Queen Of The Sea

A nectar of citrus fruits and radiant blooms infused with a hint of sea breeze. The hypnotic quintessence of the sea does make me feel a little seasick, but in a way that I am amidst the ocean on a ship being rocked by the waves back and forth. In my mind, it is an experience more of an immersive nature than a nuisance that causes headaches. It is not filled with aquatic harshness as the usual designer tries to capture in their maritime lines. Instead, it is more reminiscent of the seaweed under the sea. The rejuvenating breath of green hues of fresh, crystalline water envelops the senses with a visual, tangible, and harmonious embrace of a liquid queen. Petals of rose, magnolia, and geranium, sprinkled with salty dew, drift lazily as if you were relaxing at the water's edge. An embrace lingering in the deep wake of precious woods, amber, patchouli, and musk. An all-day, all-rounder scent, and as expected from an extrait you will smell this for days on your clothes. But to be transparent, this is not a safe blind purchase. As mentioned by others below, this scent is rather unconventional, and given the limited number of reviews, you'll possess a secret weapon in your hands. However, personally, if I were to buy it without prior knowledge, I would be delighted because I actively seek diversity in my collection, and Queen of The Sea is not only unique but also exquisitely elegant in its scent.

I blind bought this because I was after a marine rose fragrance and I'm not going to lie... the first wear was tricky for me. I LOVED the initial spray but after about an hour, it started to smell metallic and quite mineral on me. I was disappointed to say the least. I put my bottle aside for a few weeks and then tried it again. There's nothing metallic or mineral about it anymore. It opens with gorgeous citrus, rose and oceanic notes and smells fresh on me all day. The dry down on your clothes the next day is even better! It's a bit linear but I don't mind that. It's exactly what I was after. I guess my bottle just needed to macerate a bit further? If you had issues with Queen of the Sea, I recommend trying it again after a while because it definitely develops beautifully.

I am a marine perfume lover so this is the one I was most excited about in my new notes discovery set and It absolutely lived up to my expectations, It opens with the sea, salty, aquatic, mineral and bright, on my skin it fels even a bit metallic. After an hour, a fruity tangy sweetness appears, maybe the grapefruit and the flowers start to emerge and also something green, it's the pelargonium which I know very well because I have it in my balcony. I'm still waiting for the dry down, but so far this is amazing. EDIT The drydown was mainly marine notes, and a little flowers. I liked it, but I kept missing the grapefruit which gave this perfume such a glorious moment, I will be layering this to see how it goes. What a journey, such a dynamic perfume

Queen of the Seas – My Unexpected Signature During a recent fragrance consultation, Queen of the Seas by New Notes was one of the scents that stood out as a perfect match for me. The perfumer even mentioned how beautifully it wore on my skin — soft yet distinctive. What surprised me the most is that I never considered myself a niche perfume enthusiast. And yet, this marine-inspired fragrance completely captivated me. As someone who’s always been drawn to the sea, its fresh, deep, and slightly mysterious character felt like an olfactory reflection of my own essence. Somehow, it blends elegance with wild freedom — and I love that contrast. It’s a reminder that sometimes the best discoveries come when you’re open to trying something new.

I paid 220 Euros to get my hands on this beauty and it was worth every penny. It is a photorealistic sea note and it gives you the vibes that you are on a yacht in the middle of the sea. Straight out of their website gives the following description and it is spot on accurate: "A nectar of citrus and bright flowers in a gust of sea breeze. The regenerating breath and the green shades of fresh and crystalline waters envelop the senses with visual, tactile and harmonious nuances. Time stops and the mind wanders, enraptured by the exquisite essence of infinity, in the arms of a liquid Queen." Also: "The sensation of floating on the sea, immersed in fresh, green and crystalline waters. The regenerating essence of infinity and freedom."

Ok, this one is crazy. Those who are familiar with the sea know, the sea smells exactly like this. It’s not light, not dark, but perfectly balanced. The sea is all about balance, and Queen of the Sea has captured it so beautifully that talking about the perfume’s notes feels insufficient. Brilliant, amazing!

Wonderful scent which a bit smells like a dirty, algae, stagnant water but in a very wearable way. Definitely a smell I've never felt before. Perfect for summer, lasts long enough (~ 6 hours), the sillage is moderate. Sustainability is in the focus, and as I've read all of the new notes perfumes are vegan.

Unique and weird. This is what I imagine a Syren smells like: Sea water (very realistic), musk and a floral undertone. Imagine those solar/sand/aquatic perfumes that have been popular for the last few summers but it's emo cousin. It's not sunny, instead damp and dusk, but very alluring.

I just simply love it! It sits sooo perfectly on me. There's not a single day I wouldn't receive a compliment whenever I wear it. In my case, I can wear it all year round. People say they smell sea, sand, salt, wind on me, which IS about me.

I love this, it's something delicious in it, at least for me. It opens fresh, marine, manly but it warms up as I wear it, it gets sweeter, more feminine, a juicy rose. Perfect for the hot weather.

Fabulous. Queen of the Sea has one of the most distinctive and delicious perfume openings I’ve smelled in a while; it’s built from sea notes, aromatic and juicy blood red grapefruit, and satiny opaque pink rose. The sea notes walk a magic line between caloney blue melon and the super salty and oily more modern feeling aroma chemicals. They unfortunately fade within 30 minutes but that meaty grapefruit hangs in for the life of the perfume on skin, about ten hours. It’s amazing. Some versions of part of this have been done before, for instance citrusy pink rose intended for summer wear, but this is different. The grapefruit has so much more oomph to it, and the rose also has weight and presence. I really like this fragrance, maybe especially because I’m currently stuck in the east coast US winter with temperatures averaging 20 degrees Fahrenheit for the past several weeks. Normally I’d be visiting Florida soon but I can’t this year and this fragrance takes me to the Keys in my imagination. It’s evocative of the pleasures of a warm place near the sea.

مثل همه‌ی عطر ها که شرایط آب وهوایی،احوالات و احساسات مون هنگام تست و پوشیدن عطر،موقعیت زمانی و خیلی چیزهای دیگه تاثیر گذار هست؛این عطر هم در هر بار تست کردن،احساسات گوناگون ای بهم منتقل کرد که در نهایت فصل بهار و پاییز بهترین اجرا رو ازش گرفتم و حسابی روی پوست بازی می کرد شروع ای پرشور از مُرکبات که بوی لیمو به خوبی توش حس میشه و گریپ فروت هم یک تلخی و شیرینی ظریف ای به عطر بخشیده رایحه‌ی پرقدرت دریایی که حس لم دادن روی یک صندلی نزدیک ساحل رو بهم داد که چوب های شوره زده کنار یک ساحل تمیز افتاده اند و کمی هم جلبک بهشون چسبیده و نسیم ای از روی گل ها (رز،شمعدانی،نرولی و ...) گذر کرده و از آب دریا و چوب های نمکی رد شده و به صورت می خوره عمیق که بو می کنم،یک وجه سبز و پارافینی دریافت می کنم که به نظرم حس دافعه نداشت و می تونه نشات گرفته از شمعدانی باشه مُرکبات کم رنگ میشن و ترکیب ای از چوب و گُل و روایح دریایی،ساختار عطر رو تا پایان شکل میدن و تغییرات زیاد ای دیگه براشون رُخ نمیده توی این عطر هم خیلی نت ها طبیعی نیستند و تم سنتتیک غالب هست ************** scent:7.5/10 longevity:10/10 sillage:10/10 purchase value:5/10 ******** overall:8.1/10

In most floral marine compositions, there’s a certain familiar structure I’ve come to expect: a marine accord (that salty touch), a citrus lift (usually bergamot, sometimes petitgrain), neroli (a must for that sea-breeze illusion), white florals like magnolia, refined jasmine or gardenia, and musks grounding the base. This type of composition rarely disappoints; and this one didn’t either. The structure feels well-balanced. What I especially enjoyed here is the presence of rose and the more pronounced saltiness. It’s effortlessly beautiful. Though the opening feels somewhat generic, the drydown truly won me over. Tag(s): Salty rose, fresh floral marine

I love how everyone is talking about the opening because I genuinely thought I'd found my new signature scent for a minute there. It's so difficult to find a fresh scent that is alluring and enchanting, and the opening really gives that. Unfortunately after about 30 minutes all that mystery disappears and all that's left is a boring rose musk. It completely disappeared on skin within 4hrs. I definitely won't be buying the full bottle but I might get a sample just for that opening.

Another example of the good way to name a fragrance. This is a perfume for mermaids, it smells exactly like it is called. When I first smelled it, I thought it was very aquatic and citrusy, but then it developed into a woody aromatic skin scent. There is a middle note that feels a bit too sour on my skin but overall it is a pretty scent, complex, elevated and story telling. I would love to own a full bottle for the summer.

Very authentic rose water smell

there is something so repulsive about this. if the ocean could be expired, I imagine it'd smell similar. After a while it turns smoother, I guess, and there's some really pretty parts to it.

The opening is all fresh aquatic notes with rose, a lot of rose, not to my liking. The dry down is better, than the mineral seanote appears. Not a love for me.

Both sillage and longevity are above average when talking about New Notes (as their longevity and sillage tends to be more mediocre) but the fragrance itself was and is there with us waaay longer than from 2022, I do remember similar Avon perfumes in 90s. In the beginning juicy grapefruit, then rose, pelargonia and mix of neutral yellow and green floral notes. Fresh, punchy, but very interchangeable, no signature material there.
