i first put it on just trying new perfumes in new look i sprayed it on a card and liked it but i did not realise how beautiful it smells untill i opened my bag and kept smelling the sent card i had put it on everytime i opened my bag it smelled beutiful then the smell began to remind me of a perfume i already had few years ago called kate moss kate. i carried the cent card round with me for a few months and the cent never faded so i decided to treat myself to a bottle for my birthday and was amazed when the man at the till told me today they are half price i paid just £6 for a beutiful perfume that last very long and smells just like the kate moss one that cost me £30 for a bottle half the size of this one. i am so happy i found it. its a lovely girly daytime cent

Wow this is very oriental to me oudi rosey calligraphy rose dupe for my nose! I think there are many more hidden notes in there than this page leads you to believe..seems to last really well too! TBC So longevity is better than all the rest no doubt..but not amazing, probably about an hour. Edit: Testing side by side with an official armani rose arabie sample. To my nose - these are basically the same smell. A gourmand, sweet, woodsy, oriental rose. To me this is very feminine (both) and not super authentic oriental. More of a sweet gourmand rose not that much oud. But nice. This has Damascus rose in it so makes sense that I like it. One small twinge of a difference to me Arabie is a touch tarter on opening but both dry down to a sweet vanilla gourmand rose. More classical rose in Arabie. Amazing how occasionally, a high street cheapie can put the bigwig brands to shame . Definitely worth the 8£ bottle, occasionally you see one pop up on eBay.

yeah looks like fragrantica is a bit off with the notes, as reviewers noted below, there is definitely ROSE there. New look features it as below 'An intense oriental-floral fragrance with Oud and seductive notes of Damascus rose - Patchouli, vanilla and dark woods are at the heart of this luxurious scent' Now, with regards to my findings - this was a nice surprise. Smells really good, can't believe they are selling it at the price??? (9 pounds on New Look site for a 50 ml bottle) I also own Rose d'arabie and a friend of mine did a side by side...half an hour later, i was not able to establish which one 's which. To justify my purchase of the hefty Armani I picked the spicier/richer one to be on the safe side. It wasn't Arabie! :)

I keep trying out the tester for this and I'm fairly sure I'm going to end up buying it. Of all the oud-based perfumes I've tested I think this one works the best on me, and it also lasts quite well on me - I've tested it in the afternoon and still been able to detect it faintly the next morning when I woke up. It's also nice to find a perfume with rose notes that doesn't have that slightly jangling "sharpness" that sometimes reminds me a bit of white wine. I perceive it as warm, spicy, kind of sexy but not too OTT for everyday life. I should really bite the bullet and get some, shouldn't I?

Smells good but nothing line like Armani in my opinion. Longevity is about 1-2 hours even though it is labelled as an EDP which I find hard to believe. For the price, it is a good feminine perfume, for general/cologne-type usage. New Look have discontinued their cosmetics ventures for now.

Admittedly, it IS close to Rose D’Arabie but... it just doesn’t have the same magic. I wouldn’t settle for Dani Minogue if I can have Kylie.
