Cashmere

What an amazing thing - scent memory! it takes you all the way back to the moments that connect you with the particular scent, and if the connection was strong enough your receptors sort of scream at you, following the Proust's Madeleine... Now you just have no choice but to play this scent detective untangling the notes, the time, the memories until the last piece of the puzzle click and the restlessness is replaced with a blessing of astonishment. Where, how and when have we meet? The bigger the surprise the greater the prize. This one is huge. Nothing, I repeat, nothing helps with getting to the heart of the case: the ultra feminine bottle, the soft yet slightly animalic name, the simple notes, but the nose says: nope, I've got a recollection of this and it was something else. Took me 24 hours of my little scent Poirot play and I'm there. Sort of, because there are 2 scents I don't own anymore, so can't really tell which one would be the closest. My first trail would be Bvlgari Blv or Blv Notte - the good old Nivea cream in a form of a proper perfume, or more Nivea with a touch of the animalic musky darkness. The other "suspect" would be Bvlgari Black, the one that was packaged in a tyre-resembling bottle, to play along the rubbery / asphalty dark soul resting on a soft vanilla, iris & musk bed of Bvlgari DNA. Dark yet sweet, light yet pretty much on the heavier side, comforting yet disturbing, feminine yet not all the way, musky and sexy in a very complex, not complicated, way. Very different packaging, very much of scent resemblance. I've missed both of them - fascinating, daring, intriguing, memorable - much different from the faceless crowd of today's sweet flowery clones. Purchased a whole set (shower gel, body balm and 30 ml of perfume for under 10gbp), now I'm rather torn apart between the urge of drowning myself in the memories and the wish of actually keeping the bottle for as long as possible... Well, the wash & body balm might give me the much needed satisfaction :)

Cashmere is a really nice , elegant flowery/leathery perfume. Mysteriously there’s no leather note listed ... am I the only one that smell suede/leather? A very subtle,creamy suede ? To my nose : powder (like old fashioned expensive blush or face powder) Ivy leafs , violets, grass, woods, frankincense , white flowers, Musk, white deer suede, leather. The most noticeable note to me is the suede - surrounded by woody and floral notes. I can also detect some green notes - specially in the first 30mins. It start fresh and become more rounded,creamy . It makes me think about a sunny autumn day .when the air is crisp and you start wearing a warm scarf or a cardigan. The name couldn’t be more appropriate . I think it’s very elegant,classy and unusual. Sort of old school . I love it to bits more I wear it and more I love it- it has some kind of sexy tone - not loud , not evident - subtle and sensuous . Definetly a woman( in her 30’s or 40’s) kind of classy scent . Considering the price , a masterpiece.

This is seriously beautiful! Definitely on the lighter, sweeter side of powdery but in no way sickly. It’s light but luxurious, clean and I’m sure I can detect a little suede in there somewhere too. I was shopping with my grandfather and he bought a bottle of this as my late nana used to wear it and he likes the memory it provides. She also used to love Anais Anais by Casharel and this is definitely in the same makeup. I have to say I snuck back and bought myself a bottle and it will be my new day to day perfume. It reminds me of my nana now too, along the scent of L’Oréal hairspray and Olay beauty fluid. 🥰 Silage and projection are gentle, but for the price point I don’t think it gets much better than this. I hope Next never discontinue it.

I love this! Have had many bottles of it over the years. Such a comforting fragrance. White florals, powdery with subtle musk.This really is cheep as chips but definitely reminds me of EL Sensuous Nude. I like to wear this on autumn/winter evenings and often spray it on my bed linen. There are lots of Next fragrances not listed here in the database, which is a shame. IMO Some of them could give the designer fragrances some serious competition. I do not work for Next!

A lovely spring-summer fragrance if you're looking for a change from something citrus. Very fresh smelling, long lasting and work-friendly too. There is also, to my nose, something unisex about Cashmere...too bad not enough info on its notes. Knock spots off a lot of pricier fragrances. There are few fragrance that I love and would repurchase time after time and this is one of them. Looking forward to getting a bigger bottle in time for summer ;-)

so inoffensive and you can't overspray this. I iked it initially, but the more I smell it, the more I have fallen in love. it reminds me of lifebouy soap, lol, but in a really good and comforting way. Apparently Marylin Monroe used to smell like lifebouy soap but in a clean elegant way. Im thinking maybe it was kind of like THIS perfume. It literally smells like you stepped out of a shower. So always smelling shower fresh is quite the goal. 👍

I agree with the lady below... Next do some amazing perfume. Recently I got 2 called enchantment and I think one star (that was for my sister). The enchantment one is like Tudor rose and amber, or joop wow or a very dark patchouli rose. Inspired by this amazing scent I went on to buy cashmere and define. Cashmere is definitely a sultry powdery musk fragrance which is like sensuous and define is just like emporio armarni lei. Love them both

This is just lovable! Soft and gentle, powdery floral,"baby-pink", very feminine and comforting. Very easy to wear and at this price it's an "everyday" winner. It would easily become one of my favourites if it wasn't so short lived. On me Next Cashmere disappears very fast. Still - I really enjoy wearing this one!

This is my fail safe perfume, I will always have a bottle on my dressing table. It is very much more powdery than floral but that doesn't matter to me. It has good staying power - it's like a hug in a bottle.

I absolutely love this perfume, to me it smells more creamy, sweet and musky than floral or powdery. It's a very comforting scent, and very "soft" - I think the name suits it well.

'Powdery' doesn't quite cut it. This is a light, vaguely floral scent that immediately brings to mind a soft, silky, beige-pink colour palette. Its distinctly 2000s vibe transplanted to the modern day makes me think of an older millennial woman who's too loyal for her own good, sticking to her high school scent determinedly because it's still pretty, damn it! And she's right: it's pretty, vaguely chic - surprising considering the price point - and also quite...comforting? That could be the nostalgia. She would've worn this when things were simpler and buying a perfume from Next was really the extent of your worries. Cashmere is the perfect name for this - soft, enveloping, and not as expensive as you might think.

This is nice. I was fortunate enough to be given a brand new 50ml bottle for free along with unopened body lotion, after putting out a plea at work for just a sample! (The lady who gave it to me said she had received the perfume and lotion as a gift and had never got around to opening it so she was glad to give it away!) Anyway. This is nice. It opens really nicely but the dry down has something I can't quite put my finger on which makes it not quite a favourite. It's powdery and soft. The body lotion is actually nicer than the perfume; maybe because it's a bit more subtle. The perfume is quite powerful. I will use up my bottle and be glad I tried it, but it won't be a repeat scent for me.

I don't understand how this database can have so many offerings from houses like Zara & H&M but lists so very few from Next. I'm in the UK and their fragrances seem pretty popular here. On several occasions I've had clients walk into the room and I've complimented them on their fragrance, only for them to tell me it's Next. I've had both hit and miss fragrances from them but Cashmere is most definitely a keeper and probably a repurchase at some point too. It's such a warm, cosy scent, perfect for autumn and winter moths. It projects perfectly without being overwhelming, making it perfect for an office environment and it has great lasting power.

So lovely, lightly floral, softly woody with just the right amount of cosy powder, like vintage face powder. It's such an easy fragrance, great for when you want to smell nice and not give it too much thought and good too if you want something pleasant and inoffensive. Reminds me a little of Armani Mania, without the orange or pepper, that cashmere feeling they share. Worth more than its price tag for sure.

This is not powdery on my skin at all! What I get is a warm woody scent, a bit bitter a bit sweet and oh so cosy. Classy, inexpensive and with decent longevity ( lasts ca 5h, ok, could be better but oh well), could I wish for more? I love how it's not sweet, sorry candy lovers but this is pretty mature which I really love. There's so much wood in this I'm in woody-creamy bliss.

Powdery it is! Lasts all day long, quite pleasant, feminine. Actually i think NEXT produces quality stuff, and this is just one example. Their perfumes are fresh & elegant, great for everyday use. They are irreplaceable when you want to smell something not as common (famous brands' perfumes, many of which are quite bold, too), however, exquisite.

A bright burst of florals followed very quickly by creamy softness with warm woody overtones. I started off by liking this perfume and am now loving it. Very Feminine, smells oodles more expensive than its price tag. On my skin its longevity is very good. What more can I want!

A blind buy based on the notes-its more powdery than floral, but very smooth and comforting. Its simple, warm and cosy. The musk is minimal though. It layered very well with Avon Soft Musk. I got this on ebay for pennies-well worth it.

It's powdery, feminine and musky. My favourite perfume for lounging around in cosy knits. That's a smell of a woman, freshly out of the hot shower, wrapped in clean, fluffy towel. Alluring and addictive scent of clean skin.

This to me smells like baby wipes and powder. I sometimes wear it to work because it’s not overpowering and won’t offend anyone. I mostly wear it in the evening and before bed.

Creamy powder, indulgent lotion, warm and enveloping, smooth and relaxing. Classy. Grown up. An evening before bed snuggled into your coziest softest blanket with a good book.

Received as present. Would not have bought for myself. Powdery, lasts very little, and has an unpleasant sour opening on me. Generally, a perfume without much character.

Bergamot and cashmere notes. Actually very very similar to Bvlgari Crystalline, which I've always considered to have a wooly cashmere note.

Love this perfume! I use this as a “top up” and a “daily” perfume whilst I’m at work. It’s very affordable and smells so clean and fresh!

I do think it smells like a very light, fresher Sensuous Nude, but I wouldn’t say it’s a dupe. It has that same powdery comforting thing going for it. Weirdly though I actually enjoy this for the fact that it’s much lighter, it’s a perfect frag to wear when you don’t want to feel overwhelmed or for work, but you still want to feel cosy. It’s very nice, a strong like for me. On another note - Next have released a perfume recently called Gold that isn’t on the database here yet, which is an almost-dupe for Amor Amor by Cacherel, the same way this is an almost-dupe for Sensuous Nude.

The new version of the bottle is beautiful. As next states: a soft and sensuous fragance combining beautiful florals and delicate powdery musks. Luxurious and soft. To be honest, reminds me very much of another Next fragance, define. Smile: Bergamot and freesia Heart: Rose and Muguet Soul: Musk and Incense.

Next has relaunched this fragance with a new bottle. Honestly I think is the same juice with a facelift and sadly I prefer the old bottle as it looks more charming.

Based on the reviews, I should have loved this. But all I’m getting is pencil shavings mixed with a bit of vintage makeup powder. I don’t like it at all. I suppose you could say it was soft, but I wouldn’t call it feminine by any means, not fresh or floral or sweet, or baby powder, just slightly powdery wood. Such a disappointment, I would love to smell what everyone else does.

I think this actully smells like talcum powder, its ok but i dont think i would wear it other than just got out of the shower or lounging around the house

Yes. I like this. It is such a warm, cozy, comfy scent. Very inoffensive, I can't imagine people actively disliking this. It's been done in a very soft way, not harsh or sharp like some powdery florals. Because yes, it's very powdery, very floral. I don't get a lot of musk. It's not the most interesting of scents, it won't knock anyone's socks off. Certainly not a glamorous going-out scent. It's more of a fluffy-woolly-jumper lounge-about-the-house scent, and it's the perfect price for that. As an aside, I have the EDP and the bodyspray, and I actually kind of prefer the body spray. I initially bought it to take on holiday as it's a good size for hand-luggage and that was what persuaded me to buy the EDP when I got back. I've since replaced the body spray many times over but I don't use the EDP half as much. Can't really say why, but I'd urge everyone to spend the whopping three quid or whatever it is on the bodyspray and drench themselves in it after showering.

A lovely cosy, warm, baby powdery fragrance with underlying dry musk. I have the original triangular bottle and the fragranced dusting powder. Strangely I haven't worn it outside my house. Definitely a fragrance for post shower pre bed evening. Excellent quality for the price. It reminds me of the current formulation of Avons Soft Musk but without the initial blast of alcohol.

I could not agree more with the baby wipes comment! I smelled this and it made me think immediately of my student days wiping old peoples bottoms in a hospital. needless to say it initiated my gag reflex! I love white powdery florals normally but this smells dirty and sweaty and old.

This is niiiiice!!!! It is beachy but could be worn year round. I love the saltiness of it. I also recognise a suede note like others have said. It reminds me a bit of Elizabeth Arden's 'Mediterranean' which I LOVE. I have ordered a sample of EL 'Sensuous Nude' to compare it to.

Surprisingly good for a clothes store cheapo. The musk is most unusual, because of the light candied gourmand blend that makes it almost coconut sweet. Its discreet but it's quite sexy in a warm snuzzly way. Unfortunately it only lasted about an hour on me.

Cosy, powdery and weirdly nostalgic as I wore this all through my teens - I’ve recently rebought as a casual perfume for wearing around the house etc when I don’t want to waste something expensive! It’s not mind blowing, but it’s nice :)

As a women in her early 40's I admit my child rearing days are long gone, in the absence of random babies to pick up and sniff this is a very close second.A fluffy hug in a bottle a fix for my broodiness, a gorgeous warm scent . Love it

Love this. Warm and cosy. More powder musk on me with just hint of floral. Like a snuggly knitted jumper and hug all-in a bottle. Musky scents last forever in me so well worth it. Quite cheap but doesn't smell it. I do love next scents

I first smelled this years ago and gifted to my mum in law on her birthday. However, I have now given in and got myself a 30ml bottle. This has always smelled really nice to me it is soft/sensual and smells luxurious.

I don't know if my nose has gone weird or not, but nowerdays this fragrance smells like Dior J'Adore to me... It never used to. It smelled warmer and more spicey before... :S

I sprayed this while browsing in a Next store, and liked it enough to make an impulse purchase. I've struggled to wear it since. It just smells artificial and cheap.

Very underrated perfume ! Smells like a luxury soap I always have this in my collection for days when you just want to Smell good rather than ‘ perfumed’

This is Aquolina Pink Sugar without the sugar, Pink Sugar for adults. It is nice, very inoffensive soft & cosy. For the price it is very good value.

It is a really nice powdery semi-sweet scent. A bit warm, the warmthess comes from cashmere. So the name fits well. Longevity average.

Smells outstandingly identical to Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude. Definitely a warm, comforting scent.
