Caramelo Vanilla

In-depth review, the good and bad... I'm actually SHOCKED at some of these reviews and it makes me wonder if there are inconsistencies in the batches of this perfume that people are smelling... 🤔 or for the people who said they are smelling samples, if they are legit samples that have not been altered. I find Caramelo Vanilla to be very strong and VERY long-lasting! It has extremely good performance!!! I'm an oversprayer and I like strong and long-lasting perfumes, so I'm a harsh critic when it comes to performance. I was shocked at how long this lasts and the strength, even with just a few sprays. I own all of the vanillas and the performance of Caramelo Vanilla is absolutely top tier in my opinion, especially compared to other vanillas like Tihota, Escapade Gourmande, Fire At Will, etc. Now, let's talk about the actual scent. Caramelo Vanilla is very pretty and it is a sweet vanilla with some caramel, but it does lean a little more powdery than I was expecting (not in a bad way, just different than what the notes suggested). If you have smelled Vanille Absolu by Montale, then that's the type of powderiness that I'm talking about. They're not the same scent, but that one has a similar powdery quality as Caramelo Vanilla by New Notes. Since some people have voted they smell similar, if you think this will smell like Bianco Latte, I'm warning you now that it does not. This does NOT smell like Bianco Latte (or Eclaire or any rendition of Bianco Latte), even though they share some similar notes. Not at ALL to my nose! Caramelo Vanilla is not as sweet and the white floral comes through somewhat. Caramelo Vanilla does NOT smell like Milk by Commodity either! I'm just addressing what I see people have voted that it smells similar to. Nope, not like either of those! I was expecting this to be a sugar bomb, gourmand Heaven, and very decadent smelling since it has notes of cotton candy and dulce de leche. I'm not sure where those notes are, but they're not in the forefront. Perfumes are just aromachemicals and the notes are the scents that the perfumer wanted to achieve and they should have changed the note pyramid since that's not exactly what the results actually came out to be with the finished product. It's still sweet for sure, but just doesn't remind me of cotton candy or dulce de leche. That being said, I do think this is somewhat more unisex leaning than a lot of vanillas and it's listed as such, so it makes sense that it's not a sticky super sweet cotton candy scent. I don't believe scents should be specific to genders, but just saying it smells a little closer to what scents are marketed as unisex. If I'm judging this perfume based on the notes and the accord pyramid, I'd say it's somewhat of a fail because it definitely does NOT match all of the notes, such as the cotton candy and the dulce de leche! If I'm judging this perfume strictly on how it smells and performs, I really REALLY enjoy it! If you buy Caramelo Vanilla without any expectations of what it may smell like and just enjoy the journey of the scent for exactly what it is, then you may enjoy it for hours on end like I do! If you're expecting what Fragrantica says it smells like, you may be disappointed. For me, the scent is 9/10 and the longevity/projection is 10/10, but the notes and the scent matching the notes is 7/10 because it mainly smells like the notes minus the cotton candy and the dulce de leche. Hope this info helps! Edited to add: the atomizer on the bottle is a DREAM! It's one of the best pressurized atomizers out there and other companies need to match this one. It's so good!

I think of Crème Brûlée specifically the crackly caramel topping made from caramelised sugar when I smell Caramelo Vanilla. Brûlée in French means burnt and I get such a soft touch of a burnt undertone in Caramelo Vanilla to compliment the sweetness of the caramel. I smell bourbon vanilla making this fragrance soothing, warm, inviting and cozy. Sexy, sophisticated, chic and subtle is what comes to mind when I wear Caramelo Vanilla. This fragrance is not beast mode however it has a beautiful soft sillage that turns heads. Escapade Gourmand is the creme part of a creme brûlée and Caramelo Vanilla is the caramel topping. They are in the same family but distant cousins. They layer beautifully together with Escapade Gourmand smelling like super sweet creamy buttery vanilla warm pudding and Caramelo Vanilla being that semi-sweet crispy caramel topping. I’m so glad to have this in my collection; it’s gourmand that doesn’t have any synthetic quality to it. I love when a gourmand fragrance has a perfumery side to it & it’s not in the total edible/novelty category; when it gives me something to think about and when it’s mysterious to others.

I tried this next to Bianco Latte for a few days, and since then I’ve ditched the Bianco Latte and this is my obsession. It’s like a carnival dream. Sweet like the vendors who sell the toasted cinnamon sugar nuts, I CANNOT stop smelling myself, and I’ve had the sample for 6 months, and the full bottle for a month. It doesn’t fade much on me, I can smell it all day, though it gets close to the skin by night. The scent really doesn’t dry much different than the initial spray on me, though I did have a friend who said it turned into a “sweet powder” on her, but that’s not the scent I get on myself. This is the perfume I’ve been searching for since my initial favorite (a solid perfume) called Sugar Sugar by Tokyomilk was discontinued (I found spray bottles of it but it didn’t smell the same). I find it smells really interesting layered with Glossier You or even with Snif’s Crumb Couture.

This came out *before* Bianco latte... and unlike other "similar" fragrances or even new notes subsequent offerings this does *not* include ambroxan (or at least not in the year i bought mine...as they seem to have added some into rose limone in recent batches) but still lasts..this is a classy caramel vanilla (if there can be such a thing haha...i know some people still think gourmands without noticeable florals are not real perfumes...i am not one of them and I don't think this is juvenile at all.. totally safe for the office if it's not overdone...and then some extra added for going out later and viola :) ). Cosy and warming and also doesn't have the annoying overly pastry vanilla or either insulo or opium le parfum...if you cannot guess this is my favourite of the genre (kyse do a lovely vanilla with praline as a vanilla alternative too).

This smells amazing. I was initially anosmic, but after letting it settle...I was greeted with the most smooth and creamy dulce de leche scent I've smelled so far. I own many Caramel scents, but the dulce de leche stands out to me here. It's a bit creamier and smooth. I get none of the florals...just vanilla, a dash of musk, and caramel. Yum. Maybe similar to Escapade Gourmande, but way more wearable for those who enjoy gourmands, but not the saccharin sweet type that Escapade tends to be (still love that one btw). There's a light powdery feel in the dry down that's makes this comforting.. like the powder on bagged marshmallows. This fragrance won't announce you, but I guarantee anyone who's in close quarters with you will think you smell like the yummiest piece of caramel candy.

Love, love, love. Such a good smell for autumn, although I hate overly gourmand perfumes, this one is amazing. It has deep, rich notes of caramel with vanilla blend, also some other spices. I can't smell cotton candy at all, but I don't think that it is necessary, because then it would ruin how expensive this fragrance smells. It is my third bottle and I always associate this fragrance with rainy fall days, it warms my heart.

Gourmandy all the way! It is really sweet, but not in a sickening way. Gorgeous sweet caramel. Smells like a long hug from an old friend. Smelled it in a shop and it is on my wishlist from that day. Projection is not bad, it doesn't leave a trail but others can smell it if they get close - in the first hours of application. After a few hours it settled on the skin, I was still able to smell it the next day.

What a masterpiece this is. Nice smokey vanilla with caramel sweetness. Smells as expensive as the price tag it has. Makes you smell like a seductive snack. Performance is amazing in every aspect, lasts long and projects well. Atomizer is also very very nice. I don’t get the negativity this perfume gets. My coworkers and friends all seem to love this smell. My new daily driver for the colder seasons.

A very sweet gourmand fragrance. I do get lots of caramel and warm delicious vanilla. The vanilla note is similar to Escapade Gourmande, it’s warm, caramelized, natural. But EG is drier and spicier. For me this scent is if Fire at Will and Bianco Latte had a baby. And it’s very yummy.

first time I've tried this i felt.. "meh", there was a note somewhere i didnt quite like. come back to it after a couple of days and now i love it! on my skin it is a delicious caramel vanilla! almost reminds me of Bianco latte for sure!

I have a bottle of this, and I can only feel the caramel-vanilla notes, beautifully made, I had been longing for this for quite a few months:) Don't regret purchasing it at all, on the contrary, in love with it! Gourmand dessert.

On a big kick of blind buys and so far most of the vanilla based ones have not disappointed. Definitely caramel vanilla swirled cotton candy but a powdery softness (not overpoweringly so) and maybe a smidge nutty? Def enjoy.

OMG this perfume is AMAZING! It smells exactly like a warm caramel latte with a hint of vanilla bean. So delicious and comforting, I get compliments every time I wear it.

I took delivery of this this morning along with ' a lab on fire ,my own private teahupo'o' sprayed this on my left arm and the other on my right. At 1st I couldn't really smell much from this ,like very very minimal vanilla or caramel. So I sprayed some more on . Same again . The other fragrance on the other hand deserves its own review as its stunning and I got it for less than half price at liberty ,in fact ive popped over to liberty and put another 2 in my basket ( for the price point and how i enjoy this, its worth it to me . I digress. This now ,after having it on my skin warming a little ,is starting to come alive . Is it normal for this scent to do this ? I'm really confused . Do i have to leave it to settle before it comes into its own or is that it ? At the time of writing,I'm sitting near an open window and surprisingly, im getting faint but noticeable wafts of it. I guess I'll just have to give this some time . At least that's the hope coz ill be heavy disappointed if this is all I get . Although thinking also that I could layer it with something extra flowery or woody and I'd have the blend I'm always trying to find ? If anybody can help with that ,I'm open to suggestions.

It's pretty good! With such a name, one might expect to be immersed in a sticky sweetness, and generally, I tend to avoid this type of fragrance. However, this is certainly not the case here, or at least to a very small extent. New Notes manages to create a delicate balance that avoids both cloying and the cheap aspect often associated with ethyl maltol. The white musks are wisely chosen to counterbalance the sweetness of the sugar, with the caramel evocation being remarkably realistic. The vanilla, though not exceptional, stands out for its subtlety and delicacy. The fragrance, very discreet, doesn’t hit you abruptly but blends harmoniously with the skin. In my opinion, it is one of the best examples of composition in the gourmand style, and I may very well succumb to temptation...

Carmelo Vanilla smells exactly like its name implies that it should, so it has that going for it. This type of fragrance, vanilla gourmand, is just not my preference in a perfume. That being said, it smells good, very sweet, very vanilla, and I can also pick out the caramel. I cannot smell cotton candy or any of the florals. This opened big on my skin, but once it dried down it was very intimate. I could smell it for roughly 2 hours and then I could still faintly smell it if I put my nose right up to where I sprayed. I did not test on clothes, but I’m sure the performance would be better. This perfume stays fairly linear, which is not a bad thing, as I figure the allure of this perfume is in its name, caramel vanilla, and that’s what it smells like throughout.

On it's own, this is a nice warm caramel vanilla scent, but there are a lot of other scents out there like it. Sits very close to the skin but that actually makes it excellent to use when layering. The frangipani jumps out at me right from the opening but within a few seconds it dries down into an absolutely delectable slightly smokey caramel. Subtle but I like the realism and versatility of Caramelo Vanilla quite a bit.

It’s nice. I’m one of those people that loves to smell like a cupcake and have 1,000,000 versions of Bianco Latte and this one was just not it. It’s not bad, and I did like it... but I sold it because with so many better options I’d never chose it over the others. It’s nice but nothing special or memorable. Sprayed on my arm in the store and liked it, but kept browsing as I wasn’t wowed. Later in the day, I noticed that I couldn’t help but keep smelling my arm. Definitely sits close to the skin, but I enjoy and may consider purchasing a full bottle.

Caramel scent that is VERY sweet but also slightly smoky. Kind of plain for the price tbh

Another just ok for the price gourmand. The good: it does not give synthetic as many cheaper gourmands do. It’s a deep, pretty linear gourmand, grounded by caramel. It does last a good while, outlasting my test patch of Happy Dust, and I believe it’s also stronger than my decant of Escapade Gourmand. Don’t let the initial application deceive you, because the top notes aren’t as zingy it takes longer for the scent to develop and warm up with your body heat. Just because you don’t smell the first sprays does not mean others cannot smell you walking down the street later. It does not mean you need 6 sprays. Proceed with caution. The bad: the asking price. For that amount, a perfume would have to be ground breaking. I always try to be optimistic, but unsurprisingly, this is nothing noteworthy. According to the bf: vanilla playdough. I guess gourmands just don’t work for my skin.

Simple. Straightforward. Linear. This comes off as very dry for a caramel fragrance. This is not kid stuff. Having said that I smell like a toasted marshmallow. Longevity is just about as good as it gets. Projection is a couple of arm lengths. Both men and women can wear this. I do think it is too expensive. Personally once a fragrance crosses the $200.00 mark I expect a lot from it. I may not be able to articulate what that “it” is in this instance but with this I do keep coming back to the fact that my gut is telling me this is too basic to justify the price.

I tested it, and I have to say I was so so dissapinted. (Althought it's a nice caramel-vanilla scent!) But I just literary could copy what Sheylor.Oliver said before me. I was already sad about the price/ml before I tested it... and when I sow the bottle in persone o.O... it's soooo tiny and light... it's looks like only a 30ml. The scent is not bad, but I prefer stronger vanilla fragrances, on me it was light and not a big projector. Try it before buying it. Maybe I will try it again later.

To me, this is a lesser (in every way) Disumano. If you don’t want a super pungent caramel or strong scent in general, you might like this but I like my caramel and toffee perfumes so strong, you can feel it sticking to your teeth.

Similar to fire at will from Jovoy, but this is synthetic and not as well blended or round. Reminds me of cheap vanilla body sprays. I love fire at will, but this is her cheap smelling little sister with a poor longevity

Nothing "New" about this fragrance house or fragrance. If you own Escapade Gourmand you DO NOT need this as it's literally identical to EG. So there's that. When did originality and innovation become a bad thing???

If Bianco Latte and Escapade Gourmand had a baby you’d get Caramelo Vanilla. She’s extremely light and doesn’t last long.

Got a sample, can barely smell anything at all. Five minutes of a watered-down B.Latte. WTH?

Don't get too much caramel. It smells EXACTLY like an Barnum's animal cracker!

Maybe there lie dormantly some quality dulce de leche and caramello scents, but they are delivered in harsh synthetic nail polish remover slash lipstick forms that doesnt do it justice. Positively it is not cloyingly sweet though being vanilla and icecreamy. Not bad but many other more refined sweet gourmand scents hover around - try it if you dont mind non natural base and want something with toned down sweetness.

generic synthetic caramel gourmand fragrance, overly sweet and very cloying. smells like playdough but the only other thing you can smell is it's hopes and dreams to be the next bianco latte/escapade gourmande. smells like a cheap body spray, and performs like one too

I may be in the minority here, but this smells like what a cigarette smoker who wears vanilla perfume would smell like. It's smokey in a way I can't get behind

This is so mediocre. New notes my ass. Smells like dulce de leche? Be serious for once. This is generic sweetness and nothing else.

got a sample of this and i lowkey smell nothing.... lol. opening was a VERY extremely harsh alcoholic smell. and not the good boozy kind, just straight up nail polish remover. and it took an entire minute or two to go away !!! wtf ? ( ˶°ᄆ°) !! after that the fragrance is just.... nonexistent. like, theres a hint of sweetness, yeah, but i cant even put my finger on WHAT exactly im smelling. its like im smelling the IDEA of caramel-vanilla, but thats about it. ;w;

I feel like such an idiot that I just plunked down $149.00 USD for 1.7ml of this extrait. Charging this price for a perfume, or even worse, an EXTRAIT with such POOR performance should be a crime. But I'm the fool that fell for the hype. I've over sprayed and I smell zero. Just some synthetic, faint caramel notes. I feel upset that I spent the amount I did for this garbage. The bottle is going into the trash.

I don’t smell anything remotely gourmand. Extremely disappointed. Save your money. Way better gourmand or sweet fragrance out there. I smell harsh alcohol more than anything.

To my nose, this shares the same synthetic cheap caramel note that I pick up in Bianco Latte, Caramel Cascade, and there's a trace of it in Fire at will.

Well, I got influenced. Everyone had such lovely things to say. So I blind bought this at 40% off (which was still too much for what I received) and I should've known better by now 🙈 Not 1 of them mentioned this happens to smell just like the dry down of Escapade Gourmand which I immediately recognized. So disappointed. For some reason I was expecting an actual Caramel creamy fragrance 🙄 Seriously this is like an over priced dupe house which is hilarious since they claim the name of NEW NOTES. I obviously like this scent profile so I'll go ahead and use it up but highly unlikely that I'll be interested in anything from this BS House again. 100% watered-down Escapade Gourmand.

well ... the search for my perfect vanilla continues. I blind bought Bianco Latte because everyone says its the dream (vanilla, cozy, warm, lactonic, creamy, and sweet- but not overly sweet) and it's way, way to plastic-y on me. So i got a sample of this and after spraying it on a test strip, I definitely liked it more than BL... So I sprayed maybe three sprays on skin and its OK... then my husband walked in and says "What smells like play-dough?" and now thats all I can smell. Hah, absolutely has a play-dough like, synthetic quality. Not as bad as bianco, but not great. On to the next

It’s like someone sprayed Escapade Gourmand inside of an incense shop, or someone tried to make EG scented incense. I’m shocked incense is not a note listed, because it’s the first thing that pops up in my mind. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t pay that much to smell like Vanilla Incense. Btw, I don’t mind incense fragrances, but I need a dark berry or plum note to round it out. Adding a deep raspberry or plum note would’ve made it a sexier fragrance. As I was writing this, I got an idea and layered it with Dark Kiss. Yup! That’s the sexiness that I was looking for! ✔️

I'm not typically drawn to vanilla scents, but I must say, this particular fragrance has completely won me over! It's hands down the most delightful vanilla scent l've ever come across. Trying this has piqued my interest in exploring other vanilla-based fragrances, like Bianca latte. I highly recommend this scent because it offers more than just vanilla notes. The combination of caramel and cotton candy creates an amazing aroma that's truly worth experiencing.

Dulce de leche goddess! I’m so glad I blind bought this one, I can’t stop sniffing my arm. As a gourmand lover, this is a dream! The notes are so very well blended, it’s not overly sweet - very cozy but yet suitable to any time of the year, though it will probably shine during colder months. The dry down reminds me of Tihota with caramel added. Probably the best caramel fragrance in my collection! Definitely 10/10.

This is exactly as described- a very good caramel vanilla. Don’t expect anything else! It is deep, rich and sweet. It isn’t at all like baby sick or vomit, or sour milk. It isn’t synthetic smelling. It smells exactly like dulce de leche. No flowers, no boozy amber. So long as you don’t expect too much or too little- you will be very happy- like me. Yummy for winter. Great for layering. Wears close to skin.

Sorry to say, but I think you're all noseblind. It last for hours and hours (and on skin !) and project a lot. If I leave a room and come back I can smell it. For the scent itself, it's your warm vanilla sugar dream. I don't smell dulce de leche, coton candy and no floral at all. It's pure vanilla with a hint of caramel. Love it, of course but you have to like sweetness to like this fragrance.

More exciting than Bianco Latte (which is the biggest snore of a fragrance), less exciting than Amore Caffe. This costs way too much for how boring and unremarkable it is. I really don't get the hype around this condensed milk DNA - I get no dulce de leche or caramel, just straight sweet milk. I LOVE gourmands, but this DNA is just so dull.

I am looking forward to sampling this one. They caught my attention with the hilarious ad - with the ancient statue face - with the photoshopped image of a girl with a lolly pop in her cheek. Great marketing! This immediately sends the image that this will be a fun new perfume with a bit of playfulness!

Another photorealistic creme brulee-esq scent, similar to (but not a dupe of) Escapade gourmand and Bianco latte but does not perform as well. If you have one or both of the aforementioned, you do not need this one. I'll also add that this is definitely not worth £100+! Save your coins!!
