Venom of Love

This is my first Navitus fragrance from this house. When Paulina Schar first announced that she has teamed up with the house of Navitus and the perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur, I was over the moon. I knew that whatever fragrance that she had worked diligently on was going to be a masterpiece. I and Paulina Schar love the same notes composition to a fragrance. Anyways, let me tell you my experience with this fragrance. This perfume definitely works best in the fall and winter months and it's definitely for females (because it is sweet) but I can see a man using it in my opinion 😌. The first initial spray you will definitely get cherry 🍒 with a boozy chocolate 🍫 almond note that cloaks you like skin. Next you will smell an incense like note , maybe the Turkish Rose Absolue mixed with amberwood (oud) which is does not smell like a barnyard, which last for a good 10 to 15 minutes on the skin. Then afterwards the fragrance transform again and you will get this whipped cream vanilla and jasmine notes that will make you smell like a heavenly snack. This perfume is definitely not linear you guys. What I mean about this perfume not being linear........ Is that it does change once it hits your skin chemistry and your body heats melds together with the perfume. It goes through different stages upon the first initial spray and continues to change. This perfume last 6 to 7 hours on skin with (3) sprays on my pulse point on my body. The reason it lasted that long on my skin is due to me moisturizing my body(after I shower) and I do use Vaseline on my body. On my clothes with (5) sprays it last 12 plus hours. So, I am a heavy sprayer which I try to space out my sprays apart. The first initial (3) spray is once I'm done showering and adding my moisturizer and my last (5) sprays will be when I have my clothes on then I go in heavy. My total spray count is (8) at above average. I like to pair my Rasasi LaYuqawam Jasmine Wisp perfume to my Navitus Venom Of Love perfume to amplify the Jasmine and Amber note that they both have.....heck both Rasasi LaYuqawam Jasmine Wisp and Navitus Venom Of Love perfume are a bit similar yet different and they both can hold their own. However, I love layering my fragrances to see what interesting combination that I can concoct.Now here is my rating on the fragrance below: Longevity- 10/10 Sillage - 10/10 (Fills the room) Seasons - Fall/Winter Price - 10/10 (Good Value) at $145.00

I’ve been on the hunt for the most perfect Cherry Fragrance and I think I have just found the one😍 This smells like a boozy, sweet and syrupy dark cherry compote drizzled with some melted dark chocolate! In saying so, this actually smells exactly like a black forest cake!!! 🍒🍫🎂The syrupy boozy cherries and chocolate and whipped cream all give it a black forest cake vibe. It’s so delicious and edible! Also this isn’t a light cherry scent. It’s very luxurious and rich. I personally don’t find it too similar to Lost Cherry or to Kayali lovefest. Although I love the other two, they are more of a sparkling cherry scent. This is a dark and rich black cherry. And the chocolate gives it more of a gourmand dessert vibe rather than a fruity gourmand. Once it starts to dry down, you will begin to get the tiniest hint of creamy jasmine and you can definitely smell the amberwood. I think the combination of these notes gives it a slight middle eastern spark to it, which I personally adore! But if you are not into middle eastern scents don’t be afraid because it’s not your typical middle eastern scent but it has that slight feel to it in the background. Again veryyy slight. Also, this is SO long lasting and it projects amazingly on my skin. I only need a few sprays and I can smell it the entire day. I’m so inlove with this fragrance and if you love cherry fragrances you need to get your nose on this I guarantee it will be your new love!

WOW this is heavenly. I am comparing this to one of my top 3 perfumes, Gritti Duchessa. They are incredibly similar (about 90%) but do share some slight differences. Duchessa is a bit "darker" - leans heavy on dark cherry & saffron. Venom of Love is a bit sweeter and has a stronger chocolate note swirling throughout. First spray of Venom of Love....sour cherry & heavy almond. I dont really get any booziness. Starts to turn into a hot cocoa scent - strong powdery chocolate, whipped cream and almond. The dry down of Duchessa and Venom of Love is almost identical. Venom has the jasmine which keeps this a little lighter. Duchessa leans heavily on the saffron which is darker. Venom of Love is a more sour cherry where Duchessa is black cherry. I am stunned by this fragrance - it is so good!!! For the price point, I would opt for Venom of Love. They are too similar to own both. However Duchessa wins best bottle - I LOVE that black velvet & gold. The major difference here for me is the chocolate note - I dont pick up much with Duchessa, but with Venom of Love its there in the top & middle notes (its very reminiscent of hot cocoa to me). The almond is much stronger with Venom of Love (its a top note vs Duchessa's its a base note)

This is just ... WOW! This isn’t like Tom Ford Lost Cherry (which I have) it’s SO MUCH BETTER! It does have a similar vibe to Tom Ford, definitely the closest I’ve found, but Lost Cherry is a sour maraschino cherry with almond. Venom of Love is a sweet, juicy, black cherry dipped in chocolate. It’s an absolutely delicious, black forrest gateaux! My favourite dessert! Although there’s almond in this, I don’t smell it. This would be perfect for cool/cold weather or a date night. It’s fierce, sexy and delicious! It’s quite strong, so go easy, but it lasts. This is everything I wanted in a cherry perfume! I’ve tried many cherry scents (Bodacious, Wet Cherry, BDK Rouge Smoking, Mancera Cherry Cherry, Tonka Cola, to name a few) ... but this absolutely wins first place for me! It’s addictive! I can’t get enough! Drown me in it! 😂🥰🍒 I wish I’d known about this one and tried it first, before buying Tom Ford Lost Cherry. I still like that one, but it has been well overshadowed by this! Tom Ford is so way overpriced and now I’ve found this, I won’t buy TF again! This to me is way more superior in every way, much longer lasting and 1/3 of the price. A new favourite! I blind bought this and I’m so glad I did! ITS AMAZING! 10/10!

Let me start off by saying that in my opinion this is not a dupe for Lost Cherry, which you can probably already tell by the notes. (Don't come for me please, lol). However, if you enjoy LC, chances are you'll like this too. Definitely sample if you can. This fragrance reminds of cherry liqueur chocolates in the best possible way. There is an airiness about it that keeps the fragrance from feeling to overwhelming and heavy. In the beginning I feel the alcoholic touch of the cognac along with sweet and sour cherries. Not quite as sour as Lost Cherry. The touches of jasmine and rose in the heart turn this into more of a perfume rather than a straight up food smell. I love the vanillic woody base with that delicious almond note. It's right up my alley. I've had a bottle of this for +/- 10 months at this point. I love it, it got smoother and stronger over time, but even in the beginning it already lasted 6-7 hours on me. Now it's more around 8-10 and pretty strong sillage for the first 2 hours. Is the cherry overused at this point? Yes, definitely. But I find this different enough from other cherry fragrances to have it in my collection. And because I'm a sucker for cherry chocolates :)

I eagerly anticipated the arrival of Paris Corner-Daniel Rene "Midnight Sin" and willingly wore the perfume for several days. I find Midnight Sin quite disappointing & frustrating because despite being absolutely lovely, the perfume's performance is abysmal on my skin. I located Navitus Perfume "Venom of Love" as a viable alternative to Midnight Sin. Venom of Love is beautiful gorgeous! I love the perfume! Ironically, Venom of Love lacks Midnight Sin's complex opening. However Venom of Love unfolds with a gorgeous, very boozy, cherry-chocolate cordial accord that is nothing short of intoxicating. The emergence of bitter almond and a gorgeous floral accord add depth and complexity to the fragrance. The dry-down is other-worldly with continued floral notes that effortlessly blend with cherry liquor, a hint of chocolate, LOADS of bitter almond (love), amber and vanilla. I'm unsure yet about the perfume's performance. Some days it wears well; other days it seems to wane. Regardless, Venom of Love is a complete obsession. I love the fragrance! Love love love it! Happy!

Omg! Yum, yum, and YUM. So, this was a blind buy and my first impression’s of this fragrance. Every Christmas as a child I would ask for those cherry chocolate candies with the kind of boozy liquid (not the cheap ones with the white stuff) inside. This smells exactly like those. Idk about the performance yet because I just put this on but let me tell you this is delicious. I’m in absolute love. It’s cherry, chocolate, boozy, woody and unique. Let’s talk about performance though. Sometimes I’m convinced a fragrance has terrible performance but it’s really just that “I” can’t smell it anymore and other people can. But, sometimes it does have bad performance when I can’t smell and neither can anyone else. So, how do you tell? You have to ask people. 5 hours in ask a few people but not people you’ve been around for 5 hours because they may have gone nose blind in that time too. Idk we’ll see. But, this fragrance is absolutely gorgeous so far ((1hour)).

This right here is everything and then some!!! I am a cherry lover in fragrance so my expectations were high and this did not disappoint! It opens up smelling exactly like TF Lost Cherry, but then the chocolate comes in and adds some more depth to the boozy cherry. Then there’s a slight creaminess in the dry down that is so intoxicating 😩. It’s like eating a bowl of vanilla ice cream that’s topped with cherries and a drizzle of chocolate syrup. This will be replacing Lost Cherry for me. Once I run out, I won’t be repurchasing. Although I love it, Lost Cherry does not perform well, I get 3-4 hours max with spraying 10-12 times, it’s absurd considering the price! Venom of Love projects and lasts for hours. Plus it’s only $145 dollars, like I’m too hype about this fragrance! Paulina really has a banger on her hands with this one!

So good!!! I am new to Navitus perfumes and recently purchased chocolate queen. I was so impressed that fragrance that I decided to give venom of love a try and I am equally impressed! I am reading the reviews saying the cherry opening doesn’t last and there is no sillage, but I have a completely different experience. I sprayed just a few small spritzes minutes after the bottle arrived at my home and it literally lasted all day. I get a rich cherry the entire time (which I love). I think this perfume is definitely superior to lost cherry. I also got compliments from three family members (including my husband who never compliments my perfumes lol) and also received a compliment with a heavy coat on so it clearly projects! If you like cherry fragrances and like lost cherry, I think you’ll LOVE this.

Good, good, good! I think that this is the chocolate, fruity and boozy fragrance that I’ve been looking for! I initially thought it was Dulce Diablo to fit that need, but it became too cloying to my nose, so I tried similar frags to it and still found them all too sweet to my liking.... But this, this Venom of Love is perfectly sweet, boozy and chocolatey, I will continue to visit my sample to make sure that my skin and nose continues to love it like it does right now :) Edit: After a few wears, I find this to only be suitable on a VERY cold day. It does pull too sweet on my skin to my nose... bummer... for those that it works for, you are so lucky, as I find it to really last and project. I am going to save the rest of my sample for next winter, to see if I change my mind ;)

Love this! Truly smells like a dark-chocolate covered cherry in the opening. The chocolate subsides quite a bit in the first 30 minutes, but the cherry notes lasts and is smooth and bright. Still smell it on myself 7 hours later, though more skin scent by hour 4, while keeping strong on clothes through the whole day. I tried this and Duchessa at the same time (one on each arm). Loved Duchessa, too, but chose this for the chocolate note in the beginning. On me, had similar longevity and sillage to Duchessa, though slightly darker. Not chemically smelling and doesn’t resemble bathroom fresheners (specifically urinal cubes) like some cherry scents do. Love it, well worth the investment. Makes me happy. BTW- I’ve worn it to work. No complaints!

One of my favorite cherry scented fragrances. At initial spray you think of Lost Cherry but doing a side by side, it definitely does not smell like it. The only similarity is the cherry note. That being said, every time I wear it, I always get compliments. Normally I need to moisturize/oil my skin for any scent to last long on me but not with VOL. I literally can spray 3/5 spritz and it’ll last on my skin a good 7-8 hours. When I do moisturize, I get a full 10 hours! For that longevity I absolutely think the price I purchased it for ($120.) - plus it’s a niche fragrance - it is well worth it. Cost less than a designer fragrance. Paulina - you did great babe!!

This is an intense and sensual fragrance, like a gaze that lingers a second too long and stays in your memory all night. The opening reveals juicy cherries, a rich, sweet liqueur and almond. The sweetness is far from innocent, it’s tempting, like the warmth of skin and the tension just before a touch. After a while, velvety, slightly bitter chocolate emerges, softened by subtle floral nuances. An amber vanilla base wraps the skin like a soft shadow, carrying both promise and risk in the same gesture. There is something undeniably alluring in the way it balances sweetness with depth. Longevity is around eight hours, with a clearly noticeable projection.

Glad to finally see this on fragrantica. I was skeptical about this one-- part of me was drawn to the notes but part of me thought the rave reviews were an exaggeration and maybe a bit biased. I am so glad to say that this is beautiful. The opening very clearly has chocolate and cherry but is thankfully not syrupy. It is deep, smooth, not too sugary. Quickly, on my skin, it becomes much more floral. The rose is the most prominent-- not an airy, fresh rose, but a concentrated jammy rose that is balanced with a resinous woodiness. Projection and lasting power are excellent. This is a wonderfully silky, exotic choice for evening.

this is a beyond stunning blend of juicy, sweet-but-not-too-sweet boozy cherry and an unbelievably accurate dark chocolate with some lingering almonds as a third but still present character, it opens up best than any other fragrance i own and i’ll say it’s the sexiest thing i own, with that said though, i cannot lie to you, like most well-done cherry fragrances the sillage in this disappoints. i’ve got to bathe myself in it for people to notice, so if you’ve got no problem with that then go ahead and get it, if what you’re looking for is a head turner though then this may not be for you. stunning piece of work regardless.

I love this perfume. It is its own DNA. Some reviewers say that it does not last. I almost fell on that trap and did not buy it, but I am glad I did. It is an elegant perfume that lasts all day on the clothes, I will say without a doubt 48 hours or until you wash your clothes. On the skin the longevity is moderate. It is a linear perfume very pleasant and alluring. It works excellent in the winter like every high quality perfume. The sillage is incredible, in my experience the scent takes over the entire room, but not invasive or disgusting very subtle an elegant. It was an excellent blind buy. 10/10

Boozy, delicious cherry chocolate! I broke tradition by blind buying this one. I read the notes & had to have it 😍 I wish projection was a bit stronger, but longevity is good at 6-8 hours. Sometimes I spray it before bed because I love it so much & I crave the smell of it. I actually knew nothing about Navitus Parfums & their “controversial partnerships with influencers“ before I bought it & quite frankly it really doesn’t matter to me because I think this is a beautiful fragrance worthy of praise & attention!

SEXY BOOZY WET JUICY CHERRY... its the boozy note for me! Love this. I would definitely repurchase. This is a fragrance for a grown woman who is not shy at all. OOH this will get you noticed fr fr. After having this for about 6 months now, my love for this fragrance has grownnnnn. I wore this to a carnival and got a compliment right off, and this was after wearing for the entire day..so yea, great longevity

Sexy, syrupy, smokey, boozy cherry chocolates. Must have for gourmand lovers. Perfection for cooler weather. I’m almost 3/4 of the way through my first bottle. Just received my second in the mail. Delectable! This beats Lost Cherry for performance and price point, but, there’s no throw. As much as I’ve worn this, I’ve not received even one compliment.

A beautiful cherry cordial. A semi-sweet chocolate with a boozy, syrupy cherry (NOT to be confused with the smell of cough syrup). Neither are afterthoughts in this fragrance. Literally one of my favorite perfume buys in the last couple of years, so lovely. I'm even sad I noticed this so late into winter.

I got a sample of this and think it smells amazing! The cherry and almond notes stand out the most but I also noticed the chocolate too It def has LC vibes minus the price but I prefer this. FB worthy and if you're a gourmand lover, this is a safe blind buy.

This is sooooo good, I've tried Lost Cherry and Cherry Punk and I thought I loved those but I love this so much more than either of them. Juicy sour cherry, hint of chocolate, I really get the whipped cream and vanilla. Mouth-watering, I want to eat it

I like this perfume a lot For me it's chocolate with almonds in liqueur. It's a bit strong at first but in minutes it gets cozy. The weird part is that I've worn it several times and no one has complimented me, as if they didn't smell it ☹️

A blind buy for me after reading the reviews. IMO is too heavy in liquor ( alcohol) from the beginning until you wash it. Over all I feel the cherry a little synthetic. The dry down is more nice with the vanilla and almonds.

I can't believe it took me so long to get this one - it is gorgeous!! It's an almondy cherry, not medicinal at all. It's sweet and nutty, so delicious! I would repurchase when i finish my bottle. :)

Boozy, Chocolate Cherry. Really great. I don't get the TF Lost Cherry vibes, as this doesn't seem as almond-y to me. Performs well.

Paulina you nailed it girl.....mmmmmm this is sooooooo good. If you are into Gourmands this is a must have for your collection.

Boozy chocolate covered cherries . One of the best cherry fragrances

Honestly, it took me so long to get my hands on this fragrance... but I'm disappointed now that I finally have it. It's not that the scent is not lovely, because it is. The problem is that this is another rendition of Tom Ford Lost Cherry. I understood Paulina said there was a similar type of cherry so I expected and WANTED that, but the similarities are too close for me. Venom of Love is a smoother... dare I say creamier and deeper sister to Lost Cherry, where as the original had a bright sour cherry that settles into the smoothness over time. They are different, but I don't think they are different enough to have both, especially if you consider layering fragrances. The chocolate you get in the beginning is really cool (I hate chocolate by the way) and would make it unique, but that doesn't last for me. Overall, the longevity is better than Lost Cherry... but so is Be Layered Cherry Delight (which is almost a dead ringer... a claim I do not make often). As beautiful as Lost Cherry is, it's not a complex scent profile and that makes it easy to imitate. I expected this to be something soooooo much different. Finally ordered a decant of Boadicea the Victorious Bodacious in the hopes of getting some actual almond. Perhaps I can get rid of all the imitators and get a fragrance of this cherry almond profile I really adore... as cherries are my favorite fruit and almond is one of my favorite notes in fragrance.

Milk chocolate cordial cherries 🍒. If you’ve ever had one, you bite into a chocolate with maraschino cherry inside and a tooth achingly sweet almondy syrup oozes out. You pretty much have VOL. For me, I get a stinging scratchy feeling in the back of my throat when I first spray, is it the amberwood? I don’t get a huge sillage or projection, but I also don’t want to over spray due to the scratchiness which goes away after a few minutes. I do like the fragrance, not sure if it’s my favorite cherry however, as many other fragrances, time will tell. There’s so many cherry scents that I can have one for each season or I can replace many chocolate & cherry fragrances so you only have this. Or mix and match a chocolate fragrance w/ a cherry. Update: a few years later the scratchiness subsided, but it’s still in the background, not sure if it’s the Navitus underlying formula, but I like VOL ok., not a favorite, there’s better cherries, but this has the added chocolate note to make it different. Performance remains moderate to me but I’d prefer it that way.

This does have Tom Ford's Lost Cherry vibes, except with a bitter, dark chocolate edge to it. The chocolate cherry smell is prominent in the initial spray, but minimizes as it dries down, leaving almost a musky/peppery smell that I am not vibing with. Interestingly when it was completely dried down and I no longer could really smell the cherry, I put Sol de Jeneiro Bum Bum body oil on, and then smelled my wrist again and it was like it livened the Venom of Love fragrance back to the initial beginning when I liked it. This was a blind buy and now I'm debating if I should blind buy Chocolate Queen. Overall, it is a nice smell, but does not beat LC. To me LC is day, night, all seasons. Venom of Love is more of a sultry vibe more for colder seasons and night. I'll def be pairing it with other smells to try to minimize that final dry down that I'm not liking.

Just got this and don’t get all the hype, first sniff, odd smell, burst of almond at the beginning, vanishes in seconds, left with a barbie doll plastic scent. Maybe it needs to macerate in the bottle more. Update - ok so 10 hours in now and and did top up about 5 hours ago. The dry down is actually really nice a soft Amber vanilla cream. I don’t smell any cherry left at this point and the almond is hardly there. For now I like the dry down better than the opening. I feel my bottle needs to stand a while and develop as the opening is a bit raw. Definitely getting better. Update - decluttered this is not for me - TF cherry smoke I prefer much more

Venom of Love is delicious! Same mouthwatering sour cherry note as Tom Ford Lost Cherry, but covered in chocolate. To me, Venom of Love smells just like a Cherry Tootsie Pop! 🍒😋 Because the cherry note in Venom of Love is more prominent than the chocolate note, I consider it a cherry fragrance rather than a chocolate fragrance. For that reason, I don't feel like I need both Venom of Love and Lost Cherry in my collection. However, I do like Venom of Love better because of the chocolate touch and will be getting it after I run out of Lost Cherry. Better performance and more bang for your buck too.

Lost Cherry dupe. I bought this on a whim. It has been sitting until cooler weather. So this scent has macerated and settled. I thought I would wear, wanting to smell like chocolate cherry. That is NOT what I got. What I smell wearing Venom of Love is the familiar scent of Tom Ford Lost Cherry. Bummer, I already have that fragrance and several dupes as well. Sadly, I don’t pick up on chocolate here. It is a nice scent, as I really like the smell of Lost Cherry. Well made. Lasts a long time. Caution, if you think you’re getting a gourmand chocolate cherry fragrance? No. you are not.

In this exact order is how I experience this fragrance: a boozy deep cherry note, followed by rich almonds, and then creamy dark chocolate. The cherry notes softly radiate outward for the first hour to 90 minutes of wear and then one is left with the almond and chocolate for the duration of the fragrance’s life. At least, that has been my experience with my bottle. This fragrance provides a very gourmand experience, and the chocolate can at times be off-putting, but it is a really pretty scent overall. Please do not impulse purchase this item!

This was tested without the notes so it wasn't until after I looked that I realised that what I was getting was the sour cherry. This is something different, tried a couple of cherry scents but this has been the first where I would say that it isn't sweet.Reminds me a bit of Rouge Smoking but a bit tarter & not so unisex IMO. Not sure I get any chocolate but I do like it, it will be placed in my "possibly" pile.

Super sweet boozy cherry and chocolate scent. Although the chocolate disappears after it dries down, it's still nicely done, I'm not the biggest fan of chocolate but I enjoyed this. It is somewhat similar to Burning Cherry I think.

Lost Cherry, Angel's Share, and a load of honey. I don't seem to get chocolate? But it is very nice. I might buy a bottle if I'm in a cherry mood. I like it better than Lost Cherry

LOVE the sour cherry note, not a fan of the rose.

This is a super juicy sour cherry! It is more sour than sweet. Also, I don't get much of chocolate, to me it is more of a fruity perfume. It has superb performance and reminds of Gritti - Duchessa in that regard, only it is less boozy and spicy, and more juicy/fresh/sour and also no weirdness in the dry down. Much like Kayali - Lovefest Burning Cherry, only much stronger. Also, cherry note stays throughout entire wear! Update: decided to sell my bottle, as I've realised there are too many bottles in my collection and cherry is not my favourite note (nor it is my favourite fruit/berry) and I don't need several cherry scents in my collection. Also, I do prefer more sweet, candy like/gourmand and louder options of cherry :)

Seductive, boozy, and feminine-leaning, with an evolving scent profile. The perfume opens with a realistic combination of sour cherry brandy, dry, dark chocolate, and bitter almond—though the latter two notes unfortunately fade rather quickly. The opening duo of cherry and chocolate briefly brings to mind a liquor-filled praline. As the fragrance develops, the cherry slowly loses its booziness while a rose note emerges, steering the overall scent slightly away from being a pure gourmand. The drydown reveals a warm, sweet aroma of almond and vanilla cream combined with amberwood. If you are cheating on your husband with a complete stranger you plan to pick up at a five-star hotel bar, this is the scent to wear. 6.5/10

Venom of Love is a thorn in Lost Cherry's dupes and I don't know how I feel about it. On the one hand, it delivers a very similar scent profile to LC on a much more affordable price tag with the addition of a hint of chocolate. On the other hand, it feels extremely underwhelming as it brings nothing new to the table; it can easily be classified as "another LC wannabe with a toned down boozy accord". There are so many perfumes with the same cherry profile out there, like LoveFest Burning Cherry, Bodacious, etc. And for this matter, I will much rather buy Bodacious by Bodicea. I guess I am disappointed, but I don't think is worth it a full bottle.

Lost Cherry has been duped by many house or has many "inspirations". No shame in that as it was a top seller. Venom Of Love just sounds so let me at least sample it right? As many have mentioned the performance is average at best between 4 and 6 hours but the worst thing is the chocolate note does not appear until the scent has mostly faded. If the perfumer could retweek the formula then this would be great. As it stands it's ok but not anything to seek out.

As previously stated by others, it’s a TF LC type dupe, not identical but for sure in the same family. I already own LC and Burning Cherry by Kayali. I did blind buy this fragrance and I enjoy it but can honestly say if you have either of the previously mentioned, you do not need this. Additionally, the longevity is moderate, definitely not beast mode imo and there is definitely no originality or uniqueness in any way.

I loved this at first sniff, but there's something sharp in the drydown that I don't like. Additionally, the drydown takes the scent from a lovely opening to a mediocre finish. Whatever makes it special in the beginning goes away after 15 - 20 minutes of wear.

Unfortunately cherry is the most prominent note and its like 95% tom ford's lost cherry which i own too but with better longevity

I am so grateful for Venom of Love! Not because I enjoy it, but because it helped me identify (yet another!) fragrance note to which I have a sensitivity. I had always been calling this note "a particular musk" for lack of a better term. But indeed, it is ambery, too, much too sharp and pungent for my sensibilities. This substance is classified as amberwood here, and since there are no other notes I find offensive in this perfume, it can only be this one. I am sure it goes by other names in other fragrances, but I am one step closer to identifying and avoiding it. The other notes are beautiful, mostly. Of course, everything smells off the mark because of that horrid amberwood, but it opens with an obvious chocolate feel and a luscious dark cherry. Once the dark cherry dies down a little, that's when the amberwood smacks me in the septum and just lingers, unbidden and unwelcomed. It is hard for my nose to ignore the blaring horn of loitering amberwood, but if I concentrate, I do get some rose and jasmine on the dry down, for sure. Once I wait over an hour, a bit of vanilla and whipped cream peek through the onslaught of musky pungent amber, but not enough to save the fragrance for me. I would rate it 4/10. Also not a Lost Cherry dupe or replacement, though it is definitely beastmode. Lost Cherry is sweeter, smoother, sultrier.

OK I have to be really honest here although it is a lovely scent. It is not strong. I let it macerate to no avail,, I even wrote the company and they completely ignored me for weeks! they finally said that there was nothing wrong with it . it is being touted on YouTube as a beastly scent it is not.. don’t believe the hype. it disappears quickly on the skin. What I found is the influencers that are getting their own scents with.Navitus ,are the ones that are claiming it’s just a beastly strong scent. . The other Youtubers are calling it out for what it is. It’s very weak. beautiful but weak. don’t buy this thinking it’s going to last. you’re lucky to get 3 hours maybe 4 out of it. I literally had to douse myself in it. in order to get a complement, after wearing it several times, with no compliments . and that was only when I hugged someone that I did get a compliment,. .. so if you’re the type that just likes a light/medium scent , this might be for you, although it has a strong opening. it quickly fades to almost a chocolatey Play-Doh smell.. it is not unpleasant. just does not last. it is lovely. I hope that they end up making an intense version of this. because this just does not cut it for me. IMO. .
