Indian Jasmine Perfume Oil

A very lovely spring/summer scent in a bottle, for sure. At the time I sampled this last year, I found it unlike anything in my current collection. I wound up leaving the store and couldn't stop thinking of the pink pepper note for the rest of the evening. It almost drove me nuts when the scent on my wrists finally wore off. I had wanted to keep smelling the dry-down for as long as possible. Wound up buying the travel size, and was very happy with it. It lasted me up until fall, which I found good timing to phase into autumn scents. Admittedly, I went through it fairly fast. It's a very quiet, easily dissipating scent-- a terrible combination when you want to continue enjoying it. I found myself keeping it close so I could reapply for the guilty pleasure of simply smelling it whenever I liked. As far as the profile goes, I would say there wasn't (and still isn't) anything particularly 'show-stopping' about this one, especially it’s weak longevity. But its simplicity is easy to admire. (I disagree with those who've commented on it smelling similar to Burberry's 'Her', however. When I was curious about finding a longer-lasting version of this oil, I sampled Her and found the two very different.) Now, several months later and returning to spring/summer months, I wound up sampling IJ again to see if my mind was changed on the profile. Unfortunately, I might have outgrown it. There's something now a little cloying about it, and I'm a little disappointed that the initial impression of the scent won't return to me. Whether a difference in formula, or a change in my nose, I couldn't say. But gosh, was it lovely on the first whiff. I love when that happens. If my nose and heart can find their way back to this one, I hope I can find a perfume with a similar and longer-lasting composition.

Smells delicious. Suitable for everyday casual wear or for special occasions because it's pretty inoffensive but it's just so lovely!! This is very much juicy berries with a jasmine undertone. It's lightly sweet and juicy. Lasts for about 3-4 hours on me with intimate to moderate projection. Definitely overpriced (not great longevity or sillage, scent is fairly basic), but it smells so good that I'm willing to pay for it. Editing at a later date to add that this is remarkably similar to the Burberry Her opening. Indian Jasmine is more linear, it stays a fairly juicy sweet berry and jasmine, perhaps loses a bit of the juice in the drydown. I can't smell Burberry Her's drydown since I an anosmic to the Cloud/Her/BR540 DNA. So while this does not have the Baccarat/Cloud/Her drydown, it smells very similar to the juicy sweet floral berry opening of Her. The main differences between the Her opening and Indian Jasmine are that Indian Jasmine does not have the distinct strawberry note, and is more subdued/softer in general.

I like several of Nest’s perfume oils, but this is my favourite by far. The jasmine in it is pronounced, but, as others have noted, well-balanced by the fruits and pink pepper. It’s very soft, feminine, inoffensive. Sweet, but not dizzying or candy-like. The sillage is very intimate — this is an oil, so it will not necessarily diffuse as much as other perfumes will — however, the lasting power is eternal. On the skin, or on clothes where it has rubbed off, the scent lingers on and on. On clothes, in particular, it is impressive. I wore this perfume to a hockey game last April and had my favourite jersey on. I have not worn the jersey since, but with the new season starting, I took it out, and it still smells of this perfume.

There's a note in jasmine that I get here and also in BBW Sea (jasmine and eucalyptus oil) that smells just like watermelon bubblegum. I love it, and it's a nostalgic smell that evokes a carefree summer, but it also feels a little childish. That's why I took a little time to purchase....surely I'm too grown up for such things, especially at a premium price. But then I thought, why not? Why should I splurge on sophistication and skimp on joy if joy is really the goal? Life is too short for that nonsense. This is a joyful scent, plain and simple.

I blind bought this when my previous perfume (I wear one at a time) was pulled from the US. This is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely sweet but not headache sweet. It’s juicy and floral and gives a timeless, delicate vibe. I like scents that sit relatively close to my skin and I don’t like my perfume to enter a room before I do. This also lasts longer than my previous perfume. This is my new signature scent. When I like something I buy multiples. I tried it for the firs time two days ago and I now have 10. I’m obsessed.

I agree with everyone else; the drydown smells a lot like Burberry Her. I tried the body mist and it didn't smell like it on drydown IMO. But the oil - definitely. I'm also surprised melon is not in the notes. To me, it smells a lot like Calone melon at the opening (which I like). It also reminds me of Clean Reserve H2eau Water Lotus. Overall I like it a lot.

My current favorite fragrance! In my opinion, this blows every other Nest perfume out of the water. Unfortunately, I cannot smell it on myself for nearly as long as random strangers can. And that's only a couple hours. Addictive nonetheless. It smells like a fruity candy that I can't get enough of.

The perfume oils from Nest are meant to be layered (in my opinion, anyway) and this one is stunning when layered with Giorgio Armani Sì! I work in fragrance at a department store and I have a habit of making my coworkers smell perfumes I'm trying on and this combination was a universal hit :)

I’m so bad at describing scents, but i like this a lot more than i thought i would! It smells like spring-time in a bottle. It’s really clean and reminds me of a spa, or when you go to macy’s/sephora and the air just smells clean and like expensive perfume lol

It's very floral and indolic. I am getting a hint of watermelon somehow though. Like the freshness of calone or a watermelon ester that gets used in watermelon-flavoured candies. Sillage is moderate, longevity is about 12 hours on me.

This is delicious, ripe berries and jasmine, so beautiful, and it layers with other fragrances really well. The fruit is not candy, but real ripe fruit, juicy. Probably the best of the 50 plus perfumes I have recently tried/bought.

Lovely scent. I use the travel roller. The jasmine can be overpowering at times, so I wouldn't recommend applying too much. It's strong and lasts a moderate amount of time.

I'm starting to become such a fan of the nest oils :) this one smells perfectly sweet and clean... when I wear it, I smell like I have been slathered in expensive lotion.

This is my everyday scent. I oscillate between a few different perfumes but I wear this so often this is the closest to a signature scent that I have.

beautiful i grew up drinking various different types of green tea. my favorite was jasmine green tea. this reminds me of a warm cup of fragrant tea.

A smooth fruity jasmine. Delicious

I bought the discovery set of these oils in the hopes that they may add a unique smell mixed with some of my other fragrances. I also hope it extends the life of some. Jasmine was one I didn’t think I would try because too much Jasmine makes me sick. I read a review that said the red berries really smooth out the jasmine edges... boy were they right. So far, this is the favorite of this set of nest oils with Turkish rose close behind. I haven’t tried the coconut yet. This set does not come with the sandalwood oil🙈. Jasmine is the first one I actually see myself buying a full size bottle of.

The Nest oils are great for layering or even on their own. This one starts off a little “much” for me, and I love Jasmine, but it dries down to a lovely quiet night blooming jasmine smell. I don’t get much of the other notes. The dry down reminds me of the jasmine in Donna BiR and shockingly I do get some Burberry Her vibes? That’s what I chose to layer with the oil and they go together well. This one doesn’t last forever on me or project a lot but that is okay too.

OK this stuff does smell absolutely amazing. It’s like the best of floral and juicy berries that’s out there right now however, it doesn’t really stay on your skin for long. I got this because I thought that a perfume oil should be stronger than EDT or EDP but this one while smelling lovely just doesn’t last that long. I wish it lasted longer or maybe they offered a scented lotion or something I could layer with it.

Apparently this perfume has jasmine, berries, and pink pepper. I believe none of it, because I was surprised by each of the ingredients. On me, it smells like warm, cozy, exotic juice- like someone bottled a lush, tropical garden under a scorching sun. Everyone who smells me says something different, which makes me think it might be a personality test in a bottle. It is especially comforting on a rainy day.

I’m not usually a floral girly (I gravitate towards woody/fruity), but this is such a light, versatile scent perfect for layering with just about anything as so many perfumes contain jasmine. My favorite of this line is still the Turkish Rose oil but this will certainly get plenty of use too!

I was nervous for this because pink pepper can be pretty strong on my skin, but it's almost non existent in this scent. It's a simple, berry-sweet floral that's perfect for spring. Update: gifted this to my bestie, and she adores it, especially when layered with Turkish Rose

This perfume makes me sad. I really liked it at first but after only a few days of wearing it the scent started to make me feel nauseous. I think it's the jasmine but honestly I couldn't tell you why it happened. A beautiful scent but try it for a bit before you buy.

A confusing experience for my unskilled nose, as between each time I smell it the scent completely changes, fluxuating between sickly B&BW sweetness and a gentle, warm jasmine scent. I like how it lingers on me, but it loses its scent radius after a while.

Stunning jasmine scent, i get it much stronger then the red berries note but I like it that way, the red berries i get is just that nice sweetness almost sticky sweet with the white floral notes. stunning scent

I was pleasantly surprised by this! It’s such a soft cozy and buttery Jasmine scent. I don’t get much fruit.

this is a coddled jasmin. sweet and fruity. good for lasting. it puts a smile on my face. it’s ok.

2000s BBW raspberry lotion. +6 nostalgia buff. 💖

Citrusy, with a juicy, slightly sour strawberry smell in the top, sweet raspberry, and fresh, spicy pink pepper. As it dries, the jasmine comes forward. Subtly indolic, with a warmth and sweetness, but this is more of a fresh jasmine. The musks are not dirty, they are wispy, fresh and very clean. I think there may be ambrox in the base, but it was hard to tell inside of Ulta. Ambrox is everywhere and used in seemingly everything these days. Not anything like Burberry Her. That perfume has no jasmine, it's a fruity, sugary ambrox sucker punch. This jasmine oil is fruity and indolic, but it does not have the artificial spun sugar smell of perfumes like Burberry Her.

A very fruity jasmine. In fact it’s mostly fruity. I thought I loved this at first (Jasmine is one of my favorite notes). It’s not a bad scent & staying power is great ~ 8 hours. But there is a fecal smell when I use this that does not go away. That ruins it for me. If you’re thinking of buying this, I would test it on your skin before you commit.

This was an interesting experience. I don't love jasmine, but I got this in a sample pack so I tried it. I the fruitiness of this REALLY balances out the jasmine. It's a little harsh initially, but I'm okay with the way it dries down. The pink pepper base note is so fun to smell! But, I'll definitely be layering this scent.

I find this fragrance to be a bit too sweet for me, with a weaker silage and longevity. If you're looking for something strikingly similar, with a better silage, I would suggest Burberry Her. They smell incredibly identical when side to side.

What a lovely take on jasmine! It can be an overpowering note on its on, but this one really balances it out with the fruit. However, I think I am allergic to it, because it made my skin pucker up. Shame.

This is very heavy on the red berries. A very juicy fruity scent w/ a little sour note, along w/ a peppery note. Not really digging this one, would've liked more jasmine in the mix.

I got this in a discovery set with four other rollerballs. I knew before putting it on that I probably wouldn’t like it, as I’m not a fan of jasmine as a main note. Unfortunately for me, my nose doesn’t detect any berries or pepper at all. It’s just pure jasmine for me. I have to layer this with other perfumes to use it up; it’s a bit “old lady” on my skin. I just used the South Pacific Sandalwood oil (from the same set) on top of it to make it bearable. Next time I’ll layer it with Turkish Rose to see how those two get along.

I was really looking forward to smelling this perfume because I love a good jasmine perfume but was very disappointed to find that it smelled sweet and fruity, so much so that it masked any hint of a jasmine smell. Even in the initial spray, I could not smell jasmine and as I wore it for the night, I kept smelling the hint of sweetness around me and frankly, it disgusted me. Not for me, but glad I'm getting closer to finding my preferences.

I wanted to like this so bad because I love Nest and I usually love jasmine but for some reason I keep getting a diaper smell from this :(

This is dirty grimy poo Jasmine, and it’s disgusting. But if you love it, it’s eternal.

smelled a hint of poop and couldn't unsmell it.

I think the name is very misleading; I can smell the jasmine after the top note has worn off, but jasmine isn’t the “star” note so to speak. Additionally, I find the scent to be very berry in a synthetic, cough-syrup way. When I smelled it, I thought of cheap children’s cherry chapstick. This wears off and the scent becomes less offensive later, but even that scent isn’t special or surprising to me. Lastly, as with their sandalwood fragrance, I get a distinct scent that I can only call rubbery or like latex. I have no idea if that’s the medium or the fragrance. I have their orange fragrance and I absolutely adore it, and it doesn’t have the rubbery smell anywhere. Projection is very good, like their orange fragrance, especially for an oil, a few drops really fill up a room. I can’t say for sure how long it lasts past an hour (because I went and washed it off after I felt I’d gotten a sense of how it smells after it develops) but their orange scent lasts a very long time on me (4+ hours, dry skin) and this projects as strong as the orange one. I make these comparisons to their sandalwood fragrance (definitely less projection) and my Maison Louis Marie No 4 perfume oil (significantly less projection and longevity).

I really, really want to like this perfume. It smells amazing out of the bottle - floral, exotic, and sweet - and I keep finding myself giving it a test sniff at the store. I’m so glad I tested this on me before committing to a bottle though. It does not sit well on my skin and I kinda get what someone said about dirty diapers. I would liken it to an animalistic quality when sitting on my skin. It smells kind of like a rainforest in the worst ways with an almost fecal undertone to it. It loses all the initial qualities I liked about it once applied to the skin. Maybe the spray will be distant, but the oil just does not work for me

I have sampled this a couple of times during my jasmine phase and at first whiff, this is a blast of pure jasmine, juicy, fresh, and deep. It knocks you on your ass in a good way. Sadly it fades to something altogether different. Very green, very sour and sort of oily. The drydown was so unpleasant I couldn't justify buying it. I don't get the ",poop" note others have mentioned and I definitely wouldn't call it linear. I wish it didn't turn because the opening is one of the best Jasmine's I've ever smelled.

there is a pungent sweetness to the drydown of this oil that evokes animality and decay. i was shocked at first, disgusted, and then i couldn't stop thinking about it. the pungent sweetness works with the clear and pure jasmine note in a stunning way: i am reminded of the streets of my city at night. there is garbage and there is the smell of night-blooming flowers. it is close to my heart

opening is good and very fresh smelling until you get a whiff of straight shat. I think it may be the pink pepper, ive noticed with my other fragrances like Valentino born in roma which has a strong pink pepper note, that the dry down starts to smell like feces, which is sad because I actually really like pink pepper in fragrance

This is a nice easy going scent. It’s more fruity than actual Jasmine which makes it a bit synthetic smelling but it is a nice base to layer with. It is good to layer with other fruity or floral perfumes. I can smell it on me for a good 4 hours or so. The oil itself feels very smooth and luxurious which is nice.

as far as jasmine scents go, this is a solid middle tier fragrance. It’s bright, it’s slightly fruity, and it’s not overly green or dark. It’s the kind of jasmine perfume I would wear to go on a spring picnic or brunch. I like it, but there are better jasmines on the market

This really brings me back to 2000's and reminds me of designer and celebrity perfumes, specifically, my beloved promesse by cacharel. This is a very playful and girly berry floral, but definitely not a jasmine mono scent.

I'm a basic b and LOVE juicy scents! This is yummy, warm, "kiwi", youthful-- but nothing too unique. This is a juicy, warm vanilla oil. I got a little tester but def would never shell out the $95 for this tiny bottle.

Sometimes I just can’t with the “reminds me of” section. This is a Jasmine fragrance oil, and the “reminds me of” votes are for burberry her which has zero jasmine, and smells nothing like this jasmine oil.

Lovely. A beautiful clean Jasmine that is not at all indolic. It is however, very sweet. Longevity and projection are minimal but this is great to layer over.
