Volcano

Update: With some time, this fragrance is more interesting than I have described below. I DO get orange and pepper now along with the soapy smell. This started out as the weakest fragrance I owned. I used to put three times more of this on in the morning compared to other fragrances, and by the time I would get to the car it would be a skin scent. After some maceration time, it has more "oomph." It's still not a powerhouse by any stretch of the imagination, but it has much more presence than it once did. Old Review: I have no actual experience with TDH, but I do like Banana Republic Cypress Cedar. Having heard that Cypress Cedar is like TDH but a bit less masculine, I wanted to try something closer to TDH. I wound up getting Volcano because it was cheap. Now, I have not worn Volcano much yet, and I imagine that it may get better with some time and maceration. But, at this point, I am a little disappointed. In the early stages, I don't smell bitter orange. I don't smell pepper. I don't smell anything earthy. I smell soap. Closer to the mark, it smells like some kind of 1980's shampoo. I actually was sort of in the market for a soapy fragrance, so I am not fully disappointed, but this is certainly not what I was expecting. I much prefer BR Cypress Cedar. With Cypress Cedar, I get natural orange rind and pepper with woods. Ideally, I was hoping for something like Cypress Cedar with a bit more of a masculine oomph. Well, Volcano gives me pretty much just strong soap at the start. Oh well. Now, I would say, as the Volcano goes into the deep dry down, it does let some more nuance come in. It starts to smell less soapy and a bit closer to Cypress and Cedar (and, I imagine, TDH). But, at that point, the scent is so light that it doesn't matter much. I can't say whether or not this is much like TDH, but I can say that, so far, I regret my purchase. But, then again, it was only $10.

Yes, it's a Terre D'Hermès EDT dupe and a good one. Orange, black pepper and vetiver. A little different balance here, more citrusy and airy, like if it was a fresher version of the exactly same Terre D'Hermès EDT. Do not open as pleasing and quality as Terre D'Hermès EDT, but you recognize it from the get go. It gets better balance half an hour into it's use. For that cheap it is actually very very good. Performance is not on pair with Terre D'Hermès EDT, which has a very robust bass and projects strong, so it's obviously weaker in density. It has a projection of less than 1 meter, kind of similar to Terre D'Hermès EDT but less robust and not as long lasting, here you'll get 5-7h, which is actually pretty good for 8x less money. Let's not forget to talk about one of the nicest bottles in the game, it's way better in person than pictures can show. If this cap was metal and magnetic matching the atomizer finish, this bottle would be one of the nicest in the whole game, I really like clean but robust designs (like Bleu de Chanel). Atomizer is not bad but not Dior-like neither, that's it. Projection: 1h-2h Intensity: ★★★☆☆ Duration: 5h-7h

I have a sample of terre d’hermes edt and a full bottle of this. I think volcano is a very good clone of terre d’hermes and I don’t smell much difference on my skin. It’s a very nice pleasant masculine orange smell that lasts a decent time for the price and that it’s a summer fragrance. I get about 4-5 hours on my skin with a projection that leans a bit weak. I got mine for 7 euro and I think it’s a great summer pickup definitely recommend. 7/10 fragrance 9/10 fragrance for the price

I purchased this to decide if I liked Terre d'Hermès. I haven't had the chance to smell the original but thus far Volcano reminds me of Moustache 1949 but with a hint of orange. Also, this doesn't perform as well as Moustache but it's not too bad, longevity isn't great but for the price, good stuff. It's worth getting free shipping for but I don't know if it really smells like the original so, take that into consideration.

Buy it becuse of its price - 9 euro/dollar, for every morning before job ( feeld work in infrastructure) In the start its just hard wood i dont like, but after several min' he geeting plasent and soft. Overly its nice and cheap for work use. Will not buy again

Wrote a long review and the site crashed...Good dupe of Terre D’Hermes, leans heavier on woods and Vetiver, lacks the bitter orange. Longevity is not great, but for the price ok. I recommend Stirling Soap “Arkadia” as a better alternative. You can get the soap, aftershave and cologne for under $90.00. Trust me these artisan wet shaving companies are putting out great product that includes the whole grooming package our dads and grandfathers performed.

Was hoping to live this. The bottle is one of the nicest bottles that I have in my collection. The scent on the other hand is the letdown. I love Orange Mandarin really anything other than the basic typical lemon that I'm so sick of smelling on people. But imagine cutting open a fresh orange and then pouring baby powder all over it and that's basically what you got. I had to shower it off after 3 hours I couldn't take it anymore. In my opinion the bottle is worth more than the perfume...

I'm actually surprised, at first I thought this was more like the Rasasi Fattan take on this but then I actually bought a bottle of Terre D'Hermes and they nailed it. Obviously the longevity on this is going to be an hour give or take but for the price I suppose you could happily leave this in a gym bag, locker or in your car. if you're a fan of TDH and on a budget, I highly recommend Rasasi Fattan or trying out Bentley For Men Infinite Rush (not EDP).
