Narcissus

I wasn't sure that the narcissus note would appear on my skin, or if there even was narcissus in this since I own Gardenia from this brand and there is no gardenia in it. I thought that the designated flower in this fragrance would be in name only like the gardenia is in name only in that. BTW - The strongest flower used in that perfume is actually ylang. Fortunately, on my skin, I do smell a beautiful daffodil note in this that's nicely rounded out with some woody notes, sweet and spicy notes, a little tea, a little bit of soapiness and what makes me think of incense. It's strange, but when I smell my skin where I applied, it reminds me a bit of the original Byzance. I see someone here thought it reminded them of Samsara. I can understand that because even though no wood notes are listed there is something in this that smells like sandalwood. It would have been helpful if there was a full note breakdown either here or on the manufacturer's website to either confirm or disprove that, but there is not. Whatever the case the smell of sandalwood, subtle spice notes, the narcissus note and possibly carnation too, is done in a way that feels very mysterious and exotic and brings to mind those great fragrances of the past. To top it all off, this has lovely soft silage that amazingly for an oil, projects and lasts all day, I also love that since it is an oil I can run a little through my hair without fear of damaging it. I am also willing to bet this will smell just as lovely in warmer temps as it does right now. I've since passed along my sample to someone I think will love it too because I've already ordered a bottle, and a few others perfume oils from this wonderful brand.

my mom is not a perfume person, but she did have a few “signatures”. one was a pure, crisp lavender oil. the other was China Rain. i bought this on a whim, and upon first application, was hit with a wave of nostalgia. i didn’t connect the dots until my sister pointed out how much this perfume smells like China Rain — it really does! i love wearing it. i’m reminded of all of the ways i am like my mother, for good and ill. as i approach the age she was when she had me, this perfume makes me think about our lives in contrast and context, makes me wonder about her interiority as she approached 30, what she thought her life might be like. it’s a beautiful fragrance, and it makes me recognize my own beauty, and the beauty of my mother. a heady but grounded floral, full-bodied but delicate.

I actually purchase this fragrance regularly at Whole Foods. I wanted to try a narcissisus fragrance and this is gorgeous. A lighter oriental option in my opinion. Often orientals can be too spicy for me, but this narcissus stays light and airy. I use it almost every night before bed because it’s such a comforting smell. Very sweet floral. I think the tea note keeps it from being too sickly sweet and gives a nice green effect. Love it. longevity: 10 sillage: 8 its too thick to spray so the rollerball oil has its drawbacks for the projection, but its still very strong price: $ its under $20 so super good value 10

This is really pretty. FB worthy for sure. I love mixing fragrance oils with spray perfumes, and this is oil will work well with perfumes I have in my collection like Lancome Poeme or Hermes Kelly Caleche but it is beautiful on its own as well. It smells like a field of daffodils. I adore spring, it is probably my favorite season. There is nothing like the smell of flowers. I just adore any fragrance that can capture spring in a bottle and if you love daffodils like I do you need this pretty fragrance oil in your life.

i love this one on my mom! that's my only problem with it; it's her signature. i would personally love to wear it but i would rather not gank her style. lovely warm, earthy, floral smell. it may come across as an 'old lady' scent to some, but i think the maturity of it comes off as more regal than old, like something a princess would wear. the colors/vibes of the bottle truly fit the nature of the scent!

Hmmm this really does smell like creamy narcissus. Very pretty ! If applied generously it last for a while, almost all day long, but the scent after hours is just tea. It smells like green tea leaves which I like anyway :) No projection, its a discrete scent which is perfect for summer office wear. I am never disappointed with Nemat.

I don't usually go for florals because they tend to feel too feminine/heady/simple, but I really like this one! I also don't usually go for sweet perfumes because my chemistry makes everything smell sweeter and more vanilla y, and it's just not what I'm going for. This has more backbone than florals usually do; it feels a bit earthier and even though there's a sweetness, it's just not at all sickly the way I'm used to, it's just the right amount. Definitely a yellow floral, with a base note I can't put my finger on that keeps it grounded and a bit complex/interesting (maybe amber). I definitely get why people are getting a bit of black tea from this. This feels bright, warm, earthy, welcoming, and just a bit fresh. It reminds me of when spring is first starting; the imagine it calls to mind is a sunny day heating up the grass and freshly bloomed flowers.

This is lovely, but it doesn't smell remotely like narcissus to me. It smells more like tuberose, with perhaps a dash of ylang ylang. Sometimes it gives Amarige. It's good for what it is, and the sillage/performance seem stronger than the other Nemat oils that I have, but I was hoping for a pure narcissus note, with that green-earthy note, and I get zero narcissus from this. I don't even know how to grade this because it is so different from the way that it's described here and on the website, which is where I bought the 5-ml rollerball. I almost have to wonder whether it was simply a bottling or labeling error, and I got a tuberose fragrance instead of a narcissus one.

I have many memories associated with this fragrance. It's a very full floral that reminds me of flowers in full bloom. Very assertive fragrance.

This is a warm, spicy, floral combination. It reminds me, in some strange way, to Samsara, although this one lacks the sandalwood that is so prominent in samsara. But think about warm creaminess. This creaminess is stronger in the drydown. It is smooth but at the same time, there is some pepper there. this is a beauty, extremely long lasting (one drop in my hand and I can still sniff it 10 hours later). It has enormous sillage as well.

I have a sample and I used a bit on my hand and it’s smelled so beautiful through out the day. It has strength..

This smells just like CHLOE NARCISSUS !!!!!! Thank me later and not all at once ! $16.00 !!!!!!
