Vanilla Bourbon

Sweet, warm, boozy, smooth, powdery, feminine, sensual, seductive, classy, elegant, Plush, refined, sophisticated, rich, cozy, unique On me this opens with warm, sensual, and a powdery ambery vanilla, sweet and rich brown sugar, a hint of slightly citrusy orange bitters, and a boozy and woody warmth from the bourbon. As it dries down I get a soft touch of delicately floral night blooming jasmine, and some powdery musk. Of the notes, while all noticeable, the ones most prominent on me are the vanilla, brown sugar, and bourbon. This manages to be fairly simple/not super complex, yet unique at the same time. It’s a classy and more sophisticated/mature warm brown sugar, ambery vanilla scent. It’s sweet, but not too sweet, and has a nice depth. Something that I consider to be an elevated fragrance, while still being pleasant and crowd pleasing. As much as I enjoy more candy like vanillas like Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, Pink Sugar, ect, I also really enjoy more mature vanillas like Vanilla Bourbon, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, JPG Classique, JPG Classique Pin Up, D&G The One, D&G The One Desire, ect too. To me this feels feminine, and like it can suit women of most ages. However, it might not be as enjoyable for some of the younger women in their teens and early twenties. This feels most fitting for fall and winter because of its sweetness, warmth, depth, and richness. Although, I do think that this could work as a nighttime fragrance during the spring and summer, especially for a date night, or an evening when you want to feel particularly sexy. It does remind me of their Golden Nectar, but a deeper and more seductive version. Golden Nectar feels more suitable for year round wear as it’s softer. I’m also slightly reminded of B&BW Cozy Vanilla Bourbon, but a more sophisticated version. For some reference, some of my favorite vanillas include Kayali The Wedding Silk Santal, Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Vanilla 28, VCRS, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, Gold Sugar, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, Burberry Goddess, Flowerbomb Extreme, Kilian LDBS, YSL Black Opium Glitter, Phlur Heavy Cream, Phlur Vanilla Skin, SDJ Summer é Amor, SDJ 62, VS Vanilla Lace. For further reference, I do really love a few Nest fragrances, and own quite a few of them. My top 3 favorites are Sunkissed Hibiscus (one of my all time favorites), Vanilla Bourbon, and Golden Nectar. I also own all of their perfume oils, and particularly enjoy Balinese Coconut, Madagascar Vanilla, and South Pacific Sandalwood. I get great performance with Vanilla Bourbon. The longevity is really good on me, it last at least 7-8 hours before maybe needing touched up. The projection is decent, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

Very Beautiful, Sweet, warm, vanilla forward, elegant, cozy, boozy, feminine, and rich yet delicate. What a really lovely fragrance, Nest definitely nailed it again! Vanilla Bourbon opens with sweet vanilla and night blooming jasmine. Once it begins to dry down is when I think it really starts to shine. The rich sweetness of the brown sugar and the boozy golden warmth of bourbon and Orange bitters really elevate the sweet vanilla while adding a nice depth. It’s all grounded very nicely with a softly powdery musk. I find the vanilla, brown sugar, and bourbon to be the most prominent notes on me, but I do pick up on all of the notes listed. Vanilla Bourbon is a very sweet fragrance, but I don’t find it too sweet or cloying. It somehow still manages to feel delicate and also elegant. It does remind me of their Golden Nectar, but I find Golden Nectar to be lighter and more powdery. They’re still different enough to have both in your collection though. I really adore both of them pretty equally. I think Vanilla Bourbon is a pretty safe blind buy... I know I wasn’t disappointed! I think this fragrance can work for year round wear, but I think it’s going to be especially lovely during the colder months of fall and winter. I think this can be easily worn by any age group as long as they enjoy sweet and warm vanilla fragrances. I get great performance with Vanilla Bourbon. The longevity is really good, it lasts throughout the entire day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. I do really enjoy several Nest fragrances. My favorites are Sunkissed Hibiscus, Golden Nectar, Vanilla Bourbon, Balinese Coconut, Madagascar Vanilla, and South Pacific Sandalwood. I do own all of the perfume oils and think they are excellent alone as well as for layering. I can’t wait to try more of their perfumes! For reference, I’m a huge vanilla lover! Some of my other favorite vanilla fragrances include Gold Sugar, Kayali Vanilla 28, Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, Kayali The Wedding Silk Santal, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, Burberry Goddess, Nest Golden Nectar, Phlur Vanilla Skin, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, SDJ Summer é Amor, SDJ 62, SDJ 40, VS Tease Creme Cloud, B&BW Vanilla Romance, and B&BW Wicked Vanilla Woods. Just a side note... I don’t see any resemblance to B&BW Sweet Whisky. I actually very strongly dislike that one because I get a strong medicinal smell with it. As far as the comparison to Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Milk, again I really don’t see it. That is a very lactonic fragrance and I don’t get a lactonic scent with Vanilla Bourbon.

I personally feel like this is such an underrated vanilla fragrance! Might be one of my most favourite vanilla scents I've tried, and there's been plenty, especially with all the hype around gourmands this year. I prefer this over the Madagascar one. It's so light and airy and not overly sweet. It has a little bit of a clean body lotion quality which kind of makes it your skin but better vanilla kind of scent. It lasts a while too. I don't find it super complex but that's why I love it so much because it's so easy to wear and layer. I had a little rollerball sample of it and I'm definitely buying a bigger size. I don't know how good the projection is but I get sniffs of myself all day sometimes thinking what smells so nice just to realize it's me. I'm not the one to buy full sizes unless I tested the fragrance enough to know I'll wear it, and this one surely made the cut! Don't know why people don't talk about it as much but reading the reviews below I'm surprised to see so many different experiences with this scent

I fell in love testing this at Sephora, so I bought a mini rollerball. I ended up liking it so much that I upgraded to a full bottle. It is a bit strong upon first application- but not in a bad way. I don't get plastic or juvenile. It just takes a minute to settle down. I'm a vanilla/gourmand lover, so I have everything from budget to bougie vanilla. This is different enough that I added it to my collection. The boozy note (which I typically struggle with) elevates this to a sexy but also sophisticated scent. More of the spice comes out in the dry down, but I'd describe this more amber-y than spicy. Presentation: stunning. One of the prettiest bottles I own. Longevity: meh. I only get 2-4 hours of wear out of this. I keep the mini rollerball in my purse because it doesn't last. Silage - moderate. Not a skin scent, but not beast mode. Lands right in the middle for me as far as projection goes. Tip: pair this with the EOS Vanilla Cashmere lotion as a base. The combo reminds me of a toasted marshmallow.

Not a complex, unique or groundbreaking scent - quite basic bourbon vanilla - and from that perspective, quite overpriced. Even the performance is mediocre, at best. However, if looking for a rich, warm and deep go-to vanilla, she is worth checking out. Sweet, but not too gourmand, cloying or juvenile. Doesn't smell synthetic. Suitable for layering, but also very enjoyable on her own. Personally I like her best in the safety and privacy of my home with some candles and a warm drink, but could also wear her for an intimate date with a person I trust and love. I find her very attractive. She appeals straight to the emotions, creating an intimate, soft and glowing aura around her carrier. She provides care, comfort and warmth in this world of uncertainty. Like a hug from a loving mother in times of distress, or candlelight in darkness. Medicine for a broken heart, medicine to the soul. For me, this is The Vanilla. Another go-to comfort vanilla for me is Lavanila and Vanilla 28.

FULL BOTTLE WORTHY. Favorite vanilla so far. Prefer it to PDM Althair. Crave it over Burberry Goddess. Enjoy it more than Akro Glow. That’s saying something. Going on memory: it conjures up a mix of Malin+Goetz Dark Rum and JPG Divine. Reminds me of the lamented French Vanilla ice cream I loved so much as a kid in the early ’80s: buttercup yellow in color with an extra strength cake-y vanilla flavor. You can’t find it today. It’s just not the same. This fragrance smells like a masterfully blended combination of industrial stength vanilla plus booze. I get intense vanilla and intense bourbon, mostly. It’s a delicious rummy bourbon. Subtle florals add sensuality and complexity. There’s the slightest hints of woods, powder, and spice. Lush, radiant, indulgent, creamy, cozy, and warm. Not too sweet. A perfectly sweet gourmand. Favorite gourmand! Vanilla Bourbon: An addicting MASTERPIECE.

This is going to be my fall signature of this year! I’ve been looking for the PERFECT vanilla scent to be my signature “vanilla girl” scent and this is it! I’ve tried so many of the popular vanilla heavy perfumes and nothing spoke to me like this one. Nest created the most perfect blend of “edible” vanilla without being too childish or too cloying or too plain. The bourbon is definitely noticeable and gives the edge to make this scent stand out. The projection and longevity of this is also something that made this fragrance so great all around. It projects at least an arm length (and I don’t overspray) and it will last until you shower. I would say to be cautious in hot weather though, I think it will be ok in air conditioned spaces or at night but I still think this will be better suited for the cooler seasons.

A delicious and deep vanilla. I’d heard mixed reviews about this, but it’s by far my favourite Nest fragrance as many others lean way too floral on my skin. This has very distinct brown sugar which I love but I know can be offputting to some people. I thankfully only get a hint of jasmine in the drydown but it fades quite quickly. Has a beautiful scent bubble and lasts about 6 hours and DAYS on my clothes. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Billie’s Eilish: a light grassy vanilla ❌ Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Milk: not as deep and a bit sour ❌ Kayali Vanilla Candy: a bubble gum scent with distinct florals ❌ Nest Golden Nectar: completely floral on me

Delicious boozy vanilla that I had to go back and buy a day after accidentally spraying it on my finger while testing vanillas at Sephora. And it was on sale!! It was meant to be. It’s just as people say, it opens boozy and dries down to sweet brown sugar vanilla with a slight hint of florals. The night blooming jasmine just adds a bit of complexity - as someone who doesn’t really like florals, it is mild enough to still be appealing to me. At the end of the day the vanilla and brown sugar is almost chocolaty to me... A mature and sophisticated but still yummy vanilla.

boozy, rich, and deep vanilla scent. i like this a lot! i see quite a few mixed reviews but i don't find this to smell plasticky or synthetic. if you like more sexy dark perfumes in opposition to gourmand light ones, you'll love this. the jasmine doesn't stand out to me in this. i think this perfume is very overpriced, you could probably find a similar scent for much cheaper. this smells like eilish if it was a tiiinnyy bit lighter, and i love it because of that. eilish was my signature for a long long time, but it made me sick after using it for a while.

the fragrance that made me fall in love with fragrance. a beautiful, soft, and slightly floral vanilla. it’s perfectly sweet and honestly blended to perfection. i feel that it’s an all season vanilla as this is not a beast performer and the added musk makes it feel so cozy without ever being cloying. it’s simple and elegant. it never tries too hard and it layers beautifully with other scents but i love wearing it on its own.

Wow. Literally said that out loud when looking at the notes, cause damn am I personally impressed. I LOVE the warm and spicy smell of it, a perfect autumn scent in my opinion, but I was SO surprised that notes included bergamot and sandalwood as usually those are some of my least favorite notes and can ruin a perfume for me. But honestly the sweet, the spice, the amber and woodiness genuinely come together perfectly!

This is the freshest, lushest vanilla I've come across so far and I really enjoy it. Not overly sweet, not synthetic, not overly gourmand, not cheap smelling. The jasmine is faint, smooth and mixed in just right so that it comes off as lush instead of overly tropical. Doesn't have great staying power unfortunately, that's the only downside. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous. This perfume brings me joy!

I think this smells in the vibe of Eilish, not completely similar, but take it and make it more whole. Where Eilish felt more flat to me this is a vanilla in the same family but fuller, warmer, more cozy. This is exactly what I want in a warm vanilla perfume Edit: It also lasts super well, I sprayed this on my shirt 7 hours ago and still smell it just as strong

This is super unique and doesn’t smell like any of the ones voted for above. Something about the combination of just the 4 notes in this comes off a little weird and I can’t decide whether it’s a good weird or not. Definitely not bad though. Maybe it’s the musk and brown sugar combo that’s doing something interesting. The brown sugar is almost kinda fruity?

Warm boozy Jasmine. Individual notes can be discerned if you put your nose up to it and really sniff. My skin tends to really amp the night blooming jasmine here - floral heavy, but a seductive, sultry floral. It makes for a great evening/date night/bedroom fragrance. Valuable addition to my small collection.

A spicier Golden Nectar. I wish I had gotten the full size, instead of the travel. I see myself using this travel up asap so I can buy the full size. This is a great vanilla. It's true to the name, vanilla, bourbon, and I am definitely getting that musk on my skin. Sweeter on paper tester, muskier on skin.

This is nice and I like it, but after a while the sweetness gets too cloying for me. I think if you don't own any sweet vanillic winter perfumes then this could be a good option, but otherwise, you don't need it. This is nothing different, so I don't think you need to rush out and get it.

ohhh this is wonderful.. b&bw cozy vanilla burbon but obviously higher quality and more mature. this scent has such a seductive quality to it and wraps my nose up like a soft blanket, gosh its so lovely and well blended.. i think anyone who wears this will surely turn heads, 10/10

How many different versions of vanilla are there? I don't know, but I'll probably not stop looking even though this one is definitely one of my favorites. I have several in the Nest line and I thought Nectar was my favorite, but she's number 2 and moving over for this one.

This perfume smells so delicious, mature and almost sexy. It's a more feminine version of Pie by Givenchy (in my opinion). The longevity is incredible! I only have a sample and I'm rationing it like it's the last bottle on earth. I can't wait to get a bottle!

such a beautiful brown sugar vanilla perfume. feels so sexy and elegant without being that overly sweet vanilla scent. this was definitely love at first sniff, didn’t even need to wait for it to dry down on my skin for me to instantly love it

Maybe I'm totally uncultured, but I thought this smelled terrific compared to other vanillas at Sephora. If you're looking for a photorealistic warm brown sugar vanilla, this is it. I liked it better than Kayali, but they're similar.

Plastic vanilla...not good. It has settled after being in the cold mailbox and now as it sinks into my skin it’s gorgeous! It reminds me of a vanilla version of La Belle. They could be related. I am thoroughly enjoying this now!

To me, this is a lovely, dark vanilla. Not too sweet or candy-like, which I appreciate. Great for layering and I get decent longevity. The brown sugar and jasmine round things out nicely.

I really don't know what it is but I'm obsessed with this perfume. Deliciously sweet but not at all childlike, its warm and somewhat spicy and perfect for winter nights.

Okay guys hear me out: sticky dates from lush (body wash + body lotion) then phlur vanilla skin body mist then vanilla bourborn to top it off. Thank me later.

I love this. Got complimented on it today, my first day wearing it outside the house. It’s gorgeous - light, delicious and leaves a trail.

The opening is off putting smells like afternoon delight, the dry down is good tho, very deep boozy and brown sugar is prominent

A beautiful straightforward vanilla brown sugar scent we've all been asking for. Kinda underrated

this is a beautiful deep sultry scent, perfect for nice restaurants and formal occasions. i have left my bottle to macerate for about 8 months now and i adore the scent, despite not enjoying florals overall. it's a true vanilla, with very dark notes, the bourbon and the brown sugar make it feel very sexy while the rich vanilla and jasmine make it feel mature and sophisticated. there is also a very pronounced orange zest note in this that i think makes this perfume feel a lot more complex, nothing about it reads as one note. it opens up beautifully on skin and sticks around afterwards. bought this as a day to day perfume and unfortunately i cannot say this is appropriate for that, at least not for my age. i am a gourmand lover at heart and i will say this does smell like a very realistic sugar but it isn't edible, it's far too floral for that. this would be perfect for people who want a dark vanilla scent with very prominent jasmine notes. not a day to day for me but considering the complexity i would definitely recommend at least getting a sample if you love very dark vanilla scents.

One of my favorite November-December vanillas, wear it in cold weather and you'll see why! Buttery sweet but bourbony at the same time. The florals of the night blooming jasmine are light imo, as someone who hates most florals. In that same vein as 7V Vanilla woods but not smoky, so if that smokiness bothered you, give this a try! Sensual, boozy, and grown ass, this isnt my usual girly vanilla but thats exactly why i love this, really dark academic energy here. A better blended brown sugar (that almost seems lightly chocolate or cacao-y) Vanilla bourbon profile than V28- though i always found V28 to be more a brown sugar scent than a fully straight up 'Vanilla' vanilla scent. Shes deep. Scored a new full size back up for $40 and I couldn't be happier! Also the bottle is beautiful, front and back and the atomizer is really nice (I prefer and have the older design pictured)

The opening reminds me of Robitussin or Triamenic cold and cough syrup. It's actually oddly comforting and reminiscent of having my mother care for me when I was young and sick. So if you are someone who does not like this you should pass. I also get way more jasmine/brown sugar than vanilla. The musk is not too noticeable for me. It's very strong on initial spray but mellows way out upon dry down on skin. The dry down starts to have a bit of a synthetic feel to it and it develops a bit of a dusty smell. I guess thats the musk. It's not the best vanilla but not the worst. Its more of a floral sweet leaning vanilla. Not what I would call gourmand. Its definitely sweet and will be cloying for some people. There isn't much boozyness in this fragrence beyond the opening. Vanilla Bourbon also does not last long on skin, I get 5 hours max

This perfume is a journey ! Wow . It sure is complex . I do see the resemblance to the golden nectar but not too much , I don’t think it smells like coffee and whiskey though. this perfume is sweet and rich, it starts out with a sweet bourbon vanilla, , I smell pear , and licorice? (Red) it actually reminds me of bath and body works Madagascar vanilla but a lot stronger ( that one reminds me of red licorice as well ) . Then it starts to shift a bit , later on in the dry down it reminds me of Gucci guilty and Versace crystal noir, it gets a bit powdery and a little dark . It’s not what I thought it was going to be but I think it’s very well made. It’s strong!!! , has great projection and it lasts , plus how it evolves from first spray to dry down. I’m pretty happy with it.

Nest is a house that I really want to love but their fragrances are generally just nice. Not memorable or special but definitely easy grabs and generally inoffensive. I can never commit to a full bottle. When I saw Vanilla Bourbon was being released I was very excited as a vanilla girly, but honestly I was disappointed when i first smelled. Again pretty and inoffensive, not special. Not as deep and boozy of a vanilla as I was hoping nor is it a warm and cozy vanilla. But I kept going back to testers whenever I was in store and eventually bought the travel size. I may actually buy a full bottle once I finish my travel size. While not unique in general there are very few cruelty free options and it's really growing on me.

I love vanilla fragrances but a lot of them can either just smell like BBW warm vanilla sugar or Kayali vanilla, with no diversity so it gets kind of stale. This is one of the first vanillas in a while that surprised me and I can’t think of another perfume it’s similar to. The jasmine is very faint (I’m sensitive to it) and just adds a very balanced floral layer. It’s very musky and brown sugary. If I had to put it on the vanilla spectrum mentioned earlier, it would be on the warm vanilla sugar side as opposed to the Kayali side, but it’s still a lot more complex. It’s kind of sexy and very wearable. Definitely intimate village but would probably do better sprayed onto clothes.

Warm, malty, golden vanilla paired with a creamy, white-floral accord that mimics the relaxed, gourmand vibes of the vanilla, while adding its own, slightly green floral nuance. It's a chewy, opaque scent—cream-pale, almost reminiscent of nougat—but with a layer of floral elegance, and the smooth, warm liquidity of a liquor note. It also stays rich and sweet enough to avoid becoming lotiony in the dry down, which I appreciate. All in all, a very decent vanilla-dominant fragrance. It's not overly complex, but it's warm, plush, and well-balanced. It doesn't smell synthetic to me, and it has a nice touch of floral elegance.

On the NEST website they have one more note that ́s not listed here: "a blend of orange bitters". I think it ́s super cozy and warm, sweet but not overly, and the orange is nice in the opening, the brown sugar is rich but not cloying, and the jasmine and musk softens it so much. When the orange and jasmine fades away it ́s almost linear, but still nice. Overall it ́s nice, would be good for cold autumn and winter, but I think I need more bright notes for my personal taste. It ́s not a love, it ́s a big like, but not bottle worthy since I have another warm og bright vanilla I would reach for in those seasons.

I pretty much blind bought this, I did smell it in Sephora a few months ago when looking for a good vanilla but I kinda forgot exactly how it smelt on me. I give it a 7/10. It halfway reminds me of Valentino Donna born in Roma intense in a way. The vanilla and jasmine I suppose. I think it would be a great fall and winter fragrance. I know a lot of people say it’s generic and they don’t like that but honestly if you’re just starting out with your fragrance collection, I recommend this. It’s nothing too complex but it still smells good. Probably a good layering fragrance as well.

Vanilla, floral, cozy cold weather scent. I just got a rollerball sample and tried it on as my husband sipped on some bourbon. I was able to smell his bourbon and my wrist, and I can smell the resemblance, but bourbon is way more sharper and spicy. This is mainly vanilla, but the blooming jasmine actually adds a little bit of spicy floral, but not mature florals that I dislike. I plan to layer this with Burberry Goddess and compare it to Kilian’s boozy fragrances and will report back! 😊

Has FINALLY landed in Australia at Sephora. I'm not a fan of the brand Nest but this had me intrigued from all the online hype and I love vanilla so it's been a long wait. So far I'm not dissapointed and quite pleased. It's just starting to cool down here in Australia and I think this will be great in the cooler months. A sweet and slightly floral vanilla heavey fragrance. Perfect for work and mass appealing. This is a definate like for me 😀

I enjoy most of the Nest fragrances, they’re all pretty simple but pleasant and easy to wear. Nothing too complex or overly loud here. Most of them perform like a body spray on my skin and this one is no different. It’s a nice vanilla with a touch of booze. Definitely feels like a cold weather scent and nice for layering, but the scent is gone in an hour. It’s a lovely scent if the formula works for you or you don’t mind frequent reapplying.

A beautiful boozy vanilla. If it weren't for my love affair with Amore Caffe, I'd go for this but Amore gives me booze, vanilla, plus coffee and that combination, for me, knocks this out of the running. If you don't like coffee notes, then I'd give this a try. It's warm, a little sexy, a bit powdery, and just lovely.

VERY sweet smell, a mix of floral and vanilla. I smell fondant. When I wear this i like to pair it with a citrus or fruity smell, to mellow down the dramatic scent. I've noticed no one can smell it when i apply (roller ball) all over my wrists and neck after a couple of hours, unless they take a sniff to my skin.

Vanilla, jasmine, and a hint of something like apple? After reading these reviews, I can't un-smell the play-dough scent, though. Regardless, I can only smell it with my wrist against my face, and it's gone in under an hour. No longevity or sillage to speak of. Got a sample and definitely won't be buying a full.

I can see the Vanilla 28 comparisons on the dry-down, but this still feels like a lighter, somewhat herbal vanilla. You can smell the orange bitters a bit on the opening too, which I really like. It reminds me of Burberry Goddess personally. Definitely an easy reach for the summer-fall transition.

I had a travel sized bottle of this and lost it when I got violently drunk at a wedding reception. That pretty much sums up what this smells like. Party girl who is wearing way too much warm vanilla sugar body spray, and keeps spilling her drink on herself. That being said I think it smells great

I think it’s a nice scent, but not something I necessarily want to wear. I’d love it as a candle, but it’s not complex or interesting enough for me to wear it as a perfume. I have a lot of vanillas that are much better and more unique. It smells very “perfumey” as well.

This smells like vanilla extract. It's quite boozy, especially in the opening. Fairly linear scent profile, so it's good for layering. Sweet, bordering on cloying but not quite reaching that point. I like this much more than the Nest Madagascar Vanilla.

on the test strip it was a boozy, brown sugar vanilla. on my skin it was a much more softer, sweet and slightly lactonic vanilla. i would get this in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for the fact that it only lasted on my skin for an hour or two
