Himalayan Musk

This smells like the inside of a new age shop to me. It starts off like a light soapy earthy incense and finishes with an equally light and warm animalic musk. There are hints of soapy, salty, woody, and dirty but nothing stands out.. I have been after a scent with this profile for some time, and have encountered other people on a similar search. If you are one of these people, you might want to give this one a shot. It's not nag champa, it's that *other* more expensive incense that you keep looking for but can't track down. I don't know if Nemat is the standout example of this type of musk, but if you are near a Whole Foods and want to try to pinpoint the "new age shop/Tibetan bookstore vibe" do not overlook Himalayan Musk.

I noticed that this had a direct comparison to Keihl's Musk, and I can't argue with that; this is remarkably similar to Kiehl's Musk, just minus the floral notes. This is a fresh and soapy musk with a touch of earthiness to it, but not in that dirty or obnoxious way some "dirt" themed fragrances can have. I like it. If you're looking for a simple fresh musk fragrance, I'd suggest giving this one a try.

i love this one because it reminds me of my grandma and the natural Chinese medicines and oils she would regularly use and apply. she didn't speak much english but always fed me when I was hungry. and when I would go to her room to ask for dinner, it was engulfed by this scent. this just perfectly captures the memory of my Poh poh. yes, it's soapy. but i love the earthiness sitting beneath.

Holy FRANKINCENSE batman! Wintergreen - Ylang-Ylang- mimosa/cassie powdery - MUSK KETONE (I'm almost certain they use nitromusks) , green, pine, terpineol, herbs, benzoin, labdanum a smidge of vanilla. cedarwood. What a unique scent. Like what the hell is this!? I like it alot!

Warm, comforting, relaxing, simple, natural and clean smelling. Perfect in autumn when the weather is cooling down on the weekends. On my skin it’s potent and lasts for a long time so I’m careful not to over apply. For the price, wow!

A earthy musk which gives a slight floral sweetness towards the end. I absolutely adore it. There is a hint of smokiness which gives it a bit of depth to the body. It's cozy, clean, comforting, simple. Great for those cooler days

Very soapy but also a really nice, fresh, crisp fragrance. This might be one of my new signatures.

I picked this up the other day at Whole Foods as an impulse buy. Decided to wear it today to test it out on my skin, since I thought it smelled nice in the bottle. This is a slightly spiced/woody flowery soft musk scent. It’s okay, but it doesn’t quite smell like “me”. After a few hours I decided to layer on another Nemat oil, Vanilla Musk. This made it better, a bit more complex. I thought it might cover up the scent but it actually blended nicely. To give it even more warmth I eventually added Nemat Amber Musk. This was a good choice. I would say as a final verdict that I would not personally choose to wear Himalayan Musk on its own, as it feels like it’s missing something for me. It could be that I’m just attuned to Gourmand scents right now, and anything else feels like ill-fitting clothes. Nemat oils are affordable but seem to be good quality, are long-lasting, blend well together, and have pretty decent sillage.

It smells VERY floral and soapy, with some musk with gives it an edge. When I got home my mom said I smelled like a temple though, so that kind of ruined it for me

I like the Egyptian musk better than this style. It's very soapy then it turns earthy. Like a bar of soap covered in soil. Not my thing.

I was expecting to smell like a Tibetan monastery similar to those Himalayan temple incense mixes but with a vague musky powder similar to Egyptian musk. In reality it smells like a powdery old lady fart with hints of soap.

This needs more reviews, most of the Nemat International oils need more reviews. They are sold at Whole Foods, people should be reviewing these as often as Pacifica. Himalayan Musk oil is lovely. When first applied, I don't smell much at all and then I end up over applying. An hour later it's mixed in with my natural skin oil and body heat, creating an impressive cloud of muskiness. There was enough sillage that I received a few compliments.... words like "fresh" and "clean". People were surprised to hear that it was a simple inexpensive musk oil, something they've seen at Whole Foods a thousand times and never bothered to smell. Longevity is a good six hours or more on me and it changes most delightfully as it wears. A more floral nuance appears, powdery and "white" feeling. (Sometimes I 'see' smells in the form of color) Himalayan Musk is fantastic on its own when you want simplicity or would make a great layering oil for scents you wanted to increase the musk accord on. I will definitely have to check out Nemat's other oils, I think they could be a great addition to my wardrobe, especially considering my love for layering.

This is a very soapy musk. I would say it's leaning to the masculine side of unisex, and I think I've smelled a similar cologne, but a particular name and brand doesn't come to mind. I thought I smelled incense, but it isn't listed in the notes. Considering the note list length, I have to think that the notes are incomplete. It is quite strong compared to the vanilla and amber scents I received from the company. Lasting power is over 8 hrs.

The opening of this oil is very fresh, soapy, and musky. As it dries down, it becomes softer and the musk/soap dissipates a bit. It becomes a light powdery scent. I would imagine this would be for someone who doesn't want a powerful punch of a scent but more of a skin scent... It reminds me of the slogan by Duke Cannon's cologne line "To be discovered, not announced."

This delicious fragrance is a comforting, clean musk. It is mild and not offensive. It has a sensual appeal to it.
