm to test longevity which was about 6 hours before it turned into a skin scent. I’m a heavy sprayer so it will probably last all day on me. Sillage is decent but not an overpowering beast. Overall, a great year round fragrance & wonderful addition to my collection! The bottle is beautiful & well crafted!

Just received today, funny how my experience is so different than some others who have already weighed in. If I was sniffing this not knowing any of the notes, I would get rice lightly sweetened to keep it from being savory, a dash of cinnamon, and a dry sandalwood. The sandalwood is so dry on my skin that's it's almost like pencil shavings. Almost ambroxan like effect. Strikes me as very unisex. 0 caramel, coconut, or lactonic nuances which is fine with me, because those are my top 3 notes that are awful on my skin. Instead this fits that "your skin but better" vibe with a gourmand lean. Shocking how simple and linear this is on me given the long list of notes. Def an understated elegance type of scent. The white bottle suites the aesthetic well. This also seems like the type of scent the wearer goes anosmic to but others pick up on when close. My mother has a cold but complimented me when I hugged her. It's a strong like. The only scent I like on myself from navitus so far. But I wonder if it'll get more "thick" and lactonic for me as this ages. This is what I expected glossier you Doux to smell like. Reminiscent of 7 virtues amber vanilla.

It's definitely woody, that's the main character of this perfume imo. At first I wasn't liking it, I gave it a try a few days and it just wasn't blending in my nose and head, like I didn't find much sense. After a month (today) I finally used it instead of just smelling it on my hand. I went out and I had the best day with this perfume so I went straight to make this review. It's divine! Woody for sure, but very sweet and buttery. It's definitely perfumey, not a straight gourmand at all, but it finally clicked for me. It's also a bit citrusy, but honestly just a bit. I also find it classy. I'm still not 100% into it, but I think I will be. What I like the most is that it's different than all my gourmand perfumes that are always cookie, cakey, vanilla extract, edible. This is not that and I like it. However something I didn't like is that it feels a bit unisex. I wish it was more feminine

Despite the influencer marketing, I thought I would give this a try. Getting it was a faff, the customer service is pretty bad. It turnes up slung in a box with polystyrene chips-very bougie. The scent is VERY rice forward but it lacks the warm fluffy sublety of affinessence. It is quite brash and scratchy, almost like doritos. The vanilla isn't natural and rounded smelling but isnt BBW either. I get some white florals in the dry down . Longevity was reasonable, as was sillage. It would layer well with other things,if youre really into the rice note For me it is very mid and certainly not worth the premium pice tag. Im fascinated by their business model. There is obviously a tonne of money behind the brand as they have used top perfumers, but the execution seems really cheap on all fronts, even the customer service. The trustpilot score is pretty low

I have worn this everyday for a little over a week. The first few sprays all I got was bergamot with a hint of rice. It has transformed since then. Now it really smells so amazing to me. I love the buttermilk notes and the spices. My favorite is the Basmati Rice. I wish I could just have more rice. Even still, this fragrance is SOOOO beautiful. I've basically been spraying it a couple times a day to resmell the rice and buttermilk note. It's so amazing! I feel like my heart wants more rice but I can only get that by reapplying. So this just may be a fragrance that I put a big dent in quickly. I cannot wait to give it more time to transform and also to wear in different climate. It's so unique I've never smelled anything like this before. Chris did an amazing job. It's addictive for sure

Got a decant of this recently and I think it’s beautiful! Despite it having vanilla in the name, I find that vanilla isn’t really of the star of this and I’m okay with that. The opening is all about the rice with a hint of the bergamot. The coconut doesn’t really contribute its scent, but it does a lend a creamy/milky texture to the rice. It evolves a bit in the mid and the sandalwood comes into play alongside the rice. It’s not until the drydown that I even smell the beautiful vanilla hiding underneath. All in all, it’s a beautiful scent and I don’t have anything quite like it in my collection. Creamy rice pudding poured over sandalwood with a hint of vanilla at the tail end. This is really lovely and I do hope to add a bottle to my collection at some point.

My first Navitus purchase, mainly because I had full faith Chris from The Perfume Nest would get it right because I Love her fragrance taste. She did not fail me. I truly didnt know what to expect, I am glad it isnt a full blown gourmand. I am honestly so over the gourmand era at this point. This a perfect balance of a dreamy creamy, elegant, warm mixture of sandalwood and vanilla and cinnamon, that is what I personally pick up. Could be because I am still not sure what the note of rice smells like. But I love this! Unlike many reviewers on youtube, I PERSONALLY do smell that buttermilk note, it does provide a tiny tingeee of a sour nuance, but I love it. It works well. Very happy with my purchase! Elegant and creamy!

Disclaimer, I like Chris and her YT channel! Vanilla Eclat is not for me though. If like me, you are sensitive to whatever the aroma chemical is that's taken over modern perfumery in the last 5 years..... the one in Gentle fluidity gold, Burberry Goddess intense, Jasmine Freak and Hibiscus Mahajád to name just a few, the one that smells like tarmac, this perfume isn't for you! I wonder if it's ambrofix or similar.... one day I might find out but until then, it's just going to continue to be a very unpleasant surprise :(

I'm waiting for mine to arrive. After watching her videos for sometimes, I always love her recommendations for, Lactonic, Rice, and Coconut fragrances so to combine all of these, I'm so excited for mine to arrive. I'm not big on sweet vanilla or cinnamon, but I'm willing to try. I see the buttermilk comments below and I'm actually looking forward to it. I do love, rice, Lactonic, coconut fragrances. I'll be back once mine arrives.
