Babieca

This is my favorite tobacco fragrance thus far. I originally became hooked on fragrances because of Royal Tobacco from Amouage and Halfeti. Royal Tobacco evoked such great memories and instantly became a favorite. I also went with Mancera's Red Tobacco Intense because of the reviews. Throughout my short journey I have tried several others with tobacco. All that to say, this rocks. I am testing this from a sample and realize that this hurts. It hurts to know that my pocketbook will take a hit in the future because I NEED this. I need this to be available at any moment. Miguel Matos creates art. Maybe i can find something on par with this. Until then, it will haunt me.

Opens chocolaty spicy tobacco, dries smoky caramel where cade overpowers, reminiscent of Akro's Smoke, but slightly sweeter. Good stuff.

Mixed feelings about Babieca... opening gives me sensation of the wild animal, almost medicinal leather with dry tobacco and sharp saffron cutting through. Something in it bothers me but at the same time keeps me interested and alert. After a few minutes hay is more present, this stage is probably my favourite. However drydown is...so so, kind of sweet dry leather without roughness. Don’t get me wrong I do like it but not blown away.

The Caramel, realistic tobacco and hay stand out the most and make for a really enjoyable scent.
