Citrine

This is my fav scent!! I randomly obtained a tiny bottle of this when I was a kid and rediscovered it a few years ago, the smell instantly hit me and I remembered why I stowed it away. I find this scent to be so comforting yet sophisticated, it is fresh but settles down into something more intimate and almost anticipatory, if that makes any sense at all. The best way I can encapsulate this scent is that it makes me feel free. Citrine stays on the skin nicely but is not too abrasive, it especially stays well when sprayed on clothes and I really recommend the roller ball for direct application. I’ll be honest, I never thought it smelled like dish soap until I read the reviews, and yeah, the top notes are a little soapy but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. It’s more like the freshness most dish soaps try to replicate than any chemical smell.

I tried Citrine years ago and really disliked it. I don't know if I had a bad sample or if it truly just wasn't what I enjoyed at the time. I just tried this out for the first time in at least two years and I am BLOWN AWAY. The opening lemon blossom note is stunning - it's airy and sparkling, a little sweet, but also tangy. I don't know how the longevity is since I literally just applied this fragrance, but I look forward to sampling this more because I really enjoy how it smells. There is something almost sugar crystal sweet in here...like a lemon cupcake with frosting. I'm very impressed by how this smells.

Nest Citrine 3ml Rollerball EDP: Citruses and florals can be hit or miss for me, but this is a lovely bright and cheerful scent. I get opening notes of tart and slightly sweet lemon and orange with undertones of light, fresh florals. It is a really pretty citrus floral for spring, although the longevity is only about 2 hours on me. I adore the beautiful packaging of this fragrance too. I like that I was able to spray and test this fragrance at Sephora before redeeming the free sample. It did not disappoint.

I shockingly love this. The Lemon just gives it that perfect little zing on top of the beautiful florals to make it a peppy, happy, every day, on the go perfume. This would be a great pick to wear to any outdoor parties or events or heck, just sitting on the porch swing watching the kiddos play while drinking fresh lemonade with your gal pals. Out of the sample set I bought I definitely have to say this one is my favorite or atleast top 2. I’ll have to buy a full bottle.

Smells like eating sour lemon candy next to a pool (in a good way, watery not chlorine-y). The dry down is what takes this from linear to more interesting. It dries down to a more unisex woody, almost peppery scent. I really like it. Snagged a 1.7oz bottle for $18 at Nordstrom Rack. Sadly I think it is discontinued. If you want something a little brighter that stays sweet and citrusy the whole wear, try Sunflower Pop by Floral Street.

I’m really getting into fragrances and the Nest multi trial large trial options came in the mail today. I already have wild poppy and adore it. Out of the 6 other scents this is also my favorite for a different reason. I like J’adore but it lasts like 10 minutes on me. This smells very similar to it to me and lasts wayyyyy longer. Very j’adore vibes to me. Love it! I’ll be getting a bigger bottle.

For me is a delicate and soft fragrance, like a fluffy cloud. The light citrus notes appear subtly in the first few minutes, leaving behind an elegant white floral scent that doesn’t cause headaches. It’s a fragrance of purity and freshness, reminiscent of an expensive skincare cream with a hint of lemon. Unfortunately, the longevity is weak, lasting barely an hour on my skin.

I absolutely love this. It smells spicy and lemony on my skin. Very sexy and juicy-drippy, if that makes sense. It's almost heady to me in a way. It definitely is one of the best fragrances I've smelled. Someone else said they wish they could have this fragrance as a drink, and I totally relate to that sentiment!

i LOVE this scent. it starts lemony and citrus-y and dries down to a very powdery, clean and fresh scent that has a HINT of sweetness. it manages to avoid a wood-polisher or cleaning lemon scent. i can smell it on my clothes and skin hours after applying it, and i finished it faster than anything i've bought

This fragrance is beautiful. I thought it would be a Citrus smell, but it's more of a fresh floral. Not overpowering, not age specific. Long lasting, good for day and night and all seasons.

Clean. Simple. Citrusy. I use this as a base under all my Bergamot or light florals. Great value, especially when you find it at Nordstroms Rack.

It's pleasant. Sweet and happy, but nothing to get too excited over.

I think this is what I wanted Light Blue to be- one of my husband's friend gifted me with a full-sized LB because he knew I love fragrance but doesn't know what I like in perfumes, and I revisited this the following day knowing LB reminded me of one of my GWP samples, and this was the one. I find the citrus to be much less astringent in Citrine, and more interesting even though this isn't an especially complex or masterfully executed scent. It's certainly pleasant though, and the kind of bottle I'd reach for if I knew I was doomed to walk outside all day in the middle of the Houston summer to cheer me up. It gets quite soapy/clean as I wear it. I'm sampling this again with no recollection of my previous experience, this time in the middle of winter, and I find that it doesn't project much at all and doesn't last much beyond 5-6 hours.

Given the name, you'd think this would be a citrusy perfume. It is not. It is a fairly generic white floral with some fruitiness. On me, I can't detect any citrus at all which is a bummer. Having said that, it's not bad. Definitely a pretty, clean floral that isn't too loud. It's fresh and cute, a bit sweet. I'm still new to fragrance so I don't have a lot of references to draw from, but it reminds me of a simpler version of Marc Jacobs Daisy without the strawberry notes. It's... fine. Inoffensive, but not unique.

This has a bright and juicy start that I love. The fresh tangerine-y smell is completely natural with no artificial citrus to be either overly sweet or to smell like cleaning spray. Just garden-y and lovely. It quickly dries down to a very generic white floral. Not too obtrusive, and completely fine/ordinary. I only dash on a little, and wait for it to mostly wear off because the part I look forward to is refreshing with that first fresh scent I fell in love with when I sprayed it in the store.

Very, very, very, very faint to me. Nearly impossible to smell unless I've put far too much on to be reasonable. What I can smell is very pleasant though, if not slightly generic. It's a pretty normal citrussy-floral smell. Which isn't a bad thing! It just is not incredibly special. Even though I do like it, I'll never be able to justify getting a bottle of it due to the poor duration and even poorer sillage. But if you know you're a fan of this sort of scent, go for it!

This is probably the first fragrance I have smelled with lemon blossom. Despite it being the only citrus note, it is quite strong in the opening, and still lingers throughout dry down. Freesia adds a sweet floral note and the lotus adds a sense of watery-ness. To me, it is very much a green fragrance first with a touch of citrus. While not a dupe, the green forward fruity floral reminds me of Hugo for Women where this is citrus and Hugo is more plummy.

I was hoping to get the lemon in this found in Bigelow's Lemon, but it didn't get me there. I have Seville Neroli from Nest so I wanted something else from the brand. I decided to layer this with Chanel Chance Tendre EDT and found a winning match. This made the Tendre juicier and last longer. These two friends came home with me and create a melodious harmony on my skin that my nose and endorphins truly enjoy. Im left feeling happy with every whiff!

Beautiful. Citrus with a woods background. This is a very light scent. The sillage is almost nothing. This is unfortunate, as I really like this scent, but it is so delicate and shy. How can one justify spending $68 on a fragrance that barely lasts two hours... and only lasts that long if applied with a heavy hand? Good for wearing to a workplace where wearing scents is frowned upon. No one will notice you are wearing anything.

Citrus, white flowers and a woodsy base. Simple but not necessarily boring. This seems very versatile to me--I think it could be worn year-round, day or evening, and would probably layer well with a variety of other scents. Reminds me of Daisy and flankers, and would recommend to fans of Elizabeth Arden classic scents like 5th Avenue and Sunflowers.

This is a very simple, delicate, but lovely scent. The lemon blossom is most prevalent to me. It lasts about 3-4 hours for me. It is office friendly and is perfect for summer. I received a mini rollerball of this when i redeemed some Sephora points. I don't think i would pay full price for a bottle but will enjoy the rollerball while it lasts.

I have a tiny rollerball and it encapsulates the color yellow & sunshine rays. Smells identical to Versace Yellow Diamond. My mom owns that one so I detect a lot of similarities, especially the lemon & freesia note. This one is more aquatic and fresh. Pretty for spring days or in the summer when you want something fresh, less tropical.

I’m astonished this is a floral, because it smells so deliciously citrusy! I get where people are coming from when they say it smells like dish detergent, but the jokes on you— I like the smell of soap. I feel very clean and pretty when I wear this, although I wish it lasted longer on the skin.

This has become my go-to fresh scent. I don't really smell lemon or citrus in it - there might be a sweet, soft hint, but nothing obvious. I get sweet greens and mountain/spring water from it. Lasts 2-4 hours on me (my skin eats pretty much every perfume except gourmands).

This is, sadly, just a generic citrus floral on me. I was hoping for some more watery and woody notes to balance things, but I just don't detect any of that. It's certainly not a bad fragrance, but it is something that has been done a lot by others.

A floral citrus that's oddly homely and nostalgic to me, it smells like those fragrance sticks your grandmother had in her bathroom to make the air smell good. Probably not as interesting as Indigo, but a great scent.

A gorgeous 'happy' fragrance! I adore Nest fragrances as they have a beautiful lasting power and stunning scents, this is no exception. It is quite a strong floral to begin with but softens nicely.

A very light, sheer, clean floral. Pleasant and inoffensive but not remarkable at all. It disappeared after an hour or so.

Nowhere as complex or interesting--or edgy--as Nest's previous offerings. A soft, sweet floral, but not for me.

I want to love it but I have Bath & Body Works sprays that are stronger + last longer.

It smells almost citrus to me.

This fragrance is ok, nothing special. Again, so many of these I tried today have a candle smell to them that is disappointing. This starts off smelling like a lemon candle and progresses on to a freesia candle smell. The only fragrances I have liked from Nest are the Black Tulip, and the Indigo. Those 2 are really nice and are worthy of at least a travel size. I also liked the natural oil line but only 3 out of the 5, the Vanilla, the Orange and the Sandalwood ones were nice but the Jasmine and the Rose out of that line were just ok. I have to say I am disappointed in this whole fragrance line, I kind of expected more from such a posh brand. Their candles, diffusers, and hand soaps are all very nice and perform really well. I just wish their fragrance line was as good as their other products.

The name made me believe that it would be predominately citrus. I don't really like citrus, so i was pleasantly surprised that the lemon notes didn't last long and it turned floral. That being said, it still didn't "wow" me. Nothing about it really stood out to me. It stays close to the skin and sort of blends with your own body chemistry. It smells like all the girls' hair when garnier fructis / herbal essences shampoo was popular back in high school.

I expected to love this based on the notes, but it's just okay to me. It's quite sharp in the opening, the citrus taking on a cleaning product type vibe. It morphs into a watery floral that's pleasant but not special. I bought the travel size and I'll probably keep it/use occasionally on a Spring/Summer day, but I wouldn't repurchase. Sad because Citrine is my birthstone and I wanted to connect with this more than I do.

This smells like if dew drops were candy. A very subtle scent, mostly green with a little sweetness and a slight suggestion of citrus. At first sniff I found it a bit boring, but it's really grown on me - it has a lovely delicately sweet freshness that is refreshing on its own and also layers beautifully with other scents. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

It opens with a sweet, underwhelming, lemon verbena scent. I’m guessing thats the lemon blossom. I would love this scent as a drink, if that makes sense? I wish I liked it more, as it seemed to fade quickly. I am much more partial to Under the Lemon Tree by Maison Margiela.

I won't bash the scent itself - it smells pleasant but it is VERY generic white floral with a hint of citrus. Nothing unique about it. Given the weak sillage and even weaker lasting power, just do yourself a favor and buy literally anything else in the same category.

I purchased a mini roller of Nest citrine. To me, it smells like a bit like Light Blue or one of its flankers. It’s a nice, refreshing scent for spring or summer although once I finish the mini, I don’t plan on purchasing a larger size.

Simple, clean citrus scent, good for the office. Projects “I am a stable person who makes responsible choices”, maybe I was trying to manifest that. I have repurchased this a couple times, but it’s nothing too interesting.

Beautiful bright opening, standard floral dry down. Just okay on me.

This is a simple, clean citrus floral. It is bright, but not sharp. On me, the citrus dies down into a white floral freesia. It is pleasant, but reminds me of a body spray in simplicity. I am disappointed that the citrus isn't longer lasting in a scent called Citrine, but I am glad that I don't have to get the Freesia relaunch from Bath and Body Works. If I was gifted this, I would probably wear it, but I don't think I'll be paying full price to own this one. Great for day wear in spring and summer. UPDATE: Upon rewearing, it feels reminiscent of chemical room/fabric spray. It is pleasant, but I can't wait for it to wear off so I can wear something more inspiring. It also gave me a minor headache and big sneezes, so be careful if you are sensitive to such things.

I have the roller sample. I've tried it multiple times and I just don't like it. I reminds me of dish soap - it literally brings me back to childhood memories of handwashing dishes in the 80s and 90s. Somewhat nostalgic, but not something I would reach for. To me it doesn't smell anything like Light Blue - that is lighter, more crisp, and with a hint of fresh apple.

I bought the rollerball of this blind because someone said it was their favorite from the line. Unfortunately, I don’t really like it. This is a very overpowering and generic floral. I may get a little bit of citrus, but it could just be power of suggestion. On my skin this also had an unpleasant “sharpness” that tickled my nose. I washed it off after an hour.

I was very surprised when I didn't like this on my skin because I loved it out of the rollerball but this was the only scent in the discovery set I got a few years back that I didn't love so I gave it to my roommate and she ended up using the whole thing.

This scent to me feels too mature. Feels like I'm wearing my grandmothers perfume. Compared to other Nest perfumes, I'm not a huge fan.

Nice, but boring. The name is on point - you smell mostly citrus-y notes and not much else.

Overpoweringly floral to the point that you almost can't smell anything when you smell it - you just get that tickle in your noise some fragrances give you.

I'm surprised how much I like this scent. I don't usually enjoy citrus perfumes. They have a tendency to go metallic on me. This was in the brand's sample set so I tried it out just to say I did. Citrine is unexpectedly really beautiful. I suspect it works so well on me because it's really more of a dewy floral scent than a citrus. Still, the lemon blossom is the star here and it's really really pretty. The first spray does have a strong citrus note and is quite sharp. I was nervous this would end up smelling like dish soap or floor cleaner. But, soon the dewy fresh floral comes in and the fragrance balances out, softening quite a bit in a really beautiful way. It reminds me of a refreshing glass of fresh squeezed lemonade surrounded by dewy flowers. My only complaint is the longevity. It lasts a few hours on me. Though, I only have the rollerball, so maybe the spray has better lasting power.
