Turkish Rose Perfume Oil

Basics first--this is very strong smelling on a test strip but it dies on my skin and isn't very strong or particularly long-lasting, I'm guessing it just doesn't jive well with my skin chemistry. It still lasts well enough that I'm enjoying wearing it but I do have to put my nose right on my skin to smell it. Right now I've got Turkish Rose perfume oil on my left wrist and a spritz of my sample of Ellis Brooklyn Rrose on my right, I'll do a bit of compare-contrast. Rrose is I would say a more standard rose perfume, smells like what you'd expect, very sweet floral, a true floral-floral? A very standard "perfume" smell if that makes sense. I like it alright, it's well balanced and likes my skin. Now to contrast: Turkish Rose is a less standard rose smell, which is what I like about it, and I'll do my best to explain what I mean. I wasn't sure what I was smelling at first in addition to the rose but now that I see plum listed as one of the notes I can pick that out a bit. The rose scent itself is. Hm I'm not sure what the right words are, but almost less floral while still being a floral. Closer to having an herbal type smell than the extremely flowery true floral scent you usually expect from rose scents--but, again, it's recognizable as rose, it is floral and not herbal, just a different approach to how rose is most commonly treated? Maybe the word I'm looking for is it's more fruity actually? The closest I can get is that this smells more like a growing rose on the bush rather than the dreamlike, idealized version of rose usually used in perfume. Smells like a darker pink to me. Hope that made sense.

This smells delicious. I hate rose in general; it typically smells like cat pee on me and gets super screechy. This one lets the rose mellow out a bit; it smells like a ripe berry with rose as an afterthought. I think it's the plum in the notes that's keeping this one smelling sweet and not screechy. It's like Tresor Midnight Rose or Mugler Angel Nova without the stinky artificial smoke in both of those fragrances. This one is just clean rose, juicy and ripe plum with enough woodsiness to keep it cozy. It lasts long enough but my main gripe is its sillage is basically 2 inches. It's unfortunate because this is a perfect all-day all-weather fragrance. I love it but there are better values out there. Update: this smells so amazing I might just have to get a bottle. And this is coming from someone who HATES rose scents. It reminds me of Herbal Essences (the OG pink bottle) but in the best way--clean and green and fresh and just enough fruit/sweetness to keep it going. I also re-tested this recently and it has a very light almond/marzipan thing going on in the beginning, which is part of the allure. It smells slightly edible/delicious. Poor sillage might be fixed by layering products.

I'm not a big fan of rose scented perfumes, so when I smelled this for the first time, I was surprised of how much I loved it. It opens up with the sweet notes you get from the plum, but then the freshness from the rose comes through. The sweetness isn't overpowering; It won't leave you smelling like a teenager. It is also not super florally and mature, where you end up smelling like a grandmother. The reason I love this scent so much is because it's a floral scent that isn't accompanied with citrus or spices, just sweetest. It's simple, soft, and feminine. This combination of a fruity/sweet rose perfume is so hard to find, which leads to me why I am disappointed with Nest. There's absolutely no sillage and the longevity, quite frankly, is extremely terrible given the price. Which is appalling because 1. all my Nest perfumes projects and last all day and 2. oil perfumes are known for being strong and staying on. I'm so sad because I finally found a rose scent that I am absolutely in love with, but in order to smell it, I have to put my wrist or shirt to my nose. I really hope Nest decides to make this into a spray bottle (a girl can only dream).

So, here I was, fully prepared to have buyer’s remorse, ready to curse Sephora for getting me, yet again, with their 20% off sale. It just got delivered, and I‘d already made plans to return this at lunchtime. I’m here thinking to myself, “Seriously.... Who buys rose oil? Is this 1940? Are you okay? You don’t even like rose. ” Then I said, “Well... it’s already here.... let me just open it up and see.” (The fragrance junkie in me strikes again.) I open the box. First thing out of my mouth: “DAMN this is delicious!” This is not the typical, dated rose oil scent that everyone seems to hate and complain about. THIS baby is rose 2.0! Maybe even 3.0. It’s fresher, brighter, juicier, more inviting, and believe it or not, sexier! Quick note: The box says it includes “hints of saffron” but it’s not listed on Fragrantica’s notes profile. I think it’s the saffron that makes a huge difference in upgrading this fragrance to smell so luscious. I want it all over meeeee! Edit: Reading some of the other reviews, I think it’s safe to classify this as a rose-inspired rose for those who don’t like traditional rose. A rose for the anti-rose nose, if you will.

WOW. I love this! A warm rose that is cozy and comforting with whispers of fruit jam. I do not pick out plum unless I am actively searching for it. The faint jammy fruitiness is in the background. However note, this is not a fruit forward perfume, this is a rose perfume. BUT the whisper of sweet jam adds this unexpected element to the perfume oil that makes the rose smell so delicious, slightly sweet and warm to my nose. The rose profile itself is a beautiful and natural rose scent, not at all artificial or loud. A spa-time rose. A lot of rose-forward perfumes can lean mature, but this is so delicious smelling and modern that I could see women in their early 20s enjoying this. Of all of my rose centered perfumes this is the one that I would reach for in the colder months. Or a night time rose fragrance. Really you could wear it anytime, it is that yummy. If you are a fan of rose, this is a great one to pick up. One of my new favorites.

This is a beautiful perfume. Sweet, uplifting, fruity, jammy rose - not a ‘green’ or screechy one, like the ones that that are so common out there. It’s super feminine, smells clean and puts you in a good mood. I would even classify it as ‘regal’ smelling. I put a small drop of oil on my wrist and was surprised how much sillage it had - I nearly had to lower my car windows because it smelled so much! It’s my first experience with perfume oils and I’m truly impressed by the strength and longevity. Also love that it doesn’t have the harsh chemicals that many other perfumes have (like phthalates). For those that say it shares similarities with PDM’s Delina (which I used to own), I definitely see a resemblance - it just doesn’t have the tart/sour notes. It would work beautifully as a base layer for that one. Excited to wear this over the cold winter months - it’ll be the bright part of my day.

This has been my go-to perfume recently. As a Turk, I was of course initially drawn to the title of "Turkish Rose" but this perfume genuinely makes me feel like I'm starring in a Turkan Soray film. There's something super nostalgic about it which reminds me of my childhood memories in Turkiye. I love rose scents but they're very hard to get right--they either feel too clean or artificial or too old, but this strikes a perfect balance between fresh, wearable, and cozy without any of those negative associations. I couldn't stop smelling my wrists once I put it on. It has very intimate sillage but it lasts for very long, making up for it. It's amazing to layer with other perfumes and I'm keen to try layering it with some more peppery ones in my collection.

As someone else stated my Scent Memory with Rose is Old Lady Vibes; and for the Longest I’ve stayed away from Floral Scents because of that “Old Dated” vibe a lot of them give off. But I’ve been expanding my Horizons & Collection and decided to get this Scent in a Travel Size. Which is what I do now before committing to a full size bottle and OMG is it good! I purchased Delina PDM a few Months ago and was blown away by it because again I don’t like Rose but this maybe a bit better IMO it’s a Sweet Woodys Rose. I really really like this one! I do plan on Mixing it with Delina that’s why I got it but I got confirmation from below that it’ll be wonderful. Definitely worth a Sniff!

This is my favorite out of the perfume oil collection. The plum and rose play well together from the start. The white woods are chillin in the background, grounding the other notes so they don’t float away. It’s a simple, linear scent, and all of these oils are skin scents in my experience, but this one just smells so playfully romantic. I am generally a fan of rose scents, and this is no exception. I would buy a full sized bottle of this if it were deeply discounted, as these notes are 100% up my alley, and oils are great when you don’t want to choke someone out with alcohol-based sprays. 😇

i'm typically someone who wears sweet gourmands, but lately i have been interested in venturing into the world of roses after falling in love with the candied rose dry-down of burberry her edt. i needed to find something that similar! in my search, many popular rose perfumes i tried (pdm's delina, jo malone's red roses) have made my head hurt. my search led me to this, and it's safe to say that it ends here. this smells SO much like the dry-down of burberry her edt! the plum in this is so so pretty, and it feels so luxurious to use... although it's very expensive, a little goes a long way.

Is it overpriced? Yes. Will I buy it anyways? Also yes. I'm not normally a rose fan because I feel most rose perfumes smell powdery and dated and stuffy. This is not that. This is super fruity and bright and fresh, like if you plucked a rose straight from a garden that has a bunch of ripe fruit hanging off the tree above them. I think this is a perfect modern rose smell and I've worn it like 4 days in a row now. I think I'll likely try layering it with other things as well, I tend to lean towards super fresh green scents and I think this would be a great base for some of those.

man was this a love at first sniff for me. got a sample from sephora with an order some time ago and my next order (within a week later) included a full bottle of this absolutely gorgeous oil. i just tested it again and one drop covered my whole knee (other frags on my arms lol) so a little goes a loooong way. this is not an overpowering rose imo so i think it's perfect for layering with mist/spray perfumes as a base for some extra oomph. the plum and woods balance everything out perfectly and this baby has staying power, especially on clothes and hair. big chef's kiss.

I’ve been enjoying the sweeter side of rose, lately. Turkish Rose does a great job of satisfying this craving. I want to layer this with Delina on top. As bpurs001 stated, it does have something within it that reminds me of br540 or cloud that’s only apparent in the drydown. Not in any way are they similar fragrances, it’s just a ‘molecule’ or something... That doesn’t bother me, but I believe it lends to the staying power. Anyway, I want this all over. I am loving it!

i love! i got recommended this scent and i thought it was going to smell like rose essential oil or straight up a rosebud. it actually smells like a gentle fruity rose. i was surprised to see that the fruit is plum, it wasn’t abrasive and i wasn’t able to read it, i just got a sweet fruity fragrance from it. easy to wear, it’s very soft. i really love how delicate it is, but i wish it lasted longer. especially for a fragrance oil 4 hours was not enough wear time...

I loveeee this oil!! I got it from the discovery set and I’m so obsessed with it. It’s lasted me such a long time so far, too. This is very sweet for a rose, but not in a gourmand sort of way. To me, the plum smells more like lychee. In my opinion, it’s very similar to the Nest perfume lychee rose, which is lighter and sweeter than this one. This will get you compliments even from people who say they don’t like rose. Very pretty

Ok, like the reviewer below, I ordered this because of the great reviews but fully expected to return it because I am NOT a fan of rose. However, I was looking for perfume oils for layering and decided to give this one a shot. Well, this is not your grandma’s rose. It’s soft, sweet, and youthful. I can’t wait to layer this with some of the perfumes in my collection like Sol de Janiero 40 and Ellis Brooklyn Myth.

I bought this in early 2021 and it's still my go to. Turkish Rose is not a traditional rose smell and is more fruity, I usually wear floral gourmand or gourmand so I was surprised I'd like a more floral fragrance. When I picked it up in the store, I instantly fell in love with it. A lot of times floral fragrances are too sweet or too musky for my liking.

Juicy plum rose with a warm woody base. I'm learning that I actually do like rose scents, so long as they are high quality and bolstered by warm woodiness. There's so much about this I don't typically like - plum opening, ultra feminine rose, candy sweetness - but for some reason I love this. A great flirty option for a date on a hot summer evening.

I only ever had the tiny vial from the discovery set but I loved it so much I made it last as long as I could. The most unique rose I've ever smelled, the plum comes out more jammy than floral. A lot of people have said this is more of a daytime scent but being completely honest this was my sex perfume lol. Would repurchase.

Beautiful scent. I fell in love with it right away. Used it for about two months but noticed it’s not long lasting. Maximum 2-3 hours and I won’t smell anything. Then slowly I started getting tired of the scent and the fact that I need to reapply so often. Also, it’s too expensive for an oil that barely lasts 2 hours.

turkish rose is such a treat! i'm usually not one for linear rose-water type rose scents, but this is blended so nicely with the subtle plum and wood notes adding a warm, fruity softness. it's also great for layering!! i combined it with the nemat sandalwood fragrance oil and it was soooo gorgeous:) great work, nest!

I unexpectedly fell in love with this scent after trying the body mist, and luckily procured the full size oil recently on a resell site. This is very appealing for folks that prefer sweeter scents and are trying to dabble in to florals. It’s a juicy, simple rose and plays well with other rose fragrances.

Very fruity rose, but not cloying. I don't get woody notes, but it is very incensy. Turkish rose is most prominent but there is a tart fruit that comes close second. I recognize the plum from Indigo by the same house. This is good for layering.

M’y favorite of the nest fragrances, I love rose scents and turkish rose is so beautiful and fresh and sweet unlike classic rose which is more powdery. Love this scent on its own and layered, it’s my favorite perfume oil in ny collection

Went on a perfume smelling excursion today at Sephora and I was blown away by how beautiful this was. Such a pretty, fragrant, classy rose. Not dated or too mature whatsoever. I don't own any perfume oils but this might be my first.

Smells so close to Delina! I would say this is more worth it than getting Delina for the price point. It's a beautiful rose scent that is light yet slightly intoxicating. It's great to layer with floral perfumes

Layer this with Delina PDM, and you will get the most beautiful and sweet combo ever. I receieved compliments from a guy the other day at a store. He said "whatever you are wearing, it smells so good!"

Didn't expect to like this one as much as I do! It's not as rose-y as other rose scents. I think the wood and the plum balance it out nicely. I'll definitely be wearing this in the future!

I am in love! It's a soft rose, but the plum note keeps it juicy and fresh. My husband prefers the Indian Jasmine, but I would bathe in this scent if I could!

It smells a lot like Kayali Eden Sparkling Lychee! But I think I like this one slightly more because it doesn't smell too much like hard candy.

I’ve been layering this with Kayali Deja Vu and it’s a divine combo for daytime/work.

i normally don’t like rose fragrances, but this one is truly delightful! i have the tiny rollerball of this and i carry it in my bag so that if i ever forget to put on perfume before i leave the house, i can pop some of this on and instantly smell good. if you sniff it right from the rollerball, it smells like the most romantic, idealized version of a rose you could ever smell. if aphrodite herself came out of the sea in her giant clamshell and handed you a pristine, ruby-red rose, it would smell like nest’s turkish rose straight out of the bottle on my skin, though, it has a bit of a sharp, almost peppery note (which i’m guessing is the tartness of the plum? but maybe mine is just old). i really really like this peppery note honestly, it’s very intriguing! and this peppery scent is layered on top of a really clean, almost soapy-smelling rose. i say soapy but i mean that in the most pleasant way possible. like if you went to a really fancy hotel and they gave you some very luxurious rose-scented bath products. or if someone had strewn rose petals all over clean silk sheets. as it dries further, the rose gets slightly more dusty smelling as it mixes with the woody notes in the bottom. i don’t think the dust note is bad honestly 😅. it’s kind of intriguing, reminiscent of dried roses perhaps? and it’s never grandma-ish to me. it manages to stay classy, yet timeless, even with that light dusted note. longevity is pretty good (~5 hours?) but projection is not excellent. since it’s an oil though, i wasn’t expecting it to be a room-filler anyways, but be aware if you’re looking to turn heads with this fragrance. overall a really well done one-note fragrance that manages to be complex and simple at the same time!

someone said the box notes "hints of saffron" that aren't listed on fragrantica, and that's totally what I'm smelling! I was smelling just a hint of spice, but it wasn't overwhelming (and I'm def not into spicy scents). I think this elevates it past a cheap smelling "fruity rose." but it is a VERY fruity rose. if you don't like plum you probably won't like it - BUT it's a very tart plum. I wouldn't say this reads super sweet or young. I think it's appropriate for anyone 20+. overall I really like this one! as a gourmand lover I'll probably layer it with sweeter fruity fragrances, but I'm def not mad at having another layering oil in my collection :)

I like this perfume and found it great for summer! I have Ouai melrose place, which smells sparkly and crisp, which I like for the spring. This is almost like a summer evening roses, like being outside all day and taking a shower, putting on a night gown, and sitting on the porch watching the lightning bugs, when the wind blows you smell your rose bar soap on your skin (this perfume). It is not super strong, but it stays for a while. It's good for hot days as it's not cloying and quite neutral.

This came in a Nest set I got, and I really wasn’t expecting to like it because I’m usually not into rose scents. But this one surprised me! It’s not as floral as other rose fragrances I’ve tried before. It’s light, fresh, and slightly sweet. It feels easy and pretty without being too much. I can definitely see myself wearing this as an everyday scent, especially to work.

I have very little fresh florals in my collection but when I smelled this... I had to have it. I’m also not terribly drawn to rose notes but this is so fresh and clean but soft and subtle. It’s not an old fashioned rose type of scent. It’s youthful and calm. I can’t wait to start wearing this! I’ve already received a compliment at work today!!

I didn't have high hopes for this one because I'm not typically a fan of plum or rose scents. However, this is very nice and smells like something I would love to put on after a long bath.The rose note is there but it's very fresh and nicely blended and it doesn't punch you in the face like some other rose scents. Very pleasantly surprised!

I've been wary of Nest fragrances because those that I've tried have been too sweet for me. This one is also super sweet, but something about it mixes with my skin chemistry so well and I cannot stop myself from smelling my wrists when I have it on. A wonderful fruity floral, but don't think it will be a traditional rose scent.

If you’re a rose lover like me, this is a great oil. The rose is perfect and jammy without being too sweet. I mix it with my hair oil (&Honey) to make my hair smell nice all day. It also works well as a base for other perfumes. I wouldn’t wear it alone just because it’ll fade by itself.

Simple and lovely. I am a fan of Rose scents and this one is a winner. it's subtle and the plum adds a nice touch of fruity-ness that makes this uber wearable. I like it on its own but am intrigued by ELR's suggestion of adding it to my creams and hair serums - going to give it a try!

This is a simple, clean, pretty fragrance. Sits close to the skin and smells like stepping out of a bath filled with rose petals. It's nothing super unique or strong, but nice for days that you want to smell feminine and fresh.

Fruity and fresh, a solid "casual" rose, conceptually. But in practice the scent flattens out quickly, it's pretty linear and watery. Skin scent, low longevity. Not a particularly appealing or high quality rose.

great expression of the candy sweet turkish rose that’s a note in so many designer perfumes y’all love. maybe too sweet, but it lasts forever and is good on my skin even in really hot weather.

Rose, but young, sweet, juicy, and fresh, in opposition to a mature, perfume-y, rose (which I sometimes like in its own way, but this isn't that type of rose). Very feminine and pretty.

It reminds me of Delina/Angel Nova but without the longevity of either. It's lovely, I just don't know if I want to buy it and have to keep reapplying.

A very sweet, jammy rose. In the same vein as Angle Nova and Delina. Very pretty and sweet. I imagine this would layer well with a variety of scents.

For someone who thought she didn't like rose scents, I like it! I wish it lasted longer. But it's nice. This was my first time trying an oil.
