White Narcisse

The first spray is a little papery & waxy, like opening a box of crayons. I get a tiny bit of Passiflora DNA. It's green and sweet, like a watermelon rind. But then the mimosa starts to bring a little more of a powdery roundness to it, and the sweetness fades. With narcissus and jasmine combinations, I expect a heady and indolic smell; Something strong that puckers the sinuses, bordering on animalic and pissy. But that does not happen with White Narcisse. It stays fairly light, dancing around the front of the nostrils rather all the way up in the head. Sandalwood keeps it dry. There is the tiniest *tiniest* bit of a 'rotting flower' smell in the background. This could be the Passiflora DNA that i thought i detected, OR is could just be the headiness of the florals mixing in a dry & green way that I have never experienced before. If I inhale deep enough, it tickles like fizz on the back of my tongue- perhaps this is why i think of fermentation. Nest is the house that started my interest in fragrance. And now that I have developed a love for narcissus, i am so happy to have this! It's different than the other narcissuses that I have smelled so far. Dry and green even a touch soapy, but does not necessarily stay 'fresh.' It's as if they took the typical lily of the valley "green" accord and made it more mature. Good for spring and summer time.

This is a powerhouse narcissus! Combined with mimosa and just enough jasmine this has excellent longevity and sillage but still smells natural and even a bit green. Be careful how much you spray though!

The genius of this, in my mind, is how the fragrance mimics or adapts to the daffodil notes and does so exquisitely. I use The Perfumer's Workshop Narcissus as the benchmark for the sweet, plump scent of daffodil/narcissus (mind you, those notes were most likely some aldehydic brew, but hey! I was young). And this is close, though greener. Extraordinarily deep for a white flower ... and can I be wrong, no jasmine? There's muguet, mimosa (?), and a true narcissus in there, according to my untutored nez. (I'm just using my knobby nose to identify these notes and the fact that they're distinct and identifiable is a "tell" to their home-brewedness.) I can tell it's going to last a while and will remain very WSYWYG, or rather WYSWYS. As others have said about this line, very true-to-nature fragrances. I'm impressed!

OMG. I want to try this so badly. Sephora carries the brand, so I hope they will have this shortly. I love NEST scents. I have the sample box of their first six (I think) and they are all lovely. Mimosa, narcissus, jasmin and sandalwood. How can anyone screw that up?

I love this sent it's fresh and light. The dry down tho smells more like I took the flower and rubbed it on my skin. It's not unpleasant but I wasn't going for the dead plant aroma.

Such a natural Narcissus fragrance... Yes, I believe they do have real extract in this. It is quite soft floral but well worth the money if you like lily of valley and narcissus.

So fresh, so good and comforting. Lasts long time with soft silage... Great fragrance!
