Classic Oud

Wow! This is the first perfume I've ever purchased with oud. Everyone is "oud oud oud oud this and that everything" lately, so I wanted to smell it but heard it's an "acquired taste" can smell of rubber or gasoline or all kinds of weird things ppl compare it to, but it seems to be in so many popular fragrances. I was searching for an oud perfume and Amazon recommended this for $9. So I watched one single review they have on YouTube and came here and yall didn't let me down. I can smell the oud! I think it smells like class. That's the first thing that come to my mind. She's a classy, old money (ironically for $9 lol), elegant, gentle. It's the most "cologney" type perfume I own. I feel it's too sweet for a man, but wear what makes you happy. I do not care. No one else should either. The performance is amazing. I sprayed it at 2pm and it was still going STRONG when I fell asleep at midnight. It definitely projects (Id call this "beastmode"), so I only had to use two quick spritz on my arms for it to last 10 hours! I was still getting whiffs when I woke up the next day. Regarding the notes, I am a slut for a good rose perfume. I want it in everything, but this is a gentle rose that almost gets lost in the sweetness of it all. She barely there, imo, but i like a strong rose that punches you in the face with its thorns. Still, I don't THINK this is too rose heavy for rose haters. So, if you hate rose like most people, you probably won't hate this parfum. I also appreciate that New Brand Parfums is made in Belgium because Europe has by FAR the best perfumery laws regarding ingredients in the world. Most other places have very little, if any at all, and they aren't required to list ingredients. Who knows what's in their fragrances? We certainly don't. I am going to try shopping more European small brands now instead of ME brands because of that alone. Plus, this perfume is performing better than all 3 of my Lattafas for a third of the price. She is taking Khamrah to school right now. I mean, it has the perfect name like I said; it just smells like a classy elegant woman. She's not cute flirty airheaded super edgy or juvenile but she not old either. She's beautiful, elegant, expensive, and CLASSY. Would smell good on a woman of any age, but I don't really believe in perfumes for different ages so I won't speak much on that. Anyway, what a steal for $9. I've never smelled Gucci Oud, but if it smells like this then no wonder they can pass it off for $350. It def smells like a luxury fragrance. 5/5 for me blind buy and no complaints.

From the notes, I was expecting something along the lines of Franck Olivier Oud Vanille. However, this is much softer than Oud Vanille, as well as being sweeter, although it is equally perfumey. It's close enough to unisex, but men who wear it should be comfortable wearing more feminine scents. The longevity and projection seem to be poor but I could be going noseblind. Will do some tests later and update if I find that to be true. For the price, I like it. But, really, the price is the major determining factor there.

I purchased this off Jomashop maybe a year and a half ago to try to dip my toe into oud. I didn’t want to invest a lot until I had an idea of what I was dealing with and this was very inexpensive. I now have several oud scents and now smelling this, I barely smell any oud at all! It is the mildest you can probably ever get and a touch sweet. It is like if you made a floral oud body mist. Not bad, it’s probably the least polarizing oud possible, and you can definitely get away with wearing it to work since it’s so soft. I’d say it’s a daytime cool weather scent that wears very close to the skin and you may have to reapply throughout the day. The dry down is pretty nice though so I’d say it’s worth the price!

This is really good. The opening is not agreeable. I get a synthetic fruit accord that reminds me of candy, and not in a good way. But the fragrance settles to a soft, warm sweet rose with a woody background. Don’t worry that this will be a stanky barnyard oud fragrance. It’s not. In fact, Classic Oud is the opposite of dirty. I could imagine this fragrance in a soap. The raspberry and rose meld together, and I do smell orange blossom, which to my nose is a musky note. Orange blossom can be slightly animalic, but in this instance it’s not. Classic Oud is a rose fragrance, elegant and smoldering. The base notes are well in the background. I don’t detect patchouli at all. Maybe the warmth is coming from here, because it is a very warm fragrance. It’s unisex in the way TF Noir de Noir is unisex, by which I mean it’s for people comfortable with elegant and serious rose-forward fragrances.
