Nejma 6

Weirdly, this reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle in the beginning. I think it's the combination of rich, oriental spices and a fruity note conveyed with Calone. I owned Coco M and kind of grew to hate it so that association is the only thing that is keeping me from running right out and buying this. It is this exciting balance of fresh and rich that is a little off kilter in the beginning but grows into this assured and utterly gorgeous fresh spiciness. I don't smell any pineapple (thankfully). There's a sort of generic frutiness that I would associate more with berry than pineapple or apple. But, since it's all chemical anyway, it hardly matters. This frutiness is laid over a really gorgeous base of tonka bean, benzoin and incense. There are a lot of fragrances that tread this ground but none so successfully. This fragrance makes me think of Elizabeth Taylor in it's undeniable beauty, richness and quality. The materials are top notch, the blending is superb. I would describe it as being more in the low cut tops over generous bosoms, big hair and big diamonds category. There is absolutely nothing remotely chic or on trend about this fragrance. It's maybe even, and I hesitate to say this given how much I love it, a tad dowdy. I've never tried a Roja Dove fragrance but this is what I imagine they are like, best quality materials, exquisitely crafted but more monuments to wealth and good taste than examples of artistry. Still, there is a place for fragrances like this and the quality to price ratio of this is fantastic.

Very interesting: for some inexplicable reason Nejma Six smells like a BIG white floral to me. Sweet, powdery, featuring jasmine and/or orange blossom. It is also very fruity, I get a lot of pineapples, citruses, berries, and apples. Pretty! I feel a bit of incense in the background, and some woodiness (sandalwood? as to the oud, I don't sense any). This is a complex scent, I think it requires many tests before one can finally understand it. At this point, I may only say that I like it, but find a bit over the top. Too many notes, too much is going on. However, this is just me, I do prefer minimalistic compositions. This is not.

Nejma 6 is such a delicious perfume! I love it. It's so luscious, rich, fruity, creamy (not too much coconut!), lovely spices, beautiful blackcurrant, gorgeous smoky oud, it's a wonderful oud, and gorgeous tonka, musk, incense, sandalwood and benzoin. It's so smooth and luxurious; so exotic, deep, mysterious and aromatic. Beautiful.

it's a rich, complex blend and i find its complicity to be a big advantage. creamy, soft,powdery and fruity...as for the oud , i cannot really smell it here either. here oud is in the background, featuring sweet fruity notes. still, it's not candy sweet, it has spicy sweetness.

Love the fragrance, so rich, tasty, elegant. You can feel all the notes, the green apple, the oud... It's my favorite! Classy, chic, different!

Nejma 6 is sweet and woodsy. It started with a base of strong earthy smells like pine and evolved shortly into a warm licorice-type scent. After a waft of licorice, it slowly faded to a subtle/clean and classy spicy floral. Yes I know I used a lot of adjectives there but I am not quite sure how else to describe it because it was blended so well. When I tested it felt like a perfect winter perfume. It has a warmth that is perfect for these cold rainy days where I live. The only thing is it doesn't have lasting power, but it seemed to hold better on my sweater sleeves than on my skin. Nejma 6 is complex and shy and sometimes that makes more of a statement. <3 Husband's impression: woodsy, sweet, and more sophisticated. He said it's perfect for today's cold weather. Rank 7.5 /10

The bottle I have is the old red one with Pascal Morabito on the front, but from what I can tell the notes are the same as the newer black bottle. It's definitely rich and fruity with grilled pineapple, incense and a dash of powdery tonka. I would say I love it but there is a bitter note in here, I think it's the black currant, that smells like hairspray or some sort of aerosol propellant. My skin seems to amplify the harsher, unpleasant qualities of black currant, thus interrupting the smooth warmth of an otherwise perfect dark tropical perfume. It's definitely not run-of-the-mill and if I were more of a black currant fan it would be a solid love instead of a like.

goes on a powdery fruity floral and stays that way

It's a very sofisticated and complicated perfume,... The notes are hard to distinguish , but if I were to try and categorize it I would place it into a fruity-oriental area. Not that I can tell about any particular fruits, but there is a sweet juiciness enveloping a woody spice base. Also I sense some sort of clean insense here . It is perfumey in a best possible way... Not exactly "me" , as I am more of a "raw and wholesome " kind of perfume lover, but beautiful... Definitely suited for black tie events, evenings at expensive restaurants, fancy cocktail parties. It's mature , elegant like a Chanel, voluptuous , despite the tropical youthful notes.... Looking at the notes I was almost expecting something in the Escada lines, but can assure they are nothing alike. More in the lines of the "Prive " collections. The bottle is dark burgundy red, not like the one pictured here, elegant. It seems that Pascal Morabito tried purposely to make it as complex as possible, using materials that should be clashing with one another, but they are not. As for the aoud ? I am accustomed to Montale's aouds, and here is just a whisper in the background... A supporting note instead of a Primadonna, but it's there nonetheless . Overall, a rich, elegant, complex and quite heavy fruity woody oriental. I wish I had more occasions to wear it but I don't, so I guess I should swap it....pm me.

A rich blend of fruit, spice, and sweetness. The citrus and black current are the most apparent, with a small dose of coconut, all sprinkled in just a little bit of spice. The middle notes give the lighter top blend a lovely creaminess but don't take it anywhere near heavy territory. Oud is not overt but it is noticeable and lends the necessary depth to complete the structure. I think this solid composition is completely genderless, and stands apart from the other Nejma offerings. In fact, all that I have tried from Nejma have their own personalities which each add different qualities to the line. A nice compact range of fragrances to explore.

I have tried Nejma 2 through to 6 and I am really unimpressed... However, this one and the second one are probably the better ones... Still... expect strong, loud, messy balance of notes... There's a bit of apple drowning in heavy woody notes... Almost masculine quality... Sample the whole range before you decided to buy!! I am so glad that I did...

i coulda swore it had some Vetiver of some kind. This is another Brilliantly complex poetry of Oudh. Has an odd "green" "rooty" note. Might seem a bit wierd or old fashioned, but the dry down... is to die for. feels like a rich powdery rose. Those wondering, Macy's carries it. it's where i got to try all 6
