Dahlia and Vines! Such a gorgeous scent! After trying it at Sephora one day,I knew I had to have it. To me, this instantly takes me to a garden full of flowers, in a slightly cold evening and just after it rained. I can smell the green vines and the flowers which to me they seem just wet by the rain, I've never smelt peonies before, but I know how roses smell and I am not picking up a rose scent at all. All I can smell in this is a very pretty floral, which I guess is the peony, green notes and fruits! I can see where some of you are coming from when you say it seems mature, it does have a grown up, or Elegant vibe to it which might make it feel like it's for mature women,I guess its the musk which is quite noticeable in the fragrance, but I don't mind it at all! It is so beautiful, elegant but still young,and romantic! I just turned 30 so I still consider my self pretty young, but grown up and more as a Women than a girly girl. This might be suitable for women from mid 20's to 30's and up. It is quite strong at first, but soon after it gets so beautiful, so lady-like, very floral and green at the same time. A wonderful experience I had with Dahlia and Vines was when I just bought it, I put some behind my ears and on my wrists, and sat on my bed where my 3 year old daughter was, and she comes towards me.. hugs me.. takes a deep breath.. and hugs me again and sniffs my neck and says " Mama,you smell pretty" she then smiles and keeps snugling on me! I felt this one is going to be a staple of mine! I'm going to use it all winter season that's about to come and I feel it's going to turn into one of my most special and significant scents of all time..

This smells like heaven to me. Period. I ordered the sample originally from scentbird, but knew from reading about it that I would be in love and I am. I now own the sample, a 1.7, a 3.4, and a .17 (got lucky, lucky at a couple ebay auctions). It's definitely floral so all those who shy away from that kind of scent won't like it, but to me it's intoxicating. I get strong peony and that's a great love of mine. The grape they added is sooo unique that it sets it apart from all other florals of this kind. I highly recommend this. Try it through scentbird if you're shy about it and then search ebay a bit for deals otherwise it's a bit pricey.

This is a lovely floral clean and pretty scent. I love it for spring and summer months as well as an after shower and slipping into my pjs. It's very girly and pretty. It does not last that long so I have to have a travel size in my bag to reapply for me it last about 3-4 hrs. I prefer scents that last 5-6hrs but this is such a beautiful scent I don't mind reapplying.

this smells soooo good and lasts great. perfect pink florals. although it is not worth the extremely high price!! many celebrity perfumers make good floral fragrances for a fraction of the price. if you have the money, i would definitely get this. its a great perfume. BUT if you are on a budget i would not splurge on this! just nothing special and not worth it to me

This is such a beautiful floral, green, airy scent. It's a go-to in the spring and summer, especially on very humid days. I gives clean, airy garden and is such an easy wear in professional environments. Not one that will make people cozy up to you, but when you want to feel confident and clean in sweaty weather, this is perfect.

I really like this fragrance. Amidst the many bright floral fragrances that are "in" right now, Dahlia & Vines really stands out. Sweet without being cloying, bright without suffocating, Dahlia & Vines is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a unique daytime fragrance to add to their collection.

This one reminds me of passing by a garden on a balmy summer evening. It's dark, floral, fresh, and dreamy. I'm not a huge fan of florals, I normally find them overwhelming, but this one feels lovely. Definitely a great evening sent, especially on a humid summer evening or after a light summer rain.

This is my favorite nest scent. It's sweet and powdery floral. Of course, I understand that everyone has preferences and this might not be for you. But I love, love the powdery and sweetness of this. It is long lasting and simple. The musk does not give me a headache at all, as many brands do.

This is a lovely blend... the peony and rose are well-balanced and held together by a subtle fresh green note which must be the narcissus. The musk supports the florals and keeps them from becoming too bright. This works well as a casual evening scent and is quite long lasting. Beautiful.

Perfect summer floral. During the summer, I prefer light, flowery scents like Eau d' Chloe and Be Delicious or clean fragrances like Oxygene. Ever a fan of Nest, I think Dahlias and Vines will be a warm weather scent I keep around. It may come across as a little mature to some.

I just picked this out for my birthday. I just get so tired of the deep, dark, and overly dramatic perfumes. Dahlia and vines is a light carefree beautiful springtime rose perfume. I'm going to enjoy wearing this with my new pale yellow Kate spade purse!

Floral cacophany, with hints of sweetness. I like this scent very much, It's like diving headfirst into an oversized bed chockfull of roses and peonies at the peak of their bloom. Very girly but not girlish, if that makes sense.

I have this in my collection and It is one of my favorites. I think it is discontinued though, because it is not on the Nest website anymore, last I looked. But I do love it, it is pretty and light to me, not overbearing.

What a lovely floral, different than anything I've had. Thoughtfully crafted too. No patchouli bomb or no overdone vanilla, just sweet Not too sweet and tangy? Fresh and very feminine, lots of fresh flowers. Love it!

Funny with all the grape smelling perfumes out right now (black opium, missoni, etc..), this one doesnt have a hint of grape at all. This is definitely one of the most beautiful perfumes I've ever smelled

Perfect for Spring. On my skin it pulls very sweet rose as opposed to green that some are mentioning. To me, it teeters on a gourmand. I still enjoy it and think it's a lovely scent.

I love this. It reminds me of Derek Lam's hi-fi, except softer. This is a real winner for me, and is even prospecting for signature spring. It's competition is sky di gioia

I was looking for a nice fragrance with Narcissus and I came across this one, so I blind bought a small bottle. Now I’m not sure how I feel about it. I definitely don’t hate it, but I’m not sure whether I love it or not. My initial reaction right after the first sniff was: “this is great, why didn’t I get a larger bottle?” But that feeling faded away after an hour or so. In fact, Dahlia & Vines opens up fresh floral and musky (I kinda wanna say fruity, but that’s not quite it, the grape is there, but very well blended). I can detect the narcissus and a quieter mix of peonies and roses. It’s very pleasant. Then, after some time, this fragrance just transforms into the most generic feminine rosey-floral-musky scent on my skin. I feel like the dry down is something I smelled in hundreds of other fragrances marketed towards women. And I guess that’s my problem with rose notes. I feel like often times, rose doesn’t give other floral notes the chance to shine. I prefer my fragrances to either be totally about rose or not have rose at all. But I guess maybe that’s what my skin does to fragrances. On clothes, this fragrance stays interesting for a longer time. Final verdict: This is a safe blind buy if you enjoy feminine florals. It is also a veryyyy safe gift. There’s nothing to dislike, the bottle is pretty, the juice smells nice. Just keep in mind that it’s not a super unique scent.

I am wearing this today after putting on rose scented lotion after my shower, thinking it will extend the scent but dammit, it's all but gone! There is a lingering lovely fragrance but not enough for me to enjoy it on myself. I have had it on for no more than 2 hours! I'm soooo glad this was a sample from Sephora to try before I buy, otherwise I would be pissed right about now! I like rose in it as rose is fav of mine, but there IS something a little different in there that is nice too. I see other reviewers mention peony and since I LOVE Jo Malone's Peony Blush and Suede, that must be what is different and while I like it, I cannot honestly say I am getting a full first impression because it's practically GONE! I hope it's just that I have gotten used to the scent and it's still here. My goal is not to wear a scent for others but to wear it as an expression of my mood and state of mind. So, I'm okay with others needing to really be in my personal space to catch a whiff, but I want to actually enjoy it too. I may try it again as the sample was pretty generous so we shall see.

There are roses here, and grape juice. And peony. I know that sounds horrible, but it's not. It's finely tuned and well designed. It's very intriguing. Soft, rosy – but young and fresh. It is sweet, this is a sweet perfume (not sweet like “candy” but it is sweet.) And alcoholic – as if you'd gone to a fancy party wearing rose perfume and accidentally spilled wine on yourself. Like all Nest scents, this is unique. And weird. Whether you want a bit of strange in your perfume is up to you, but you will be unique and be wearing something that probably no one else in the room is wearing. They seemed to have covered all bases: a rose scent, a patchouli scent, a citrus scent, etc. I still have to complete my journey through this line but I am enjoying myself so far. SECOND TRIAL: Actually this is very pleasant. I'm pleased. This really does smell like a mix of red wine and roses. The grape drydown, however, which appears after about two hours, is unpleasant and plastic-smelling. That is why this is not full-bottle worthy.

Finally, a floral for me! White florals and musk smell awful on me, and you'd be surprised how many perfumes have them. I do not get a whiff of musk or grape. There is a depth behind the floral that is probably due to those notes. This is a well blended linear scent. I get a heady but down to earth romantic bouquet. I do not smell rose. The opening is softly green (narcissus/daffodils). The peony is beautiful without smelling like Bath and Body Works. This is a simple but feminine perfume. It makes me feel pretty and natural. I could see wearing this on no make-up days or any occasion when I might need a sundress (garden parties, baby showers, etc). This would also be great as a girl's first perfume to go with a first lip gloss. light, simple, femme, and beautiful. Edit: I never reach for this. Do you ever read perfume reviews and wonder if something is wrong with your own nose that makes it impossible to smell what other reviewers smell? That's me with this fragrance (among others). So maybe it's a skin problem and not a nose problem. To me this is very shallow and linear. I get a strong soapy rose from this, with no fruit or sweetness to add depth and roundness. As with all florals, I have a love/hate relationship with Dahlia & Vines. I just don't think they agree with my skin chemistry, and this is no exception. It's lovely on a cool day but becomes overwhelming and headachy when the temperature rises. Grab this if you love a very expensive-smelling musky rose. Avoid if strong linear florals make you queasy.

A lovely combination of green and fruity floral. I actually blind-bought this from Nordstrom rack, after seeing it was literally half off (and hearing YouTuber Nisipisa mention it was one of her favorite Nest fragrances, and she's never steered me wrong). I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't regret the purchase - it's a fresh, gently romantic scent, almost bubbly (but not soapy). I think the juicy grape notes really help tie together the crisp green notes with the softer floral notes... Dare I say it's one of my favorites? 4.2 out of 5 stars. My current favorite way to wear it is layered over Confessions of a Rebel's "Bite Me", for a sweet scent with juicy green and floral notes.

This one actually smells better on me than it does in the bottle - I always get compliments on it, and when I tell them what it is people are sometimes surprised, since I think Nest Indigo is generally the most popular Nest scent. To me this smells like the name, like a flower garden with ivy (the "vines"). It smells very florally in the bottle, and smells more dewy on the skin. Scent Description: Floral and Green Sillage: Medium, 3-5ft Longevity: Medium/Strong, at least 5hrs Presentation: The same as every other Nest perfume bottle. Feels quite expensive with a soft-coated label. I like how straightforward and elegant it is.

Sniffing directly from my splash bottle I smell the usual faint alcohol and something I can only pick up in scented hairsprays. It isn't by any means unpleasant. Even huffing directly from the bottle it isnt burn-the-nostril strong. I get a sweet fruity scent once its on my skin. There are roses sitting by the fruit juice and those two scents mingle together and make something I have not ever smelled before in any other perfume. There is something cute and young about this fragrance but at no point did it smell cheap. It's sophisticated in its simplicity and I think any woman could pull this off.

Dahlia & Vines is a very romantic scent that makes me think of playing Chopin Nocturnes in the summertime. To my nose this is a "yellow" floral, but, (thankfully for me) no freesia screeches through the delicate balance. This has the mood of Bond No. 9 Chelsea Flowers, or iconic Jessica McClintock perfumes. I feel joy when I smell this on others, because it's quite lovely. It's wonderful when such an exceptional fragrance become popular, because it roots signature moments in time like nothing else. I think Dahlia & Vines will be redolent of dreamy memories for a long time.

Just like an English garden. Imagine you're walking past mossy, vine-covered stone walls flanked by peonies. The mossy undertone of this scent points to the "vines" part of the name. I get mostly floral though; if there is rose, it is a different kind than I'm used to. Timelessly feminine. I got it as part of a set and almost gave it away as it's not particularly my style, but it smells just like a novelty perfume I had as a child. Will probably use from time to time in spring and summer.

I love the smell of this perfume from the bottle. It is a light & green scent that is very fresh and unique. However, on my skin it turns very sweet & a bit heavy. It is not by any means bad but it smells like a completely different perfume (and one I like a bit less). Dahlia & vines mostly keeps its original lightness when sprayed on my clothes but I wish that it didn't change so much on my skin :(. I will have to test it a few more times to see if it is worth keeping.

So pretty and unique. It's fresh, but in a soft way, not at all bright or sharp. It has a dewy earthiness that makes it smell very natural, like flowers in the forest after rain. I normally don't even like anything with rose in it, but I think the "garden vines" aspect balances the rose and keeps it from becoming too strong/sweet. This is a truly beautiful scent that will be perfect for spring!

A delicate, unobtrusive floral. If I were more drawn to florals this is the type I would buy. I smell the grapes from the top, a nice touch, though they subdue themselves quickly leaving a drydown that's soft, only mildly sweet, and as fresh as the Spring. It reminds me of pleasant times in Napa Valley.

Very pretty, clean floral. Would recommend if you like Daisy and flankers. Edit: it actually gets more interesting the longer you wear it. I still think it's a safe blind buy for those who like clean, delicate and/or fresh floral scents, but there are more layers to it than I'd initially thought.

What first attracted me to this brand was the beautiful artwork on the bottles. The scents are nothing groundbreaking, but very pleasant for casual wear. This one is linear, mostly peony and grape on me with a touch of rose and some greenery. Nice for spring and summer daytime wear.

This is peonies and grapes for me, which on my skin blends to something like very soft violet with a light powdery finish. No rose anywhere on me. Just gently sweet slightly fruity floral. I like this for daytime. It's soft and pretty.

Very inoffensive and light, it does give me a lot of Bright Crystal vibes, I wonder why there are so few votes for it :) It is great for a casual workday at the office or running to a grocery store, great for all ages I think.

There's something I can't place in this floral. It's a lovely scent but it is austere and clean. Not a hint of fruitiness. Not in the least cloying. I think it would be a great scent for the workplace - inoffensive and fresh.

I really like this scent. It is complex and feminine. I don't feel like this is a straight forward rose scent, but it does have a good mix of floral and green to keep it fresh. Love the bottle!

A nice sharp rose floral that feels mature, but not old-fashioned or overwhelming. It's still on my arms after 6 hours. Has moderate sillage.

I usually love Nest, particularly Jerome Epinette, but my enchantment with this one - literally - turned sour. I got this as a rollerball in a big discovery set. When I first tried Dahlia & Vines, i was delighted. I have a newly established obsession with "green" and "fresh florals" so I thought this would be perfect. Rose, peony and musk usually vibe very well with my skin. But something about the acidity of the grape, and perhaps even the animalic undertones of narcissus, turned into something unpleasant after about 30 minutes in the summer heat. i smelled like a burp. a sour, heartburn-burp. like that sickly sweet acid burp you get after eating tomato soup. this was really surprising to me. I have a very clean, plant-based diet and even my sweatiest body odor is just vaguely salty, and usually does not clash with any perfume. But perhaps rose + salt = tomato. Maybe this perfume would fair better if I were fresh out of the shower, or decided to wear it on a cooler day. But I was really and truly disappointed that this didn't evoke the constant powdery, floral freshness that i see everyone else talking about.

The bottles this brand has are just beautiful, and I wish the scents (so far) lived up to them. This is a simplistic peony/rose/geranium type of scent along with a general juicy fruitiness. Not unpleasant whatsoever, but oh so very familiar and done already. It has a sweet, common musky base. It's quite clean. Nothing about this at all smells vine-y, or even stemmy. I had hoped it would be slightly green, it's not 😔 This is the height of inoffensiveness, and I'll probably save my samples to wear to the gym. Longevity is average, sillage is quite low. This is one that you could go through bottles of and never receive a compliment on (not that that matters, but if it gives you an idea...).

I don't gravitate toward these straight-up floral scents, but I got a Nest sampler, so of course I have to try them all. To me, this smells very strongly of peony, rose, and not such else. Seems more complex in the bottle than it does on my skin - I detect a note of greenery when I remove the cap, but it doesn't last. It's technically pretty, but it reminds me of strong, department store soap and gives me a headache. Sillage and lasting power seem a little above average for Nest, but I prefer close-to-the-skin scents so it's double not for me.

At first, this fragrance seems to open as its title describes--fresh, sharp, green, flowery. However, a couple hours later, it dries to a fruity sweetness that veers too close to artificial grape for my liking. Its sillage is moderate, and the waft with every movement of my arms has begun to make me slightly nauseous. I'll be scrubbing this one off for today.

I honestly don't smell any of the notes listed. It's far more green than I anticipated. It doesn't smell bad... but it wasn't what I was hoping for either. I may try to layer it with my Nest Turkish Rose oil to see if that helps (hey, I have it so why not figure out a way to love it)!

Smells good when you spray it, I just do not think it works for me. When it dried down it smelled like sour flowers. Soo sour and sharp.

On me, this starts off as a big white floral. I don't usually care for heavy floral, but this actually dries down to a pretty, gentle floral with a touch of sweetness. Even if it dries down to a lighter scent, this scent stays with you for a long time; this whole line has a pretty good longevity which I can appreciate. I think there is something for everyone with these Nest perfumes releasing soon as Sephora, so they are definitely worth testing. Kind of a subtle, typical flower scent. Rosy, soft, and soapy. Like a just-used bath towel. People can only smell it if they hug you. The scent progresses like this: ROSE (It's more rose than peony) Peony Barely-there bit of musk, I think Definite hint of grape sweetness in the dried state, but you'd never call it that unless you read the notes here. I blind-bought this in a discounted set. So sadly, I must say: I wouldn't actually buy it. But then again, it doesn't smell BAD. So I'm keeping it.

If you love peony, this might be for you. If you love rose, you may want to try this. On the other hand, I admire and enjoy sniffing these flowers, but do not love them in perfumes where they take center stage, and the peony here has a big ole spotlight on it. Rose is trying masterfully nudge it aside. It's all just too much for me, and I will not be attending any repeat performances.

On me, this is peony and rose and nothing more. While I like both flowers, I prefer to have an effective base note, or some citrus, or some spiciness, or freshness, or something (anything!) to accompany it. If you want a straight up floral, this could be for you. On me it is too simplistic and lacks the complexity I prefer in a fragrance.

This is not offensive and is very straight forward. However, it makes me sneeze, so it's not for me personally. I'll also say it's very, very just the floral nose - there is nothing else here. So, if you're looking for a more complex floral, this won't be a winner for you.

This is one of the worst named scents I've found. Dahlias and vines makes me think of autumn and and I would have expected a very green and earthy floral. That doesn't begin to describe this soft and sweet floral. There is a sweet creaminess that is unexpected with the listed notes. My first thought was roses and Strawberry Shortcake. There is a sweet fruitiness that reminds me of strawberry candy and doll skin. The peony and Rose is primary and its grounded in green-ness that keeps it from being a "pretty princess floral." All and all it's quite pleasant. =-=-=--=-= I think I'm starting to understand this. The narcissus, rose, peony, and grape do combine to create something similar to dahlias. The scent of dahlias is green and borders on pungent. I was expecting a hint of that. Instead we have a frutichouli (Im pretty sure I detected a bit of patchouli) that is wet and green and somehow manages to be reminiscent of the flower's scent. Its dahlia glammed up and dressed in pink ribbons. It reminds me of summer weddings and all the brides who want peonies but use dahlias instead because they are out of season.
