AMOW

I tried this the other day as well as La Danza so go figure I love gourmands hahaha I am of the lucky group that doesn’t get any of the fruity weirdness from it I’d only say at the start a bit of peach but it quickly dries down to nutty almond sweet crumb! Like the crumb on the base of a cheesecake or a pecan pie with a crumb somewhere in there, so I really really like it! Well priced for a big bottle and sillage isn’t massive but lasts a decent amount of time, I can definitely imagine this one for a cozy winter date night cuddling with your partner with some smooth red wine. This one is definitely on my wish list and I’ll probably get it soon hahaha Update: the bestest friend in the world got it for my birthday 🥹🥹🥹 very happy with my new addition!

I love this sweet and salty masterpeice, and I'm usually not into gourmand fragrances. The juicy peach combined with the sweet notes of vanilla and rich buttery bread are what I smell in the big opening. Combining with a salty, nutty note that keeps it all from going too sweet, I can't stop sniffing myself! There is a delicious combination of tonka mixed with rum that keep it really interesting with hints of cherry that waft in and out, never taking over, but giving it a uniqueness that I haven't experienced in other fragrances. Notes of amber and wood hold it all together and add a touch of cozy warmth.

One of the best vanilla gourmand fragrances I’ve ever tried. It’s phenomenal. I think if more people smelled this it’s going to be a very popular recommendation.

I love pecans, and this has a butter pecan vibe that I really like. It’s pretty specific though, so I’m giving it a 4 out of 5.

So, I've been on the look-out for possible alternatives to a couple of my most beloved but expensive fragrances. I am not seeking 1:1 dupes but fragrances that might be in the same wheelhouse as some of my most worn fragrances. And even though the notes are not similar, I hoped Neil Jacquet "AMOW" might be an occasional substitute for Une Nuit Nomade "Jardins de Misfah." Also, Sebastian "The Perfume Guy" raved about this fragrance and I usually align with Sebastian's preferences & fragrance picks. Not sure what to say about this one. While nice enough (I suppose), the fragrance felt of poor quality and juvenile to my unsophisticated nose. AMOW is one of the truest gourmand fragrances I've recently tried and/or owned. And the field is FLOODED with uber-gourmand fragrances, right? But there just seems to be too much going on with the fragrance that makes it a confusing wear for me. Lots of edible nuts, something very yeast-like and doughy in the mix. Thick & syrupy amber-rum. Uber-sweet to a point of being cloying & nauseating. Nice enough for the right person. Just not for me.

This starts out as a super boozy vanilla orange/mandarin scent. I didn't find it cloying or too syrupy. After a couple min, a little more cherry starts to come out and it stays in that fruity gourmand category. It's consistent for 30-40 min, but then the tonka and vanilla completely take over and the fruit almost completely disappears. I think it's still there in the background, but only if you look for it. It ends as more of a pastry gourmand, with mostly a generic vanilla note. I thought this started out special and fun, so I was sad to see it go downhill. Because of how much it changed over time, I also think it would be challenging to layer with other scents. This is a pass for me, I'd rate it at 5/10.

It's fruity in the opening, then quickly goes to a nutty, pastry, ambery phase. It's a weird scent, like something cooked went sour after being left outside overnight in hot summer...The dry down is screechy to my nose...

Wow I really thought I’d like this based off some of the reviews, and I almost always love peach fragrances. But this is not what I expected. At all. From this I get hardly any peach or fruitiness and instead I get the smell of snacks. Not sweet snacks, salty snacks. Popcorn, pretzels, nuts etc. The saltiness in this is giving slight Olympea Intense vibes. Where is the peach!? So sad. edited to add: The more it dries down the more it becomes Olympea Intense.

This is one of the most delicious fragrances I have ever smelt and one of the best In my entire collection! Now if your wondering if this fragrance is half as this delicious as those notes sound , then let me tell you this fragrance blew my mind! So on first spray you get the sweetest juiciest fruits with a touch of the most delicious almost caramelised pecan nuts and omg it smells incredible! Then as it dries down you definitely get the crumble note! It literally smells like a warm sweet fruit crumble baking In the oven with caramelised pecan nuts sprinkled on the top! It’s sweet fruity, nutty and omg is it delicious! In the final dry down you get the vanilla and Madeline notes come through and it’s warm and edible smelling whilst still keeping the sweetness of the fruit and the delicious almost carmelised syrupy pecan nuts. This fragrance literally makes my eyes roll back and to me this is absolute perfection in a bottle, it’s just the most beautiful smell. You can really tell the brand have spent a lot of time creating this masterpiece! The performance is also incredible! This lasted 10 plus hours on my skin with a great sillage. This fragrance ticks every single box for me, and I am completely obsessed with it! There is literally nothing in my collection I can compare this too, it totally stands alone and doesn’t smell like anything else. The Pecan note is honestly to die for and I have already ordered my back up bottle of this! It’s blended to perfection! You get the sweetness of the fruit, the pecan, the warmness of the Madeline the vanilla, it’s just perfect!

Reviewing on behalf of The Scent Lounge Facebook group (www.TheScentLoungeFB.com AMOW Review Let me just start off by saying - this is a BANGER 💣 On initial spray I get juicy fruits, peach stands out the most to me. Thankfully the cherry is almost non existent because I hate cherry. Then comes the almond and pecan crumble 😍🤤 and holy f*ck is it good. It smells like a delectable pie baking in the oven with glazed pecans and sweet crumble on top. I mean my eyes rolled into the back of my head. As it dries down you get the vanilla, Madeline, and rum - but those fruity notes and that glazed pecan crumble is still there. This blew me away. The performance seems great so far but I will have to do a full wear test. As of right now, this is a stand out in my collection. I don’t have anything like it and I’m sooo happy. I’ve been getting tired of the BL, EG, and Vaniglia type profiles. This right here is THAT B*TCH.

I like to take risks 😄 so I ordered a bottle relying on the attractive scent pyramid. The brand is new to me - unknown, I really hope it will pleasantly surprise me🤞🏻 I will add my review when I receive the bottle. UPD. I smell a beautiful peach in this scent, a little citrus notes, but most of all I smell nutty notes, they seem a little salty, but they sound beautiful and interesting! And also a very loud note of Madeleine cookies is heard. The cookies seem to be a little burnt and smell like burnt sugar. Very dense scent, with good projection and amazing durability!

Received 2 small samples of AMOW and it is interesting because if you sniff it from the atomiser, the fruits and peach dominate but upon sprays, the nuts seem to lead the accords. AMOW is more a crowd pleaser and more 'accepted' compared to Javanilla. This is rich, buttery and nutty. Well blended fruity and nuts combo IMHO. Projection and longevity are average, less prominent compared to Les Nobles Mirage Gourmand and BTSO Nuts from the same perfumer. Considering I already have 2 bottles of Mirage Gourmand and a bottle of Nuts, it is a bit redundant to own AMOW.

I am not crazy about gourmands and many peach notes are too artificial, but I still wanted to give this a try... and it is incredible! Warm vanilla candied pecans and boozy sweet peach syrup. But this isn’t just sweets and treats, it has a very beautiful amber and tonka blend that envelopes you. I can imagine a ritzy boutique hotel in Aspen smelling like this and everyone wishing they made a perfume that smelled the same way. Nothing smells screechy nor artificial. Very well grounded, unisex and high quality.

I love nutty gourmands, but this one is a bit challenging. The opening is both nutty and fruity, and It seems like the notes are really clashing. The fruits do soften in the drydown and the fragrance becomes more harmonious. It also develops a pastry like quality to it. I think the perfumer has created some amazing gourmands (Mirage Gourmand and Jany), but I'm not sure about this one. I don't dislike like it. I'll wear my decant, but I dont think I'll move onto a full bottle.

This is delicious. I get an edible almost biscuit-like start with a touch of cherry. The peach is not a juicy fruity peach but more baked. The dry down is almost pure gourmand but it's saved by the woody notes. The hazelnut here reminds me of Guidance. Just as with Guidance, I need to be in the mood for that strong, sweet/savoury note because it can get overwhelming.

Mapled pecans. Caramelized popcorn. Baked bread. Browned butter cookies. Lots of sugary, roasted nuts like from a vendor in Times Square. I don't get any of the peach or fruity aspects. It's definitely an interesting scent. I personally don't want to smell like roasted nuts all day...but If you're into that, go nuts!

OMG this is so good! I'm a gourmand lover and I have over 400 perfumes in my collection. This perfume is really exquisite and addictive. I smell citruses and nuts in a very addictive and unique way. I don't have any similar scent in my collection so this is a WINNER

This is a no for me. Based on the notes, this should be an amazing gourmand scent. Well, it is not. Super weak, cannot smell any nuts or tonka. No vanilla either. It has some faint lemony scent but not sophisticated in any stretch of the imagination. Hard pass

Didn’t like it Hard to describe it’s slightly generic fruity and nutty but not in a pleasant way. I don’t think the notes are blended very nicely together. I found it overbearing. Definitely sample first.

Gosh, practically everything in it is edible. May need to get my hands (nose?) on it.
