706 Saffron & Oud

This is not a dupe of Rose d'Arabie. Maybe if it was the "Rose d'Arabie Gasoline Edition". The mixture of saffron and oud on me smells like straight-up old man-sweat and manure at the opening. The kind that burns your nose. This then becomes all kind of spicy and slightly woody. I can't say I smell that much rose in this, to be honest... but it's actually about as much as in Rose d'Arabie. It's like Rose d'Arabie with spicy saffron, some kind of indolic and patchouli note.... It's quite ambery and spicy. There is a bunch of other notes in this, but to me, it's mainly spice, and then equally much wood, rose and amber. There is just enough patchouli to make this smell slightly like chocolate later. Not a bad perfume (only once it dries down), but don't expect Rose d'Arabie. This is Rose d'Arabies sarcastic and edgy sister. Rose d'Arabie is smooth and gentle.

I tried this perfume in a store and fell in love. It is very expensive and I can't afford it since I'm a student and don't have a job, so I managed to find something with similar notes. I bought the Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian. They're not very similar, you can definitely feel the difference in the quality of the ingredients. The sillage is enormous, I sprayed it 3 times on my hoodie and it was so good that I didn't want to wash it, the pefume was still there after 2 weeks and I'm not even joking. When I'll have money this is going to be the first expensive perfume I will buy😭
