Mogra

Indian jasmine. Clean and green white floral. Pretty.

INDOLIC!!!!! I don't mind skankiness in a perfume, but if I were to close my eyes and imagine this perfume as a place, here's what comes to mind: an unkempt brothel in which someone once hung up jasmine garlands to mask the scent of sweat (amongst other things), but now the garlands have rotted and only exaggerate the state of the brothel.

This! I had to see if this perfume was on Fragrantica, JUST to review it! This is the sweetest, deepest, most beautiful Jasmine. Mogra ( Indian Jasmine ) is the most different of all Jasmines I’ve ever smelled. I’ve always been a passionate obsessor of Lust by Lush Cosmetics. So much so, that I tried to recreate it with my mom’s MANY essential oils. But I couldn’t figure it out! There was something deeply sweet missing. I knew it was the type of Jasmine, because an article stated once, that they used a special Jasmine for Lust ( and Flying Fox ) My mom said she had all the Jasmines, and I googled everything I could, to find NOTHING! So upon smelling Mogra, my search is at its end. I think Lust is just Mogra with small drops of the other scent ingredients. My heart is so happy to have found my long lost search for this special Jasmine. Most Jasmines are strong, fresh, and sometimes so fresh, that it turns to a pungent? But Morgan’s, Indian Jasmine is very sweet & candy like almost, to my nose. It’s also very strong, but in Nemats perfume oil, its projection isn’t annoying. It’s a a skin scent with projection of about 6 inches. However if you enjoy this scent, and wish to be smelled down the hall or fill a room, then Lust by Lush is a beautifully loud twin scent. I REALLY hoped to find a “this scent reminds me of...” category. But I’m the first to review. I want this scent in everything I own! I want similar scents, I want Mogra EVERYWHERE! It’s just so uniquely beautiful!

smells exactly like jasmine green tea. by nature of being an oil, it doesn't have great projection but it works well as a base for layering.
